Is the US govt prohibiting? There are probably more jihadis from US than UK, in fact you have quite a history of US citizens going to join terrorist groups, long before IS appeared. In fact there seem to be jihais who have come back form IS into US that have not been challenged. Perhaps it makes you feel better to abuse UK but clean your own stable before you start on us.

As far as I can see, there is not one Western Government prohibiting the return of disloyal citizens who go and fight for IS. Anyone would think they were casual tourists or travellers who’d gone there on a package holiday and not terrorists. Anyone who leaves to join IS should be kept out permanently, because they’re a danger to our open societies. Furthermore, it is one less Jihadi over here.

Let’s say that there is not enough evidence to convict her of any specific action but they suspect she was involved in jihad operations abroad. What then? Do they just let her go and walk freely? Do they keep tabs on her indefinitely? In that case, even by doing nothing she’s engaging in jihad – making the kuffar spend resources.
Suppose she’s charged, convicted and does her time. Do British authorities expect her to become a loyal citizen while in the slammer? They should have stripped her of her citizenship when she left to join the islamic state and make sure she could never set foot in Britain again.

If the security forces were so sure she had gone to Syria to fight with ISIS she should have been refused entry, had her passport taken away and sent back there. We don’t want traitors here in the UK. A message of non-tolerance needs to be sent to other British subjects considering these type of actions.

Well, we’re not doing any better at this than anyone else, so I wonder about being indignant here in the US about something that is happening in the UK. It seems to be an international phenomenon in the West generally: we are hopelessly hemmed in by a fear of being called a racist that we are supposed to ignore what our eyes see and brains pick up on.
