Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Muslim leader in Israel: “Entire earth” will be “subordinate” to caliphate

Oct 26, 2014 8:07 pm By Robert Spencer

Iran’s former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad himself once said: “Have no doubt… Allah willing, Islam will conquer what? It will conquer all the mountain tops of the world.” Sheik Ali Al-Faqir, former Jordanian minister of religious endowment, said this on Al-Aqsa TV on May 2, 2008: “We proclaim that we will conquer Rome, like Constantinople was conquered once…” Hamas MP and Islamic cleric Yunis Al-Astal said this, also on Al-Aqsa TV, on April 11, 2008: “Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was, as was prophesized by our Prophet Muhammad.”

Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the most prominent and renowned imam in the world, in writing about “signs of the victory of Islam,” referred to a hadith: “The Prophet Muhammad was asked: ‘What city will be conquered first, Constantinople or Romiyya?’ He answered: ‘The city of Hirqil [i.e. the Byzantine emperor Heraclius] will be conquered first’ – that is, Constantinople”¦ Romiyya is the city called today ‘Rome,’ the capital of Italy. The city of Hirqil [that is, Constantinople] was conquered by the young 23-year-old Ottoman Muhammad bin Morad, known in history as Muhammad the Conqueror, in 1453. The other city, Romiyya, remains, and we hope and believe [that it too will be conquered]. This means that Islam will return to Europe as a conqueror and victor, after being expelled from it twice – once from the South, from Andalusia, and a second time from the East, when it knocked several times on the door of Athens.”

“Israeli Islamist Leader Kamal Khatib: Jerusalem Will Be Caliphate Capital; PA TV Cuts Interview Off,” MEMRI, October 17, 2014:

In an interview with the official PA TV channel, Sheik Kamal Khatib, deputy leader of the Islamic Movement in Israel, said: “Jerusalem will not be only the capital of the Palestinian state, but also the capital of the coming righteous Islamic caliphate.” After he repeated his views several times and said that “the entire Earth” would “become subordinate to the Islamic caliphate one day”, PA TV cut the interview short.

Following are excerpts from the interview, which aired on October 17, 2014.

Interviewer: Let us first watch what you said at the Al-Aqsa Mosque this week.

Archival images of Kamal Khatib speaking

Kamal Khatib: I have said it before, and I say it again: Allah willing, Jerusalem will not be only the capital of the Palestinian state, but also the capital of the coming righteous Islamic caliphate…

Crowd member: Say: “Allah Akbar!”

Crowd: Allah Akbar!

[…]

In studio:

Interviewer: Sheik, we listened to what you said at Al-Aqsa earlier this week. You said that Jerusalem would be the capital of the Islamic caliphate. What caliphate are you talking about?!

Kamal Khatib: In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate. First, I am proud to have said this at the gates of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, from the frontline trenches of defense of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and not on Facebook or other social media. I’m not good at constructing theories. I’m only good at field work. While talking about the future of Jerusalem, I emphasized that Jerusalem would be not only the capital of the Palestinian state, but the capital of the coming righteous Islamic caliphate as well.

Interviewer: This brings to mind the ISIS organization. It is ISIS that is calling for an Islamic caliphate in the current circumstance.

Kamal Khatib: This is a simpleton’s understanding of history. The term “Islamic caliphate” has existed for 1,300 years…

Interviewer: But throughout the history of Islam, Jerusalem has never been the center or capital of any Islamic caliphate. Cairo, Baghdad, Damascus, and other cities were caliphate capitals, but not Jerusalem.

Kamal Khatib: Its time will come.

[…]

Interviewer: Are we expected to wait for the establishment of the Islamic caliphate in the Arab world, and only then liberate Jerusalem?

Kamal Khatib: Who says so?

Interviewer: It is supposed to be the capital of an Islamic caliphate that does not exist…

Kamal Khatib: I said that Jerusalem would be “not only” the capital of the Palestinian state. This was meant to emphasize that Jerusalem should be and will be the capital of the Palestinian state, but if we take more pride in the status of Jerusalem… Look, Cairo, Damascus, Baghdad, and Riyadh are all capital cities, but when I say that Jerusalem will become the capital of all capitals, this means that it will have a higher standing than all those capitals. These cities will be capitals of provinces, of states, but Jerusalem will be the capital of the [Caliphate] state – and I’m not referring to the one in northern Iraq and northern Syria.

[…]

Interviewer: But you haven’t answered my question regarding the caliphate. Where will it be? In Iraq? In Syria? In the Arab Mashriq? In North Africa?

Kamal Khatib: The Prophet Muhammad said that the Islamic caliphate would encompass the Earth.

Interviewer: The whole world?!

Kamal Khatib: Yes, the whole world will become subordinated to the Islamic caliphate one day.

Interviewer: Really? The entire world will turn into an Islamic Caliphate?

Kamal Khatib: Yes.

Interviewer: The West? Russia? Latin America?

Kamal Khatib: This does not mean that Islam will be imposed upon these peoples.

[…]

ISIS is a small group that was created by the West as a pretext to come to the Islamic countries of the East. Obama said yesterday that this war would last three years, and his deputy said that this war would last 30 years. They did not come here just because of an organization they say has 50,000 men. They came in order to fight the Islamic enterprise…

The interview is cut off by the PA TV

When the Holy Prophet was asked to speculate, that shoulda been a clue that these Moslems have big plans, as in taking the whole enchilada. Nothing chickensheet about these guys.

So now the deeply revered Qaradawi is making the same speculation. When? Where first? In what order?

Notice the absence of doubt in all this. Eventual ultimate victory in the form of world takeover is endowed, imbued, instilled, assumed. Qaradawi and the other leaders of the Religion of Peace are talking this world takeover stuff, so it’s a bit dissonant, but so long as Bill O’Reilly and Sean are cool with it, I guess we should be too.

Our ruling elites should think about that before they team up with the Peshmerga by giving them arms, ammo, equipment and above all cash. They are after all Sunni Moslems. Same goes for Colonel Ollie North’s Moderate Moslem buddies in Anbar.

When it comes to the Islam, it *does* pay to bite the hand that feeds you. It pays top dollar, and best of all it’s *pre-paid*. Now that’s credit.

It’s interesting that he dislikes ISIS and see it as a Western conspiracy, yet he has the same goals as ISIS. Does that make him a moderate? Ha!
Also, consider that the Vatican, as the worldwide spiritual leader of Catholics, could be considered a sort of Christian caliphate, yet nobody finds that concept intimidating. The difference is that the Pope doesn’t talk about using force to impose secular Catholic rule. This comes back to the central flaw in Islam: it seeks to impose its laws and rule over the world, by force if necessary. Despite this openly stated intention, very few Western leaders have had the courage, or awareness, to warn the public of that malign threat.

Hey JW members, you may not like this but I admire the convictions these crazy Muslims have, however insane they may be. What do we westerners have in return? Fight for gay rights? We are down on the path to losing our liberty for sure.

Your right that many liberals are living empty, meaningless lives. Go to the bible belt, go to the PEACEFUL people of christianity, budhism, hinduism, Judaism, they are living lives of meaning and perceived purpose.
These muslims have beliefs, yes. And part of their beliefs causes them to behead ppl who are infidels, stone women, rape women, enslave women, buy women, sell women, murder hundreds of christians.
I’m sorry you admire their convictions.
      Maybe u shud join ISIS.

I think Sam has a point.
Unless we, peoples of the West, go back and re-adopt our great Judeo-Christians values, we have nothing to fight for, nothing to die for.
I don’t think we are willing to fight and die for our right to redefine marriage, for our right to murder our unborn babies or for our right to play hip hop and rap ugly noise.
Decent peoples are only willing to fight and die for values, great values.

          Salah…
I will fight for my right to freedom. That’s it. The right to choose what I do with my life each day. To choose how I dress, what I eat, where I work. Some people aren’t religious (I happen to be) but that doesn’t mean they have no values worth fighting for. The mere desire to have choices in your life is worth fighting for. Everyone can relate to this.

        • Jen says

          Oct 27, 2014 at 8:06 am

Salah, if you try to throw religion into this all the time, it won’t help to unite people at all. We all have a problem with Islam. Even Hindus and Sikhs who live in the West. Not everyone needs to relate to traditional Judeo-Christian values to want to fight against Islam and resist death. How can you not see that? The other thing you really need to understand is that creating different categories for “moderate” Muslims and assuming that we can somehow safely police each of these categories is madness. You can’t. It is costly and time-consuming and non-Muslims will have their own freedoms curtailed to accommodate this constant monitoring. I’d rather our governments spent money developing our countries, and making it better for those groups of people who actually want to assimilate; not waste it on policing Muslims. Govts need to start being pragmatic about this. Muslims are too costly and burdensome to keep many of them. This is reality. I’m not willing to sacrifice my safety or the safety or others in order to accommodate Muslims who may or may not turn devout. I’m not willing to deal with the instability or ‘shakiness’ that adopting a moderate Muslim category lends itself to.

        • Salah says

          Oct 27, 2014 at 5:05 pm

          @Jen,
“Some people aren’t religious (I happen to be) but that doesn’t mean they have no values worth fighting for.”

You’re absolutely right, Jen. The natural law is written in the hearts and minds of each and everyone of us. You don’t have to be religious to know right from wrong.
Nevertheless, these great values, naturally written in your heart, *are* Judeo-Christians values…whether you know it or not.

He says that the West has come “to fight the Islamic enterprise” not an organisation called Isis.

The “Islamic Enterprise” is being fought inasmuch as Isis is part of that enterprise, so he is right in a way.

But the West needs to fully grasp the nature of the “Islamic Enterprise” and listen to people like Robert Spencer who can articulate the nature of this beast.

I’m sure this Islamic Enterprise will share its nature with that of Muhammed in his Mobster from Medina days. Such an enterprise should be fought and opposed in every way.

Israeli Islamist Leader Kamal Khatib believes that the one God (Allah) is omnipotent, omniscient, and all good (“merciful,” “compassionate” so why doesn’t He use His power to make everyone good, or the whole world good? Why does He have to have anyone submit to Him, since He can make everyone do what He pleases?
Mohammedanism is not only a violent religion, founded by warriors (see Robert Spencer, Did Mohammed Exist?), but is self-contradictory.

  6. Dave J says

    Oct 26, 2014 at 10:16 pm

I have always said the only thing worse than a war is a religious war.

It is difficult for the secular to match the rage, intensity and dedication of the religiously deluded. They are so focused on their age old hatreds, to the exclusion of most of the things we value such as love, music, freedom and so much more.

The resentments and sick ambitions of Islam are timeless. Our defiance for a decade or two means nothing to them – they are content to wait us out and then resume their deadly and implacable invasions.

Our short term liberalist thinking only plays into their hands. I am sure they are greatly encouraged by our inability to recognize any of this or to even state the name of the enemy.

That we allow them to infiltrate our society, our universities and our military must give them great satisfaction. Particularly since we are paying their salaries and dole while they plot against us.

Never in recorded history has a more profoundly ridiculed and despised bunch of miscreants spouted such inane dogma. They are oblivious to the fact that they represent the most incompetent bunch of fools that the human species has ever brought forth. In their own homelands, nothing of note is created, built, invented or designed unless they are fortunate enough to have petro dollars to pay for westerners to do it for them. Other than that, their society has contributed nada to civilization except mismanaged sewers, garbage-strewn land and the CO2 they exhale. For them to delude themselves that my society would ever allow them to impose their idiocy is comical, at best.

Muslims are obsessed with Jerusalem and the Temple mount because their own holy book is filled with stories from the Jewish scriptures – usually in a distorted way. They realize that their religion is a plagiarized fake, and the presence of Jews in their own holy place reminds them of that and makes them feel opressed.
