Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Obama: We will defeat the Islamic State like we did al-Qaeda

Sep 5, 2014 5:05 pm By Robert Spencer

president-obamaThe defeated al-Qaeda just announced the opening of a new branch in India. “Obama: We will defeat ISIS like we did al-Qaeda,” AFP, September 5, 2014:

US President Barack Obama said Friday he was confident he could gather a broad international coalition to defeat Islamic State extremists in Iraq and Syria, following two days of talks at the NATO summit.

“I leave here confident that NATO allies and partners are prepared to join in a broad, international coalition,” Obama said after a meeting of the Western military alliance in Wales. “We’re going to degrade and ultimately defeat ISIL (IS’s previous name) the same way we’ve gone after al-Qaeda,” he said.

Following the beheading of two US journalists by the Islamic State, which has overrun swaths of northern Iraq and Syria, Obama said there was “unanimity” among NATO members that the group “poses a significant threat”.

Obama cautioned that “it’s not going to happen overnight”, but “we’re going to achieve our goal.

US Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to the Middle East to seek support of regional powers, Obama said, insisting that Arab involvement was “absolutely critical”.

The president added: “Our hope is the Iraqi government is actually formed and finalised next week. That, then, allows us to work with them on a broader strategy.”

Kerry on Friday co-chaired with Britain a meeting of ministers from Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Turkey in a bid to win support for the fight against IS.

IS caught the world by surprise when it made huge territorial gains and declared an Islamic “caliphate” in an area straddling Iraq and Syria countries.

The US has conducted more than 100 airstrikes in northern Iraq in recent weeks, allowing Kurdish and Iraqi forces to regain ground lost to the jihadists.

Other countries have provided humanitarian assistance and intelligence, while Germany and France are providing military equipment to Kurdish fighters battling IS in northern Iraq.

Kerry stressed Friday that there would be “no boots on the ground” in the US strategy against IS, but added that “there are many ways in which we can train, advise, assist, and equip”.

He urged allies to consider how they could contribute so the US could have a plan at the UN General Assembly meeting later this month.

European allies, while supportive of the US initiative, are proceeding with caution.

Britain has left the door open to air strikes in Iraq, but Prime Minister David Cameron played down the prospect of any immediate action….

No, al qaeda and ISIL are One in the same.

ISIL is simply repacked/recycled al qaeda, but with black flags–instead of green ones–and ISIL are more islamic: they are more *devout* followers of piss-prophet muhammad and islam.

ISIL is islam in it’s truest form.

That Pres. Obama is a ‘paper tiger’ should be obvious. He is in the real world and he is ‘playing with matches’
    – my personal opinion is that ‘Amerika’ is going to get very seriously burned!

The immediate thought came to mind when I read this article – the followers of the false moon-god ‘Allah’ and his satanic lying prophet ‘Mohammed’ ARE NOT stupid –

    – The leader of IS (formerly ISIS / ISIL) has an earned PhD
    – AND how much cooperation is there amongst the many terror groups?
    – AND then there is the possibility of their cooperation with drug cartels?

    – They seem to have no lack of funds – being supported by several nations, and the ‘acquisition’ of large amounts of money from banks in Iraq

    – Indonesian Airlines flight 370 is STILL missing

    – There are 11 airliners missing from Tripoli, Libya International Airport

    – And then add the possibility of ‘mini-subs’ to this satanic ‘witches brew’.
Expert: Hamas May Copy Drug Cartels, Use Submarines to Smuggle Weapons to Gaza – or other ‘destinations’ (like ‘Amerika’)
    The Algemeiner | SEPTEMBER 4, 2014 2:51 PM

    – They have hacked a US Military Headquarters website – and let everyone know that it is deliberate
    – have ‘Anonymous’ and IS ‘teamed up’?

    – Many of the Leaders and followers of Mohammedenism have performed mass acts so evil and vile that it would have been unthinkable only a few months ago – seeking to strike terror into the hearts and minds of anyone that dares to stand against their satanic beliefs.

When do those troops leave Afghanistan, Obama? End of the year, isn’t it? So what do you think is going to happen there? With Al Queda, I mean. And the Taliban? These raging Islamic supremacist manaics — what are they going to do as soon as they get a chance?

Al Queda’s been squawking a lot recently, revealing they’ve got a bad case of ISIS ENVY, the new inferiority complex making the rounds of Islamic supremacist forces all over the globe. They’ve got something to prove. And they’re going to prove it. On your watch.

Obama’s going to go out with two years of total international disaster. The momentum has built to a level that can’t be stopped thanks to his feckless, fantasy-based foreign policies. Things are just ramping up — all those raging wars in Lybia, and other places in Africa, Syria, Iraq — now it’s time for Afghanistan to implode.

Defeat Al Queda? They’ve just retreated until they get a chance to rise again. Run and hide, then go on a rampage when conditions improve. That’s the strategy. Anybody who knows anything about Islam knows that.

    Al Queda defeated indeed.

It is ABSURD to fight Al Qaeda without understanding their doctrines.

Obama has no understanding of the doctrines of ABROGATION, JIHAD or the KAFIR.

He thus has no understanding of Al Qaeda or Political Islam 101. Without defeating the DOCTRINES of Islam, there is no defeating JIHADISTS. They will CONTINUE to be informed by Islam’s foundational DOCTRINES!

It’s time to fight political Islam IDEOLOGICALLY and with psy-ops.

Isis is Al Qaeda renamed; rebranded and a repackaged psy-op

    Jerome Buckleigh / August 21, 2014
    Sam Jones | Financial Times | 20 Aug 2014

It is just over 10 years since Nicholas Berg, an American businessman working in Iraq, was brutally decapitated on video by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the thuggish leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq.

With the murder of the American journalist, James Foley, on Tuesday, the US and its Western allies were vividly reminded of the worst excesses of the Iraqi insurgency in the wake of the 2003 invasion.

But it is not just in the manner of its bloodlust that the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isis) and AQI share a gruesome symmetry.

The two organisations also share a lineage. The threadbare remnants of AQI – all but crushed by the US troop surge in Iraq of 2007 and the “sons of Iraq” movement to turn Sunni tribes against the jihadis – morphed into the earliest version of Isis.

But more importantly, Isis is also the operational, strategic and ideological twin of its predecessor.

Al Qaeda on the run! Islamic militants are a threat all over the Middle East and in Africa. They are a threat in Europe and on the Indian Subcontinent. The coverup of Benghazi was really to hide how bold the Jihadists were becoming. Instead of sneak attacks with bombs, it was full frontal assault with mortars.

So, is the USA now best of buds with Syria and Iran?

Not that I wish to be an ISIS apologist (far from it!), but it wasn’t that long ago that we were all for backing the Free Syrian Army, an outfit that sprang from the Ikhwan and Qaida sympathizers in Syria, and now fights alongside ISIS. And as for the NATO allies, wasn’t Turkey a big backer of the Syrian rebels?

It seems to me we’re preparing to go into this crisis with a divided mind, unsure of who our enemies are or who our friends are, and with doubtlessly a pile of rules of engagement that will prevent our troops from truly fighting. This will be a recipe for disaster.

The civilised world should hope that Obama, the career liar, is indeed lying this time.

If he is speaking the truth, under his guidance and cooperation the Islamic State will grow into a greater and more ferocious beast than ever, just like AQ did after he finished ‘going after’ it.

At least 18 foreign ISIS fighters including Americans and Europeans were killed Thursday, Sept. 4, in a Syrian air raid of the Al Qaeda-ISIS’ northern Syrian headquarters in the Gharbiya district of Raqqa. The raid caught a number of high Al Qaeda commanders and a large group of foreign adherents assembled at the facilty.
A second group of high ISIS officers were killed or injured in another Syrian air raid over their base in Abu Kamal near the Iraqi border.
debkafile’s military and intelligence sources report that top men of the Islamist terrorist group were holding meetings at both places Thursday to coordinate IS strike plans in Syria and Iraq. For Syria, these plans center on the Deir a-Zor and Al Qaim areas, while in Iraq, they focus on targets in the east and center of the country.
The twin Syrian air offensive coincided with the opening of the two-day NATO Summit outside the Welsh town of Newport .
The information about the two Al Qaeda meetings at Raqqa and Abu Kamal could have come from only two sources: US surveillance satellites and aircraft or Iranian agents embedded at strategic points across Syria.
Syria does not have the necessary intelligence capabilities for digging out this kind of information. Nor does its air force normally exhibit the surgical precision displayed in the two strikes on Al Qaeda bases.
It is therefore more than likely that they owed their success to the widening military and intelligence cooperation between the United State and Iran in Iraq and Syria.
President Barack Obama will have taken his seat at the NATO summit to discuss ways of fighting ISIS after word of the successful Syrian strikes was already in his pocket. While they must be credited to top-quality US aerial surveillance over Syria and Iraq, they were undoubtedly made possible by the Obama administration’s deepening military and intelligence ties with Iran.

@1:52 Obama says he is “going after” ISIS like he went after al Qaeda — he funded al Qaeda, and urged the nation to support them in Syria last year.

Then @2:00 in, he says “you” do this, or “you” do that. He is not going to destroy ISIS; all the signs are there. @2:40 he says he will not involve Syria in his strategy.

Any other politician would be exploiting the living day lights out of this situation, but not Obama. He acts like he’s about to have root canal.

I feel for our fighting men, and the innocent victims of work place violence, and man made disasters.

An oracular Freudian Slip if there ever was one.

For how was Zarqawi and al-Qaida in Iraq degraded and ultimately defeated? By surging our forces in Iraq. In other words, without massive numbers of US ground troops in Iraq the degrading and defeating of Baghdadi (Zarqawi’s successor) and ISIS (the new al-Qaida in Iraq) won’t happen.

Barack Obama continues with his ruse, obfuscation and deception. The man cannot utter the words…Islamic Fundamentalism. Mr. President, that is the enemy. Alkaida, Bokoharam, Isis, Hamas, Hezbulla and all these groups posess the same ideology. They emanate from the texts of the Koran and Sunas. But Barack tries to deceive the public by using their specific name only and isolating and insulating Islam from all these groups. It’s intentional and deceptive. And…. not fitting for the leader of America and the free world.

Inasmuch as al-Qaeda is still very much active, recruiting, and even expending into India, it is hardly wise for Obama to claim he will do to ISIS what he did to al-Qaeda—which was not much.
