Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Kerry: Anti-Islamic State coalition means “demolishing the distortion of one of the world’s great peaceful religions”

Sep 8, 2014 10:16 pm By Robert Spencer

John-Kerry2This is why we must fight the Islamic State: so that people won’t misunderstand Islam. Because as Kerry’s boss would say, the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. “Remarks on the Formation of the Iraqi Government,” remarks by John Kerry, September 8, 2014 (thanks to Jerk Chicken):

As we build this coalition, I want to underscore that almost every single country on Earth has a role to play in eliminating the ISIL threat and the evil that it represents. For some that will mean military assistance, both direct and in the form of training, arming, and advising, equipping. For some it will mean contributing to the desperately needed humanitarian relief effort. For some it will mean helping to identify, track, and cut off ISIL’s funding, and prevent the flow of foreign fighters. For still others it will mean demolishing the distortion of one of the world’s great peaceful religions and counteracting the propaganda ISIL uses to recruit new supporters. And for all it will mean publicly supporting the new inclusive government in Iraq.

As recently said and openly published: “John Kerry–a bad haircut looking for a brain.”

Just remember what FDR reputedly said:

“In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.” Kerry’s comments are chosen and planned.

Kerry is just the ventriloquist’s dummy mouthing what his superiors tell him to say. Go upstream: this is BHO & Co. speaking.

Question: Who benefits from these lies? Hummmm?

Those in New England know all about this fop with a phony upper-crust accent cultivated after his stint in Vietnam (listen to a tape some time and compare how he spoke at the Vietnam War hearings with how he speaks now). It was a new low even for Obama when he appointed a man this limited to replace Clinton, herself no prize. The NE media used to refer to Kerry as “John Liveshot Kerry” due to his penchant for hogging camera time when he was in Congress. So when this lightweight pretends Mohammedanism is distorted by IS, you can’t really blame him; in all likelihood, he truly does not know the truth. Naturally, as is the case with all our intellectually challenged pols these days, someone else wrote the speech Kerry delivered.

“Those in NE” — uh — whaddaya mean? — this ‘FOP’ as you put it was repeatedly sent to congress along with the putrid kennedys!

Ah, BudV, this could come as a surprise to you, but NE is bigger than the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We all listen to big Boston radio and TV here, and it was through those media that we became well acquainted with Mr. Theresa Hynes, the fop in question. The Demohammedan Party members in one part of MA also sent Barney Frank to Washington repeatedly, but NE isn’t for that reason to be thought especially sodomic.Texas, for example, sent that slimy creep Lyndon B Johnson to Washington several times, but I don’t judge Texas on the basis of that anomaly. I don’t even judge Texas for more recently sending that other slimy and stupid creep G W Bush to the White House.

He also made lots of money by being a Senator. Like others, until the loophole was closed, with the help of inside information to which obviouosly members of Congress are privy, he was able to make some neat investments. For instance, you know that the Feds are going to build something or buy a new arms system or such . You buy shares in the company which is going to do it, or buy land near where the new project is to be carried out and sell it later at a handsome profit.

          RE: LBJ & G.W. Bush

They might have been slimy, BUT THEY LOVED THIS COUNTRY. The same cannot (in my view) be said for Kerry (look at his leis- re: Nam; etc); Obama; Shillery, etc.
I also don’t think G. W. Bush was as bad as the press (notoriously ANTI-REPUBLICAN–should one have missed it) made him out to be. (He was -i believe, a pilot in the National Guard); just like Obama is not the genius the press makes him out to be.

(So, he mispronounced words- as did LBJ; as the late Dizzy Dean once said (long before I was born) about his using the word “ain’t”.

“A lot of people who don’t say ain’t, ain’t eating’. (The way i ahd read it). My opinions.

I think the Saudi clerics (not the royals, though the money comes from them) have contributed to the creation of the Caliphate in order to make their system more Islamic. It appears to me that the Imams would be interested in replacing the royals with a more Islamically acceptable source of funding, which the Caliphate would be.

If that’s the case, the royals are in a tough situation. They are forced to supply the means of their own destruction. At least they will have had fun while it lasted. Should we feel sorry for them? Nah.

Don’t beat me up too much….but is there a possibility…and I just mean a possibility, that the administration is well aware that Islam is of course the problem. But, they need to keep up the charade of it being peaceful to pacify governments for some reason.

For example, we know, and the administration knows that Pakistan (for example) is a total shit country with absolutely no redeeming value filled with complete nut jobs. But, for us to publicly go on record of such facts would perhaps alienate the military there who are keeping their nukes away from ISIS and other Islamic groups.

And the same goes for so many of these other pathetic Muslim countries. We have to keep up the charade because perhaps we (the general public) don’t realize how volatile of a situation we’re in as far as maintaining intelligence gathering, having secure supplies of oil, maintaining military bases in Saudi Arabia, containing existing US terror cells and maintaining our “friends” so that we can make sure weapons of mass destruction are kept in the right places. Because once Obama or Kerry starts blaming everything on Islam, we’re basically insulting and pissing off many of these Muslim countries who we rely on for many things.

Is the administration really so dumb? It’s not too hard to figure out that Islam is the problem.

Yea, I think you’re dead on. Kerry and Obama are very intelligent, highly educated men, and they certainly MUST know what ISLAM is really about– i.e., total domination of ever person and place on earth.

The question is, how long can this “peaceful Islam” nonsense be sold to the public, in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, and what will happen when the mask comes off? Probably will spark a whole new level of violence, but may be worth it because people may finally wake up yo the threat and begin to fight back in a coordinated way.

I think it has more to do with Gulf Arabs buying influence directly. Georgetown and Harvard are the tip of a filthy lucre iceberg I would guess. CAIR-WTF bundles for Pelosi. Bush, Cheney, the Clintons, and so on are all recipients of massive Gulf Arab monies.

In the case of Pakistan your point may have more validity. Not sure.

@Scott Allen: Having worked for the US Department of State, I think that there is a fair amount of sound intuition in your analyses; although I would also caution that the current administration is also riddled from top to bottom with a sentimental Third Worldism.

I think it perhaps more accurate to characterize the Bush administration as operating on the assumption that the Islamic world was just too large (and not necessarily all in the jihadist boat) to antagonize by giving voice to the misgivings about Islam held bymost thinking and aware non-Muslims. Certainly as a “Christer”–as the MSM would casually dismiss him–Bush the younger probably saw in Islam a false belief, regardless of the personal esteem in which he may have held some of its adherents. Add to this, despite the Immoderate Left’s insistence that the Evangelical Right is preparing thumbscrews, racks, and faggots for everyone else, Bush’s Evangelicalism (like that of 99.95% of America’s Evangelicals) sees persuasion, example, and prayer as the way to convert the world, not force.

The Obama-Clinton-Kerry cabal also has the same geopolitical realities to contend with in its dealings with the Islamic world. Unhappily, it is also steeped in an EmCeePeeCee mindset that is unwilling to denigrate one of the “noble savage victitms” of a wicked Western world and shot through with the Western secular liberal conceit that it is somehow above the benighted wranglings of traditional theists.

I think that a lot of people, Left and RIght, have figured out that Islam is the problem. It’s just that it would not be prudent to wage a global Crusade (which wouldn’t know what it’s for in any case) everywhere from Mauretania to Mindanao, Nigeria to Ningxia, and the Kama to the Comorros. Unhappily, nobody has come up with an appropriate rhetoric or policy that takes this into account and can avoid making our own leadership appear anything but idiotic.

So, ISIS are not real Muslims, says Kerry. That would certainly be news to them. But Kerry knows their motives even if they do not. Never mind that the killers of ISIS quote the Quran chapter and verse to justify their crimes, Kerry says it’s not the true Islam. He insists Islam teaches peace and harmony, which is exactly the opposite of what the Islamic warriors of ISIS (most of whom have been Muslims their entire lives), say.

But it really doesn’t matter if the Islam in Kerry’s head conforms to the Islam currently residing inside the thick skulls of ISIS, or not. This kind of theocratic hairsplitting is absolutely irrelevant. To paraphrase Forrest Gump, Islam is as Islam does, and what millions of its followers do is take license from the dogma of their holy book and act in accordance to its exhortations. In their minds, all of the atrocities are justified and sanctioned by Allah Akbar himself. These people are not so much “fundamentalist” as “literalists”. People who have chosen to take the lunatic rantings of an ultra violent, mentally-disturbed 7th century Arabian warlord, literally.

Is Islam a religion of peace? Johns Kerry’s is, but ISIS’s is not. Who do you think knows Islam better, John Kerry or people who have been force fed its tenets since they were knee high to an AK-47?

In the final analysis, Kerry’s ridiculous remarks are not meant for ISIS. ISIS doesn’t care what John Kerry thinks. They know better. Kerry pointing out the errors of this total misinterpretation of Islam will not change the minds of these homicidal maniacs or stop them raping and pillaging for one second, and Kerry knows it. At this point, the only way to stop them is to destroy them and Kerry and Obama don’t have the stomach to do what needs to be done to that end. We’ll have to fight them later, when they are much stronger or have pulled off a terrorist attack on U.S. soil.

The real reason Kerry peddles this hogwash about Islam being peaceful and full of the milk of human kindness, is to suck up to so-called “moderate” Muslims in the west and be politically correct. Another reason is to reassure gullible Americans they have nothing to fear from the intrusion of Islam into every facet of their lives ( Saudi funded mega-mosques, sharia, blasphemy laws, halal food, gender segregation, death for apostasy FGM, etc.), and the wholesale immigration of Muslims from some of the most backward hellholes the Islamic world has to offer.

”The real reason Kerry peddles this hogwash about Islam being peaceful and full of the milk of human kindness, is to suck up to so-called “moderate” Muslims in the west and be politically correct.”

Another reason is the mohammedan *vote*. It’s a huge part of the reason so many Western politicians kiss mohammedan arse. They will all sell their countries, and the rest of us, down the river, in order to maintain their positions, and *power*.

      • gravenimage says

        Sep 9, 2014 at 2:45 pm

This may be true in many places, Mirren—but in the U.S. Muslims still represent less than 1% of the population.

So, except in just a few enclaves like Dearborn, a couple of neighborhoods in Minneapolis, and parts of northern Virginia, this is not a factor. Certainly, it should have no effect on national politics at all.

So this is a case where “political correctness” outstrips even pandering to a voting bloc.

But, doesn’t al Baghdadi get to plead his case at least, say in a Skype debate with a Imam Kerry, so that if he can prove his actions are not Shirk or Fitna and therefore no distortion of Islam, then shouldn’t Imam Kerry allow al Baghdadi and his followers life and liberty?

So if I accept that everything I do is wrong unless I submit to allah.
If I accept a role model that was disowned by his community, married a much older women to obtain wealth, A role model that inspired his followers to attack others to obtain their land and assets as well as enslave their women and children.
A role model that claimed that those who disagreed with such leanings should be punished.
If I submit to a cult that will tell me what to think, what to say, what to wear ,what to eat and what to believe or face punishment at the behest of a few self elected superiors then I have found peace ?.
So if I can recite the koran by age six am I a genius and not just a brainwashed child robbed of my childhood ?
If I can marry more than one wife has allah just made a mistake or is it his will that there will be no women left for my brothers to marry.
Is allah so much wiser than all others that the female choosing the best to father her offspring does not relate to man and forced marriages are more natural ?.
Does the wild Boar travel as far as need be to find a un- sowed female to ensure in-breeding does not occur because he is stupid and allah is wise ?
Does the lion who may have more than one female in his pride have to risk his life in battle to gain the pride and also battle all suitors to maintain his head of the pride because he is stupid and allah is wise ?.
Are the earthquakes , volcanoes , storms and droughts still caused by man’s sin.
Islam holds as righteous what every thing else in nature signals as wrong.
A seventh century cult invented by narcissists and continued by male chauvinistic narcissists for the purpose of controlling every aspect of every one else’s life so that they the self declared leaders may enjoy the power to satisfy their own delusions of superiority.
It is peaceful as long as I submit and do whatever I am told to do.

Essentially John agrees with you, and thinks if you think Islam is anything other than what he believes it is, then you are guilty of Fitna and deserve to die. He just issued a Fatwa, an extra judicial death sentence against al Baghdadi for “distorting” Islam.

Listen to what Kerry says, the reason why al Baghdadi is to die, is because he is guilty of distorting Islam, without citing a reference to a particular deed versus a particular verse.

I have learnt of a man who said to love and forgive and of another man who said listen to none that come after me.
Billions of people claim both men spoke the true words of a God yet all that can be offered as proof is really just the word of men.
I have had my own priorities in life and for more than forty five years taken not the slightest interest in any religion.
Yet I the self sacrificing atheist have over eight thousand meters of cliff face that show in pretty pictures the past , the present and the future.
As the cogs fall into place I will soon risk my life to reach such place and should I hear the sound of anything other than the birds and bees I alone will have proof to share with the world.
Why do I not share this place now ? because I am pictured in the present and the future and while some may wish to help me , many will seek to kill me.
I am happy being nobody but maybe that is just not who I am really meant to be.
Perhaps I will just fall and die or perhaps I will return home will solutions for many problems either way it is my life I risk only.
Wisdom to help others will be a greater reward than money or adulation and if I can help one other then I will consider myself successful, If I can help billions of others the reward remains the same.
I have a lot to learn and a lot to forget.
So whenever you read something Myxlplik be sure the conclusion is one that you came to and not the conclusion that someone else wanted you you come to.
That’s it for me here at JW and the world will not notice my absence yet should a man who’s name begins with “A” have a gift to share in the future then perhaps the man that called himself cliffface will be remembered.
Keep up your good work Robert and Co but please remember you must remain honest and unbiased lest you yourself will appear cast from the same mould as those you wish to expose.

          Cliffface,

I work with the public, and talk a lot with people on this subject. Most I talk to come to the same conclusions you do, deep introspection about what they have done & the impacts they have had on others.

A lot of people are searching for what it all means, I just think before we go off to pile more bodies up we should think… I read in one blog that women over there out number men 8 to 1.

We were supposed to have gone there to give them the freedom to choose, maybe if we go over there again we can help them get to 16 to 1? If those are the choices then, they certainly don’t need our help with that.

I just don’t think there is much we can do & most certainly associating with the outcome of what is created is becoming more disturbing by the second.

I just want to know, before we are associated with the pilling of one more corpse, exactly how al Baghdadi distorted Islam.

          …………………………..

I’m sure you mean well, cliffface—but the idea that if those who expose the horrors of Islam fail to remain honest and unbiased enough that they are in danger of becoming morally equivalent to those who are beheading journalists, forcing women into sex slavery, and committing genocide is just grotesque.

Now Robert Spencer and Jihad Watch do maintain stellar standards of honesty, which is the main reason I find them so trustworthy.

But “bias”? It depends how you mean this.

If you mean looking at things freely and fairly, I am all for it.

But I *am* “biased” against those who would behead great-grandmothers in their back gardens, against those who would kidnap schoolgirls, and against those who would pose their little children with severed heads.

So, while you search, you might want to guard against falling into the trap of false moral equivalence.

“distortion of one of the world’s great peaceful religions”
Follow the money. I’d like to know who’s paying this guy to keep spouting this nonsense. Nobody can be that stupid. He must know what’s going on in the world and how 90% of the time Islam is involved in the conflicts. He must know that Muslims were involved in 9/11, Boston Marathon and most terrorist attacks. His looped remarks “Religion of peace Religion of peace Religion of peace..” are really beginning to smell very bad! I can no longer believe that the explanation is just that he is ill-informed or that he is stupid. Something is really rotten here!

Methinks he doth protest too much!
Honestly who is he trying to convince with his desperate loop? Does anyone believe him? If it were the case that Islam is a peaceful religion would he or anyone else need to keep saying it? You don’t hear Kerry telling us that the Amish are peaceful or that Mother Teresa’s Order is a peaceful organisation. The only distortions of Islam I hear are the bubbles that come out of this man’s mouth and people like him.

    To John Kerry,

If we are going to be killing people because they, ” distort” religions, shouldn’t we know specifically how they distorted them first?

Excuse me for my logic, but if you are prepared to kill, it should be pretty easy to explain, right? I mean I understand they are bad, but we are killing them because they “distort” religion. Seems like a bad path to follow especially if you can’t explain it.

    :).

By the way Robert, the “one” hand sign Kerry is throwing at al Baghdadi as he issues the Fatwa against ISIL for “distorting” Islam is rich in irony, I’ll probably laugh at that off and on for the rest of my life. lol

  26. Angemon says

    Sep 9, 2014 at 4:57 am

For some it will mean helping to identify, track, and cut off ISIL’s funding, and prevent the flow of foreign fighters.

Wrong. Don’t merely cut off funding, follow the money and make sure to punish ISIS’ financiers where it hurts them the most – their wallet. Let the whole world know who they are so we can engage on BDS against them. And loose up the traveling restrictions so that foreign fighters can leave whatever Western country they’re in and join ISIS, then make sure they can never come back. Open the floodgates and let the snakes slither instead of cornering them in – even a mouse bites if it’s trapped.

For still others it will mean demolishing the distortion of one of the world’s great peaceful religions

Oh, please, still peddling the “peaceful religion” propaganda? Doesn’t the first amendment say “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion”? Why is it that cowardly blue-eyed slave over there being overly partial towards a specific religion? Isn’t that going against the spirit of the first amendment – keep religion and state separated?

In any case, if one of the AISC’s goals is to fight “the distortion of one of the world’s great peaceful religions” then the followers of said religion in all of AISC’s countries will certainly be willing to donate to help support the Coalition’s expenses, right? Or even volunteer to fight for it. Yep, can’t wait to see those units of muslim volunteers paying for their own training and equipment, eager to fight against the ISIS “extremists” who “distort” their religion.

As an earlier comment said through a FDR quote everything politicians do or say is likely to be planned. What is America planning now. Are they planning with Saudi Arabia to take over the whole Middle East? Why did they supply ISIS with arms to fight Assad? Why did America allow ISIS to take over half of Iraq before half heartedly bombing them? I think they are trying to do another FALSE FLAG event to get everybody off their back as the truth about 9/11 comes out. Something big, very big could be about to happen. Chuck Hagel said that ISIS has the ability to blow up an American city. Interestingly there is a Global Security company based in America with the abbreviation I.S.I.S. Let us just hope this is a coincidence. Run for cover.

  48. dumbledoresarmy says

    It ain’t “distortion”.

It’s *revival*; the attempt to get right back to basics, to realign with the central teachings in the core texts, to follow the example of the founder.

What’s going on is an Islamic “revival”.

And Islamic revival tends to produce hordes of flaming-eyed mass-murderers.

Let’s suppose for a moment that he is not a Muslim. Does it really make any difference? I mean, if he had a prayer rug stuffed under his desk in the Oval Office, is there anything he could have done differently to grant greater favor to the vile religion of Mohammed? Whether a Muslim or not, he is the most Mohammedan president we have ever had; his appointments, his distaste for Israel, his lying speeches about Mohammedanism, his bowing and scraping to Mohammedan potentates in the Middle East, everything’s there to make Allah smile. And anyway, if he is a Muslim, you can be sure he is not especially faithful to its texts; he isn’t faithful to much of anything but himself.
