Heh. Ben Rhodes is Obama’s deputy national security adviser. And it is good of him to admit the obvious, that the Obama Administration is ready to take action against counter-terrorism. And it already has:Obama Administration Bans the Truth About Islam and Jihad
“US may target IS bases in Syria,” Independent.ie, August 23, 2014:
Mr R hodes [sic] said the US was “actively considering what’s going to be necessary to deal with that threat”.
“We’ve shown time and again that if there’s a counter-terrorism threat, we’ll take direct action against that threat, if necessary.”

“We’ve shown time and time again that there is a counter-terrorism threat” and they will address the threat without mentioning the words or religious references which Obama and his Muslim Brotherhood friends have scrubbed from their collective lexicon.
Robert, you may find this interesting!

In the threat assessment compiled by the British government, foreign jihadists in Syria have little religious knowledge….

From this piece: “Many prominent Republicans and some Democrats have called on Mr Obama to hit back harder at the Islamic State militants.
Senator Marco Rubio, a prospective 2016 presidential candidate, said that attacking their supply lines, command and control centres and economic assets inside Syria “is at the crux of the decision” for Mr Obama…..”
I find the confusion over the ISIS threat among politicians, pundits, military experts, etc., incredible. I just watched Patrick Buchanan (a guy I rarely agree with) on Cavuto, talking sense. Buchanan suggests Assad as brutal as he is, is not a threat to the United States. Assad’s troops on the ground backed by American air-power will decimate ISIS. Buchanan suggest ‘working with’ Assad which goes against the thinking of virtually every politician including Barack Obama, Marco Rubio, John McCain. Libya is in chaos. So is “democratized” Iraq but we’ve learned nothing. Last night Fox News had a military expert who suggests the U.S. must destroy ISIS in tandem with the destruction of Assad’s forces lest we lose face in the Sunni world. Imagine, the U.S. incurring a loss of face in the Sunni Muslim world.

Love your last line:
” Imagine, the U.S. incurring a loss of face in the Sunni Muslim world.”
Good one.

Yes, the lesser of two evils. Assad has not tried to attack nor threaten the US directly. Additionally Fox News made a point about Iran helping the Kurds and used the saying: the enemy of my enemy is…but they were also talking about “radical IS LAM” they are all appologists for so called “moderate muslims”. That is a group of people politicians and the media talk about alot but you never actually hear from.

Disgraceful:
“America’s Kurdish partner pleads for heavier arms against ISIS militants
Reuters
“A TOP KURDISH REPRESENTATIVE to the US claims that the Obama administration is not doing enough to supply vital weapons to Kurdish security forces in their fight against Islamic State militants — amid signs that other nations may be eclipsing the US in support.

Ben Rhodes probably ends his day by praying that God will intervene personally in his life, by putting him into a job he would much prefer — like vacuuming out the contents of construction site toilets, or doing the prep for patients about to undergo nail fungus treatment.
BTW, if you want a laugh in these extremely grim days, watch his “vanishing-hair / baldness imminent” episodes. He drops several thousand of those precious strands each time he makes an embarrassing press statement.

Looks like we are officially declaring war on anyone who reads the Quran, and Hadith, then takes what they read seriously as a pious Muslim.

I think this would give our government the legal authority to bomb CAIR and all of its affiliates and organizations.
