Over at PJ Media, Patrick Poole has this from NYPD cop killer Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley’s Facebook page, which has now (of course) been removed:
If they were going for beers they weren’t very good Muslims, but Brinsley was apparently good enough of one to note the Qur’anic command to “strike terror into the hearts of the enemies of Allah” (8:60).
And on Saturday he did just that.
duh_swami says
The Quran is good for all time ainit? We know that because Gabriel told us so.
So if you believe that, and also hate a certain type kuffar (cops in this case) or any kuffar, it is a holy act to strike them down. After the dastardly deed is done the pious can claim innocence by invoking Q 8:17, which relieves him of all responsibility. Allah thinks of everything…

It seems he was charged with “terroristic threats spc” down Atlanta way in 2010. Can’t find any more specific information on this. There is a snapshot of the mugshot on this twitter page: https://twitter.com/Breaking911/status/546451276691550208/photo/1

Or maybe Ismaaiyl Abdullah (slave of allah) was already planing to gain entrance in paradise by killing and being killed.

Guzzling a few wobbly-pops? Hey, gotta do a bit of that old MURUNA routine, to pretend to fit in , right?
Undautned says
This was one of those attacks that would have been very hard to stop. The attacker had speed, surprise, and audacity all on his side and the cops were just sitting ducks. It doesn’t have to be this way.

“f they were going for beers they weren’t very good Muslims”
A good Muslim is the one who will eventually shed some innocent blood.
Whether he goes for a beer or for a “natural” anus enlargement procedure doesn’t really matter.

He was probably like the rest of these idiot poseurs who like to quote the Koran’s violence/revenge passages as inspiration for their self-aggrandizing hero fantasies, they’re not really muslim though.
jay says
And what I mean by that, just that a lot of people like to take the parts of Islam they like (anti-white, anti-America rebels love Islam) and then say, “oh yes I’m a muslim” but the other parts of actually being in the religion (no drinking, etc) they ignore and skip. So they’re not ACTUALLY muslim, just skimming off the parts of the ideology that fit their agendas/politics for the moments. I’ll often see some idiot black panther wanna-be quoting the Koran, but they’re far from religious people in any respect. Half the time they’re atheist or just neutral, god has nothing to do with it.
voegelinian says
It doesn’t matter to our safety if jay’s speculative taxonomy of Muslims (and that’s all it is, speculation) is accurate or not. Since there is such an overwhelming urge in our Western culture on so many levels in so many different flavors to explain (and explain away) the dangerous problem of Islam, it behooves us in the Counter-Jihad to resist the temptation we may have from deeply lurking PC MC reflexes inside us to do the same. Instead, we need to cultivate a more holistic appraisal of the problem, leading to the conclusion that all Muslims are equally suspect.
Mark my words, the West will end up doing this in the decades ahead. The only question is, will we arrive at this dismaying conclusion before — or after — a few million of our men, women and children are mass-murdered (and mass-maimed) by Muslims among us? (If the Softies in the Counter-Jihad are any indication reflecting the general inertia and irrationality of Westerners in this regard, the answer to that question does not elicit much hope…)

I don’t understand why America has such a hard time connecting the dots of jihad and dealing with it as the #1 threat to our country, our freedom, our lives.

Here is just one of the reasons that will partially answer your question as to *why*:

Perhaps Satan wrote the Koran and the Bible? He’s such a naughty fellow.

Many in politics and the media and in the population in general equate all other religious belief with islam and if they have something in mind about what islam commands and muslims do, they just can’t resist trying to smear others of faith…Christians mainly….when they comment on events that are happening or the way people are behaving. Some people hate Christianity so very much, they must equate it with islam despite the reality. So, it is willful blindness induced by their hate.

Hmm, the Muslim connection is not being mentioned in most of the MSM stories.
The Koran is the programming software, young Muslims the empty shell robots being brainwashed.
Jay Boo says
Islam is just a piety display that would easily unravel if it did not always find a kafir as an excuse to blame for its disgrace and shame.
Since critical thought about the Qur’an’s many contradictions is not allowed, Muslims need only memorize the verses by rote like trained parrots and whine about infidels as a convenient distraction to each contradiction.

OFF TOPIC.
The British media is reporting that Kurdish forces have driven Islamic State forces out of the Mount Sinjar region and have started mopping up operations in the area.
Know Thy Enemy says
For everyone’s information- The media, and Muslims themselves, make a big deal about alcohol being forbidden (haram) in Islam, but the fact is that there is only one thing that is truly forbidden to a Muslim, something that you will never see any Muslim do- SHIRK. ‘Shirk’ means believing in anyone other than Allah, or having partners with Allah. Everything else totally depends on how devout the Muslim is!
(There is more to Shirk but the above two things is something that every Muslim knows of.)
There is a common Muslim belief that “Allah will forgive anything and everything on judgement day, but he will not forgive Shirk.” Therefore, as long as someone calls Allah his/her God and Muhammad his/her prophet, we should know that the person is a Muslim for sure….. and it does not matter what else s/he does!
Arthur says
If he went for a beer, and then carried on with his jihad, does that dispel the common misconception that only “radical” or “fundamentalist” Muslims commit jihad? This guy seems like a “moderate” Muslim from his background, education, and buddy beer drinking, and yet he still committed murder. On the other hand, maybe putting up Islamic supremacist messages on your Facebook page is the criterion for “radical” classification. Perhaps this is an example to remember every time someone suggests jihad is only for radicals.
Myself, I don’t drink–and for no particular exact reason. I notice an interesting reaction from Muslims when I, or someone in the party, announces that I don’t drink alcohol. It is like a surprise to them, they seem interested to know why to a degree unlike other folks. Sometimes, the drinking Muslim will then explain that they really don’t drink that often, etc. etc.

Most likely they’re “interested” because they see an opportunistic wedge to do some dawa, maybe steer this Infidel away from his Infidel culture to Islam (“ah, he doesn’t drink like all the other drunken Americans or Westerners who walk naked in the streets raping women all the time — perhaps he is dissatisfied with his decadent blasphemous Infidel culture and we can entice him to revert…” et f. cetera).

“Surah 8:61 But if the enemy Incline (sic) towards, peace, Do thou also incline towards peace, and trust in Allah; for He is the One That heareth and knoweth all things

I prepared a detailed response to the above question, but the firewall on this site does not allow me to post it for some reason. Hence I have posted the answer on my own Google page. You can read it at this link-
