Jihad Watch

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Academics, journalists, Muslim groups endorse fascism, felony vandalism

Jan 28, 2015 3:52 pm By Robert Spencer

After San Francisco Chronicle “journalist” Evan Sernoffsky wrote a piece hailing the defacing of our AFDI ads, a reader of Pamela Geller’s website wrote to Sernoffsky to inform him that he was encouraging felony vandalism:

California Penal Code 594 PC states that ” The penalty for this may be up to one (1) year in a county jail, and a maximum fine of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) — OR up to fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) if the amount of the damage was $10,000 or more.”

Not only that: Sernoffsky was also praising and encouraging fascism. In the early 1930’s, National Socialist Brownshirts would go to lectures given by anti-Nazi professors and shout them down. The forcible denial of the freedom of speech to those with views that are unacceptable to those in power is a quintessentially fascist act.

And it isn’t just Sernoffsky. Twitter has been full of Leftists and Islamic supremacists praising this fascist act of felony vandalism. Among those hailing it have been several other “journalists” besides Sernoffsky (notably CNN’s Mona Eltahawy, who is herself a fascist vandal; and Omar Sacirbey of the Religion News Service); G. Willow Wilson, the creator of the Marvel Comics Muslima superhero whose image the fascists used in defacing our ads; Islamic apologist academic Lesley Hazleton; Islamic supremacist groups (including, of course, the Hamas-linked terror org CAIR); a professor at Georgetown University (the charming and rational Christine Fair; check her Twitter feed to see her numerous arrogant and deranged rants); Steve Rose of the discredited and mendacious “Islamophobia” monitor TellMamaUK; and of course the gutter thug Nathan Lean of John Esposito’s Saudi-funded Alwaleed bin Talal Center, who has on numerous occasions tweeted out what he thinks is my home address and whereabouts in an obvious and clumsy attempt to endanger me and people around me, and/or to intimidate me into silence.

We will not be silenced. The fascist thugs will not shout us down. It is important to note, however, that all these respectable, influential, lauded, highly-placed people are actually proponents of fascist savagery. It is one reason why the freedom of speech, and free society itself, are so embattled these days.

I am pleased by the tone of this article, namely the use of the “fascist” lexis. Yes – this is fascism in its XXI. century guise beyond any doubt. We are being confronted with a Sharia-fascism on the one hand and “another” kind of fascism directly supporting this Sharia-kind on the other hand.

And I agree with stressing the similarity with European 1930s – that’s EXACTLY how the lowest low of humankind started on my continent.

Hello Lu — Please let me jump in here — on Evan Sernoffsky at the San Francisco Chronicle.

There are several other “FASCISTS” — THAT IS EXACTLY THE CORRECT WORD — named by Robert and Pam, but Sernoffsky is the original perpetrator.

E-mail the SF Chronicle . . . There are probably executives there who can clearly understand his fashionable immature Leftist fantasies.

Also, about “G. Willow Wilson” — creator of that impossibly free bacon loving Muslima Kamala Khan : let them know how ABOUT THE FEMALE SUBJUGATION OF WOMEN .

Amit, Kamala Khan is not a “jihadi superhero”. She is, instead, a character crated by people who foolishly believe that Muslims are just like everyone else.

This is foolish, and dangerous, but it is not deliberately evil.

Nat Hentoff (I don’t know if still alive) was a ;ong time liberal and writer for THE VILLAGE VOICE, in New York, probably the first “alternative” newspaper.

Some years ago he wrote a book ” FREE SPEECH FOR ME, BUT NOT FOR THEE”.

This is the situation in a nutshell.

More recently (sometime late last year) a sociologist or psychologist-not sure- did a study of the difference between liberals/ progressives and conservatives (not the political differences-social differences).

What he found was, conservatives would LISTEN TO the opposing views. Sometimes even finding somethign worthwhile in a point or two. Liberals, on the other hand, would tune out anything/anybody who disagreed with their views.

“When fascism finally returns it will be disguised as anti-fascism”

    a smart man once said,

And shouting down opposition was and is still the usual modus operandi of left and right fascists.
They use the same technics:Just compare what Hitler was doing with our sociopathical left wing”Hero” Saul Alinsky and his 12 rules for revolutionaries. It’s the same and proves the horseshoe-theory to be 100% right.

A few weeks before the so called Maidan-Revolution ukrainian politician Oleg Tsarov warned on november 2013 at a speach at the ukrainian parliament of a faked “revolution” that is going to happen :
All politicians of the former opposition(now government) have been trying to shout him down during his speech because they knew he was exposing the truth but did not succeed(watch the video if you wanna know how it works)
Later Oleg Tsarov was horribly beaten up by the “peacefull” freedom loving svoboda- revolutionaries.

And just like with fascistic islam you will nowhere read in the Western MSM that the new ukrainian government is running svoboda nazi troops(google for their symbols and watch the videos if you don’t believe it)and that this is pure fascism, just like islam.

It seems that fascism is very very welcome as long as it is disguised as islam, leftwing or as pro-western freedom loving troops and used to defame people as fascist who oppose those leftwing radicals and islam

          Jan 28, 2015 at 7:36 pm

Nationalized health care is not a bad thing. In fact, if you are an average person living in an average country that has “nationalized” health care — like, say, Canada — it is sometimes the greatest thing that can happen to you. The person who came up with nationalized health care and made it happen in Canada, Tommy Douglas, was voted the all -time greatest Canadian in a massive long-running national poll of people all across Canada. In fact, the United States is the only modern, advanced country which dragged its heals, to the detriment and ruin of many of its citizens. And now you’re stuck with crappy Obama Care.

        • zebo says

          Jan 28, 2015 at 8:00 pm

believe me:health care is a good achievement if you can keep the pharmalobby away and keep it simple and effective and with no room to exploit.Sadly Obamacare(like TTP & TTiP ) was completely designed by the pharmalobby= instead of 100dollar per month, you’ll have to pay 1000.

But you are right:modern fascism (original was roman and i doubt it was socialist)
was left.it was “national socialism” vs “international socialism”.
Both sponsored by bankers from wall street .Hitler was sponsored by the Rockefellers and Prescott Bush(W’s grandpa)
and Trotzky started from New York(after meeting Schiff and jp morgan) to bring communism to russia and kill the czars

The word “fascism” is based on the Latin “fasces” which is the bundle of individual sticks made strong by being bundled with other sticks. But fascism, the movement, is 20th Century.

Both extreme Left and Right are big government supporters who oppose individual liberties. Labeling confuses the issue.

      • Wellington says

        Jan 28, 2015 at 10:00 pm

With respect, Western Canadian, you being someone I ordinarily (actually overwhelmingly) agree with, fascism can also very much be right wing. For instance, I hardly think Franco’s regime in Spain, which was definitely fascist, could be called “left-wing.” Also, after the Night of the Long Knives (June 30, 1934), virtually all of the left-wing elements in Nazism were gone for good other than lip service being paid to them. Thereafter, the right-wing elements, which were also in Nazism from the beginning, were paramount (e.g., German businessmen were allowed to make huge profits, something certainly not left-wing, as long as they didn’t oppose Adolf).

I would argue that both the extreme left and the extreme right are fascist in theory and deed. One thing these two extremes share in common, among so many things, is that they are both haters of liberty. Islam, I submit, is in its theological blueprint a classic right-wing fascist ideology. No surprise though that many far-left people in the West are aligned with Islam. After all, fascists do tend to stick together until they have no others to tear apart but themselves.

I notice they don’t have that much in Europe that passes for what we understand as ‘right wing” if that is even a correct term which i doubt.

European political thought tends usually to be on the Left, Right and Center of the Left. Because of some extreme and imprudent immigration, fiscal and social polices of European governments running their course against the interests and general will of the average European citizens at this moment in history – Europeans are beginning to tentatively form what is more of what we understand as true ‘right wing” groups. It’s a new thing under the sun. It’s nice to see. I wish them well.

“One thing these two extremes share in common, among so many things, is that they are both haters of liberty.”

One thing your post made me think of, Wellington, is that the concept of liberty itself is complex and not a natural inclination of man. The natural inclination is to take the easiest path to your goal, which for aspiring political leaders and plutocrats, means the suppression of truly free speech and enterprise.

Islam, as the most totalitarian and irrational of political systems ever devised, is naturally rabidly against individual liberties. The religions most associated with strong establishments have also had elements suppressing individual thought and expression. The Catholic church comes to mind, although of course, Catholic entities have had strong philosophical discussions of free will.

But, my main point is that liberty itself is a complex philosophy that contains contradictions within itself. For example, can the concept of individual liberty sustain the existence within itself, of a cohesive group devoted fervently to the destruction of liberty itself? Groups are much stronger and more self-reinforcing than individuals. It is a matter of faith, and perhaps misplaced faith, to think that the actions of separate individuals favoring liberty will be sufficient to counter the intention of a disciplined group to destroy liberty from within.

The United States tried to grapple before with the existence of a philosophy opposed to freedom and liberty. Law such as the McCarren Act attempted to balance liberty with rational protections of liberty, but was struck down by the Supreme Court. Yet, this sort of mechanism may be what we need to protect liberty…a well-debated adjustment on liberty with the objective not of advancing one particular philosophy, but of preserving maximum liberty itself against its enemies.

        • Wellington says

          Jan 29, 2015 at 2:48 pm

Your post, RonaldB, reminded me of what Mark Twain said and that is that Americans have the right to do and say almost anything and the good sense not to exercise that right on many occasions. Unfortunately, over the past half century, many Americans have lost that good sense. And liberty without good sense can quickly devolve into a sham version of itself—–license.

So many times when foreigners criticize American freedom (I got this regularly from Chiinese students I taught), what they’re really criticizing is a bastardization of liberty and not liberty working optimally. Liberty must be accompanied by common sense and a sense of decorum. If not, then trouble, including embracing the enormously stupid idea that massive intolerance should be tolerated in the name of liberty even if that massive intolerance (Islam in its “full glroy” as an example) would destroy liberty if given full opportunity.

LIberty is not absolute. It cannot function in a vacuum. It is also precious and even fragile. And it must be balanced with other things, including the necessity of preservation for the self and for the society. But along with love, prosperity, honor and good health it’s right up there at the top of what should be man’s priorities in life.

A very telling slip. Often when posters—including myself at one time or another, I’m sure—accidentally misuse a word, it is usually obvious what word was intended, and the slip has no larger meaning.

Not so here, though. When nationalist used “autocrat”, he likely intended to convey the idea that he is an independent thinker, not swayed by the opinions of others.

But that is *not*, of course, what “autocrat” actually means.

          Mirriam-Webster Dictionary definition:

A person who rules with total power

1: a person (as a monarch) ruling with unlimited authority

2: one who has undisputed influence or power

          http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/autocrat

Given nationalist’s penchant for Fascism, this is particularly unfortunate…

What rot. There is nothing that is not g-rated in these ads. They just dare to tell the truth about Islam’s links to fascism.

And how safe are the commons with ravening Jihadists loose?

An elderly grandmother was beheaded in her London garden. Jewish shoppers were murdered while out grocery shopping in Paris. Hostages were killed at a chocolate cafe in Sydney. Jewish children were murdered at a school in France.

      How safe is this?

      More:

Le Monde was recently hacked by the Jihadist Syrian Electronic Army and they left this phrase.

This is someone saying that he *does not* stand with the victims of violent Jihad, but with their murderers.

By the way, I just got my copy of Charlie Hebdo from my local independent magazine shop. It took some time for their distributor to get copies.

Muslims have no counterarguments but thuggery.

The Mufti of Jerusalem lived in Berlin and advised the Nazis about Jewish persecution.

He continued to encourage anti-Semitism after fleeing Germany as the Nazis were about to lose.

Many high-ranking Nazis went to Muslim countries to hide from prosecution. Many Muslim countries have encouraged the production and sales of anti-Semitic hate literature including Mein Kampf.

The link between Nazism and Islam is undeniable, so these Frisco thugs vandalize to conceal the link and distract from the issue.

Besides the stuff on this thread, here he is referring to criticism of the Holocaust being a “blood libel”—his words—against the Nazis. He leavens his comments with a reference to some Holocaust denial being antisemitic, but it feels pretty pro forma:

Well, all this talk is just great, but it sure seems to have fogged the issue to the point that no one has mentioned what should be the main concern.

IS ANYONE GOING TO REPLACE THE DEFACED SIGNAGE?

In my neighborhood, when graffiti appears, there is an army of neighbors that compete with each other to erase it. I am one. It is actually quite satisfying to erase gang graffiti, and guess what; it REALLY cuts down on this type of activity if it is quickly corrected.

I live in the S.F. Bay Area and would gladly devote my time to replacing these defaced posters – where do I sign up?

    • gravenimage says

      Jan 29, 2015 at 11:17 pm

Sadly, this is not going to happen, Dave. While I have been unable to find anything on MUNI’s official policy, I have heard that such ads are not replaced.

My first boyfriend worked for MUNI at the time as a station agent; I asked him if a badly graffitied ad in the station was going to be replaced, and he told me that it was not MUNI policy to do so, as graffiti was considered normal “wear and tear” in an urban area.

Even though the above is organized, deliberate, and premeditated vandalism, I imagine it comes under that same rubric.

And MUNI would *never* allow non-employees such as ourselves to restore ads, which are either handled by MUNI or subcontracted—ludicrous but true, that would also be considered vandalism.

Welcome to the world of bureaucracy, Dave…

Between Jihad savagery and the deliberate enabling of Jihad savagery one one side and “political correctness” and catch-22 bureaucracy on the other, things can seem pretty grim.

On the other hand, besides the poster above, I’ve heard from several friends that a lot of the ads are still up and are unvandalized, so the message is still getting out. (I’ve been in the city myself, but just haven’t run across any of the busses carrying the ads yet, defaced or not.)

Totally supportive, but my take on this from listening to the critics is that the ad is above their heads. They are literally too stupid to grasp it. The mere sight of Hitler in the ad, and the reptilian parts of their brain take over and any modicum of higher intelligence is overwhelmed by fears of nazi skinheads run amok (a Indonesian jihadist word, btw).
Of course, anyone with even average sense can read the ad is entirely in opposition to such an idea, but reading, or should I say thinking, is a lost art for so many these days, even for those whose job is in the information industry.

“Not only that: Sernoffsky was also praising and encouraging fascism. In the early 1930’s, National Socialist Brownshirts would go to lectures given by anti-Nazi professors and shout them down. The forcible denial of the freedom of speech to those with views that are unacceptable to those in power is a quintessentially fascist act.”

The Nazis were socialists and fascists. Our current leaders are socialists and fascists. Much time has passed since the 30’s but the inclinations of people do not change. These same people today want total gun control as the Nazis did. There are enough parallels to make anyone take note but the socialists/fascists do not care because they are what they are both then and now.

Spencer’s report mentions among the rogue’s gallery (or should I say, peanut gallery) one G. Willow Wilson — “the creator of the Marvel Comics Muslima superhero whose image the fascists used in defacing our ads”.

When one consults Google Images to take a gander at her mug & puss in different moments & poses over the years, one sees that typical look & aura of the white female convert to Islam, the Stockholm Syndrome Stepford Wife Cult Member (reminiscent of that other blonde zombie, former ISNA President Ingrid Mattson); with the added panache of a je ne sais quoi of that soupçon of self-righteous arrogance so typical of the Leftist.

Her résumé as recounted on Wikipedia reveals unfortunately an apparently upward career of pop-art accolades & accomplishments over the years, culminating thus far (and she’s only just past her 30th year) in a major Marvel Comics character ((Mrs. Marvel aka “Kamala Khan”) no doubt in the near future to be featured in a movie (perhaps played by Emma Watson or MIley Cyrus or Selena Gomez with Angelina Jolie playing the mother…).

Most noteworthy is the autobiographical fact that she spent time living in Egypt in her 20s (i.e., post -911 — what would move a young creative woman in her 20s to live in Egypt in the years following 911?), where among other things, she was grantted an audience with Ali Gomaa, one of Islam’s Popes (it has a few), the Grand Mufti of the most prestigious Sunni university in the world, Al-Azhar in Cairo. The byline of her article (with disingenuously disarming cheekiness titled “The Show-Me Shiekh”) published in Atlantic is telling of the stealth-jihad-of-the-pen her upswinging career has been industriously pursuing & promoting:

The grand mufti of Egypt, Ali Gomaa, is peddling a new kind of radical Islam—traditionalism without the extremism

You aren’t wrong, Voeg. Here’s more on this brainless bint:

“So begins Wilson’s new book, The Butterfly Mosque, the story of how an American girl from a secular east coast background converts to Islam, moves halfway around the world, and falls in love- with a culture, a city, a faith, and a man…”

And yes—she went to Egypt *after* 9/11, so this cannot be excused as some Kumbaya-poetry of Rumi-whirling dervish sort of naïve conversion to Islam without understanding how evil it is.

In fact, she even *makes a point* of being “a post-9/11 westerner in the Islamic world”.

And she sneers at the idea that women are oppressed in Islam: “This is of course not to mention the greater American culture which more often than not portrays Muslim women as either victims of a misogynistic theocracy or jihadist conspirators.”

Again, this shows she is not simply some “multicultural” naïf.

And yes, she now wears a Hijab—the slave rag.

This is from an article flogging—pun intended—her new book, “The Butterfly Mosque”. I can only imagine what a load of whitewash and Taqiyya *that* is.

    http://www.bleedingcool.com/2010/06/11/g-willow-wilson-converting-to-islam-and-selling-out-of-comics-by-greg-baldino/

She claims she was the first Westerner to interview Ali Goma’a—here’s her whitewash in The Atlantic:

    http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2005/07/the-show-me-sheikh/304053/

Of course, what she doesn’t tell you about this “Sheikh” is his condemnation of images—including, one presumes, those in comic books and graphic novels—and his support for Hizb’allah, for wife beating, for genocide of the Jews, and for the murder of apostates:

    http://www.jihadwatch.org/2007/07/egypts-top-cleric-denies-saying-that-muslims-could-leave-islam-without-punishment

And now she is trying to sanitize this horror for clueless Westerners—not just the readers of The Atlantic, but kids reading Marvel Comics. *Ugh*.
