Bilal Philips has gained controversy for advocating death for homosexuals. According to the National Post, he also “defends child marriages, wife beating, polygamy and killing apostates.”

What will Bilal Philips do once back in Canada? More of the same.
“Philippines deports Canadian Islamist,” SAPA, September 14, 2014 (thanks to Maxwell):
Manila – A Canadian Islamic preacher detained for being a security threat in the Philippines was flown back to Canada after agreeing to be deported, the immigration bureau said Sunday.
Jamaican-born Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips was returned to Canada late Saturday after being detained last weekend in the southern Philippines while on a lecture tour.
This came after immigration commissioners approved his request for voluntary deportation, effectively cutting short the deportation proceedings, the bureau said in a statement.
“He was charged for being an undesirable foreign national and for being inadmissible at the time of entry,” the bureau said, explaining Philips’ detention.
The bureau earlier said he was blacklisted based on information that he might conduct activities that were a threat to national security.
Police said Philips may have ties to extremist groups as they prevented him from holding a series of lectures in the south where the Philippine’s restive Muslim minority is based.
In a post on his Facebook page dated September 14, Philips said: “Rejection can be utterly disappointing but we must never forget that every closed door is a redirection to what is better for us”.
Philips also acknowledged that he was blacklisted in the United States, Britain, Australia and Kenya, but said this was based partly on statements that were taken out of context.
He was the second Islamic convert preacher to be detained by the Philippines since July, when it arrested and later deported Robert Edward Cerantonio to Australia.
Police said Cerantonio had used the Internet to urge people to join “jihad” in Iraq and Syria, though they said they had no evidence to show he had managed to recruit any Filipinos.
Two southern Philippines-based Muslim guerrilla groups, the Abu Sayyaf and the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, have uploaded videos on the Internet pledging alliance to the Islamic State militants who have overrun large swathes of the two Middle Eastern countries.

This man will be welcomed into New Zealand. We had him here several years ago taking 2-week long “Youth Camps” and preaching about the country. When the Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand was challenged on his credentials they were shocked, shocked! They had NO IDEA that he was a hate preacher. The poor dears were quite embarassed, moderates that they are.
AFAIK our government has made no statements and made no attempts to Black List him. So come on over Bilal! We love ya!

What do you mean by “hate preacher”?
Islam is a hate cult… defined by hatred of non-Muslims, so by definition all Islamic clerics are “hate preachers.”
Michael Copeland says
If it didn’t so state
In the Great Book of Hate
It wouldn’t be there to preach.
Angemon says
Why would anyone be surprised that an islamic preacher supports that? Those are standard islamic practices.

“Those are standard islamic practices.”

Much of the world, just waking up to the beliefs of Islam based in the core texts, is going to be awfully surprised to learn it only gets worse.
Jay Boo says
Why did he go to the Philippines?
My guess is that during the time while he lived in Saudi Arabia his Saudi employer provided him a Philippine ‘maid’
Most Muslim men are clearly closet homosexuals and will probably succumb to aids if they indulge in their repressed desires anyway.
Whenever any preacher protests too loudly against a vice or behavior, you can bet the wish to do it themselves.

……………………………..
He was on a “lecture tour” in the southern Philippines—where that nation’s “restive” Muslim population is.
I imagine it is the obvious—he was preaching the waging of violent Jihad; first in the Philippines, then against all Infidels.
Jay Boo says
The liberal Daily Show and Colbert Report would likely be ready to mock him if they thought he was a Christian.
Since he is a Muslim the Philippine authorities will be the ones on their PC target list of mockery
john spielman says
why not have Nanc Pelosi invite him to live in San Fransciso to show how understanding and non judgMENTAL demoRATS are?
Jade says
Statements “taken out of context”. You gotta love it. Calling him a Muslim undesirable is redundant. They all are.
Mirren10 says
Canada should have just turned around and said, no, we don’t want him.
I wonder what would have happened then ?

Canada should strip him of his citizenship, Mirren. They have ample proof to show that he lied in the oath he took.
BW022 says
Canada can’t strip people of their citizenship — unless it was obtained fraudulently. Philips obtained his citizenship as a child and thus never obtained it fraudulently.
Canada has introduced a law which permitted Canada to strip citizenship of Canadians with dual citizenships, who are convicted in Canada or overseas of terrorism offenses. This has not yet passed, nor is it likely to be effective most dual citizens could simply renounce their other citizenship in order to avoid this. This won’t apply to Bilal Philips as he was not arrested or convicted of any actual terrorism charges nor does he likely still have his Jamaican citizenship.
He converted to Islam in 1972. This is Canada’s problem. RCMP and CSIS will have to waste tax-payers dollars watching him or tying him to terrorism through actual investigations.
jewdog says
The specifics of his political agenda may be antediluvian, but as long as he doesn’t endorse Stephan Harper and his Conservatives, he can count on liberal support in Canada.

………………………………………
This shows the threat of Western “reverts”—as well as, in Philips’ case, the insanity of granting citizenship to Mohammedans.
And why doesn’t they give Cerantonio’s Muslim name, Musa?

How many TERRORISTS does Canada need as immigrants?

Out of context? I think calling for the death of homosexuals and defending child marriages, wife beating, polygamy and the killing of apostates to Islam, is a pretty damn clear statement. Nothing to take out of context there.
