Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Armistice Day 2014

Nov 11, 2014 10:17 am By Robert Spencer

Veterans’ Day is November 11 because on November 11, 1918, the Armistice between the Allies and the Central Powers took effect. World War I had been more peculiar, unnecessary and pointless than most wars, but from it comes many lingering features of the American and international political landscape: the messianic idea of “making the world safe for democracy,” even for people who don’t value democracy or want it; the powder keg of a web of global alliances that can be touched off into a worldwide conflagration by a minor incident; the repeated recourse to failed analyses and refusal to reexamine them, no matter how often and spectacularly they fail; the stigmatizing of all opposition and even outright restrictions on the freedom of speech to crush dissent; and more.

Yet in other ways the military landscape of World War I was profoundly different from that of conflicts today. During the Christmas truce of 1914, the British, French and German soldiers came out of their trenches and exchanged Christmas greetings. In some places they even exchanged gifts and played games together. They respected each other as human beings. They recognized that they shared the same values. Yet this was infrequently repeated in subsequent Christmases; the bitterness of war overwhelmed any impulse to see the opponent as a person worthy of respect.

In today’s conflict with Islamic jihad, the jihadis likewise do not respect their non-Muslim foes. The Infidels are “the most vile of created beings” (Qur’an 98:6) while the Muslims are “the best of peoples” (Qur’an 3:110). There is no sense of shared values. Yet the leaders and opinion makers among the non-Muslims do not understand or accept this. They continue to believe that gestures of good will will be appreciated and reciprocated. They continue to think that their own careful displays of respect for the values and principles of the jihadis will be received with something other than amused contempt. They continue to send their young soldiers into the Afghanistan meat grinder, imagining that they’re winning hearts and minds by forcing our soldiers to train their “allies” who, in appallingly increasing numbers, turn on them and murder them as soon as they have the opportunity.

Meanwhile, the same leaders and opinion makers insist that groups holding the same goal held by those who have declared their hatred for, and indeed their state of war against, the United States, but who pursue this goal by non-military means, are not our enemies at all, but our friends and allies, who should be encouraged in every way and afforded access to the corridors of power. Some, but not all, of them may dimly realize that in doing so they’re endangering Americans and America itself, but by the time they see this clearly, it may well be too late. For those groups seeking the same goal as that of the jihadis — the submission of Infidel states to the rule of Islamic law — have, with willing help from the mainstream media, stigmatized all resistance to this agenda as “racism” and “bigotry.” Few are willing to brave the stigma, and those who do are widely derided and disregarded: while the jihadis and Islamic supremacists advance ever more aggressively and confidently, those who sound the alarm are increasingly unheeded.

As a result, numerous Constitutional and societal principles, including that of equality of rights for all, with no special privileges for individual groups, and the freedom of speech, are being assailed by forces that are increasingly assertive and confident. The mainstream media, government, and law enforcement do not resist those forces, but aid and abet them.

The record of the “War on Terror,” or the resistance to jihad, since 2001 is a record of failures caused by false analyses enacted as policy, and that is worse than ever. Still, the last chapter hasn’t yet been written. As long as free people still draw air, there is hope. But only if we don’t give up now, but work all the harder, and solidify our determination to resist tyranny.

Today, then, we should remember and be grateful to those who gave their lives to secure and protect these freedoms for us, and resolve not to throw away without a fight those freedoms for which they died. We should remember that if we are not willing to give our own lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor to protect the unalienable rights enumerated at the founding of this Republic, we will most assuredly lose both them and the Republic itself — lose them for ourselves and for our children.

And we are far closer to that than most people realize.

Let us never shrink from the task before us: the great struggle to defend human rights, human dignity, and freedom from oppression and injustice — particularly the oppression and injustice, and assaults to human dignity that are enshrined in the Islamic law (Sharia) that is coming, step-by-step, steadily and apparently inexorably, to an ever more ignorant and indifferent West.

Happy Veterans’ Day.

    Veterans Day to some, Remembrance Day to others, it is a day to reflect upon sacrifices made. Here is a video I found on YouTube of a song by Mark Knopfler which I found very in keeping with the spirit of the day. Thank-you to those who have served honorably and valiently in the struggle for the truth and for freedom. And may I say a thank-you to you also, Robert, for your part in the ongoing struggle.

    They need to be blamed and held up to ridicule because they will never hold themselves accountable or blame themselves.

    This is also the islamic mentality. Never blame themselves rather the rest of the world for their misery. M

    No. They need to face justice and, if convicted of high treason, EXECUTED.

    Can someone smarter than me and more well versed in this death cult known as islam care to comment about these Hadith passages? I am never shocked about anything I read about islam, but I find these passages hilarious. How authentic are these hadith passages?

    He (the Prophet) lift up his (al Hasan’s) shirt & kissed his (little) penis..”
    روى أنه صلى الله عليه و سلم قبل زبيبة الحسن أو الحسين
    He (the prophet) kissed the (little) penis of al Hasan or al Husein
    رأيت النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم فرج ما بين فخذي الحسين و قبل زبيبته
    He (the prophet) put Husein’s legs apart & kissed his (little) penis

    Another Hadith. Majma al-Zawa’id, Ali ibn Abu Bakr al-Haythami, 299/9 مجمع الزوائد لعلي بن أبى بكر الهيثمي

    رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم فرج ما بين فخذي الحسين و قبل زبيبته
    رواه الطبراني و إسناده حسن
    translated in English: “I saw the Messenger of Allah pbuh putting Husein’s legs apart & kissing his (little) penis.”
    Related by Al-Tabarani & it’s authentication is good.

      The question for the war of ideas theater of the Counter-Jihad is how authentic that hadith is — which collection does it derive from (any of the “sahih” hadiths?). Additionally useful would be evidence of its continued use today in the Muslim world in terms of pedagogy (not to mention pedo-gogy…).

          I forget where I found the hadith passage, it might have been on the site Salah linked up down below. I was mocking a stealth jihadist on breitbart earlier and I remembered that hadith passage because it was funny, so I used it when I was giving him evidence about how messed up his death cult is. This stealth jihadist used the usual spiel about jesus being honored in islam and how the Islamic State has nothing to do with islam.

        Ok, that is why I asked. When debating stealth jihadists and their liberal dhimmi slaves I’d rather be armed with facts. I just used it because it was funny, and I figured it would upset the enemy thus why I used it. I’ll just go back to using other facts everyt ime a stealth jihadists types lies on the keyboard.

      Hi Darren, you’ll find links to the islamic sources here:

      As for your question about “enjoying …”, I don’t have an answer to that. I’m only reporting/translating what is written in their “holy” books.
      Arabic is my first language and I know my translations are accurate.

        Thank you for your reply. I was just wondering how true the passage was since I used it in a debate with a stealth jihadist on the breitbart website. I could cite mountains of other evidence instead of using that Hadith passage, but I found it funny, and I wanted to make him angry if I could by citing it.

    The majority seem unable or unwilling to recognize the new global threat to liberty, perhaps because it comes in a much different form than past global conflicts.

    No massed military forces, no nationalistic rhetoric, instead a stealthy, slow motion usurpation of civility and a suppression of free thought, all cloaked in a disguise of “holiness” and “justice for minorities”. Yet our values are being trampled by these insidious forces just as much as they would be by a military invasion.

    Islam has no shame in proselytizing it’s despicable values. Neither should we in defending our superior views on freedom, tolerance and justice.

    WORLD WAR I “THE WAR TO END ALL WARS”

    just won’t end and go away . Today’s strife-torn Middle East sprung out of that conflict, as did the Soviet Union-and Putin’s attempt to restore it. WWI started 100 years ago but we still live in its shadow. It caused a second world war. Will it cause a third? That could be the “war to end all wars” and all life in this world.

      Never again huh? Funny you say that. Tell the rest of the people of your faith waging jihad across the globe that. I’m sure some Coptic Christians being slaughtered in Egypt, or some high school students being blown up in Nigeria would love to hear that phrase. I’m sure what you mean to say is something else entirely. If you follow the word of allah and his prophet then you agree with jihad and waging jihad on unbelievers.

      The world is divided into the House of Islam and the House of War, the Dar al-Islam and the Dar al-harb. The Dar al-Islam is all those lands in which a Muslim government rules and the Holy Law of Islam prevails. Non-Muslims may live there on Muslim sufferance. The outside world, which has not yet been subjugated, is called the “House of War,” and strictly speaking a perpetual state of jihad, of holy war, is imposed by the law. The law also provided that the jihad might be interrupted by truces as and when appropriate. In fact, the periods of peace and war were not vastly different from those which existed between the Christian states of Europe for most of European history.

      The law thus divides unbelievers theologically into those who have a book and profess what Islam recognizes as a divine religion and those who do not; politically into dhimmis, those who have accepted the supremacy of the Muslim state and the primacy of the Muslims, and harbis, the denizens of the Dar al-harb, the House of War, who remain outside the Islamic frontier, and with whom therefore there is in principle, a canonically obligatory perpetual state of war until the whole world is either converted or subjugated.

      A rather revolting comment expressed by “rezali mehil”, a mohammedan slave of allah/satan; especially since mohammedans detest *FREEDOM OF SPEECH*, or freedom in any form. By definition islam means ‘submission’, and that’s submission to the evil tenets of islam. So essentially repulsive “rezali” is dancing on the graves of our brave and beloved veterans.

      Hey, I must ask, where is “rezali’s” sarc tag that generally follows blatant sarcasm? And she may pretend to be sincere, but of course we all know that she is not.

      Vile “rezali’s” offering is disgusting and *most* unwelcome, especially today.

        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        Note the pernicious projection from the profoundly disengenuous “rezali”, who constantly reminds us of her own vile agenda: to promote evil islam on the pages of JW.
        My only “agenda” is to state the ugly TRUTH about islam and company and to expose mohammedans for what they are: conniving and evil. Yeah, never, ever trust a muslim …especially not “rezali mehil”. No way.
        More from revolting “rezali”:
        I am not going to argue with you on this day where many Muslim soldiers fought shoulder to shoulder with your grandfathers against scum who later went on to become Nazis.
        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

        Not surprising that she defends fellow mohammedans–first and foremost; along with the indefensible islam, and then she proceeds to call-out Nazi’s, but fails to see the devil within her own soul and fellow followers of satan: islam.

        “There’s none so blind as those who will not see” …this certainly applies to mohammedans, yes?

        Wow the pious double standards of muslims are tremendous and never-ending …

        But “rezali’s” gross remarks CAN be very instructive.

    Spencer points out one misapprehension among our PC MC elites that makes this current world war we are in different from previous wars:

    “…the same leaders and opinion makers insist that groups holding the same goal held by those who have declared their hatred for, and indeed their state of war against, the United States, but who pursue this goal by non-military means, are not our enemies at all, but our friends and allies, who should be encouraged in every way and afforded access to the corridors of power…”

    This is true, but this same problem is broader than this formulation expresses. Not only is the enemy a broader demographic than merely terrorists and jihadists on the conventional battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan (and occasionally elsewhere, as in Mali, for example) in terms of the stealth jihad groups Spencer refers to; the enemy demographic is broader still, expanding out systemically to Muslims in general — anywhere, any time, seemingly friendly and not just ostensibly foe. Not necessarily “all” Muslims, but unfortunately not delimited by any known parameters we can assess.

    For more features of this world war we are in that make it unique and incomparable to previous wars (among which is that one side — our side — for the most part doesn’t even know it’s in a world war!), see my essay:

    Asymmetrical World War

    Let’s never, ever, forget the American Military Cemeteries inside Europe, among all of the American Military Cemeteries.

    Think what might have happened without American interventions in Europe starting in 1917 and lasting throughout the whole of the 1940’s, 1950’s, 1960’s and continuing to the present day. Think also about the crucial non-bloody contributions from America such as Lend-Lease and the Marshall Plan, and the Cold War Umbrella, financing N.A.T.O. and the sometimes erratic United Nations.

    Let the Muslims argue among themselves about their Colonial Era contributions. Let’s try to forget Muslims altogether over Armistice Days, Veterans Days, and Remembrance Days. They’re trying to insert themselves gradually into every nook and cranny of our Western Civilization which they vow to subjugate and destroy.

    Muslims have not a single ecumenical bone in their collective body.
