“War is deceit,” said Muhammad. “Exclusive: Hamas bombed Fatah officials’ homes and faked ISIS claim of responsibility,” by Noam Rotenberg, Jerusalem Post, November 13, 2014:
November 7th explosions were conducted by the Hamas military branch, and were not coordinated with the political branch, a western intelligence source revealed.
A Western intelligence source speaking exclusively to The Jerusalem Post on Thursday revealed that it was Hamas that bombed homes and vehicles belonging to Fatah officials in Gaza last Friday, and made sure to forge a false claim of responsibility by the Islamic State in Gaza.
The source also revealed that the incident – that caused damage but no injuries – was conducted by Hamas’s military branch, the Izz ad-Din al-Kassam Brigades without a prior “heads-up” to the political leaders of Hamas.
“We will not allow the return of internal conflicts, chaos and anarchy to the Gaza Strip,” Hamas spokesman Eyad Al-Bozom said at the time of the blasts.
“The security services will pursue anyone who had any connection to these criminal acts until they are brought to justice,” he added.
The intelligence source said such activities may form a pattern of operation conducted by Hamas when it wants to hurt its rivals without being blamed….

1. A shame none of the Fatah people were killed.
2. Perhaps Fatah will now take revenge and kill Hamas people.
Note, I use the term people loosely. In my view, a civil war in Gaza and the West Bank-Fatah vs. Hamas, with a let no one stand ( and both sides do so) would be great for Middle East peace; world peace and the gene pool. ISS could join in-perhaps on Fatah side; and jihadist from the US & Europe who despise Israel because of what Israel did-in self defense, in Gaza, can join Hamas. And, again, let no one be left alive.

Oliver, with regard to your comments:
1) Agreed.
2) Let us pray for it.
Note: A war between Hamas and Fatah might give the EU, US and other donor nations pause in resupplying Hamas since at least some of the aid will not be used to destroy Israel but rather other Palestinian “freedom fighters”. Iran supplies Hamas with high powered rockets so if such a war between the two groups occurs, Iran would be seen as an enemy of Fatah, thus possibly inducing some Fatah members to go to Syria/Lebanon to fight Hizbollah. Oh my, in the game of jihad, everyone just seems to be fighting everyone else. Do they even have a purpose?

What is interesting to note here is that even as Hamas attacks Fatah, the military branch of Hamas has also sent a message to the political branch of Hamas which basically says that within the Hamas organization, the different branches are not united and can therefore also turn on each other.
Let us hope that they do.

Terrence, I think this “rift” is basically a ruse—the best “cya” that Hamas could come up with in a pinch.
But I agree—even if this *were* true, it would not be a good sign.
In either case, I would *hope*t that this would give the West pause. But then, when has the West ever demanded any decency or accountability from the “Palestinians”?
One small point—Iran has cut off funding for Hamas, when Hamas, being majority Sunni, refused to side with Assad in Syria.
“Sunni-Shi’ite lovefest shaken: Iran cuts Hamas funding over Syria”

That means that Hamas essentially sided with the forces that would lead to the Islamic State—which didn’t, of course, prevent them from throwing them under the bus by trying to frame them for the attack on Fatah, of course.
This might be in part because the Islamic State has refused to support Hamas in their attempts to destroy Israel, because they are focusing on attacking the United States first:

There is no honor among Jihadists…but then, why would there be?

Hamas has many enemies in the regions: Fatah, Israel and Egypt. But it has a lot of friends in the West!

Genocidal Jihadists targeting genocidal Jihadists, while blaming it on other genocidal Jihadists.
I guess this is the fabled “peace of Islam” we keep hearing so much about…
And how is that “Palestinian unity” doing? I had rather wondered if it could come back from Hamas’ ruthless slaughter of Fatah members in Gaza when Hamas took over there.
And where did the beleaguered Fatah members turn? Why, to the supposedly ‘brutal’ Israelis, who let them escape into Israel on their way back to the “West Bank”.
Fatah complain of long waits at Israeli security checkpoints, though…even when Jews were saving them from the savagery of their murderous coreligionists, they could not be gracious about it. No surprise there.
And now this…
More:
“The security services will pursue anyone who had any connection to these criminal acts until they are brought to justice,” he added.

Does *anyone* believe this—that the Izz ad-Din al-Kassam Brigades worked without the approval of even the knowledge of Hamas itself?
The best thing we can hope for it that Fatah and Hamas openly turn on each other, and maybe leave civilized Israel alone for a bit.

Well, nobody with two brain cells to rub together. But no doubt the UN will swallow it whole, without even a hiccup.
