After Spain decided to deport ex-Muslim human rights activist Imran Firasat to a Muslim country, where he would face certain death, he fled to Norway — but instead of giving him refuge, Norwegian authorities sent him back to Spain. Imran Firasat is guilty of nothing but insulting Islam, which is ostensibly not (yet) a crime in the West. But he has been held for months now in solitary confinement in Spain, and Spain is planning to send him to Indonesia, where he will almost certainly be imprisoned and probably murdered for his “blasphemy.”
Here is a letter he wrote in prison in Spain (click to enlarge)

What an injustice and shame !
If a Muslim insults a Non – Muslim it’s ok and tolerated when even not supported – what world we are living in ???

Deeply disturbing. Is there anywhere I can find out more reliable information about Imran? I see Indonesia wants him for murder, is there any basis for this?
Steffen Larsen says
It is very difficult to get to the bottom of this story. Even a Jakarta Globe article is from a European news agency. If he really is wanted for a rather gruesome murder, and Indonesian police can present som convincing evidence for this, one would think that authorities in Spain and Norway would have him sent to Indonesia right away.

Steffan
It is not so easy to deport him to Indonesia, as Indonesia has the death penalty for murder, and Spain will not deport because of this.
What is going on just now is Spain and Indonesia are making arrangements so that Firasat does not have to face the Death Penalty

Come to Romania! We’re not that rich, but we love our freedoms
pumbar says
True, why on Earth he chose to flee to a Scandinavian country is beyond me.
Radu says
Mihai, we should organize and solidify the romanian community against islamisation. I’m rather surprised to see so many romanian names around. Than again, we know from our history what it means to leave under islamic tyranny. Any suggestions on how we could do that?
Radu says
I have just created a facebook group – https://www.facebook.com/groups/SION.Ro/ Feel free to join and Tell any other romanians about it, should you be willing
pumbar says
Do it, and the best of luck from this Englishman.

Maybe he might seek asylum in the UK.
If the British government can accept loads of returning jihadi terrorists back into the UK surely they can make room for one ex-Muslim human rights activist.

This is the same Spain that is re-homing the tens of thousands of Muslim “asylum seekers” and “refugees” that are swarming into Spain from North Africa, on anything that floats, EVERY YEAR !!!!!!!!

I am writing my representatives. Why is he not seeking asylum in the USA?

Actually, criticizing Islam *is* a crime in the West, either explicitly or tacitly. Most Western Europe countries have some form of statutory prohibition against speech or acts deemed defamatory or insulting to Islam/Muslims. Since it is impossible to make factual statements about Islam without saying things that are offensive to Muslims and multiculturists who can file charges against you for doing so, criticizing Islam there is quite risky. While criticizing Islam is not specifically outlawed in the USA, you saw what happened to the Egyptian Copt who made the Muhammad movie, and the demonizing of critics of Islam like Ayaan Hirsi.

“Since it is impossible to make factual statements about Islam without saying things that are offensive to Muslims ”
How true, the facts concerning Islam are so hideous anyone would find them offensive. The Islamic cult is perhaps the easiest to expose as all you have to do is look at it, listen to what they are saying and see what they are doing, it falls under the weight of it’s own hypocrisy.

Guest And Edison,
You both said it accurately and beautifully!

The movie maker was not jailed for blasphemy, it was a violation of his probation and political blaming (primarily by Hillary) that got him jailed. Hillary if elected, may make moves to limit (destroy) free speech since she sympathizes with the UN Mahoundians of OIC about criticizing Islam.

insulting Islam IS i crime in many european countries.

Apparently, Allah has stolen the soul of Spain…again…The last time they had o fight to get it back…maybe this time there is no fight in them…

SPAIN, you are fvcking INSANE! I hope their King intervenes somehow and disgraces all the political class of imbeciles that make-up every democratically elected government.

The sorrow and the pity….What does the Spanish rank and file have to say?
With the Saudis using their considerable financial leverage to scar anyone and everyone, academic, government, business…Spain and Europe are lost
Let us hope that the debate is brought into the open in the US election–Hilary Clinton seeks a world where Blasphemy against Islam is illegal as we have seen in her work at the UN supporting the OIS and their definition of “human rights”. This is straight out of 1984.

People really need to start paying attention to this insanity.

Spain, Norway, and most other countries in the West are being led by cowards who don’t appreciate the crucial value of individual rights such as freedom of speech. They’ve been turned into relativistic cowards who don’t have the courage of their convictions because they don’t *have* any convictions. Believing in appeasement can’t qualify as a conviction; it’s the enemy of conviction.
We need to shame our leaders for this cowardice and moral emptiness, and find leasers with spines and a love of liberty.

The new Norwegian government that took over after 8 years of socialistic mal-government (during which the Norwegian share of the population declined by 8%), was left in a bind with him seeking asylum. Frp, the Progress Party, having been elected on a curb-illegal immigration platform (altho a junior partner in the government) couldn’t just well admit him in, when he broke the rules that blatantly, according to the Dublin Convention. Even tho I completely agree it would be the right thing to do.

I am an American who loves all things about the History of Christian Europe and the great civilization they created. It just makes me so depressed to see what is happening. Norway and Sweden grant Asylum to total savages that openly say they want to take over and implement sharia and yet this poor guy should be sent back to Indonesia to be killed for Blasphemy. It is really sick!

Hi I have been reading all the posts. I really can understand the degree of anger Justin has for what has been going on. I think we can now understand why the Crusades occurred as Christians have been persecuted by Islam for many years. Although it seemed as though the jihad was dormant for along time. It is now rearing it’s ugly head again. I will now be praying for Imran as I have been for all our persecuted brothers and sisters all over the middle east, Africa, Indonesia and all of Asia actually. I do not know why God is allowing this as I think we here in the west have been more neglectful to Him and have been showered with so many blessings we take for granted. I can only imagine what Justin and Imran have witnessed. Many have been called to martyrdom both during the last century and now and even in the beginning of the Church. The only consultation I can think of is what we are told in scripture that we will be persecuted just as the prophets of old. (MT. 5:12) It seems that long ago the enemies of Christ choose beheading (John the Baptist)and crucifixion (Jesus) as their weapons of terror they continue to do so even to this day. Muslims expect to have many virgins waiting for them upon their so called “martyrdom” but we are told that those who die for Christ will spend eternity in perfect happiness before the throne of God (Rev. 7 : 13-17). That being said I think Spain, of all places, should give refuge to Imran.

This is exactly the sort of person the West should be giving asylum to—instead of hordes of murderous supremacist Muslims. Suicidal madness…
