This comes straight from the Qur’an: “O you who have believed, indeed the polytheists are unclean…” (Qur’an 9:28)
Will John Kerry or Joe Biden, or David Cameron or Theresa May, or Ben Affleck or Mehdi Hasan or Qasim Rashid or Reza Aslan kindly explain how Abbas Ramazanipour is misunderstanding Islam?
“Iranian cleric says ‘unclean’ Baha’is must be banished from city,” National Council of Resistance of Iran, December 3, 2014 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
NCRI – A senior cleric of the Iranian regime has called for all Baha’is to be expelled from the southern Iranian city of Rafsanjan because they are ‘unclean’ and doing business with them is forbidden.
Friday prayer leader Abbas Ramazanipour told officials in the city on Tuesday: “The Baha’is are considered unclean based on decrees issued by religious leaders. This sect has created many problems in the city and they should not be here.”
The Iranian regime has stepped up suppression of Baha’is in recent months with frequent arrests and interrogations.
State-run media called for destruction a building in Tehran that they said was used by Baha’is, and in other cities they have been banned from burying their dead. In Shiraz, the Revolutionary Guards Corps demolished a Baha’is cemetery, according to reports.
The suppression of Baha’is is part of a widespread increase in human rights violations under Hassan Rouhani.
More than 1,000 people, including juveniles and women, have been executed since he came to power in July 2013.
A report by the UN’s Special Rapporteur on Iran Dr Ahmed Shaheed in October raised concerns over freedom of the press, noting that 35 journalists are currently behind bars in Iran. At least 300 people are in prison for their religious beliefs including 120 Baha’is and 49 Christians….

The UN and the rest of the world will ignore this but if an Israeli shoots a terrorist all hell breaks loose at the UN. It is time to tell the UN to leave.

” “unclean” Baha’is must be banished from city”
“CLEAN” according to Muhammad:
Dawud :: Book 1 : Hadith 66
Narrated AbuSa’id al-Khudri:
The people asked the Messenger of Allah (peace_be_upon_him): Can we perform ablution out of the well of Buda’ah, which is a well into which menstrual clothes, dead dogs and stinking things were thrown? He replied: Water is pure and is not defiled by anything.

I am no expert on this religion…..according to Wikipedia it is a monotheistic religion.
Not that this would help them survive under Islam obviously….

I am. I am Iranian. This region was founded in the 1800’s by a man named Bahaollah. Hence Bahai. They believe in world unity and peace and prosperity for all regardless of where, who….. Things went wrong we declared himself a prophet. Muslims are so delusional that anything their pedophile prophet said is 100% correct. Muhamad said to his people that I am the last prophet and there will be no one coming after me. So these people are persecuted, harassed and discriminated against. They are not allowed to go school or university. Run for office, join the military, have businesses etc…M
Neil Jennison says
I don’t doubt what you say at all. That pattern is well established when there is a majority Muslim country.
I was only questioning the “polytheistic” assertion.
It doesn’t matter to Islam how peaceful a religion is……..we know the results once they get power.
Rob Crawford says
Muslims consider Christians “polytheists”; it’s just another way for them to say “not a Muslim”.

Ha, ha,.. its the pot calling the kettle black!!! What ignorant , delusional hypocrites these people are!!

How Baha’is View Islam
“Blessing and peace be upon Him [Muhammad] through Whose advent Bathá [Mecca] is wreathed in smiles, and the sweet savours of Whose raiment have shed fragrance upon all mankind– He Who came to protect men from that which would harm them in the world below. Exalted, immensely exalted is His station above the glorification of all beings and sanctified from the praise of the entire creation. Through His advent the tabernacle of stability and order was raised throughout the world and the ensign of knowledge hoisted among the nations. May blessings rest also upon His kindred and His companions through whom the standard of the unity of God and of His singleness was uplifted and the banners of celestial triumph were unfurled. Through them the religion of God was firmly established among His creatures and His Name magnified amidst His servants.”
– Tablets of Baha’u’llah revealed after the Kitab-i-Aqdas, p. 162
‘There is so [much] misunderstanding about Islam in the West in general that you have to dispel. Your task is rather difficult and requires a good deal of erudition. Your chief task is to acquaint the friends with the pure teaching of the Prophet [Muhammad] as recorded in the Qur’án, and then to point out how these teachings have, throughout succeeding ages, influenced[,] nay[,] guided the course of human development. In other words you have to show the position and significance of Islam in the history of civilization.’
– Shoghi Effendi, (the Guardian of the Baha’i Faith). Lights of Guidance, New Delhi: Bahá’í Publishing Trust, 2nd rev. and enlarged edition, 1988, #1664.
‘The mission of the American Bahá’ís is, no doubt to eventually establish the truth of Islam in the West.’

How can you reform Islam…something that is ‘complete’, ‘perfect’ and ‘eternal’? To change what is ‘perfect’ is to make it imperfect. To change Islam is to declare it is not ‘eternal’ nor ‘complete’.
Truthseeker says
The spiritual essence of the Divine Reality is perfect and complete. The social teachings of the several religions on the planet are contingent based and can at various times become obsolete. Thus Christ will say there must be a new wine, and necessarily a new wineskin.

Baha’is believe that God’s Hand is “not chained up”, that Muhammad is not the Seal of the Rasu’Allah (Prophet with a Book) but the Seal of the Nabi (Lessor Prophets), that the coming together of the peoples of the planet is at hand (as per the opening of Surahs 3 and 6) and a new Divine Cycle has been initiated. (For some reason Muslims find this heretical, which Mr. Spencer often says is punishable by death.).
The Baha’i Faith starts on May 23rd, 1844 in Shiraz, Iran. The next day Samuel Mores will tap out the first tweet, the first Mores code message, “What hath God wrought”, on the other side of the planet.
Two Iranian Shahs will try to wipe the Faith out, even putting the Founder Baha’u’llah in their worst dungeon with a hundred pound chain around His neck for four months. He will eventually be banished to Baghdad in 1853.
After ten years the Ottoman Sultan will take hold of Baha’u’llah, put under house arrest in the city of Adrianople (Ederne) for five years before throwing Him into the Ottoman’s Abu Graib prison in the penal colony of Akka, just north of Haifa, Israel.
In the prison Baha’u’llah will have the courage and temerity to proclaim openly, and by inference to the Sultan himself, that…
‘The First Glad-tidings is that the law of holy war should be blotted out from the Book of God.’
‘The Second Glad-tidings is to consort with the followers of all religions in a spirit of friendliness and fellowship.’
After 9.5 years Baha’u’llah is so beloved by the people of the prison city of Akka that the Mufti of Akka, the leading Muslim cleric of the town, would go into His room and beg Him for an hour to go live outside the harsh prison walls in the beauty of the countryside, which He does. (This would be akin to the most conservative Afrikaner Arch Bishop of Cape Town going into Robben Island, telling the guards to get out of his way, taking Nelson Mandela by the hand and leading him to freedom.)
Baha’u’llah will live the last fourteen years of His life just outside the Prison of Akka and, as noted, establish the Baha’i World Center on the slopes of Mount Carmel just North of the Cave of Elijah.
Thus it could be said the Baha’i Faith is the most dramatic reform movement to stand up from within Islam, to walk through the worst persecution possible and to become, as per the Encyclopedia Britannica, the “Second most widespread religion on the planet”.
Brian Hoff says
The Sultan was easy on this person the leader of Iran want him to murder this person which the Sultan refuse to do but if they free him it will mean open war with Iran . The Sutan told person in charge not to mistreat him .
Dave J says
As I read it, if you really need to have a religion, then let it be something fairly peaceful and somewhat noble – Bahia, Sikh or Buddhist. Even a peaceful Protestant or Gia Worshiper would be OK.
But Islam cannot withstand the presence of any other, in a militant way that is fairly unique in modernity. If this was a rational world that view would slowly wither away, but I fear the hyper-emotionalism and ignorant dedication of the Arab/Pakistani genotype is poised to deliver yet more trouble, violence and damage to the “other’ that they fear so much.

Puritan Islam will have the same lasting effect as the American Puritans in New England? TS
duh_swami says
Puritan Islam? What’s that? In my estimation too many people with limited intelligence have their noses glued to scripture. I suppose if they can’t think for themselves, that’s all they have. Dead words for dead men…The real purpose of religion is to get you over yourself…All religions fail to do that. Instead it creates religious supremacist bigots…some who will kill you in the name of their bigotry…

Islam, the religion of peace, justice and tolerance.
Peace – when all infidels are gone
Tolerance – infidels tolerated as long as they are gone
Justice – infidels gone

I have only a slight beef with the Bahaiya:
“As to Muhammad, the Apostle of God, let none among His followers who read these pages, think for a moment that Islam, or its Prophet, or His Book, or His appointed Successors, or any of His authentic teachings, have been, or are to be in any way, or to however slight a degree, disparaged. ” — Shoghi Effendi
Even accounting for politics, this seems an endorsement of the “Uthmanic” (read, Umayyad) Qur’an to me.
