And the terrible fact that ‘we the sheeple’ of ‘Amerika’ placed Pres. Obama into office – NOT ONCE – BUT TWICE!
“The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.”
      (Ps 12:8 [KJV])

The legacy of this country that once followed the ‘Judeo-Christian’ values of our forefathers – has for sometime now actually become followers of Satan and his murderous lies!
My understanding Biblically is that which “the Lord Jesus Christ” said to the Pharisees – who were the leaders of the Jewish people 2,000 years ago – sure does apply to ‘Amerika’ – RIGHT NOW:
      (12) Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
      (13) But he answered and said,
EVERY PLANT, WHICH MY HEAVENLY FATHER HATH NOT PLANTED, SHALL BE ROOTED UP.
      (14) LET THEM ALONE: THEY BE BLIND LEADERS OF THE BLIND.
AND IF THE BLIND LEAD THE BLIND, BOTH SHALL FALL INTO THE DITCH.
      (Matt 15:12-14 [KJV])

Alissa – Thanks for your comment. I am having to do some real thinking and putting into written form my understanding from “the word of the LORD” the answer to your question – ‘What does God want us to do?’
I’ll post something when I come up with a readable thought – from my Biblical understanding. – Bro. Nick

Yeah, it was bad move to allow Obama to be President. I remember when he was first elected and my mother said “He’s got Muslim ancestry. That is not good! He’s going to be pro-Islam and pro-Muslim!” I thought she was overreacting and dismissed it at the time because he didn’t actually openly say he WAS a Muslim (to my knowledge).

I know better now, of course. There’s that old expression “blood is thicker than water.” But instead here, you could say “Islam is thicker than water.”

O’bummer, on the other hand is a muslim traitor and imposter in the Whitehouse, trying to destroy everything proud Americans have fought and died for to preserve the Judeo-Christian values of their nation.
While Netanyahu was actively fighting with Mossad to defend Israel, O’bummer was smoking dope on some university campus……….the US definitely drew the short straw in it’s choice of leaders………………

As far as I know, I don’t have a drop of Jewish blood in me Irish, Scot’s Irish (Scottish protestants moved into Northern Ireland by the English to be a buffer between them and the actual Irish. Scot’s Irish are mostly Scot. Interesting story, actually. My parents ancestors fought on opposite sides of every war over there and came here to fight on either side of the Revolution and the civil war. Though they didn’t know each other, my parents families have literally been at war with each other for centuries. Then my parents met, married – and it went nuclear.) English and German complete the mix, except for a drop or two of native American and possibly African American also. One of my ancestors was Choctaw and the Choctaw owned black slaves. So I don’t know. In that family, Jewish blood would also be an embarrassment, and covered up in a generation or two So, without a DNA test, I’ll never be sure.

Why the genealogy? I want it to be clear that I support Israel for ideological reasons, not blood or religion. I know the history of the area, and I know that Arabs have been coming from all over the middle east for generations to be oppressed/find a decent job and live in a society where your votes actually count. There are Arab representatives in the Knessit! How many Jews are similarly privileged in muslim countries?

If you guessed none, congratulations! Right on the first try!

Lebanon used to be a christian country. but the POL attacked Israel until the Israelis got tired of it. They drove the PLO out of Israel and all they through Lebanon until they had them trapped. Had we simply let the Israelis proceed, things would be a lot calmer now and Lebanon would still be christian, instead of a bombed out muslim hellhole.

But Ronald Reagan MADE THEM STOP! He promised to provide a security buffer (remember the 241 marines?) if Israel didn’t finish the job. Since Reagan controlled a large part of their arms supplies, they had to agree. Then terrorists blew up the marines, and what did Saint Ronnie do?

In one of the most cowardly and disgraceful episodes in American military history, HE TURNED TAIL AND RAN! He betrayed Israel and he betrayed our ally Lebanon. The PLO was now free to escape and conquer our former christian ally Lebanon. 24 hours later, Reagan invaded Grenada. “He spoke loudly and carried a limp dick.” I said that.

Once I saw a demonstration on a broad street packed with probably a million people waving Kalashnikovs and screaming “Death to Israel!” I shocked my friends when I said that they were, “…very lucky I wasn’t running the IDF; that street would have been a lake of fire.”

Israel has shown incredible restraint. their enemy will not relent and will be satisfied only if they are all dead. Yet they continue to try to make peace. christians and Jews continue to be driven out of Palestinian areas ; the world fails to notice. Meanwhile the Israelis are compared to the Nazis and get worldwide animosity and hatred for their persecution of the poor Palestinians.

The Jews will only lose one war. If that happens, they will be eradicated.

I remember when it was the left that supported Israel while the right’s main preoccupation was keeping Jews out of their country clubs. The propaganda of Palestinian victimization flipped the left in a generation; the politics of oil and the rise of evangelism did the same to the right.

    AMAZING!

israel is our only natural friend in that part of the world. And the day may soon come when we need the beachhead Israel can provide. We need to mend our fences, and the naive idiots in the WH and elsewhere need to STFU.

    Just sayin…

So, “Saint Ronnie” managed to facilitate a sectarian war for 10 years between Iran and Iraq, while simultaneously dismantling the Soviet Union, and you say he should have done more during his tenure?

Another textbook example of left-leaning liberal’s abject lack of comprehension of facts and historical chronology in favor of programmed political ideology. Wholly valueless to the counter-jihad movement in my estimation.

Reagan, UnEasyOne, made a mistake going into Lebanon as he did with Iran-Contra (though he only knew about the Iran part), but arguably no person did more to bring down Communism sooner rather than later than Ronald Reagan. I taught many students from Eastern Europe and I can tell you that Reagan is greatly admired in that region of the world. Alexander Solzhenitsyn thought Reagan a very great human being. When he gave his “Evil Empire” speech, the future leader of a free Czech Republic, Vaclav Havel, said something to the effect that is was one of the finest examples ever of how words can move history (though, of course, American liberals went nuts over the speech). Reagan also did more to de-nuclearize the West than anyone else up to his time. When he proposed his “zero option” in the early 1980s, both Soviets and Democrats scoffed at it. However, by 1987 Reagan had achieved not only this but a double zero option with the Soviets by way of getting rid of both mid-range and short-range nuclear missiles in Europe (one of the reasons the Soveits agreed to the double zero option was that the Strategic Defense Initiative, derided as Star Wars by opponents, scared the hell out of them). Those who maintain that the USSR was ready to fall anyway have to contend with statements like those of Alexander Bessmertnykh, Gorbachev’s Foreign Minister, who said, and I quote, “Ronald Reagan’s defense spending and SDI accelerated the demise of the Soveit Union.”

As for invading Grenada, that small island country had descended into chaos, anarchy had broken out and Americans, including American medical students, were in grave danger (I know because my genral physician for many years was one of these medical students). Reagan ended the anarchy, prevented Cuba from in effect taking over the island and restored order. It would have been the height of presidential indecision and even cowardice had Reagan not moved into Grenada when he did in October of 1983.

Reagan also made America believe in itself again after the horrible Sixties and Seventies. His economic programs worked quite well even though they are mischaracterized to this day. Reagan cut the top tax rate from 70% to 28% AND doubled tax revenue by doing this. The damn Congress, however, and it is important to keep in mind that the House, where all financial bills must originate, was controlled by Democrats for the entire eight years of Reagan’s presidency, spent the extra revenue Reagan raised faster than he brought it in and then turned around and blamed him for the deficits. And while Reagan did spend more on defense, it is important to keep in mind 1) that defense spending had been gutted in the Seventies and 2) the federal budget year in which JFK spent the LEAST on defense as a percentage of federal spending is still more than the federal budget year in which Reagan spent the MOST on defense, again as a percentage of federal spending.

I know you’re a liberal, UnEasyOne, and I know we’re on the same side on a very important issue of our time, perhaps THE most important issue of our time, but we conservatives look upon Ronald Reagan as our FDR. And just as FDR made mistakes (e.g., the New Deal really didn’t work and FDR was way, way too trusting of Joseph Stalin), so did Reagan. And just as conservatives should be cautious about criticizing FDR too much, so, I submit, should liberals do the same with The Gipper.

I write this in a spirit of friendship, not hostility. Hope you and yours are doing well. Take care. And now back to the fight where we’re on the same side.

No point in pissing people off when nothing is to be gained by it. The point I made was about Reagan and islam. I apologize for causing you to write that long comment in defense of Reagan when I have no intention of responding. I just don’t want to start a generalized right/left pissing match that can only distract from the issue at hand. I have criticized Reagan, both Bushes, Clinton and Obama re the “religion of peace.”

@ UnEasyOne – Thank you for both of your posts. Unfortunately – as you said – the truth is that Pres. Reagan made some very serious errors in his political decisions while he was in office.

I too am a staunch non-Jewish blood supporter of ISRAEL for 45+ years – since before ‘The 6 Day War of 1967′ – beginning many years before I became a CHRISTian. (just after 9/11/01!)
Do I condone all that Israel does? – NO – BUT – My support of Israel is now based upon what “the Word of God” tells me as a true believer and follower of “the Lord Jesus Christ” – a CHRISTian – is commanded to do.
By The Grace of “THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY” I will personally continue to most willingly and joyously obey the commands in His Holy Word – to willingly and joyfully support ISRAEL, the JEWISH people and an un-divided JERUSALEM “the apple of His eye”.

Most unfortunately, the ‘leadership’ of ‘Amerika’ for the last several administrations either do not know – do not care – or do not pay ANY ATTENTION to “the truth” of “the words of the Lordy”:
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.”
          (Psalm 122:6 [KJV])

          (1) Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
          (2) And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
          (3) And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
          (Genesis 12:1-3 [KJV])

Yes, such people as Reagan and Patton could clearly recognize evil. So could old liberals like Truman and Attlee.

But, as another old liberal, former and deceased New York Senator, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, said years ago, the single greatest failing of modern liberalism is its inability to recognize and properly deal with evil. The current clown in the Oval Office serves as ipso facto evidence, Exhibit #1, of Senator Moyhihan’s insightful comment.

Additionally worrying is that increasingly so many on the right side of the political spectrum, for instance former President George W. Bush, Senator John McCain of Arizona, and Senator Lyndsey Graham of South Carolina, have also succumbed to ignorance on a grand scale where Islam is concerned, though at least these three have, to date, not added to their mindset the other great plague of our time, i.e., moral relativism, which modern liberals have demonstrated a sorry capacity for, indeed they are superb at invoking the moral relativism card ad nauseam, though I allow myself to be cautiously optimisitc that such an uber-liberal as Bill Maher has comprehended that Islam is a hate-filled ideology which is deep bad news for the best which the West has produced and, to his credit, has said so very publicly. Ah, hope springs eternal, does it not?

Fluid times, no doubt. Though I want to make it clear to all that whatever faults lie with the modern Right, they still pale in comparison to those of the modern Left. The two greatest threats to liberty in our time remain Islam and the Western Left. I challenge anyone to prove me wrong here. I assert most emphatically it can’t be done. I will take on all comers.

Chickens are not cowards. The rooster will fight to the death to protect his hens. A mother hen will sacrifice her life to protect her children from chicken hawks and other predators.

And farmers in the South have long used chicken droppings as potent fertilizer for their crops. In fact, it is such a strong substance that farmers must be extremely careful that they don’t use too much or put it in the soil too close to the time of planting or their crops will be burned.

Those who use profanity to insult are not worth listening to; and those who insult and still hide who they are, are not worth listening to. Profanity and insults are what is cowardly. It is what comes out of the mouth that defiles a person (Matthew 15:11-18).

    Israel and Iran.
