Thursday, on my weekly appearance on Michael Coren’s The Arena.

1) The wisdom or otherwise of paying a ransom to Al Qaeda for American hostage Luke Somers.
2) American schoolteacher, mother of two, Ibolya Ryan stabbed to death in Abu Dhabi by woman in burka.
3) Somali terrorists Al-Shabab separated bus-riding Christians from Muslims, killing them and citing the Koran as their inspiration.

Why does Michael Coren feel compelled to insist that koran Q48:29 does not mean what it says? He insists that it is only an interpretation and that most Muslims disagree with the interpretation.
“Muhammad is Allah’s apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another.” — Qur’an 48:29

I think its looking for a way out.
This whole thing is looking crazy!
That said – why aren’t Muslim leaders more keen on denouncing this – possibly the answer is that they hope to gain by it.
Years ago I heard Muslims talking of a coming battle.
Of course a lot what was said then – is now not politically correct – in the west and is largely denied ~ publicly.
Publicly now you have an Islam that loves the west – say what!
Privately they may believe current events are prophetic.

Yemen has been on the radar as being extremely dangerous for years.
There was a group of Korean tourists – while posing for a picture with a local boy – he let off a bomb. And when the Korean officials came their vehicle was attacked while in traffic.

For these people there is only one law and one order and it has nothing to do with current government structures.
To try and frame this in terms of being for or against a particulr ‘race’ is nonsensical.

Muslim thugs have already attached a choker chain to western governments. They are being fundamentally transformed, in place.

They always redirect the topic. They answer to her question is that he does support ISIS tactics or he would have said no I do not support the tactics. He is using typical evasion. That poor woman! It must have been hard to sit with this ignorant poser.

I like Michael Coren, but his feeling that Muhammad’s “revelations” in his Koran can be denounced or rejected by *any* Muslim is sadly mistaken. The best that can be hoped for, is that – temporarily at least – Muslims are not aware of all of Muhammad’s promotion of crime in his Koran, nor of Muhammad practicing the crimes he preached (as recorded in the hadiths).
Mr.Coren’s analogy of moderate v radical Muslims with Catholics v Protestants is misguided, because the Muslims believe the Koran is the verbatim word of Muhammad (as revealed to him by “Jibreel” speaking on behalf of “Allah”) whereas the New Testament is not believed by Christians to be written or dictated by Jesus. Further, Jesus speaks of a ‘New Covenant’ to replace the old – of the Old Testament.
This means the words of the Koran are immutable, whereas the Bible is up for contesting to some extent – not to mention that the generally agreed-on values of Jesus are the polar opposite of the arch-criminal Muhammad.
I have personally never met a “moderate” Muslim online or in person. I’ve met several who have presented and claimed to be “moderate”, and then when questioned condone stoning women and men to death (for example), and every other crime of Muhammad’s. The only moderates I’ve met are the handful of Muslims who have *left Islam* after discussing it with me – a testament to their innate decency and open-mindedness, not to my persuasive powers!
