Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

State Department disagrees with Netanyahu’s contention that jihadis aim to “dominate the world”

Sep 30, 2014 1:35 pm By Robert Spencer

netanyahuUNTo mention just a few of many available examples, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad once said: “Have no doubt… Allah willing, Islam will conquer what? It will conquer all the mountain tops of the world.” Sheik Ali Al-Faqir, former Jordanian minister of religious endowment, said this on Al-Aqsa TV on May 2, 2008: “We proclaim that we will conquer Rome, like Constantinople was conquered once…” Hamas MP and Islamic cleric Yunis Al-Astal said this, also on Al-Aqsa TV, on April 11, 2008: “Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was, as was prophesized by our Prophet Muhammad.” Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the most prominent and renowned imam in the world, in writing about “signs of the victory of Islam,” said: “Islam will return to Europe as a conqueror and victor.”

I guess the State Department thinks they were all just kidding.

“Netanyahu: Militant Islam Aims to ‘Dominate World;’ State Dept.: ‘No’ It Doesn’t,” by Patrick Goodenough, CNS News, September 30, 2014:

(CNSNews.com) – The Obama administration does not share Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s view that the forces of militant Islam, whether Sunni or Shi’ite, have in common an ultimate goal “to dominate the world,” a State Department spokeswoman said Monday.

In a hard-hitting speech at the United Nations, the Israeli leader said that entities such as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS/ISIL), Hamas, the Iranian regime, Hezbollah, al-Qaeda and Boko Haram share that eventual goal.

Jen Psaki was asked at the State Department daily briefing later whether the administration agreed with Netanyahu’s argument that those various groups “are all part of the same kind of militant Muslim – Islamic attempt to rule the world.”

“We would not agree with that characterization, no,” she replied.

Asked about Netanyahu’s specific correlation of ISIS and Hamas, Psaki said that while both were U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organizations, ISIS “poses a different threat to Western interests and to the United States. And that’s just a fact.”

“We don’t believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu or anyone else from Israel is suggesting that the United States launch a military campaign against Hamas, so we certainly – they are both designated terrorist organizations under the United States designations, but certainly we see differences in terms of the threat and otherwise.”

In his speech, Netanyahu said, “You know the famous American saying, ‘All politics is local.’ For the militant Islamists, ‘All politics is global.’ Because their ultimate goal is to dominate the world.”

He said many of the countries supporting the effort against ISIS now, opposed Israel for confronting Hamas just weeks ago.

“They evidently don’t understand that ISIS and Hamas are branches of the same poisonous tree,” he said. “ISIS and Hamas share a fanatical creed, which they both seek to impose well beyond the territory under their control.”

Beyond Hamas’ immediate goal to destroy Israel, as laid out in its charter, Netanyahu said, it’s [sic] broader objective was also the creation of a caliphate.

“Hamas shares the global ambitions of its fellow militant Islamists. That’s why its supporters wildly cheered in the streets of Gaza as thousands of Americans were murdered on 9/11. And that’s why its leaders condemned the United States for killing Osama bin Laden, whom they praised as a holy warrior. So when it comes to their ultimate goals, Hamas is ISIS and ISIS is Hamas.”

He went on to say that both ISIS and Hamas also had in common what “all militant Islamists share in common,” whether al-Qaeda and its various affiliates, Boko Haram in Nigeria, Hezbollah in Lebanon, al-Shabaab in Somalia, al-Nusra in Syria or the Mahdi Army in Iraq.

“Some are radical Sunnis, some are radical Shi’ites. Some want to restore a pre-medieval caliphate from the 7th century, others want to trigger the apocalyptic return of an imam from the 9th century. They operate in different lands, they target different victims – and they even kill each other in their quest for supremacy,” Netanyahu said.

“But they all share a fanatic ideology. They all seek to create ever expanding enclaves of militant Islam where there is no freedom and no tolerance – where women are treated as chattel, Christians are decimated, and minorities are subjugated, sometimes given the stark choice: convert or die.”…

Let me repeat my previous post that I worry that governmental bureaucracies like State are sinecures, that below the highest level political appointees they are essentially tenured faculty members who reflect the leftist academic bias extant today and are largely immune to political change and public sentiment. I’d like to think that some determined new leader would shake things up. President Kennedy once quipped that State were “prissies in striped pants”, but even Kennedy had to tolerate them. That’s just not democratic.

      @jewdog:

The classic story of diplomacy (State’s business) is that of Hugo Grotius in the 17th century. Renowned for his work _Freedom of the Seas_, which argued that all nations should be allowed to trade anywhere (no, no, Spain and Portugal!), the States of Holland made him their ambassador to the Court of St. James. There, Grotius had to explain why the Vereenigte Oostindische Maatschaapij would not allow Englishmen to trade in the Spice islands.

I’ll join with others in saying that Netanyahu has a much clearer idea about what’s going on in the Middle East than the O has.

As for the O’s policies, here’s a jingle which everyone here at JW should feel free to use:

      Who is friend?
      Who is foe?
      I’ve no clue,
      Nor has the O.

Is this some kind ultimate lie from the US State Department? I mean — WHAT???

The Jihadis SAY they are out to dominate the world for Islam!

The Jihadis textbook and manual, the Koran and hadiths, SAY that Islam must rule the world. And the Jihadis QUOTE it all the time!

The Jihadis ACT like they are out to conquer the world!

And the State Department says that: “No, they are not out to try and dominate the world.”

The sky isn’t blue, the moon is actually made out of green cheese, and Islam is the religion of peace. Not since the Soviet Union has a people been so lied to by their government about a threat to them.

It is the nature of truth to be known. No matter how many try to suppress it, the truth will out in the end. Islam is probably the most wrong thing in the entire universe. There are probably about 5-6 solid separate reasons why child rape is wrong. There are millions upon millions of solid separate reasons why Islam is wrong. That adherents of such an ideology should wield such huge power in our world is truly amazing. It emphasises both the propensity for corruption in our societies and in our souls. It shows that physical threats can override faulty logic for many. It is up to every one of us to warn our family members, friends, work colleagues and other acquaintances about this coming tsunami of jihad. Future generations are depending on us. The truth will win in the end.

20 years ago my image of Muslims was what Walt Disney and the multiculturalist media presented: smiley genies, magic carpets, mysterious men like Omar Shariff and Muslim patriots who opposed colonialism in Arabia. Then came the Internet:
      http://www.internetworldstats.com/emarketing.htm
-In 1995 there were 16 million Internet users, worldwide. On 9/11 there were half a billion. Today there are over 2.8 billion; 2.5 BILLION are non-Muslims.

-In 2012 78% of Americans were Internet users, over 245 million people.

-In 2012 only 4% of Middle Easterners were Internet users.

11/21/08 Zogby poll: The web is the most trusted news medium in America — over TV and print combined.

And that’s where we get the truth about Islam, on sites like this. That’s where we learn about this monstrous blood lusting “religion” called Islam. That’s why we are repulsed when idiots like Bush and Obama dare to call it a “religion of peace and tolerance.” The polls reflect that the world is rejecting Islam and the mindless drones who believe in it:
-On 9/11 only 17% of Americans didn’t like Muslims (11/11 Pew Research poll). 13 years later 41% of Americans have more negative feelings about Muslims than they do atheists, 40% (7/16/14 Pew Research poll).

-6/06 Pew Research poll: Those who agree that growing Islamic identity is a bad thing: UK 59%; Spain, Germany and France — 82 to 87%; US 46%.

-3/09 ABC-Post poll on who “doesn’t like Muslims”: All Americans 48%; conservatives 65%; liberals 40% (even liberals!).

-03/01/10, Financial Times poll: Europeans oppose the burka, the symbol of Islam: France 70% oppose; Spain 65% oppose; Italy 60% oppose; UK 57% oppose.

-7/21/11 http://www.pewglobal.org/2011/07/21/muslim-western-tensions-persist/ Those agreeing with the statement that relations with Muslims and Westerners are poor: France 62%; Germany 61%; Spain 58%; Britain 52%; U. S. 48%.

-6/1/13 http://muslimstatistics.wordpress.com/2013/07/25/reaction-geert-wilders-to-islam-poll-the-netherlands-has-had-enough-of-islam/ 63% want no more mosques; 72% favor a ban on Sharia law; 64% say that Muslim immigration has not been good for the Netherlands; 74% see a connection between terrorism and Islam

-7/3/13 http://www.d-intl.com/immigration-under-pressure-in-holland-and-switzerland/?lang=en#.UdRh7ayoiBh 55% favor a ban on further immigration from Islamic countries; 63% favor a ban on more mosques; 75% want a constitutional ban on sharia law in the Netherlands. The Dutch figures are in line with a Swiss referendum on June 9 where over 78% approved of further restrictions on asylum.

-8/31/14 http://www.breitbart.com 95% of Britons believe multiculturalism has failed.

      God bless the Internet.

The people of countries where Islamic dominance is being pushed and where laws are being manipulated and misused in order to take over with Sharia are appalled. The people see what is happening.

As a result of the Liar in Chief’s chronic deceptions about Islam and governance in general and lies of his administration (who I do not absolve as “clueless,” because the truth is too easy to learn), I’ve been re-reading Joel Kramer’s and Diana Alstad’s 1993 Masks of Authoritarian Power (also titled The Guru Papers). One of the best seldom read books out there, it faces Islam squarely, e.g., pp. 43-44, foreshadowing how IS like other jihadist groups is recruiting and exhorting terrorist acts by FB and online tech outreach. Passages from Kramer and Alstad provided here for educational and purposes, in sharp contradiction to what our deceptive State Dept. and POTUS keep falsely claiming about Islam:

“… the corruption of so-called spiritual power does not simply occur because the wrong person is in power. Rather, this occurs whenever a role or structure bestows power through images of infallibility or moral superiority. … If people believe a leader can save them, they are capable of any action ordered, including killing others and even themselves. Technology [from IED’s to nukes and bio-terrorism weapons] has expanded the potential abuse of power many-fold. Now through media images, leaders of all sorts can charismatically control far more people than ever before, without having any personal connection with them. A fundamentalist religious authority (now deceased) who took over an Islamic society exemplifies the very real danger of combining the extraordinary power of religion with political power. By literally giving them plastic keys to the gates of heaven, this leader was able to get young boys to die gladly as warriors for their salvation.

If humanity is to meet the extraordinary challenges it now faces, a context is needed that allows people to become self-corrective, responsible adults. Particularly in these times of upheaval, our deeply conditioned predilection to look to authorities to solve our problems must be seen for what it is — a part of human history that is no longer viable.

Throughout the ages, this need for authorities has created hierarchies that have allowed power and privilege to justify and maintain themselves, without needing recourse to anything other than the masked vested interest of tradition itself. Tradition has always been used to reassure people’s fear of chaos and of each other; it is also the cohesive force behind power and privilege. But now these traditions and institutions that once kept chaos at bay are at the root of disorder, since they are no longer able to meet the needs of a radically changing world. In times of upheaval the appeal of gurus’ [the authors’ catchall phrase for religious leaders claiming purity and/or moral high ground] and authorities, whether “spiritual” or secular, is really reaching for an anchor of stability. …[The aim of this book is] to show how and why any person, ideology, or structure that in the short or long run undermines a person’s self-trust is part of the problem, not the solution.”

Later Kramer and Alstad write (pp. 166, 340, 352, 361-362): “Some religions are more rigidly authoritarian than others. We devote little attention to Islam because it is so obviously authoritarian — the very word Islam means submission. … above all, people must surrender to the will of God as defined by the Koran. The words of the Koran are not subject to deep questioning. Some Islamic fundamentalists consider all of modernity the devil’s workshop, and with the moral righteousness that can only come from certainty, they would destroy it if they could.

Revisionist movements within Islam are deeply constrained in how far they can overtly challenge orthodoxy. … Significant elements within Islam have never been shy, even today, of maiming and killing those who disagree with them. Such draconian punishment stands as a stark example of how protecting what is considered sacred is used to justify violence.

… The removal of creativity from nature and sexuality to an abstract principle occurs in tandem with the split between the sacred and the mundane, which abstracts spirit from nature. … even today some Islamic sects claim women don’t have souls or go to heaven.

…The authoritarian nature of the monotheistic worldview is inherent, for revealed writings are necessarily its basis, laying down unchallengeable rules of how to live. Islamic authoritarianism ought to be obvious given the literal meaning of the word ‘Islam’ is submission (to God). What this really means is submission to the presumed words of God, the Koran.

… the hierarchical, authoritarian moralities [Islam being the most extreme, barbaric example] that demand sacrifice can do so only by blocking the intelligence, self-trust, and care needed for survival. This [heightened risk] is historically new because technology has leveraged human power beyond planetary ecosystems’ ability to correct human abuse. If it is inherent in the scheme of things that human beings need a moral order based on authoritarian beliefs that use fear of retribution … , our chances for survival are slim … unable to handle intelligently the power that our cleverness has given us. … Whatever form the new symbol system takes, it must include s shift from accumulation to preservation, from exploitation to care, and from otherworldly hope to hope in this world.”

A new symbol system won’t work to help us overcome Islamic authoritarianism if the lies of PC MC rot the core, as currently the case in western civilization. We definitely need a different meme ordered around preservation, care and this world. Any of us can start in our own lives, right where we are, with the people we know.

Haven’t they read this section of the Quran?

Quran (8:39) – “And fight with them until there is no more fitna (disorder, unbelief) and religion should be only for Allah” Some translations interpret “fitna” as “persecution”, but the traditional understanding of this word is not supported by the historical context (See notes for 2:193). The Meccans were simply refusing Muhammad access to their city during Haj. Other Muslims were allowed to travel there – just not as an armed group, since Muhammad had declared war on Mecca prior to his eviction. The Meccans were also acting in defense of their religion, since it was Muhammad’s intention to destroy their idols and establish Islam by force (which he later did). Hence the critical part of this verse is to fight until “religion is only for Allah”, meaning that the true justification of violence was the unbelief of the opposition. According to the Sira (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 324) Muhammad further explains that “Allah must have no rivals.”

Who is he going to blame when they start attacking us here in the US? My major concern is that Obama will not support Israel with money or military supplies if the time comes. AND, Obama is speaking with Iran re: ISIS. My guess he is offering to take the sanctions off the table so Iran will get involved. Scary, isn’t it!
