Veiled Muslima stabs American teacher to death in Abu Dhabi mall

Authorities in Abu Dhabi released CCTV footage Wednesday in the hunt for a suspect who stabbed an American school teacher to death in a public restroom at a mall.

A statement posted on the Abu Dhabi Interior Ministry’s website said the victim was stabbed Monday with a sharp tool that has been confiscated by police. The statement said the American woman was 37 years old. Her name has not been made public.

The stabbing comes on the heels of a security warning posted by the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi in late October, advising Americans of a “recent anonymous posting on a Jihadist website that encouraged attacks against teachers at American and other international schools in the Middle East.

“The Mission is unaware of any specific, credible threat against any American or other school or individual in the United Arab Emirates (UAE),” the warning reads. “Nonetheless, the Mission is working with local schools identified with the United States to review their security posture.”

In the video, the suspect, wearing a traditional black robe, full-face veil and gloves commonly worn by local women throughout the Arab Gulf region, is seen calmly walking into the mall in Abu Dhabi’s upscale Reem Island.

The suspect picks up a paper and disappears down a hallway. An hour and a half later, the suspect reappears and races toward an elevator. A woman tries to stop the suspect before she enters, but retreats. The suspect then quickly walks out the doors of the mall.

The victim had 11 year-old twins who are now in the custody of police until their father, who is the victim’s ex-husband, arrives from abroad.

Col. Rashid Borshid, head of the Criminal Investigation Department, told The Associated Press that the attacker remains at large. He said police are investigating possible motives and the gender of the attacker.

He said a fight broke out between the victim and the attacker in the women’s restroom just before the stabbing….

A fight broke out my ass; from before this zombie entered the building she was escorted led and welcomed by a security officer. .. then had momentary contact with a few security in passing ; then picked up a “paper sitting on TOP of a casement before entering a hallway.. this STINKS of set up and deliberate attack…… where did knife come from… (Paper?).. Do these bitches all carry foot long kitchen knives?…fight my ass!

Overwhelmingly the vast majority of Muslim-on-Muslim and Muslim-on-everybody-else violence is perpetrated by males. It’s statistics. Muslim male violence, while far more extreme is consistent with serious violence statistics (not slapping, but killing and raping) done by males all around the world. There’s also the obvious issue of Muslimas in male-dominant Islam subjected to societal Stockholm syndrome.To say this does not make anybody a “man hater” but a lover of humanity who hopes we all start doing better with the problem of violence and hating. The veiled misogyny among some within the Jihad Watch commenter group is unworthy of those collectively against the extreme gonzo hatred inherent in Islam.

    • I agree, Bob. Saying that “a fight broke out” smacks of false moral equivalence. How many American teachers are prone to brawling in toilets? I think it’s pretty clear that she was trying to defend herself from a homicidal Jihad knife attack.

      This very much looks premeditated.

      I’m not sure if the killer is a man or a woman—both Muslims and Muslimahs can be vicious murderers. But this just makes it clear how appalling the black hefty bag is. I doubt that Abu Dhabi authorities could find the murderer—even if they actually wanted to, which is pretty questionable.

      No civilized person should go to Dar-al-Islam.

    the chances are 99:1 that the murderer is a muslim.

      • Actually, Infidel teachers working in Dar-al-islam is not at all uncommon. Some are naïve idealists, and some go for the higher pay (most international schools pay very well).

        There are several regular posters here at Jihad Watch who teach or have taught in the Muslim world.

  6. Looks like a horror movie to me; except this one is real. One question, though, how did the murderer know that the teacher was in the bathroom? Did the security guard(s) tip her off? I notice that the muslima talked briefly with the guards at the entrance door and by the elevator.

Two years later they said their heads had almost been severed, and “it looked like something out of Al Qaeda”. Maybe we have yet to hear that the victim was almost beheaded. Not announced at the time, the rabbis murdered in the Jerusalem synagogue were beheaded, we afterwards learnt.

Could it be that the guard who seemed to be expecting someone to arrive, showed the *woman*…or man in, and the one spoken to just before the approach to the newsstand were part of a planned killing? Perhaps the guard gave directions as to where to find the knife that would be used as a murder weapon.
    And the body in the bag could be a man. The clothing is so long as to cover the feet, perhaps to conceal the size and/or type of footwear. Evil in any case.

  32. That’s either a man in the tent, or a masculine woman…Most likely a man…It also looks like a set up as this ‘tent’ did not appear to be a shopper. The encounter with the security guy at the bottom right of video, is highly suspicious.
    Murder in a public restroom is tricky business because anyone can walk in on the crime in progress. There is no way the ‘tent’ could have known the teacher was in the rest room. That suggests to me that the teacher was a victim of opportunity and not a specific target. There will probably be more rest room jihad by black tents. The solution…ban black tents…

  34. I just don’t get why any Westerner would go to these countries. They are not like us. Many of them want to kill you for no other reason than your nationality. The governments of these countries will not protect you. The United States will not protect you. You are on your own and the natives are not friendly.

      I feel just the same. I cannot imagine her last moments. How terrified and confused she must’ve been, wondering why this stranger was doing this to her, for no reason. How do you explain this to a child? I don’t know. We can barely understand it even adults.

      I have come to loathe this ideology with all my soul. And I have no problem saying that. Islam brings nothing but oppression, misery and death – physically, spiritually, societally – wherever it is practiced.

The muslima jihadi was caught in her home and arrested, but strangely the husband was not, which was very odd..She may get the death penalty. The victim ‘s ex husband was surprised to learn that he has the power to forgive the
    (satanic ) murderess of his 3 children’s mother.. Beside the 11 yr old twin boys they have a 13 yr old girl who lives with the father in Europe and attends a boarding school. I hope with all my heart that he won’t forgive the death monster, and has etched in his mind all the suffering his poor undeserving ex- wife went through, and all the sad consequences and trauma of her untimely death have brought for ever to her children, family and friends. This miserable monster should get the death penalty for her crime , and with her death others won’t suffer the same fate by her hands.There will be one less follower of satan to do
