Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Muslim Brotherhood cleric declares his support for the Islamic State

Sep 16, 2014 12:47 pm By Robert Spencer

WagdyGhoneimWagdy Ghoneim, just expelled from Qatar along with other Muslim Brotherhood leaders, used to live in the United States. He served as imam at the Islamic Institute of Orange County, California in the early 2000’s, and raised funds for Hamas-linked Muslim charity KindHearts. How many people are still in the United States today who learned about Islam from Wagdy Ghoneim?

And why doesn’t this Muslim cleric, who has dedicated his life to understanding and teaching the Qur’an and Sunnah, see what Barack Obama and David Cameron and Tony Abbott and so many other non-Muslims see so clearly, that the Islamic State has nothing to do with Islam?

“Video .. Wagdy Ghoneim after being expelled from Qatar announces support for ISIL,” my translation of the Arabic article “بالفيديو.. وجدي غنيم بعد طرده من قطر يُعلن تأييده داعش” by Hassan Bahi, Al-Masry Al-Youm, September 16, 2014 (thanks to Coptic Nationalism):

Islamic preacher Wagdy Ghoneim on Tuesday announced his rejection of the war being organized against the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), and his “support for them, despite differences on some issues,” he said, and asked for “unity in the face of the Crusader alliance against Muslims.”

Ghoneim said, in the first video he recorded and put his on Facebook page after being expelled from Qatar, under the title, “Do not crusade against the Islamic State”: “America is heating up the world against ISIL. The West and America and the Crusaders in general are vengeful against Islam and Muslims, and they desire evil for Islam.”

He added: “Our enemies are Crusaders, their faith is based on bloodshed and murder, and this is evident in their Bible,” accusing the West of fabricating videos depicting the “slaughter of hostages in Iraq at the hands of ISIL.”

He continued: “America is the largest terrorist state, and the West, too. We will not forget what it did to America’s Indians, and the Abu Ghraib prison, Allah is sufficient for me, the most excellent in whom I trust, and yes, America threw the body of the martyr bin Laden into the sea, is that respect for human beings and human rights?”

He explained: “I am with my brothers in ISIL in some matters, but I advise them always to adhere to the Qur’an and Sunnah and to unite against their enemies, and I reject the Crusader alliance to defeat them.”

    AQIM and AQAP are also urging solidarity with the IS in the face of the “Crusader’s” campaign against it.

    From what I can see, the ambivalence and irresolution of the so-called coalition–and its cross-purposes and inner rifts–are a continuing gift to the Islamic State.

      Obama consistently falls for the fiction that worldwide jihad is an anti-terrorist campaign against disparate entities. He just doesn’t get that the Taliban = Al-Qaida = IS = Muslim Brtherhood = HAMAS.

          It wasn’t the West that wrote the Qur’an and Sunna, it was Muhammad and the Muslims, however it was the West that divided the Ottoman Empire up along the Sunni, Shia and Suffi fault lines after WW1. But regardless of any justification for the way the Middle East was divided, its was ruled by Islam at the time, and it would do us well to remember that the Middle East was Judeo-Christian for thousands of years before Muhammad and his Anti-Christ religion was raised by Satin.

    Opposition to an organization that IS the Brotherhood would be an impossibility to conceive. Qatar’s Taqiyya expulsion of these Islamic State Operatives IS nothing more than a reassignment; to properly spread the Jihad/Genocide; the plausible deniability of an “independently” attached “cleric of jihad” to ISIS/L or Al’Whatever, offers up some irreversible momentum to an already catastrophic “racial-religious hygiene” war of attrition and mass homicide.

    Of course he supports it. Just like al Qaeda, al Shabab, Boko Haram, Hamas etc., ISIL is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood…who BTW are still running the W.H.

    Aww, poor wittle innocent ISIS barbarians, being targeted just because they are acting upon quranic imperatives!

    He added: “Our enemies are Crusaders, their faith is based on bloodshed and murder, and this is evident in their Bible,”

    Really? Where exactly?

    accusing the West of fabricating videos depicting the “slaughter of hostages in Iraq at the hands of ISIL.”

    Muslims and their conspiracy theories… I don’t suppose he gives a theological basis to why ISIS members would never slaughter muslims deemed hypocrites, does he?

    He continued: “America is the largest terrorist state, and the West, too.

    America attacks military targets from an organization that threatned it and killed its citizens, muslims call it “terrorism”. Muslims use suicide bombs against civilians, muslims call it “being a devout muslim”.

    We will not forget what it did to America’s Indians

    You mean, the same “Indians” who nowaday have he same rights as any given american citizen, regardless of ethnicity, religion or political stance? Was it better or worse than what happened to the Armenian Christians? Or what the ISIS he supports is doing to non-muslims?

    and the Abu Ghraib prison, Allah is sufficient for me, the most excellent in whom I trust, and yes, America threw the body of the martyr bin Laden into the sea, is that respect for human beings and human rights?”

    I agree – he should have been embalmed and paraded all over the US.

    Before Abu Baghdadi was mentioned in the news as head of ISIS, I think Daniel Pipes gave a breakdown of three groups, how one group worked with another group to fight the third group.

    Group 1 – Turkey, Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, Qatar & Tunisia

    Group 2 – Iran, Hezbollah, Iraq

    Both of them target Group 3

    Israel, Egypt, KSA, Jordan, UAE, Bahrain & Kuwait.

    It looks like the only change is to move Jordan from Group 3 to Group 1.

Sure hope such a meeting happens soon. Only bigoted Islamophobes would desire otherwise.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Oh, so he considers ISIL his “brothers” aka fellow muslims, eh? Of course they are muslims! This is so basic an understanding about the connection between ISIL and islam, but why does this basic knowledge escape obama’s attention? Could it be that obama is a taqiyya artist himself? Methinks so! I think obama is and, has always been, a muslim incognito.
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      Does he desperately need to read the unholy quran? Nah!

      He’s projecting islam’s chief aim onto Christianity, BIG time …

      And what he really needs to read is one of Robert Spencer’s books:

      “Religion of Peace?: Why Christianity Is And Islam Isn’t”

    …………………………………

    Talk about projection! ISIS invades and immediately starts genocide of non-Muslims and lining the streets of Mosul with severed heads.

    More:

    accusing the West of fabricating videos depicting the “slaughter of hostages in Iraq at the hands of ISIL.”
    …………………………………

    Grimly laughable. In fact, he is fine with murder in the name of his foul creed.

    Here’s Wagdy Ghoneim calling for the murder of liberals and secularists as apostates:

    http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2942644/posts

    He has infamously called for the genocide of the Copts.

    On a lighter note, here he is frothing at the mouth at those who might linger in the powder room:

    “Wagdy Ghoneim Says Toilet Is ‘House of Satan'”

    http://www.globalmbwatch.com/2010/11/09/wagdy-ghoneim-says-toilet-is-house-of-satan/

    So, he’s fine with mass murder—but reading on the john? Now *that* he considers ‘evil’. Good grief…

    And he actually uses the phrase “God help us” in this article. Is this about the savagery of Islam? Of course not—it’s about people who take big scoops of rice, something we would consider no worse than a minor breach of etiquette.

    Good to know pious Muslims have their moral priorities straight…sarc/off

      ”So, he’s fine with mass murder—but reading on the john? Now *that* he considers ‘evil’. Good grief…”

      These people are utterly unbelievable.

      ”When you drink, don’t breathe into the glass. When I drink, I breathe three times. I breathe outside. I don’t blow missiles into the glass. You should breathe outside the glass.”

      Even in the mind of a demented mohammedan, what exactly constitutes ‘blowing **missiles** into the glass’ ?? These people are so screwed up.

      • gravenimage says

        Sep 17, 2014 at 11:43 pm

        Hi Mirren. I’m not sure what “breathing missiles” is either, but my guess is that it means breathing into a communal drinking glass. At worst, a bit inconsiderate. And it is certainly unsanitary—but then, using a communal drinking glass is intrinsically unsanitary.

        But this is Islamic “morality”—where entering the restroom leading with your right foot is a great sin, but raping grade-school girls, slaughtering religious minorities, and filming your little boy playing with a severed head and uploading it to YouTube is praiseworthy. *Ugh*.

        Apart from reading this vicious idiocy, I hope you’re doing well.

    I hope he is not in the US now and not allowed to be. There is one misconception people have when they talk about the violence of the Bible. The Old Testament is about the fall and sin of mankind. The New Testament is about grace and forgiveness and love as evidenced by Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross. We pray these Muslims come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. I know many are. Then they will understand and experience God’s forgiveness, grace and love. God loves them now and longs for them to be saved.

    I put that in my own limited understanding of God’s Word, which I believe to be truth.
