It’s the same story over and over: Hamas-linked CAIR tries to stifle honest discussion of Islam and Sharia, and defame those who dare to tell the truth about it. This time, they didn’t win. But one thing is certain: they will keep trying. American officials in all fields need to understand that the kind of smear campaign that is described in this article is a regular feature, not an aberration, accompanying every attempt to tell the truth about these issues — and knowing that, these officials need to be strong enough to stand for the truth against these campaigns, and allow these events to proceed. But that is not likely to happen.
“A Lesson on Free Speech and Sharia in Knoxville,” by Andrew Harrod, FrontPage, November 4, 2014:
A recent legal victory by Freedom X upheld the right of private citizens to discuss openly sharia law at a Knoxville, Tennessee, high school. “This is a victory for free speech,” Freedom X’s President William J. Becker rightly explained, in yet another instructive example of Islamists seeking to subvert the United States Constitution’s First Amendment….

Andrew Harrod is a superb counter-jihad truth teller, with a long resume of articles in various publications and media venues.
Highly recommended for times when you want even more depth about Allah’s Army, its methods and pathology.

PARAGRAPH 8 QOUTES PART OF THE SUPREME COURT’S 1969 OPINION IN TINKER V. DES MOINES SCHOOL DISTRICT.
I urge you to read those magnificent words about freedom of speech . . . An excellent antidote to discouragement regarding the challenge we face from CAIR and its pals.
And please keep them on hand for times when your OWN localities’ clueless privilege-guilt administrators and principals are intimidated by the goons from Hell.

Let’s just give the forum the verbatim quote…shall we?
In 1969, the U.S. Supreme Court held in Tinker v. Des Moines Sch. Dist. that
“in our system, undifferentiated fear or apprehension of disturbance is not enough to overcome the right to freedom of expression. Any departure from absolute regimentation may cause trouble. Any variation from the majority’s opinion may inspire fear. Any word spoken, in class, in the lunchroom, or on the campus, that deviates from the views of another person may start an argument or cause a disturbance. But our Constitution says we must take this risk and our history says that it is this sort of hazardous freedom — this kind of openness — that is the basis of our national strength and of the independence and vigor of Americans who grow up and live in this relatively permissive, often disputatious, society.”

“the right of private citizens to discuss openly sharia law ”
What a chillingly Orwellian phrase that is!
And to think these issues actually make it to a court. It should have been ‘laughed out of off court.’ Which is say it should not have been in court in the first. So I do not see it as “a victory for free speech” at all. I have higher standards and expectations.
Scary

Sharia law forbids a kafir to ‘mention’ anything about Islam or its prophet.
No kafir (disbeliever) may even quote a statement from Islamic literature, let alone DISCUSS IT reasonably or submit it to CRITICAL ANALYSIS.

May we have an honest discussion about things that are wrong with Islam AS A PHILOSOPHY?
Here’s a partial List of Bad Things about Islam:
1 No Golden Rule 2 No free speech 3 No democracy 4 Jihad – holy war of supremacism 5 Honour killings 6 Taqiyya – sacred lying 7 Taqlid – group think 8 Misogyny – repression of women 9 Rape of kafirs as jihad 10 Genocide 11 Ethnic cleansing 12 Al-Walaa wal-Baraa – apartheid 13 Torture 14 Plundering 15 Cruel and unusual punishments 16 Backwardness and pre-Enlightenment thinking 17 Violence against women 18 Slavery

Thanks, moritimer, for another one of your concise posts regarding the R.O.P. I copied & pasted it to Ibe Hooper, so he can reply with “But, on the other hand . . .”.
That answer might take a few days, however, because nowadays CAIR communicates strictly by pigeon.
There are still lots of nosey guys at intel centers who refuse to fuel up on Leftist rotgut, running instead on a patriotic obligation which Allah’s cheerleaders just don’t seem to understand.
Stuart says
“In the realm of religious faith, and in that of political belief, sharp differences arise. In both fields the tenets of one man may seem the rankest error to his neighbor. To persuade others to his own point of view, the pleader, as we know, at times, resorts to exaggeration, to vilification of men who have been, or are, prominent in church or state, and even to false statement. But the people of this nation have ordained in the light of history, that, in spite of the probabilities of excesses and abuses, these liberties are in the long view, essential to enlightened opinion and right conduct on the part of the citizens of a democracy.”

Thank you, Stuart —
Am I the only old curmudgeon commenting here at JW who believes that — with few exceptions in the last 20 years or thereabouts — the Supreme Court bench is, as the expression goes, “standing on the shoulders of giants” ??

“nowadays CAIR communicates strictly by pigeon. ”
As a descriptive term of the lame stream media, pigeon in a derogatory usage
is rather appropriate….

I knew Knoxville was in for trouble when they opened the East Knox Outreach Center especially when I saw the picture and the names associated with it. Rafiq Mahdi was one of the five men in the picture. I commented on this in the Knoxville paper at the time of publication. Now here we are.
Here is a link that explains it better than I can. https://tn4politicaljustice.wordpress.com/category/tennessee-imams/rafiq-mahdi/

I am with you guys (mortimer- “bad things about Islam); but, what is up with more & more converts? How can more & more people (esp. WOMEN) keep being converted to Islam? I myself keep thinking why would anyone want to join up with these *%@#s, and thugs (to put it more politely), but yet they are getting more converts.
