Jihad Watch

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Brandeis students rally around student who wrote: “i have no sympathy for the nypd officers who were murdered”

Dec 23, 2014 1:48 pm By Robert Spencer

Khadijah LynchKhadijah Lynch (apparently named for Muhammad’s first wife), who is public in her support for the murderous violence committed by the Islamic jihadist Ismaaiyl Abdullah-Muhammad in Brooklyn, is a new hero on the Brandeis University campus. Meanwhile, students are attacking the intrepid Daniel Mael, who exposed Khadijah Lynch’s hateful writings. This in a nutshell is what’s wrong with American universities today: hatred for America and Judeo-Christian civilization is taught and celebrated, and those who defend humane values are excoriated and threatened. Opposition to jihad terror is likewise stigmatized as “racism” and “bigotry.”

“Students Rally Around Peer With ‘No Sympathy’ For Dead Cops At $60,000-A-Year Brandeis,” by Eric Owens, Daily Caller, December 22, 2014:

Students at Brandeis University spent Monday effusively supporting Khadijah Lynch, their fellow student who took to Twitter to celebrate the brutal, execution-style murder of two New York Police Department officers this weekend.

“i have no sympathy for the nypd officers who were murdered today,” Lynch had spouted on Saturday afternoon.

“lmao, all i just really dont have sympathy for the cops who were shot. i hate this racist fucking country,” the junior also tweeted.

Another Brandeis student, Daniel Mael, publicized these and other fanatical tweets from Lynch’s then-public Twitter account on Truth Revolt.

On Monday, a throng of angry Brandeis students criticized Mael. Some suggested that the Brandeis administration should punish him for citing Lynch’s public tweets.

Brandeis senior Michael Piccione, a member of the 2014-15 student conduct board, sent an urgent email to the president of Brandeis, senior administrators, radical leftist professors and students. The email — entitled “VERY IMPORTANT: Holding Daniel Mael accountable, and other threats to student safety!” — claimed that “Mael has exposed Khadijah to the largely white supremacist following of the website.” (The website to which Piccione refers is Truth Revolt.)

For reporting about Khadijah’s vile tweets, Piccione declared, Mael “has potentially violated multiple parts” of a Brandeis code of student conduct including “stalking.”

“Khadijah specifically requested that her personal comments be removed from the website and the article in question taken down, but her wishes were ignored,” the student conduct board member also whined.

Piccione’s lament refers to Lynch telling Truth Revolt that her public tweets are her “own personal opinion.” Lynch had threatened that she does not want her tweets “publicized in any form and if you do not abide my wishes i constitute your disregard as slander.”

Lynch does not appear to understand the difference between slander, which is spoken, and libel, which is written. Her fellow students at Brandeis appear similarly unable to comprehend this distinction.

On the Brandeis Class of 2017 OFFICIAL page, a closed Facebook group, sophomore William Amara has written: “I am sorry that Khadijah has to put up with these fucking assholes publishing (and likely distorting) her private opinions to further incite racial hatred and oppression. I hope the university will stand with you if these cocksuckers cause things to escalate further.”

Amara calls the quoting of Khadijah’s tweets “slander.”

Clifton Joseph Masdea also calls the publication of Khadijah’s tweets “slanderous.” In addition, after asserting that Truth Revolt is home to “racist a-holes,” Masdea calls Mael’s publication of Lynch’s tweets “a classic case of cyberbullying.”…

This is very close to soliciting murder of all police officers. The lack of denunciation shows the lack of critical thought and moral courage on campus. Those are the traditional goals of education.

This is the result of the Marxist ‘critical theory’ and how it encourages minds to be eclipsed by unthinking rage in order to stampede barbarians to burn, murder and destroy.

Just quoting someone is neither libel or slander. Obviously, the muslim definition of slander is being used by these *students* at this very expensive university. Obvious also….they need dictionaries and a through understanding of islam. A tweaking of their moral compass would be very good thing too. Maybe replace their compass altogether.

And if a Brandeis student had taken to Twitter to denounce Islam as a horrible death cult, a religion which is deeply misogynistic and which is possessed of heinous doctrines like death for apostasy and severe harm or death for anyone who criticizes Islam, the Koran or Mohammed and respecting which doctrines no school of Islamic theology to the present day, Sunni or Shiite, has denounced, and these communications were made public by another Brandeis student, then I take it the Brandeis community would rally around the student who posted severe criticisms of Islam. Yes, of course the Brandeis community would, now wouldn’t they?

Higher education in America is becoming more and more of a farce (and an hypocrisy) with each passing year. University and college campuses have become islands of Orwellian, totalitarian thinking and indoctrination. Yes, it’s this bad and it’s probably going to become even worse. The Sixties unleashed a massive and mostly mindless assault on the establishment, common sense and traditional virtues (including patriotism) and the people now running higher education in America are, in very large numbers, persons who have been corrupted by so much of the rot the Sixties’ spawned. Brandeis is a front and center example here.

From the fairy tale that is the Brandeis Mission Statement,

Brandeis was founded in 1948 as a nonsectarian university under the sponsorship of the American Jewish community to embody its highest ethical and cultural values and to express its gratitude to the United States through the traditional Jewish commitment to education. By being a nonsectarian university that welcomes students, teachers and staff of every nationality, religion and orientation, Brandeis renews the American heritage of cultural diversity, equal access to opportunity and freedom of expression.

The university that carries the name of the justice who stood for the rights of individuals must be distinguished by academic excellence, by truth pursued wherever it may lead and by awareness of the power and responsibilities that come with knowledge.

    And now its Diversity Statement.

Established in 1948 as a model of ethnic and religious pluralism, Brandeis University:

Considers social justice central to its mission as a nonsectarian university founded by members of the American Jewish community.
Aims to engage members of our community as active citizens in a multicultural world.
Seeks to build an academic community whose members have diverse cultures, backgrounds and life experiences.
Believes that diverse backgrounds and ideas are crucial to academic excellence.
Recognizes the need to analyze and address the ways in which social, cultural and economic inequalities affect power and privilege in the larger society and at Brandeis itself.
Honors freedom of expression and civility of discourse as fundamental educational cornerstones.
Seeks to safeguard the safety, dignity and well-being of all its members.
Endeavors to foster a just and inclusive campus culture that embraces the diversity of the larger society.

So the hateful and resentful racist, Khadijah Lynch has resigned her Undergraduate Department Representative (UDR) position at Brandeis. Score one for the champions of truth, liberty and equality.

But the cesspool that is the “African and Afro-American Studies (AAAS) Department” at Brandeis will continue to churn out, by the thousands, mean, hateful and resentful little racists who are her ideological brothers and sisters.

Consider the tenets of the African and Afro-American Studies Department “religion,” as espoused by Associate Professor and Chair, Chad Williams in his official response:

First his quote from James Baldwin:
“To be a Negro in this country and to be relatively conscious is to be in a rage almost all the time.”

    Chad explains:
“This means openly and honestly recognizing the very real pain and frustration that many young people of color struggle with in trying to navigate their place in a society that all too often delegitimizes their existence.”

    Chad continues:
“The frequent deaths of black men, women and children at the hands of law enforcement officials has received greater attention and long overdue heightened scrutiny in the aftermath of the Michael Brown and Eric Garner grand jury decisions.”

    Got it.

We have created a society that “delegitimizes the existence” of black people and we have instituted a police force that “frequently” kills black men, women and children. And it is “long overdue” that this situation is given greater attention and heightened scrutiny.

Programmed with such a view of America, it is quite understandable and predictable that Ms. Lynch would hold her stated opinion: “lmao, all i just really dont have sympathy for the cops who were shot. i hate this racist fucking country.”

And finally, to make sure everyone understands that while Ms. Lynch may have spoken “in the heat of the moment” she is the real victim here.

    Chad continues:
“The comments expressed by Ms. Lynch in no way excuse those made in response to her tweets, many of which have been horrifically racist, sexist, Islamophobic and threatening physical violence. These appalling comments should be condemned with even greater passion.”

So there you have it, you “horrifically racist, sexist, Islamophobic” white people should be “resoundingly condemned with even greater passion.”

The “African and Afro-American Studies (AAAS) Department” at Brandeis, a beacon of Truth and Light to the World.

Where, as Robert repeatedly points out, that slander in Islam is not about lying or telling the truth, it’s about saying something v someone doesn’t like. And then blaming the messenger. In islamic law, slander is not just telling lies about someone, but also telling something that, while true, someone doesn’t want others to know about. The best part about that statement (accusing them of slander if they don’t stop publicitizing her tweets) is that under current law, to constitute defamation, a claim needs to be false AND have been made to someone other than the person defamed. But Khadijah wants to accuse TR and Mael of slander for making what she said public.

This is something that needs wider dissemination. I learned this in the mid 80’s from a coworker who was trying to convert me. This is the reason why Muslims never condemn terrorist attacks or speak against any flavor of jihadist action. We need to stop with the “Why don’t they condemn terrorism?” line and realize that to do so would constitute slander in Islam, so it will never happen.

“In islamic law, slander is not just telling lies about someone, but also telling something that, while true, someone doesn’t want others to know about.”

Sadly, this is in effect the law in MOST COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE U.S. Truth is NOT necessarily a defense to defamation even in England. In addition, there are many other limitations on freedom of speech, e.g. to protect a person’s “honor.” Even speech directed ONLY at the person spoken about (“Idiot”) could give rise to liability for “insult.” More recently, Leftist supremacists have been very successful in criminalizing as “hate speech” statements critical of, erm, CERTAIN RELIGIONS (actually, only one religion).

The laws of continental European countries make much ado of the PRINCIPLE of freedom of speech, but in practice recognize numerous exceptions. Typically the onus is on a person who made a statement to PROVE that the statement was true, that it is not unnecessarily demeaning, etc. Even where this is possible, finding and presenting the necessarily proof is expensive.

In practice, all these exceptions to free speech principles serve to protect the spurious “honor” of wealthy and well-connected individuals and present an ideal legal mechanism for Muslim supremacists to latch onto in their fight against criticism of Islam (aka “Islamophobia).

      • voegelinian says

        Dec 24, 2014 at 7:44 pm

It’s important to add, however, that Muslims often get away with pretending to condemn terrorism, through their sly deployment of kitman — telling only part of the truth (“Islam is against terrorism defined as anyone who attacks Islam”) while leaving out crucial parts of the truth (“I am not going to condemn my fellow Muslims who are only fighting a jihad against ‘terrorism’…”). Thus, when Muslims condemn “terrorism” after an Islamic terror attack, they can jihad against two birds: 1) continue their Taqiyya Deception Jihad of the Pen, while 2) avoiding actual condemnation (including slander) of their co-religionists.

          P.S.:

“telling only part of the truth (“Islam is against terrorism defined as anyone who attacks Islam”) ”

          — and of course they truncate that part even further with their kitman:

“Islam is against terrorism.” (They may add further kitman frosting, such as “Islam is against the taking of innocent life”, etc. — which of course is crucially inflected by the unstated (and thus more kitman) special definition of “innocent” in the Islamic lexicon.

“Twitter comments by Brandeis undergraduate Khadijah Lynch (‘16) regarding the recent shooting [moslem ASSASSINATIONS] of two New York Police Department officers have received widespread media attention. Many of the responses to her ‘comments’, [VICIOUS RANTS] beginning with an article written by a fellow Brandeis student Daniel Mael (‘15) [naming him as ‘slander’ or a threat?] for the blog Truth Revolt, have noted that Ms. Lynch is a “student leader” [why the ‘quotes’? The comments of Ms. Lynch, made through her own PERSONAL [DELIBERATELY public, to vent her HATRED] Twitter account, do not reflect the views of AAAS as a department. But only AFTER we state our unequivocal support for the maleficent views of ONE OF OURS, a la Holder.

“Ms. Lynch has offered her resignation as an Undergraduate Department Representative for AAAS, which I have accepted.” [That’s it. Case closed. Move on folks. Nothing to see here]

“We are also ‘compassionate’* teachers, committed to the educational welfare of every Brandeis student that sits in our classes, regardless of race, gender, religion, sexuality or political ideology.”

Tell that to the Jews during BDS week.

“Ms. Lynch served ADMIRABLY in her capacity as a UDR and responsibly represented AAAS. She never disrespected a fellow student nor publicly promoted ideas that ran counter to the beliefs of the department.”

You find her views not disrespectful, interesting. And her ‘publicly promoted ideas’ are in accordance with the beliefs of the department? You mean ‘in accordance’ with ALL members of your department?
Or do you? Did you check with all the members? Or did you just issue that blanket statement like some antisemitic union leader?

Hey! Change the subject and play the victim card:

“In 1961, the great American writer James Baldwin POIGNANTLY noted that, “To be a Negro in this
country and to be relatively conscious is to be in a rage almost all the time.” [The only change now is that you don’t have to be conscious] While it may be easy and convenient at this emotionally charged moment to condemn Ms. Lynch, WE must also strive to understand why she would make these comments. [Cop-out warning! Blame everyone but her] This means openly and honestly recognizing the very real pain and frustration that many young people of color struggle with in trying to navigate their place in a society that all too often delegitimizes their existence.”

NO! Many ‘YPoC’ delegitimize their own existence. Those with CHARACTER, climb out of it, not play the blame game, like Allegator Sharptoon.

And you just LEGITIMIZED her aberrant and abhorrent hate. I wonder what she says about Jews (and Christians) in private?

How about change the subject again AND equivocate?

“We must mourn the unnecessary loss of life of a twelve year old unarmed boy in Cleveland with the same compassion as we do the death [MURDER] of a Brooklyn police officer.”

You worthless PoS, you had to put the ‘other’ first, and there were TWO police murdered. The Cleveland death was tragic, a kind of accident, the kid was waving around a real-looking gun which the police didn’t ‘investigate’. What if it were real? What if one or more police, or children were shot? What would the public say? And there have been killers in their young teens before. The Brooklyn MURDERS were cold-blooded and premeditated. Your attempted equivocation condemns you.

      Another ‘cop-out warning:

“However, with the click of a button, social media also can give comments expressed ‘in the heat
of the moment’ [A MONTH! At least from Nov 25 to Dec 21, that we know of] a potentially regrettable permanency. [CHANGE SUBJECT again:] The ‘comments’ [VITRIOL] expressed by Ms. Lynch in no way excuse those made in response to her tweets, many of which have been horrifically racist, sexist, Islamophobic and threatening physical violence. These appalling comments should be resoundingly condemned WITH EVEN GREATER PASSION.” [WHY? YOU DIDN’T condemn HERS with PASSION?]

      * Judging by the vitriol emanating from Brandeis profs (like yourself) and the students YOU and THEY train, I would use ANY other word than ‘compassionate’. That’s a joke, a sick joke; malignant, or even SAVAGE, (like the moslems you cheer for), are better adjectives. More Brandeis hate:

        http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2014/07/13/exclusive-inside-brandeis-university-faculty-listserv/

        by DANIEL MAEL13 Jul 2014553
According to its mission statement, Brandeis University was founded to “embody its highest ethical and cultural values and to express its gratitude to the United States through the traditional Jewish commitment to education.” The school pledges that its faculty will “bring newly minted knowledge straight from the field or lab to the graduate and undergraduate classrooms.”

But newly uncovered emails distributed to an official university faculty listserv, comprised of a number of well-known Brandeis professors, show the narrow agenda of the professoriate. That agenda was on full display when 87 professors signed onto a petition protesting the honorary degree slated for women’s rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali. “We cannot accept Ms. Hirsi Ali’s triumphalist narrative of western civilization, rooted in a core belief of the cultural backwardness of non-western peoples,” the petition stated.

But that was just the beginning. A secret Brandeis faculty listserv tells the rest of the story.

This listserv, entitled “Concerned,” was created in 2002. It began “out of concern about possible war with Iraq.” It contains 92 subscribers, including professors from outside of the university. Participants express their fear and disdain on issues ranging from United States foreign and domestic policy, the “American system,” and “the Israelists,” to “President ‘Obomber’” and ” Hillary ‘Obliterate Iran!’ Clinton.”

“Houston, we have a problem,” warned Mary Baine Campbell, a Brandeis English professor. “Ayaan Hirsi Ali claims to have had a difficult early life, and it may be true. However, she’s an ignorant, ultra-right-wing extremist, abusively, shockingly vocal in her hatred for Muslim culture and Muslims, a purveyor of the dangerous and imaginary concept, born of European distaste for the influx of immigrants from its former colonies, ‘Islamofascism’ – which has died on the vine even of the new European right wing. To call her a ‘woman’s rights activist’ is like calling Squeaky Fromm an environmentalist.”

“To honor someone at graduation who is notorious for inciting hate, defending violence and insulting the bearers of one of the world’s most populous faiths, including many students and faculty, not to mention parents, is not ‘hosting.’ It’s complicity in defamation,” she added.

Other professors seemed to be on the same wavelength — left even of far-left politicians like President Barack Obama. Professor Donald Hindley, who too signed the petition against Hirsi Ali, frequently derides President “Obomber,” while Campbell claims Obama “has shown himself so far unable to resist the imperialist POV of the Congress, the defense industry and his own administration” with regards to Iran.

Professor Emeritus Bob Lange wonders if Elizabeth Warren will stand against allegedly hawkish foreign policy, questioning if she “has the needed values, experience, and courage to be the president to stand up [to] the American powers that want to keep us on our violent criminal path.”

Members of the listserv move beyond disdain for American politicians and into outright anti-Israel rhetoric. When three Israeli teenagers were kidnapped by Hamas operatives, Professor Hindley expressed his apathy about Palestinian terror and their disdain for Israel, attacking “The Vile, Terrorist Israeli Government.” Hindley’s controversial attitude towards Jews was particularly inflammatory in a 2007 listserv email with the subject line, “Plant a Tree, Bury a Palestinian.”

“Zionist olive trees grow wondrously on Palestinian corpses,” he contested. “In that way, we combine great trees with our own holocaustic ethnic cleansing.”

The listserv doesn’t restrict itself to foreign policy. It also offers a safe space for the most extreme perspectives on issues like climate change. “At a time when we are literally facing the possible end of human life on this planet unless we ACT within the next two decades (yes, it is that dire!!), Brandeis University should be a shining light for others,” warned Sabine Von Mering, Associate Professor of German and Women’s and Gender Studies. “Brandeis MUST be at the forefront of divestment, because Climate Change is a SOCIAL JUSTICE issue: Poor and indigenous people around the planet are frontline victims of climate change. They need all of us to act now.”

There is little room for dissent, as “Concerned” co-creator Gordon Fellman explained in a 2009 email: “it is rude to post a recipe for pork roast on a vegetarian listserv or an orthodox Jewish one, or right wing harangues on the concerned list.”

Daniel Mael is a student at Brandeis University. He is also a reporter for TruthRevolt.org and a contributor to the Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity.

Did I miss something? I didn’t see any mention of two policemen MURDERED in cold blood by a fellow abd-moslem. Is this in fact a very Christian-like act of self-sacrifice by Ms Lynch, to draw the bloodhounds away from that villain?

Is she now on a watch list? What if she gets her gun and goes and murders someone? Would the police be blamed for not watching her, or would cair blame them FOR watching her? NONE of these jihadi problems would exist if there were NO ISLAM in the US, likewise for the whole world – mundo sin islam.

Can we say that Brandeis is morally bankrupt?

I’m puzzled as to why any African-American would want to convert to Islam considering the Muslim slave trading of black Africans predates the Atlantic slave trade by centuries and still continues in pockets of the Sudan and Eritrea. I believe Saudi Arabia officially outlaw slavery in 1975.

Muslim recruiters come to them and say something along the lines of “christian white people are racist and hate black people like you. Hey, did you know that racist christian white people spent centuries going into Africa and abducting black, cultured, advanced muslim africans to use as slaves? If you want to stick it to the racist White Christian Man – who hates you because you’re black, I don’t know if I mentioned that – , you should convert to islam, the religion of your ancestors. @jihad me and angemon: Also, because white pseudo-liberal educators weighted down with loads of guilt feelings (when they deny that there’s any such thing as true moral guilt) take charge of American [mis-]education and declare the _Autobiography of Malcolm X_ (ghost-written by Alex Haley) as a classic. The only thing that our kids know about Jonathan Edwards was that he was a spooky creep who preached about Hellfire, and have no idea that he admitted blacks to communion and believed that the ultimate fate of the “negroes and Indians” was to be Christian peers of the whites in America. Nor do they know that Edwards’ son and a few clerical sons-in-law also ended up enemies of slavery. Nor are any of us told about how cheerfully Africans sold their neighbors into slavery; and that Muslim Africans didn’t stop doing it until forced to do so at cannon-point by European colonialists (take that, Ali Mazrui!).

      I’m not—

Islam is the perfect religion to give justification for those who feel under attack and to maintain the eternal “victim” fantasy. Islam is also “higher” than Christianity because it comes last in co-opting the revelations of Sinai and the New Testament. What a perfect receptacle for projecting hatred. Islam incites, encourages and permits hatred of the Jew and Jihad. It’s perfect for a fragile personality that has the need to hate and the need to have an enemy. There are billions of people out there who share those sentiments and that profile. As an underdog religion, Islam provides great mass appeal, which even Eric Hoffer, the author of the True Believer, noted in 1951. It should come as no surprise that its numbers are growing. If one has a grievance, Islam will take care of it.

I, for one, hold that Mo did a very poor job of “co-opting” the Old and New Testaments into his religion. He claimed the books were corrupted (although the Da’wa boys have never satisfactorily explained to me how the Christians and Jews came up with essentially the same books of the Tanakh; even though they didn’t cooperate).

The Islamic idea that a prophet cannot “lose” and is invariably sinless is utterly purile, exhibiting an extremely flawed understanding about what the Bible (Old and New Testaments) is all about. No wonder they throw out the baseless claim that the Scriptures were corrupted and excuse themselves from reading them! Islamic claims cannot stand in the light of a real knowledge of Scripture.

You are correct! In many cases Muslims were the middle men in shipping blacks to the Americas. A Tidiane N’Diaye, a Senegalese Muslim, wrote a book entitled ” The Veiled Genocide”. The book is in French and needs to be translated into English. In any case he wrote about the horrible things Muslims did to blacks after they were enslaved and in a number of cases marched them across the Sahara into slavery in the Muslim world as well as the Americas. Also, I read another book that explained that early in Islamic history blacks were accepted into Arab society; however, for more than 10 centuries now Arabs have been among the biggest racists with regard to blacks.

This particular student should leave this country if she finds it so hateful as she is an example of the problem and not the solution.

It’s no wonder that scientific progress is slow in Islamic countries when referencing published work is considered slander.

This is the classic Islamic view of slander: anything which does not put Islam in a good light is considered slander, whether it is true or false. It seems to me that falsely accusing someone of slander is by civil law definition, slander in itself. If anything, our hero Daniel Mael should be filing a cease and desist suit against those who accuse him of spreading false information!

Instead, the ones who should be blamed for it are the cowards and traitors who have allowd enemies of our nation to infiltrate our society and turn our youth into a new generation of jihadists and jihad enablers! These cowards and traitors who have corrupted our nation’s youth should be put on trial for treason and they should pay the ultimate penalty for this crime!

If that filth laden intellectually vapid language is specifically directed at what the left perceives to be as racist., islamophobic, conservatives, or anybody that believes in the equality of all under the law regardless of race, then it is A okay to do so. To them, those that are against jihad, or take the time to call out a spade when it clearly is a spade are the true scum of the Earth, So any and all abusive language is not only justified but encouraged, because to the left the defenders of liberty deserve to be subject to opprobrium, silenced, and perhaps “reeducated,”. The demonic rancor they hold for those that would dare oppose their agenda is endemic across continents. The legacy of slavery will live on for generations in this country regardless of any gains made to make amends for that historical injustice. Truth doesn’t matter to them, for it falls silent in public squares. What matters is that any and all ” racism” is blotted out by any means necessary.

First Brandeis administration ban from the university the eloquent and knowledgeable Ayaan Hirsi Ali for informing us of the terrorism, sharia and misogyny in Islamic countries. Now they bully a guy who merely points out the vile hatred of a woman student who is all for the killing of police in a country (the USA) that she hates while attending a university she describes in anti-Semitic terms. What are those leftists smoking at Brandeis? They support every terror group and the right to spread propaganda on their behalf but they will not allow truth to be spoken about Islam nor hateful students in favour of cop-killing to be criticized.
