But Al-Shabaab’s media arm posted a statement saying the attack on Christian “crusaders” was in response to Kenya’s “occupation of Muslim lands” and “ongoing atrocities” toward Muslims in Somalia “as well as the continued suffering of Muslims in Mombasa.”

It’s not up to us to figure out for Muslims how to create a societal model based upon freedom of conscious, freedom of thought, expression, religion & the equality of all people irregardless of gender or creed.
When there is full reciprocity of these ideals then, they (Muslims) would be ready to immigrate or settle in the west. Until then accepting them onto our soil at this point is treason against our constitution and the future stability of our nation.

Right, Myx. We don’t want to do all the creative thinking FOR these unfortunate folk who grew up in Islam. But I do think it would be useful if we had some insights into an alternative path for resolving this pretty obvious “clash” of societal models. Because it is a global problem, & so therefore is partly our problem.
It is being portrayed as a political or policing or potential military conflict.
I’m thinking we might could minimize a lot of physical conflict, if we call in the psychiatrists & social workers who are experienced in de-programming folks who have been kidnapped & brainwashed. As in the “Stockholm Syndrome.” Or the “Patty Hearst Syndrome.”
Because it would seem that most Muslims–as is also the case with adherents of other religions–were “indoctrinated” with their respective religious views as children. Most of us spend the rest of our lives “recovering” from whatever indoctrination that was. In my case, it was Catholicism.
By looking at Islam as simply a result of childhood, or a kidnapped person’s, indoctrination, we might be able to skip the potential war, & go straight to the “peaceful healing” or “de-programming” phase. Would certainly be more fun.
Some of the professional psychiatrists on this blog might wanna chime in. Or ex-Muslims.

Kenya is yet another country that did the “humane thing” and imported thousands and thousands of Islamic refugees from Somalia and Ethiopia. The pattern is repeated all over the world. Import muslims into a civilised/western country and then watch the country deteriorate. France, for example, is beyond redemption after importing millions of muslims. That country, in my opinion, can no longer turn back as the muslims are getting close to their critical number they need to take over. I pity the people living in Kenya. These attacks will increase.
