Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Qatar: A backer of international jihad terror from Nigeria to Gaza to Syria and Iraq

Sep 29, 2014 9:55 am By Robert Spencer

qatar_awareness_campaign_logoTo the American Public:

In light of the wars and violent turbulence that currently engulf the Middle East and parts of Africa, a coalition of concerned citizens, journalists, and activists are launching a campaign to expose a most infamous and pernicious sponsor of Islamic terror: the Gulf state of Qatar.

Qatar, (pronounced “cutter,” or “gutter”), is, per capita, the richest country in the world ($93,352 in 2013).  This is partly due to the fact that they control the third largest natural gas reserves in the world, the North Dome field in the Persian Gulf.  It is also because Qatar has a mere 278,000 citizens, with a total population of 2.05 million; the remaining people in Qatar are a mix of well-paid ex-pats from countries such as the United States and Great Britain, and a substantial slave labor population.

A backer of international terror from Nigeria to Gaza to Syria and Iraq, the Qatari ruling family, the al-Thanis, exploit Islamic jihadi groups and their ties to illicit smuggling.

What is being smuggled?  Mostly narcotics and people – slaves.

Unfortunately, the United States is integrated into the Qatari “economy” as much as any other developed nation.  Doha, Qatar’s capital, is home to two of the largest American military bases in the entire world, as well as familiar companies like ExxonMobil, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin.  Doha also hosts a number of campuses for prestigious American universities, such as Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon, and Cornell.  Other companies and organizations, ranging from the film production company Miramax to financial behemoths like Bank of America, have accepted significant amounts of investment by the al-Thanis.

Hamas, a Qatari client, launched a war against Israel this summer.  There is an ongoing genocide across Iraq and Syria, with mass graves and grisly beheadings of Christians and Shiite Muslims.  Boko Haram continues to rampage across Nigeria, threatening the political stability of Africa’s largest economy and population.  Qatari fingerprints are on each of these crises.

Over the course of the next month, companies, organizations, and individuals with significant investments and activities with and in Qatar will be identified and contacted with the reality of their host country.  These letters, once published, will be sent to press outlets around the world.

We call on the parties identified in this campaign to review the evidence, which is all credibly sourced and vetted.  In light of the terror, slavery, genocide, and narcotics trafficking, we urge the parties to demand that Qatar immediately cease any and all involvement in these activities.

Sincerely,

Robert Spencer

Robert, as usual you and Pamela have the guts to stand up to the power of oil money.

Unfortunately, Qatar has money to buy the silence or even the cooperation of just about anyone as we recently saw during the conflict in Gaza. Based on his words and actions, it looked like Obama is already in their pocket.

Not wishing to get into a fight over global warming and assuming that there was no concern regarding that at all, it is reason enough to discontinue our reliance on fossil fuels that the Gulf States will then return to the barren wastelands they once were. They can then worship their moon god and toast him with camel piss free of our interference.

Realistically, for several decades at least, it makes more sense to free up domestic petroleum, gas, and refining to undercut the oil sheiks. Alternatives will not, and at present cannot, form the basis of a reliable power grid. Alternatives are only economically viable with massive government subsidies. Wind power relies on wind, solar daytime and good weather. Every grid needs coal, gas, oil, or nuclear to produce reliable power 24-7-365.

As electric cars run off the grid, ultimately the only alternatives debate which matters is what powers the grid. Not that gasoline or gasoline hybrid cars are going away any time soon either. Pure electrics are fine for short range city commuting where there are sufficient charging stations, and nowhere else.

Looking at the European nations racing to expensive unreliable power, we are not where you think we are in terms of alternatives yet, especially with the recent technological leaps in petroleum. Cost matters.

Oh, and the globe quit warming 17 years ago. Dang it, I tried.

People always seem to think that a country finding more and exploiting more of its own oil will somehow undermine or undercut the Islamic monsters of the Middle East. The oil market doesn’t work that way. The United States production of oil is sold on the world market. Prices are determined on the world market. Ask the people in modern oil-exporting countires like Canada or Norway other free countries of the modern world how much gas is in their countries. Sure, taxes form a large part of it, but the base cost of a gallon of gas (oil) is pretty much the same everywhere unless it’s government subsidized or it is never traded on and/or priced with the global market. If you think somehow that will ever happen in America, I have a bridge to sell you.

What you say is true, Don, and so perhaps it is time to consider no longer trading American oil on the world market (while at the same time considerably increasing production, though this won’t happen under Obama). I realize this would entail much change but sometimes much change is necessary. I’d appreciate your thoughts about this.

That would mean that American oil companies would have to adopt a two-tier market to their oil. How enthusiastic do think they’d be about pouring a bunch of money into expanding their low-price “America only” oil operations, rather than working on expanding their high-price “World Market” oil operations? Hard to imagine them having a business case that makes sense to pursue the former over the latter.

And imagine a government that imposes a blockade on foreign oil, or only accepts oil from civilized countries to force the oil corporations hands? The amount of political lobbying dollars would make that impossible to ever come about in either case. Can you imagine the shouting and screaming about “Socialism”? And even IF the latter would happen, the civilized countries aren’t going to give the US a big discount oil — it would mean a complete change of their structures and big loss in revenue for their economies.

Any way you try and figure it, it’s just is not going to happen. In fact the talk of off-setting and degrading the power and money of the oil sheiks with calls for “drill, baby, drill” in America are as artificial and fake as claiming that ISIS is not Islamic! It might drop the price of oil a bit, but that’s about the only result possible.

Thanks for your reply. Well, you paint a bleak picture, Don. I wonder if the incentive for American companies to sell only domestically, with less profit as you pointed out, would be considerable additional tax breaks or something along these lines. Just wondering.

Also, what about drilling for so much oil here in America, asssuming a great deal more can be found and drilled (and possible new fields seems to keep opening up with each passing decade), that it would have the effect, even though sold on the world market, of reducing oil prices overall? Don’t know.

Please forgive me in advance, but as I understand markets, supply and demand, etc… you are saying that increased production of oil within US borders, will or willnot allow substituting US oil for terrorist oil? What would prevent the substitution? If US produced oil is substituted for terrorist oil, wouldn’t that mean less $ in the hands of the arabs? Isn’t that the goal? Thank you don in advance for your reply.

Qatar is the ultimate example of how horribly entwined American corporations, the military industrial complex, and even American academia have become with the jihad-financing monsters in the Middle East.

One would think, with all being laid bare about Qatar’s jihad financing, slavery, narcotics, and no doubt all the other atrocities and evil enshrined in the Koran and Hadiths, that these entities would remove themselves. That is if they had any morals or ethics. They will not because they clearly do not.

These American corporations must be shamed in the public square, with massive public pressure (mostly financial) placed upon them before they will act in an ethical manner.

You are up against billions of dollars in evil blood money by dragging Qatar out of the closet! I wish you all the luck.

That image is FANTASTIC T-shirt material, by the way.

Qatar, in a classic “keep your enemy closer” move, has given the U.S. bases in the country (Centcom’s forward headquarters and a combined air operations center), thereby limiting the U.S.’s ability to deal effectively with its duplicity (assuming, of course, the U.S. government is even capable of discerning that).

Last week, I watched Christiane Amanpour’s interview with the new Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, who defended his country against allegations of funding terrorism.

He seemed such a decent chap! Not even a zebiyah on his forehead! Western garb too and no beard like Mo’s one.

Taqiyya at its best, it would seem!

One key component to Qatar’s gutter policies is the Terror High Command of the Al’ Ikhwan Al’ Moslimeen or the Moslem Brotherhood, they are headquartered in Doha as the Emirate of Egypt, irrespective of the stateless nomadic state they represent fund and control, the Obama Administration has become a Vassar State of Qatar/Gutter; this automatically makes the U.S. Military a “Proxy” Janissary of the “Islamic Stateless State” ISIS/IL/HAMAS/FATAH/AL’WHATEVER according to regional languages and the cultures they intend to destroy. The current attacks on the Sovereign State of Syria; Poland in 1939 and the “atrocities” without proof campaign of the N.S.D.A.P., an ongoing Genocide ignored/supported by the Obama Administration has made the United States a Stateless Vilayet (Province) off the gutter of Qatar’s flood of mass murdering Jihadiism.

AND A SUBSTANTIAL SLAVE LABOR POPULATION??? Slave labor? Didn’t we in the U.S. go through a long and bloody civil war about 150 years ago to abolish slavery within our borders? Why are we ignoring or tolerating, (or even supporting) the existence of slavery in other countries today? Have all these ex-pats converted to Islam or are they all a bunch of dhimmis? And there are only 278,000 actual Quataris out of a total population of 2.05 million? 278,000? Think about this …….. And think about this ….. whether spoken by George Bernard Shaw or Robert Kennedy or even Satan himself …. “Some men see things as they are and ask why? Others dream things that never were and ask why not.” Maybe it’s time for us to become dreamers again.

What is the difference between Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Saudi exports more Wahhabism (and less money and arms) than others like Qatar and UAE?

Saudi Arabia has American military bases as well.

Jeez, yes. They’re playing both ends off against the middle.

    1. Make sure the terrorists are far enough away to not be a threat to you.

    2. Have a pretty effective and repressive internal security apparatus to make sure those terrorists don’t come into your own country.

    3. Fund the terrorists just enough to keep them active, but not truly powerful.

    4. Make sure as a condition of that funding the terrorists attack nations that have bases or basing agreements with your country, and raise hell in general outside and away from your borders.

    5. Raise the hue and cry about all the oil flowing through your country being threatened by the actions of said terrorist group.

    6. Charge your Western allies, who nod and step militarily at your beck and call, top dollar for using your ready-made bases for their military to attack the terror group you created.

Just make sure (3) costs you less than what you’ll make in (6) and you’re home free.
