It doesn’t matter how much hatred and bloodlust Hamas displays, or how much open contempt for the “peace process” (which is indeed a ridiculous charade), or how many times Hamas repeats its desire to destroy Israel entirely and kill as many Jews as possible. The aid money keeps flowing in, and the jihad keeps on being enabled by the feckless and reckless West.
“World Ignores as Hamas Boasts of Continued Tunnel-Digging,” by Hillel Fendel, Arutz Sheva, October 20, 2014:
The destruction of the widespread Hamas tunnel network was considered a major Israeli achievement of the recent war in Gaza, but the Hamas weekly newspaper Al-Risalah reports that Hamas continues digging tunnels from Gaza into Israel.
A reporter for Al-Risalah claims to have visited an “offensive tunnel” – a term referring to an underground conduit planned to be used in an attack against Israel. Hamas has attacked Israel via tunnels of this nature in the past, either by sending armed terrorists into Israel to target Israelis, or – as in the famous case of Gilad Shalit – by capturing a soldier nearby and abducting him into Gaza.
The tunnel purportedly visited by the reporter was destroyed by Israel during the recent war, but is now apparently being restored by Hamas, dozens of meters underground.
The Al-Risalah report confirms other evidence that Israel’s successful detection and destruction of terrorist tunnels during Operation Protective Edge is on the brink of coming undone. Last month, for instance, Hamas confirmed that one of its members was killed while helping to dig a tunnel.
The IDF discovered and destroyed at least 34 terrorist tunnels during Protective Edge; others are assumed to have survived the war.
In the space of five days in July, Hamas terrorist groups entered Israel via three different tunnels, killing six IDF soldiers before they themselves were liquidated.
The recent revelation comes after a senior IDF commander of the Gaza Division engineering unit last week assessed that not all Hamas terror tunnels were destroyed, confirming earlier Hamas statements which bragged that not all of the group’s tunnels were destroyed.
Regardless of that, and the fact that humanitarian materials were siphoned by Hamas to build the tunnels in the first place, Israel began transporting more construction materials into Gaza last Tuesday as a “humanitarian gesture,” including 600 tons of cement, 50 truckloads of aggregate and 10 truckloads of steel.
The world has likewise turned a blind-eye to the overwhelming evidence of renewed tunnel construction, with world states last Sunday pledging $5.4 billion for Gaza at a Cairo donor conference.

Maybe we should call them the Sisyphus tunnels. No sooner are they destroyed than everyone bands together to rebuild.
Rinse and repeat.
What a waste of time, effort and money.

Of course not. Those bastards are waging war against the Jewish state from 5 star hotels in Qatar and the accomplished exactly what the were looking for. Half billion $$$$ in aids to rebuild Gaza. Of that at least half of the money will be in some bank out there for their personal pleasure. M

Pump sarin gas into the tunnels! Dead clowns everywhere. Simple!
Wellington says
That’s one option, Buraq. Another I have wondered about is digging a moat deep and wide enough along the entire Gaza/Israeli border that would make any tunnel a virtual impossibilty. As near as I have been able to calculate this would be about 35-40 miles of moat, not an impossibility, though I do not have the engineering expertise to provide specifics on this proposal. Gaza would then be left with only a small land border (some 8-10 miles) with Egypt.
umbra says
Those will have to be very deep moats/trenches to make deeper terror tunnels impractical or too expensive to build and use.

Make a good place to store radioactive waste. Israel should offer to dispose of the nuclear waste from Europe´s power stations and dump it the Gaza tunnels. What’s that old saying about killing two birds with one stone. ???

Long ago, enmity was established between those who would wish to serve God and those who would willingly serve satan (Genesis 3:15). It continues in this present day until the time for satan to be crushed.

World ignores Hamas boasts of continued jihad tunnel-digging
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a despicable situation since the majority of our world leaders are cowards when it comes to islam & company …
But we can be certain that Benjamin Netanyahu is not ignoring what boastful and evil Hamas are doing. Netanyahu is the only man courageous enough to be the kind of leader Israel and the world needs right now! …I sure love and admire that man.
Wellington says
I too admire Netanyahu, Champ. Too bad he has almost no Western leader to cover his back right now, though I would make an exception for Prime Minister Harper of Canada who, I think, knows what is truly at stake where Israel is concerned and is the kind of person who can be considered a reliable ally. God knows Barack Obama could never be considered such.
Ima Freeman says
I believe Tony Abbott (Australia) has also shown his cajones vis a vis the islamists. Believe it or not, my dear Wellington, I am beginning to see “somewhat” of a realization in certain of our countries. Canada, Australia, perhaps New Zealand. At the very least, we’re starting to talk about it, which is a good sign. I don’t know what it’s like in the States as I don’t generally watch American news, although it can’t help filtering up here in the North.
Some of my Canadian compatriots can weigh in to verify/disclaim my view. I guess it will depend on where you live. I’ll be interested to see different opinions.
In the meantime, all the best to you and yours.
Right, the reckless West led by the United States. And by both political parties; both the Democrats and the Republicans are committed to the Palestinian jihad against Israel. Both support a Palestinian terror state.
Wellington says
But once again, wildjew, the Republicans support such a state only if it is a true democracy, demilitarized, recognizes Israel’s right to exist and is willing to live in peace alongside Israel. If I’m not mistaken, Benjamin Netanyahu and a vast majority of Israelis support such a Palestinian state as well IF those conditions I mentioned above were met (which, of course, they never will be, so taking such a position actually throws the ball back into the enemy’s camp and is a way of illustrating the intransigence of the Muslim-dominated, so-called Palestinians at no cost whatsoever).
wildjew says
Wellington, don’t get me wrong. November 4, I will vote for every Republican on the ballot. I am not suicidal.
Respectfully, your rationale for the Republican party’s formal goal of establishing a Palestinian-terror state (codified in our national party platform since August 2004) is a thin reed that many Republicans lean on. It WILL be a jihad state. Every thinking person knows a Palestinian Muslim state will be a terror state.
I was saddened when PM Netanyahu capitulated to pressure from Barack Obama (early 2009) by recognizing the Bush road map and the two state solution which he enunciated at University of Bar Ilan (June 14, 2009) days after Obama’s anti-Israel / pro-Islam address to the Muslim world in Cairo, Egypt. I am looking to a younger (idealistic) generation Wellington; to people like Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home party) who reject the idea of a Muslim-enemy state in Israel’s heartland. I admire these young people who can say Obama’s demand that Jews not live or build in parts of Israel is racist.
If Jewish Home caves, then I will look to others in Israel. Meanwhile both parties here in the U.S. are committed to Israel’s destruction. Make no mistake about it. That is what a “democratic, demilitarized” Palestinian state will mean to Israel. It will mean her destruction at the hands of Islam. That is what both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama supported in the 2012 election. Both support the genocidal Palestinian cause.
Will people like Ted Cruz take a different tack (approach)? Time will tell.
Wellington says
Once again, wildjew, the Republican Party of the US, which is actually the staunchest friend Israel has in the world (and thus I completely reject your contention that it is committed to Israel’s destruction), has put forth nothing more than what Israeli Jews have been putting forth and have been ready to accept since the late 1940s, to wit, a state alongside Israel that will live in true peace with it. But it’s all pro forma stuff since anyone with half a brain (this would exclude people like John Kerry) knows full well that what the so-called Palestinians want, along with heaps of other Muslims, is no Israel at all. So, since such a state has virtually no chance of coming into existence, it’s just all pro forma, diplomatic run-around stuff.
For the record, I think the Israelis made a big mistake though by not annexing all of the West Bank and Gaza right after the ’67 War and expelling the Arabs from those areas, much as the Czechs did to the Germans still living in the Sudetenland once WWII ended. Who could argue the present situation is better?
Georgia. says
I hope you meant the Israelis as being the fanatics, or don’t you consider the Palestinians as being humans
dumbledoresarmy says
Oh, I regard the local Arab Muslims – those who live in and around Israel – as humans…But I also have come to the conclusion that many and probably most of them, given – for example – their habit of hysterically celebrating whenever one of their number succeeds in, say, murdering a Jewish infant, are *evil* humans.
The Jews of Israel are not fanatics. Even the most fervently observant never come anywhere *near* the level of sheer rabid craziness that the circumambient Muslims all too often display.
Whereas many – probably most – of the local Arab Muslims *are* or are only too prone to become violently murderous toward and cruelly oppressive of any non-Muslims over whom they gain the ascendancy. And that was the case throughout all the centuries that transpired between the 7th century – when armed Muslims first invaded, seized and then imperially occupied formerly Byzantine-ruled Christian, Jewish, Samaritan “Palestine” – and the mid-20th century, when the sovereign Jewish state of Israel was reestablished on just a part part of what had been for millennia Jewish traditional land.
Of the local Christians – some Armenian, some called Arab , some of various other backgrounds – some are dutiful dhimmis who serve the Cause of Islam, doing the bidding of their Muslim bosses; but some, the most intelligent and moral, are “breaking ranks”, defying the dhimma, and throwing in their lot with the Jews of Israel within whose country they are far, far safer and freer than any other Christian community of the so-called “Middle East”.
As I mentioned to pongidae rex above:
A neutron bomb introduced into Gaza and the West Bank would be a good start. I am so sick of this shit, it is time someone with balls (eg., Reagan, Thatcher, Churchill, Jefferson, et al), like Stephen Harper, called a spade a spade and showed these MFs what’s for. Then we should have a serious chat with our “allies” the Saudis, Quataris, Pakistanis, ET AL, and lay down the law!!!!
Canada has just had a murder of an armed forces member, ala Lee Rigby in London, by a convert to Islam. Thankfully, he was shot and killed by police. But where are the massive protests by muslims against such violence? (crickets chirping!)
It is time people of conscience stopped being afraid of talking about the real threat of islam. Stop considering your muslim friends as true representatives of the true, vile nature of islam! There is no “radical” islam. There is only “islam.”
There is no benign version of islam that says, “Oh, treat your neighbours and minorities with love and respect. And while you’re at it, love your wife and allow those who wish to love and cohabitate with members of the same sex live in peace and love. And if people wish to praise another God or no god at all, that’s fine, too.” There is only ONE islam, and that is the one we are confronted with RIGHT NOW, and frankly, I am sick and tired of apologists and muslims telling me that islam is a F*****G religion of PEACE, when we know it is anything BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF is wrong with everybody (present company excluded!)
Even our right-wing media (Sun News) continually refers to “radical” islam, or “extremists.” They are MUSLIM, and I wouldn’t trust one as far as I could throw one! And that’s my two cents, for now.
