How did the misunderstanding of Islam become so widespread that now misunderstanders of Islam govern a territory the size of a nation? Kerry gave a short press conference this morning where he said that despite ISIS claiming to fight on behalf of Islam, ISIL’s hateful ideology has nothing to do with Islam:

ISIL claims to be fighting on behalf of Islam but the fact is that it’s [sic] hateful ideology has nothing do with Islam. ISIL a manifestation of evil, a vicious terrorist organization and it is an organization that achieves its goals only through violence, repression, and destruction. Fed by illicit funding and a stream of foreign fighters, it has seized territory and terrorized the people who live there regardless of their sect or ethnicity. There is literally no place for their barbarity in the modern world.

    • Exactly. Schollars like Robert Spencer get attacked for not having that kind of background. So what’s Baghdadi’s excuse for his “islamophobic” understanding of islam, and why is it that no one points out that Kerry is the one without any sort of major in Islamic Studies?

    • Kerry, like all of our major politicians, is a Wahhabi mufti in good standing in the global ulama. The only guide for human action is what is or is not a good Muslim.

      In the “Chapter: Condemnation of the one who dies without having gone out for jihaad or having thought of doing so” Imam Al-Nawawi quoted the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever dies without having gone out for jihaad or having thought of doing so, dies on a branch of hypocrisy.’” (Saheeh Muslim, 3533).

      I do have to wonder if UK politicians read them, too. By their stupid “it’s not Islam” comments, it doesn’t appear so.

        • The answer may lie within Parliament itself. A Parliamentarian told me “We have people we can go to” for information about Islam. Presumably these are muslim, maybe imams. Parliamentarians likely do not know, even as we do, that they are authorized to employ deception.

  5. Query: Does Kerry actually believe, I mean really believe, the rubbish he spouts about Islam or does he know deep down inside that he’s talking nonsense? Not sure. I favor the former over the latter but I’m not certain. Anyone?

    • Hombre, I don’t know. I think he’s so insulated, consumed by the trappings & niceties at that level among other heads of state, that he may not truly know what the f*** is going on.

      I’d like to think he is just ignorant. I’d really like to believe he’s just an uneducated jackass.

      Considering his position he ought not to be this ignorant. But here we are.

      If he knows the truth of this matter and is carrying forth so, then he is a traitor to human liberty.

    • I suspect this is part of a party line based on the idiotic notion that to acknowledge Islam as the basic problem will inflame Muslims everywhere and cause more problems than an untruth, however silly and obvious, will.

      The problem I see with this approach is that it inhibits Muslims that might be inclined to agree Islamic teachings are the problem from speaking out, however softly. They foresee no general support and a lot of potential grief.

      • Good point. Not only does the deception undercut any genuine Muslim reformers it encourages people to convert into a faith with countless death penalties represented as peaceful and harmless. Some of these will end up as mujahideen having been originally entrapped by someone thinking that telling untruths about Islam is harmless, even beneficial.

        Or, put another way, John Kerry, Obama, and Cameron, etc., are accessories to future murders.

    • It is extremely difficult to believe why otherwise intelligent people with Internet acces continue to parrot that nonsense–unless they’ve been told to.

      The notion that military, police, and relevant civilivan personnel are unable to learn the truth because references to Islam and jihad have been removed from their government provided training literature falls flat when one realizes that they have access to any info the want on their home computers, at bookstores and libraries, etc.

      That given, I can only surmise that as good public servants they’re simply toeing the party line–in public.

      Assuming I’m correct, what excuses will they offer when their deceit finally becomes common public knowledge?

      • Of course they can learn it as you say. But to apply it in their jobs risks cries of racism, Islamophobia, mandatory sensitivity training (reeducation camp), or termination.

          But, it only takes one knowledgeable member of that group to tell the truth–publicly–to get the ball rolling.

          Though cries of racism and Islamophobia would surely follow, a politician who is not going to run for re-election would not have to worry about the “reeducation camps”.

          I’m not holding my breath, but ultimately one of them needs to step forward.

          I wrote polite letters to Dianne Feinstein and both my previous and current congressmen about the following nonsense (I figured it wouldn’t be worth my time to send one to Boxer). Each of them responded with the typical, gutless “freedom of/respect for religion” bs.

  6. This reminds me of the government looking into the meaning of rock and roll songs in the late 50’s and the 60’s. They wouldn’t take the word of any singer/songwriter or even the average teenager who listened to the songs every day, but decided that certain songs said what the government decided the songs said. (I think they are still working on figuring out “Louie Louie.”) And some parents decided the government was right because it was the government.

    Any lie to get the public to not see the truth or to listen to others who are telling the truth is what is going on now with the “is” is not “is” but is something else, whatever we say “is” is. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. Allow the beast to extend his terroritory.

    The first sentence, like the prior people posting ahve said, shows Kerry’s (either) lack of knowledgel stupidity or being PC, or just sprouting the Obama party line.

    I think he is a stupid, lying, tax cheating (registering his yacht in another state -other then Mass.-to save on state taxes) scumbag. Sort of (in my opinion) in the mold of his idols, the Kennedy’s.

  9. It always amazes me how people in the west who should prioritize protecting us, seem to be experts at what the other side is thinking.

    How does anyone of them know what the ideals of Islam is..

    Were they taught the doctrine as children, to know?

    Islam is a peaceful religion * Only when You and I, and everyone else we know, including out children have been subjugated. *
    There is no room for freedom of thought, dress, speech or activity if it is not in keeping with their guidelines. Let that sink in for a moment.

    I challenge anyone to find me at least one sentence where Islam says let all other religeons flourish in peace. I ask any one of them to show me where Islam says you have the right to reject their doctrine, because yours is just as valid and based on the same truth.

    The point is..Islam in it’s extreme form is murdering men women and children..who are all children of God…
    And Islam in it’s moderate form, will do nothing except sit back, watch it unfold, and say, let the West do something.

    And it doesn’t help when our nice western leaders say …muslims mean no harm..it’s only the extremists ..Well, the west * does not know that Muslim children are taught only they are deserving of a full life.

  16. I remember Kerry saying this year that he was reading about the Muslim religion, so he could understand it. The books he mentioned were politically correct and worthless for real understanding. I also read that one of Kerry’s children wed a Muslim, whose family was in the Middle East, but do not know for sure, if that is true. Wish that could be verified.

  18. If you know how Turkey, which for more than 1000 years the Headquarters of Christianity, became an Islamic State, then you will know what Islam stand for.

  20. Some commentators diagnose Kerry with magical thinking, which is present in children ages 2-7. I think a better diagnosis for all those who still Islam a s a religion of peace, whether Muslims or Muslim apologists, is VERITOPHOBIA, or fear of the truth. If something I suspect is true is so awful, so unimaginably evil, it will cause me great distress, so I pretend it’s not true. Veritophobia is like denial on steroids. In practical terms, politicians use veritophobia towards Islam because they don’t know what to do. If they admit to the reality that Islam is really evil, then what? They don’t know how to handle that. They can’t make policies based on this reality, so better to be veritophobic.

    An important task for honest counter-jihadists and freedom lovers is to do the work of the politicians for them, because they’ll never do it themselves. We need to articulate a series of practical measures that need to be implemented. None will be popular, but we have to start somewhere.

  26. Kerry and Obama think of themselves as high minded diplomats who must rise above the situation to say something diplomatic, even if it is untrue. They hope this wishful thinking will prevent or postpone the rise of an Islamic Caliphate in time for a reformation (or at least until their own time is over).

    An honest assessment of Islam would mean declaring war on 1.2 billion people, which is not very diplomatic, especially since the majority are quite prepared and in fact eager to fight back with ruthless intensity.

    The new strategy against IS is unlikely to succeed since it starts with a huge lie. We can continue to fool ourselves into well-intentioned extinction or summon up the courage to name the enemy.

    When Kerry and others say this stuff they are submitting to the deception of Islam.
