Three Afghan military officers missing from training exercise in Cape Cod

Sep 22, 2014 5:23 am By Robert Spencer

afghan-army_1948727bIt’s all right. They’re on our side, right? They’re “vetted moderates,” right? After all, it is absolutely unheard-of for any of our gallant Afghan allies to turn on their American friends, right? Nothing to be concerned about.

In reality, given the many, many incidents of green-on-blue attacks, that is, jihad attacks by Afghan military men and police officers against American personnel who were training and helping them, it is insane for the Obama Administration to bring Afghan troops to the U.S. for training. There is absolutely no need for it in any case. They can’t be trained in Afghanistan? And why should they be trained at all, when there is no reliable way to tell whether they are really on our side or not, and when the Afghan government as a whole is hardly a reliable ally?

“Three Afghan Military Officers Go Missing in US,” by Aaron Katersky, Luis Martinez and Michele McPhee, ABC News, September 21, 2014 (thanks to Pamela Geller):

Three Afghan national army officers have gone missing while in the United States for a joint military training exercise at Joint Base Cape Cod, U.S. military and law enforcement officials said.

They arrived in the country on Sept. 11, and were reported missing by base security personnel late Saturday. They were last seen at the Cape Cod Mall in Hyannis, Mass.

A Centcom official told ABC News there is no indication that the Afghan men reported missing pose any threat to the public. Officials said all the Afghan military personnel were fully vetted before they arrived

Base and local police and state authorities are working together to locate the three Afghans. There are still approximately a dozen Afghan soldiers still participating in the exercise, which ends Sep. 24th.

A National Guard spokesman told ABC News that officials are trying to piece together the missing Afghanistan National Army senior officers’ movements.

“It’s tough to say what they were doing at the mall. We are gathering all of the information we can on the officers’ now,” spokesman James Sahady said.

Massachusetts State Police spokesman David Procopio said the investigation is being run by the FBI and the Department of Justice, but Massachusetts state troopers are assisting in “putting the word out” and searching the area around Camp Edwards.

The three officers were participating in Central Command’s Regional Cooperation exercise, an annual command-post exercise. This year’s exercise runs Sept. 17-24 and includes representatives from five different nations and more than 200 participants.

Just last weekend, two Afghan policemen in the Washington, D.C., for a DEA training program at Quantico, Va., also went missing while on a sightseeing trip to Georgetown.

The two men, who were part of a group of 31 Afghan police officers in the U.S. for the multi-week program, were found safe somewhere outside of D.C., but officials would not say exactly where, ABC affiliate WJLA-TV reported.

According to WJLA-TV, the DEA said the two men left the group because they did not want to go back to Afghanistan.

While these guys may be trying to make serious trouble, there’s also the possibility that they’ll turn up running a kebap shop. I don’t like illegal immigration, but I also recognize that jihad isn’t the only motivation of everyone who calls himself a Muslim.

Sorry, when you deal with Muslims it must always be a maximum downside risk assessment. Obama will not declare war because the enemy is on the ground inside our borders.

Besides, everyone knows kebab shops are fronts for funding ISIS.

“no indication of a threat to the public”

Hopefully they are at least as thoroughly vetted as Nidal Hasan was after serving years in the US military.

If they do murder a bunch of Americans I just hope we all remember “…as horrific a tragedy as that would be, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.”

Sometimes diversity has to roll over the little speed bumps consisting of dead Americans, for the greater good. Some questions are “politically sensitive”. Muslims could be offended. Offended!

They must have joined HBO as DHS advisors with a proven specialisation in trying to improve on the Fort Hood and Boston Marathon records.

Any other suggestion may get you branded as an Islamophobe.

“the two men left the group because they did not want to go back to Afghanistan”

Well then, case closed. I seen no need for follow up beyond that. The obvious, almost tautological, answer is sufficient. Give them SNAP, somewhere to live, and maybe some marksmanship and flight training.

Note: Those two were from a different group in DC area than the Cape Cod group.

I suspect that in each case they were kidnapped by liberals to be used as token Muslim friends at social gatherings.
The Kennedy liberal clan from Hyannis Port , Mass is known to be active in the Cape Cod area.
There are also roaming bands of (defenders of Islam) university professors known to prowl the DC area from their home base at Georgetown University looking for Muslim friends.

Isn’t US military bases on the list of targets by potential terrorists.
Why not just draw them a map of US military bases and save the cost of airfare?

They might be in for a culture shock if they travel to the end of Cape Cod to ‘P-Town’ (Provincetown)
I haven’t been there since my early teens when it was just an artist colony type beach town. I have heard it is super liberal now.

They’re probably just getting drunk and bagging some blondes for the first time in their lives, completely out-of-control, but relatively harmless as long as the bartenders and the bimbos charge fair prices. Probably.

Looks like the USA is going to have another bunch of ” poor Muslim asylum seekers” knocking on the doors of the local social security office.

        LOL…Mirren10. No doubt.

The stories are already changing. The Boston Globe is reporting that State and local police haven’t been given photos of the three. WTF? How do you look for three missing soldiers without photos. Oh…and they say they are concerned for the safety of these three.

Anywho….Noorullah Aminyar has a FB page. Interesting page. Says he’s a captain in Afghanistan AND Fort Benning. There is a photo of him on Typee Island in GA.

        Strange shit.

Just so weird…According to his FB page, Aminyar claims to be a UNITED STATES Captain at Fort Benning…says he started his job there on December 6, 2013. But I can’t find a damn thing about it.

          Is he an American????

To be expected that our military intelligence personnel weren’t even watching these guys while they were strolling around, eating hotdogs, and enjoying the world while “sightseeing.”

Most government agencies in the West just barely function. Sort of like the speeding train Casey Jones was last commanding.

    ……………………………

I just heard this story on morning news radio. They were so coy that they just referred to them as “foreign officers”, and didn’t even say where they from—but somehow I was able to figure out that the chances of their being—say—British or French was rather slight…

Report on FOX said they were stopped at the Rainbow Bridge over Niagara Falls. (Isn’t that the bridge where Joseph Cotton killed Marilyn Monroe (in a movie)?)
No more information was given on the short news report. At least, that I heard personally.
