Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Hamas-linked CAIR claims businessman who died in 1965 refuted Robert Spencer

Dec 7, 2014 10:24 am By Robert Spencer

William R KenanOn November 26, I published here a letter from the General Counsel of the Roman Catholic diocese of Sacramento, proving that a central claim in the hate dossier on me at the Hamas-linked terror organization CAIR’s new Islamophobia website was false. In that post, I noted that CAIR would soon be hearing from my lawyers.

Evidently operatives at Hamas-linked CAIR read the post, as they adjusted their dossier to remove their libelous claims. In doing so, however, they added in a great deal more nonsense. It is telling that nothing in their dossier shows me making a single false statement about Islam or jihad. Instead, it is a record of their brownshirt victories in pressuring people to cancel me here and there, quotations from people they claim are associated with me saying things they claim are egregious, and only a handful of quotes from me, mind you, all misrepresented — despite 13 books, hundreds of articles, and 40,000 blog posts they could mine for material. But best of all is this:

Academics formally trained in Islamic studies, such as Dr. Carl Kenan and Dr. William Kenan at UNC-Chapel Hill, have flatly stated that Spencer’s views have “no basis in scholarship.”

There is no Dr. Carl Kenan at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, either in Islamic studies or anywhere else. There is no Dr. Carl Kenan in Islamic studies (or any other field that I could find) anywhere else, either. Dr. Carl Kenan is a fictional character, concocted by Hamas-linked CAIR.

As for Dr. William Kenan, he did exist, but he was not a professor of Islamic studies and did not have a doctorate. Rather, he was a wealthy businessman who gave large donations to UNC-Chapel Hill, and for whom the Kenan Center, Kenan Stadium and other buildings there are named. William Kenan died in 1965. I was three years old, and was no Mozartian prodigy; I wouldn’t publish anything about Islam or anything else for decades.

So CAIR removed its libel and replaced it with fiction.

I actually know the error they made here, but I am not going to reveal it — they will have to figure it out for themselves. In the meantime, this shows the laziness, carelessness, and fundamental dishonesty of their “Islamophobia” “database.” I will watch with great amusement for future “corrections.”

The epic battle between Spartacus and the barbarians of CAIR continues. The entertainment value of this clash is great. I still think you need to head to the main office of CAIR Mr. Spencer dressed in Roman Gladiator battle array and start chanting Spartacus! Spartacus! Spartacus! Though since you are a civilized man Mr. Spencer you may want to give them a handicap to make the game fair before the mercy rule is put into effect.

Islam is a handicap you are right. A handicap in some sports is when you give the opponent points so you are behind. This is usually done when there is a big skill gap between opponents, which in the CAIR Spartacus clash there is. It’s like a master swordsmen vs a blind crippled person with a butter knife.

CAIR? You mean THE CAIR? The officially designated terrorist organization? That CAIR? With all the prosecuted criminal activity of so many of their officials and even founding members, not to mention their blatant public attempts to stop cooperation and foil FBI investigations and national security with their pamphlets and posters, one would think that at this point there would be a raid on their offices any day now. Imagine what sort of files would be uncovered? Imagine the dots which could be connected! Almost certainly a lot of lives would be saved from jihad terror plots, because CAIR is certainly a touchpoint for many of the jihad terrorists planning their attacks right now — or at least those who KNOW about the upcoming plots and have turned to CAIR for tips on what to do. To which they would reply, according to their literature: “Don’t talk to or help law enforcement.”

Oh, wait, that’s not going to happen. Not for 2 more years.

As far as I can see, there is no link in this article to “CAIR’s new Islamophobia website”. Why? Is it not good rhetorical practice to always link to what you complain of, so that the inquisitive reader can conveniently verify your assertions? You do link to a previous article — the underlined words “I published here” — but that article too contains no link to the complained-of CAIR website. However, a comment there by jihad3tracker does give a link, but through something called a “proxy server”. What is a proxy server, and what is it for? Is it a means to prevent computer infection by Islamic cooties?

Whatever it is, don’t forget the examples of Oriana Fallaci and Mark Steyn. Especially the latter, who’s been down the “legal” “justice” path on not one but two counts: the fake science of global warming and before that stating truthful facts about the Islamic scriptures. Hate crimes are thought crimes, and they exist strictly in the eye of the beholder, watch out for beholders who are actual law school graduates in black robes.

But things are looking up. Out next president, Hillary, signed the OIC resolution to make it a crime to criticize a religion. Also, as a legal expert taught at august Yale Law Tool, Hillary has been a lead spokesperson that hate crimes of all types, not just those committed against Moslems, must be strictly enforced.

Mark Spahn (West Seneca, NY) said, “…wouldn’t you want your readers to be able to verify it themselves?”

In an ideal world, yes. In a soundbite world, I’m not sure. While I wouldn’t want the government to censor neo-Nazi propaganda, I wouldn’t want to actually assist average hurried soundbite readers to find neo-Nazi propaganda. Politicians and businessmen unfortunately know that sheer exposure of a view, regardless of whether it is true or not, influences many minds. Who was it who said that if you just keep repeating some lie to the public, many will believe it? Many people don’t have time to sift through all the evidence to critically examine the statements of an organization like CAIR. Many of the hurried folk just read what sounds like very plausible, moderate, civil rights verbiage, and tend to take it at face value. Meanwhile, those readers who are not soundbiters, who thoroughly research things, will not have so much trouble finding something merely because I didn’t provide an easy link.

So it’s not about providing easy links to neo-Nazis or Islamic would-be totalitarians. It’s about carefully checking the evidence for yourself, to see where the preponderance of it leads.

Just a query Robert, but isn’t this how the koran was “brought down?”

Verses were “revealed” to counter conjecture, doubt and contradictions that in turn created more conjecture doubt and contradiction. In fact I thought muslims in trying to be ‘scholarly’ and therefore somehow equal to the Jews – which I note they never will be – they plagiarised, misquoted, stuffed up, abrogated, cancelled, contradicted, and justified their total and absolute incompetence with language, poetry and recitation, and a hundred or so years later; even more incriminatingly, in writing, in their own ‘bible.’ If it weren’t so serious it really would be funny. Over a hundred years after the events, finally someone starting writing it down. Ibn Ishaq I think. The Jews had been recording their stories accurately for some 2500 years by this stage, and their books, authored by several hundred writers remain unchanged from the earliest copies found to the current current editions. They are logical, rational and quite well written stories or histories of the time. The koran, faith and sirah are by comparison very poorly written, there are 7 or 8 quite distinct versions, all apparently coming from the words of one man.
The interesting thing about both the CAIR post about you and the muslim canons is that all are self incriminating. The evidence to demolish either the claims in the CAIR post or in the muslim canons is easily found in the documents themselves. For example, there the satanic verses for starters, then there’s ‘The Muslim Dilemma’ – Koran 5:47, then there’s “O you who have believed, do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you….A people asked such questions before you; then they became thereby disbelievers.” (Qur’an 5:101-102) And no wonder!
The whole thing is situational revelation, revelation to suit the pseudo prophet’s personal selfish agenda. This of course is all justified by attacking people who point out this mountain of obvious faults with the muslim canons, controlling the losses of believers (you’d have to be stupid, or living in fear to believe any of this shit) by killing them, by blaming everyone else for the problems in the muslim world, and by charging the enemy with having the characteristics that anyone with half a brain and one eye open would describe the muslims as being. For instance, would you continue to call Jews ‘apes’ and ‘donkeys’ after accurately writing their history for about 4,500 years when the muslims can’t even get their own story right first? Mohammad is charged with being a charlatan, liar, counterfeiter, fraud, plagiarist and forger in Islams most important canons. Why? Because he was. Muslims continue to call Jews ‘apes’ and ‘donkeys’ but when you compare Israel’s success of the last 50 years compared to the muslim world’s absolute failure after 1400 years I think the Jews win the argument hands down. Israel is the future of the Middle East. Israel is the template to create a prosperous, wealthy, healthy, happy, productive, first world Middle East. Israel is not the problem in the Middle East, it is the solution.
Muslims cannot even think clearly, let alone write a coherent, believable argument at the highest level of their political culture such is the depths of their mass produced psychosis, hatred, envy and denial. And the CAIR post is just a more up to date example.
I think it is fitting that they’ve stuffed up so badly. It’s just the way muslims have been since the very first muslim.

Now, Bobby, do you actually expect us to believe you recall all you said and did when you were three, or perhaps even younger?

Surely, Bobby, you know, Muslims know—because their Qur’an tells them so—at times, babies, infants (Tafsir provides, as we will read herein shortly, “a day old infant),” children, speak from the cradle.

Surely, Bobby, you recall what Surah Maryam declares with respect to Maryam and her infant son, Isa, when her people questioned her on how it was, she, unmarried, had this child.

If you have forgotten the incident, I refresh your memory on the Qur’an-provided account:

Then she came to her people carrying him (the baby). They said, “O Maryam you have come out with something grave indeed. Sister of Harun, neither your father was a man of evil now was your mother unchaste.” So she pointed towards him (the baby). They said, “How shall we speak to someone who is yet a child in the cradle?” Spoke he (the baby), “Verily I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Book and made me a prophet, and He made me a blessed one wherever I be, and has enjoined Salah and Zakah upon me as long as I am alive…. (Surah Maryam: 19:27 – 30.)

And the regarded, Tafsir Ma ‘ ariful Qur’an provides the following exegesis on the Qur’an-asserted incident:

There is a report that when her family members started berating and censuring Sayyidah Maryam, Sayyidna Isa was sucking milk. When he heard their accusations he stopped suckling milk and moved over to his left side facing them, and raising his index finger he said: i.e. I am the servant of Allah …. “He has given me the Book and made me a prophet.” (19: 30.)

In these words, Sayyidna ‘Isa even in his infancy announced his future prophethood and the revelation to him of a sacred book from Allah Ta ‘ala…. By announcing his future prophethood he (Sayyidna ‘Isa) dispelled peoples’ doubts and exonerated his mother from the charge of fornication ….”

(Ma‘ariful Qur’an, By Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi, translated by, Muhammad Shamim and Muhammad Wali Raazi, Revised by Maulana Muhammad Taqi ‘Usmani, Fourth Edition, 2007, Maktaba-e-Darul- ‘Uloom, Karachi, 14 Pakistan; Vol. 6, pp. 38 – 41.)

And if that account, Bobby, fails to convince you, just because your fail to recall them, just because you were only three at that time, still, you very well may have, even then, been giving speeches, publishing and such; recall then, Yusuf’s incident. (The short on the setting: the wife of his master, begged Yusuf for intimacy, and Yusuf, wishing to remain pious, did his darndest, to break free from the wanton woman):

And they raced towards the door, and she tore his shirt from behind, and they found her master by the door. She said, “What can be the punishment of the one who intended evil with your wife except that he be imprisoned or (given) a painful punishment?” He said, “It was she who sought to seduce me.” And a witness from her family observed that if his shirt was torn up from the frontside [sic], then she is true and he is a liar; and if his shirt was torn up from behind, then she is telling a lie and he is truthful. (Surah Yusuf: 12: 25 – 27.)

Once more, for full-picture value, if you will, we return to the venerated pages of exegesis provided in Ma ‘ariful Qur’an :

… the wife of the Aziz of Misr was busy enticing Sayyidna Yusus into sin, and he, on his part, was trying to stay away from it….

….Sayyidna Yusuf … ran away from that private enclave and dashed for the door …. The wife of Aziz of Misr ran after him … grabbing his shirt …. But, when he did not stop—being determined not to—the shirt was torn from behind him….

When they both came out of the door, they saw the Aziz of Misr standing face to face. His wife was unnerved…. (Ibid, Vol. 5, P.66.)

The exegesis goes on to state, the wife, “in order to wiggle out of the awkward situation,” pressed for the punishment, as cited in the earlier Qur’anic verses.

“The matter was dense and delicate,” it tells us, and indeed, it was. Therefore, if Yusuf was to be exonerated and shown free from indiscreetness, it was clear to see, measures outside the norm were called for.

    Therefore, the following:

Usually, on such occasions, infant children have been chosen to unfold truth, infants who are not expected to talk customarily. But, by giving them power of speech miraculously, Allah Ta ‘ala would arrange for the acquittal of His favoured [sic] servants from accusations levelled against them. This happened when people started accusing Sayyidna Maryam falsely. Allah Ta ‘ala gave a day old infant, Sayyidna ‘Isa, the ability to speak and it was through his tongue that He had the sanctity of his blessed mother manifested ….Similarly, when another accusation of this nature was made under the umbrella of a major conspiracy against Jurayj, a pious elder among the Bani Isra ‘il, it was a new-born child who testified to his innocence. When Pharaoh got suspicious about Sayyidna Musa, the small daughter of the personal lady hair-styler [sic] of the wife of Pharaoh was given the power of speech and it was she who saved Sayyidna Musa during his childhood from being hurt by the Pharaoh.

Similarly, in this event relating to Sayyidna Yusuf, according to a narration of Sayyinda ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas and Abu Hurairah, Allah Ta ‘ala bestowed that power of speech upon a small child …. This small child was lying in a cradle in the house. There is no way it could have occurred to anyone that this child would have watched their movements and understood what they were doing—and then, would be able to even go on to describe it in some manner. (Ibid, pp. 66 – 67.)

That is for darn sure. The narrative continues on, informing the reader how, in reality, “every particle of this universe works as His (Allah Ta ‘ala’s) secret service.” It thus asserts as follows:

In sum, this small child, who was lying in the cradle oblivious of everything in the world around him, was made to speak out … precisely at the time when the Aziz of Misr, being on the horns of a dilemma, did not know what to do.

….What the child said was: See the shirt of Sayyidna Yusuf. If it is torn from the front, then the word of Zulaikha is true and that of Sayyidna Yusuf could be otherwise. And if the shirt is torn up from the back, then there remains just no other probability but that Sayyidna Yusuf was running away from her and Zulaikha wanted to stop him. (Ibid. P.68.)

Goodness gracious—can you fathom such, coming from a mere babe in a cradle??!! Articulating not only such a profound and precise argument, but also even rightly pronouncing Zulaikha and everything.

Back to my point, Bobby: if the above infants, babes, and children spoke from the cradle, what’s to state and affirm, you too, my friend, did not, have not done the same and then some?

    I rest my case.
