Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Toronto: Muslim anti-Israel hatefest draws 6000 people, reformist Muslim rally for persecuted Christians draws 80

Sep 22, 2014 1:50 pm By Robert Spencer

al quds devil childFrom Blazing Cat Fur:

On July 26 2014 Toronto’s Shia community mustered over 6000 participants for their Al Quds Day Anti-Israel Hate Fest held at Queen’s Park.

On September 21 2014 Muslims Facing Tomorrow managed to attract some 80 participants for their rally held on behalf of persecuted Christians.

This is what we are up against.

Yes, and not only that. We’re also up against political and media elites who insist that the 80 are representative of the overwhelming majority of Muslims in the West, and that the 6000 represent a tiny minority of extremists.

This myopia, wishful thinking and willful ignorance is going to have grave consequences: ignoring reality always does.

Do Canadians have any regrets for inviting Muslims to live among them?? Your PC?MC hopes of changing Muslims from their murderous behavior towards non-Muslims are just hopes. Ah, that will never happen!!Canada is going the same Islamic ways as UK and Europe. Unfortunately US is only two steps behind!!

We can argue semantics here but I would suggest the US is well ahead of Canada in the downward Islamic spiral. CAIR doesn’t run our government yet.

She must mot be Muslim to behave in such an immodest way unless they are related.

Many of us do see where this could go and have seen it as these guys tried to get Sharia law in courts a quite a few years ago in regards to marriage laws. It was not accepted and didn’t happen, thankfully. However, they are in politics and that’s how they start changing laws. Yes we see it and I hope we will uphold our Countries law and not give in to the tactics they use to erode the fabric of a Country’s laws. It is sad that so few were there at the rally for persecuted Christians. Our passive nature is very clearly a symptom of just ignoring what is going on in the world.

Canada could show that it cares about the persecuted Christians in some Muslim countries by permitting many more Christian refugees entry into Canada. The same goes with Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., and so on.

Non-Muslim teachers were told not to look directly into the eyes of Muslim students?! That’s messed up….of course, you shouldn’t stare at anyone, but brief (as opposed to prolonged) eye contact shouldn’t be a problem.

In my elementary and high schools, most of my teachers were white European heritage, but when I got to college/university, I had profs of all races and religions (and non-religious ones as well) and it didn’t bother me in the slightest.

        Alarm! Alarm! Alarm!

As of 2011, moslem population saturation in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), the major Canadian conurbation centered by the city of Toronto, was at 7.7%. This level is similar to those of London, Paris and Berlin.

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_in_the_European_Union_by_Muslim_population

The moslem population of Canada virtually DOUBLES or TRIPLES every decade (10 years).

        1971 33,000 —
        1981 98,000 +197.0%
        1991 253,265 +158.4%
        2001 579,640 +128.9%
        2011 1,053,945 +81.8%

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_in_Canada

Canada is already witnessing the same template of increasingly aggressive and totalitarian behavior of moslems occurring in Europe, particularly in Sweden, Germany, France and the UK, as evidenced by the ugly controlled violent pro-‘Palestinian’ and anti-Israel demonstrations in the GTA this summer.

There were similar pro-Muslim Brotherhood provocations in Canada’s capital, Ottawa, following the overthrow of Morsi by Sisi in Egypt last year. They were symbolized by the new R4BIA icon.

Be VERY alarmed Canada and REAL Canadians.

We should be alarmed, but we (in the Counter-Jihad) should not limit our alarm to the immediate future, for two reasons:

          1) it’s going to take decades to deconstruct the dominant and mainstream PC MC that rules not by secret cabal, not by official election, not by secret cabal, not by explicit rules, but rather by cultural osmosis.

          2) Muslims can be very patient (notwithstanding their volatile tantrums) and have the historical long view.

While we would be sounding the alarm and thinking the End is Night unless we do something NOW (if I had a five cent piece for every time a Counter-Jihadist has retorted to my observation that the West will be forced to deport Muslims in 50 years that “We’ll be dead in ten!” I’d have a chest full of worthless Canadian money), we will be ignoring the insidious yet far more dangerous long-term deepening of the stealth jihad making more and more possible a multitude of terror attacks in various places calculated to jar our society off guard and try to create havoc for more concerted Mumbai-style commando missions.

That’s just one theory. I’m sure I’m wrong and we have nothing like that to worry about…

Yes, I think at the rally in the GTA, some of the pro-Palestinian folks were shouting, “Death to Jews!” and “Heil Hitler!”

But wait. I thought that Canada had laws against that kind of hate speech. For example, there was that anti-gay, “God Hates Fags” church from the U.S. that was denied entry into Canada for spreading hatred against an identifiable group of people.

So, did any of those people gets arrested and charged for calling for genocide against Jews? That kind of rhetoric is not only extremely offensive to Jews, but also to other groups of people who were persecuted and murdered by Hitler and the Nazis.

      • Beagle says

        Sep 22, 2014 at 7:26 pm

        Absolutely.

Flaws include taking it easy on the Muslim Brotherhood and not being explicit as to why Islam regresses over and over.

A lot in the article is implied about Islam but not explicit in condemnation. But it was not the typical straight whitewash and deflection to the West and Jews I have come to expect. Not even close. The opening paragraph makes that clear.

But as a modern history and if you fill in the blanks with what you know about Islam and jihad, not bad at all.

It should perhaps be noted that criticism of Israel is a political position, and that many more people than Muslims are of that position. As well as Al-Quds day Toronto sees annual protests against Israeli apartheid at one of the universities in town, and even the gay pride day parade includes a “gays against Israeli apartheid” group.

Crap. Criticism of Israel, the **only** democracy in the ME, is not a ‘political position’.

For mohammedans, ‘criticism’ of Israel, aka demented, virulent hatred of **Jews**, is not a political position. It is mandated in the koran, the hadith, and the sira. It has existed since the vile mohammed invented this foul creed. For 1400 **years**, before the modern state of Israel even existed.

Equally, the insane hatred of ‘zionism’, which is only virulent anti-Semitism, shrouded in a PC pretty new dress, is not a ‘political position’, but merely an excuse to make Jew hatred somewhat more acceptable.

”As well as Al-Quds day Toronto sees annual protests against Israeli apartheid at one of the universities in town,”

Israeli apartheid ? When mohammedans in Israel have equal rights with Israelis, and even sit in the Knesset ? What evil crap.

Gay rights ? When gays in Israel have equal rights, and mohammedan countries are hanging them from cranes ?

Israel could do absolutely nothing to Muslims and gays would still hate it because of its Jewish identity and Judaism’s belief that homosexuality is a sin. Of course, Islam does too, but its all about identity politics. The dominant cultural paradigm is ‘evil’ and support must be given to every thing that will bring it down which is why you find homosexualists, feminists, Islamists, atheists, etc all so often rooting for eachother (especially if you go into academic fields such as anthropology where it is surprisingly common to find feminist/atheist PhDs shacking up with Islamists).

Unfortunately there is no cure for Anti – Semitism, you’re damned for eternity, just look at the history of those who have hated, nazis, muslims etc….

“The Egyptians, the Babylonians and the Persians rose, filled the planet with sound and splendor, then faded to dream-stuff and passed away; the Greeks and Romans followed and made a vast noise, and they were gone; other people have sprung up and held their torch high for a time but it burned out, and they sit in twilight now, and have vanished.

The Jew saw them all, survived them all, and is now what he always was, exhibiting no decadence, no infirmaties, of age, no weakening of his parts, no slowing of his energies, no dulling of his alert but aggressive mind. All things are mortal but the Jews; all other forces pass, but he remains. What is the secret of his immortality? ” – Mark Twain.

@3:30 he argues that Muslims should be allowed to teach their values to their children under “freedom of religion” — i.e., girls in public schools should be covered from head to toe. Considering all the TV segments I’ve seen of him interviewing Pamela Geller and others about the dangers of Islam I was rather shocked by his comments which advocate scraping common sense secular values in public schools.

He goes from the right of parents to impose physical punishment to the right of parents to define homosexuals as abnormal to the right of parents to teach gender apartheid in about 3 minutes all under the heading of religious freedom. Yes, it’s all done under the heading of religion, despite the teachings that God is love. This is also why we have trouble convincing “liberals” that there is something wrong with Islam. Yes, I know there is a big difference but that’s because I’ve been reading Jihadwatch, Atlasshrugs, etc. for several years as well as looking at the Qur’an. Speaking of “moderate” Muslims rallying, did anyone investigate that much-ballyhooed “nationwide rally” in Germany last Friday where Muslims were going to come out in droves around the country to denounce Islamic extremism, and ISIS in particular? I started reading the summaries, and I think it was the much-quoted AP story that just said “thousands” of Muslims showed up, but wouldn’t give any specific numbers. So, three thousand, or three hundred thousand? Knowing the mainstream media, you could bet that the number was really small and they were trying to cover that up. I saw in other sources that in Berlin, about 1000 Muslims attended the rally—and the rally had also been broadened to protest against “Islamophobia”. Not a surprise that the turnout was so low, despite the mainstream media’s desire for a different story.

The muslim problem in Canada is not nearly as bad as in the U.S. or Europe. This situation may very well change if Stephen Harper loses the next election for the Liberal Party in our country is led by an ignoramus named Justin Trudeau who is every bit as clueless and stupid as the leftwing politicians in Europe. If one claims to be a muslim then non-muslims can assume they stand by those rules – it’s not non-muslims who need to assume that muslims are not after their heads like the quran and ahadith mandate, it’s muslims who must prove that they reject such commandments and wish to live in peace in a Westernized, secular society where everyone is equal in front of the law.

“That would be like condemning ALL Christians for the Crusades and the Inquisition.”

This past Sunday, just steps away from the entrance of the Ontario Provincial Legislative Building, I attended the ‘Muslims Facing Tomorrow’ (MFT) demonstration. To say 80 Muslims showed up to protest against the persecution, rape, and murder of Christians in Muslim-majority countries is probably an exaggeration.

To start, many of the “80 persons” that attended were not Muslim. I met mostly Christians and Jews (for example, I spoke at length with a Pakistani-born Christian). The most prominent speaker at this small gathering was a Sikh member of the Canadian federal government.

By contrast, about a year before, just a few blocks south, on a large courthouse property across the street from the U.S. consulate, I attended another protest organized by Muslims. They were protesting against the ‘Innocence of Muslims’ video (the same “hateful video” that the Obama administration claimed provoked the attacked on the US consulate in Benghazi) .

There were thousands of Muslims at this “Love the Prophet” demonstration. However, by an overwhelming number, most of the signs waved by the protesters were not about “love the Prophet”, but rather, about “hate the Israelis” and “hate the Americans.”

This was a family-oriented hate fest, with parents and children pointing their hate signs towards the front doors of the US consulate (which were protected by many police officers on horses). And, despite the police being everywhere, several protestors standing near me, told to me leave, and I was physically threatened while standing on a public sidewalk (protest organizers in yellow-reflective highway vests surrounded me “for my own protection”) .

Also pushed and threatened, was Sun TV’s Michael Coren, who was there with a cameraman interviewing protestors (there were no other major news networks covering the event).

The big hero of the protest, was sitting in a wheel chair, and surrounded by adoring fans. It was Karim Khadr, the brother of terrorist and murderer Omar Khadr (Karim was crippled in Pakistan by Pakistani anti-terrorist police when they shot and killed his Al Qaida father, Ahmed).

Meanwhile, shouting from loud speakers, were local Imams and Muslim community leaders spurting lies and misinformation, such as how innocent Muslims were tortured every day by Americans at Guantanamo Bay prison. They made angry strident calls for Canada to create blasphamy laws to punish those that criticize the Prophet of Islam and laws to punish those who spread “Islamophobia.” It was quite a spectacle.

Sadly, after attending the Muslims Facing Tomorrow rally from few days ago, and comparing that protest with the “Love the Prophet” rally from last year, I came away with the clear conclusion that “moderate Muslims” are as few as a few grains of sand on a beach.

In fact, to a great extent , it is the moderates that are the biggest problem because the get a disproportionate amount a news coverage which creates a false impression that the vast majority of Muslims are “moderate”, and that Islam is misunderstood by a “few radicals”. Mainstream news agencies barely cover the much larger anti-Western and anti-Israel and anti-American rallies like Al Quds, held every year in Toronto and in cities around the world.

My question to politically active “moderate Muslims” is how can you preach that Islam is not about hate when the Muslim “holy book”, the Qur’an, commands Muslims to “strike at the necks of the unbelievers” (8:12) as the soldiers of ISIS are quoting and doing to Christians and Yazidis?

I told Ms. Raheel Raza (organizer of the MFT rally) how disappointed I was to see so few Muslims at her rally. I told her that about the huge number of Muslims protesting last year against “insulting” the Prophet Mohammed. I told her how stark contrast–with the small number of Muslims protesting against the “murdering” of Christians and other “unbelievers” in Syria and Iraq.

In so many words, I told her I wish she and her Muslim friends were truly representative of the Muslim mainstream, but they are not. And I told her, with all my heart, I that wish this were not true. But it is.

She is just one a few grains of sand.

But what is the answer to the much larger beach?

Maybe moderate Muslims such as herself should read their own religious book, the Qur’an, which is the same book followed by the newly proclaimed Caliph, Al-Baghdadi, who has a PhD. in Islamic Studies and, like his ISIS followers, he knows the Qur’an backwards and forwards.

From birth I was brought up a Catholic. I attended private Catholic School run by nuns. I was inculcated with Catholic beliefs. I was an altar boy– I was as devout as a Catholic can be. But as a young adult–when still in my teens–I left the Catholic Church because I realized I couldn’t be a member of an organization that had so many child molesters (among other issues). Nevertheless, I knew the Catholic Church is not Christianity, but rather, the Church is an institution for which I cannot abide.

Importantly, and by contrast, Christian teachings from the New Testament have no orders for Christians to “strike at the necks” of unbelievers. Jesus was not a warlord, as was Mohammed.

But as an adult, I made a decision–using my free will–and left the Catholic Church. Why can’t more Muslims like Raheel Reza do the same and leave Islam? As an adult, I know longer refer to myself as a “Catholic” or as a “Christian,” I refer to myself a person.

Being Muslim is not about being black or white or brown. Being Muslim is not about being born with a certain skin color. Muslims are not a race. Muslims are people.

Why do Ms. Raza and other prominent Muslim moderates such as, Irshad Manji and Tarek Fatah, continue to call themselves “Muslims” when they clearly are not? (and FYI, most other Muslims don’t believe they’re Muslims, either).

They are adult persons, not children with brainwashed beliefs. Why can’t they just say, “I am no longer a Muslim”, and stop wasting everyone’s time.

Oh, I forgot ! Quitting the Catholic Church or Christianity won’t get me killed. Whereas quitting Islam might.

Sometimes being a person is hard.

Your deeply fallacious tu quoque reasoning is showing most glaringly. Are you even aware that, just since 9/11, Islamic terrrorism in any given single year since that tragic date has resulted in more deaths than the Crusades (which, btw, were defensive measures to take land back acquired by brutal Muslim conquest in the seventh century) and the Inquisition, perpetrated over its 300 year history, inflicted COMBINED?

As for Buddhist terrorism, Hindu terrorism, et al., it pales, remotely pales, in comparison. You either know this or should know it. Seems you don’t. I mean, do you really think, do you really believe, that all the precautions taken at airports all over the world are due equally to possible Buddhist and Hindu terrorism as well as Islamic terrorism? Examine too the theological blueprints of every religion and, if you can be honest (which, quite frankly, I doubt), you will have to conclude, as Bertrand Russell did almost a century ago, that Islam is the only major faith which is totalitarian in structure and ideology.

Wake up, doofus, and quit your oh-so-noticeable morallly equivalent reasoning. Frankly, it makes you look like the fool you are.

    Christy,

While most of your facts are accurate (Turkey is far out of date), the facts don’t prove your point. Just the opposite. Look at the examples you use: a pastor loses a finger, 20 people flee under threat. These things completely pale in comparison to Islamic extremism, both in number and severity.

North Korea is the current exception to this, but they are the exception which undermines your argument. North Korea is a virulent persecutor of Christians because they have an explicit ideology which promotes brutal repression. Islam has an explicit ideology which promotes brutal persecution of Jews, Christians, pagans, gays, etc. And yes, this includes persecuting less devoted Muslims. This aggression is not an aberration, but instead is part of the core teachings and example of their founder. There is simply nothing in the teachings or example of Christ or Buddha which promote this kind of violence.

Of course there are many Muslims which abhor ISIS. But the real story is the large percentage of Muslims who support the destruction of Israel, suicide bombings and sharia law. You are refusing to acknowledge the inherent radicalism within the core of Islamic teaching and history. What is the point you are trying to make?

The danger with your kind of thinking, though somewhat informed, is that focus gets moved off the clear problem of Islamic teaching and placed on the very fuzzy category of general “radicalism.” All that accomplishes is taking the heat off of the one group mainstream Western society is trying to ignore, the group which is overwhelmingly and measurably the greatest threat we face.

You are delivering the same line that Islamic apologists are delivering: All radicals are bad, Christians have terrorists too! True, but I count ours on my left hand and theirs with a barrel full of rice.

I never thought I’d see these disrespectful foreigners in my home town of Toronto. Sure, I watched the videos of muslims rioting in Europe, but I thought Canada was many years away from this scourge. WRONG!!!!! Toronto has been a multi-cultural city for as long as I can remember. Many Italians, Poles, Irish, Portuguese, Chinese (and many more), have made Toronto their home, yet I don’t remember any of these nationalities creating problems. All of them came to Canada for a better life and opportunity for their children. And all of them made the effort to learn the language and assimilate with Canadian culture and society. All that is, with the exception of the muslims.
I resent their demands and utter disrespect for our country. I loathe their outcry of being ‘offended’, because what they don’t know is that Canadians are offended by them. The difference is we’re too polite and politically correct to say anything. However, I see the tide of thinking is slowly turning away from these muslim ‘whiners’, and political correctness, in relation to muslims, is quickly eroding. This behavior can’t be tolerated at the expense of Canadian culture.
