Fox, CNN, NBC won’t show Charlie Hebdo Muhammad cartoons

muslimcharliehebdoI don’t see them attached to this Washington Post piece, either. The entire mainstream media is capitulating to jihadist intimidation instead of standing up for the freedom of speech — which freedom, accordingly, is not long for this world.

In its breaking news coverage of the Paris killings at Charlie Hebdo magazine, “Fox & Friends,” the morning show of Fox News, showed a shot of one of the magazine’s controversial cartoons. Yet the network, according to a spokeswoman, has “no plans” to show further examples. Fox News’s decision falls in line with those of other cable news outlets. As reported earlier here and here, CNN has cropped out the provocative drawings from its coverage of the killings. And in an extensive rundown of the news media’s approach to the matter, Rosie Gray and Ellie Hall of BuzzFeed note this policy at the NBC family: “Our NBC News Group Standards team has sent guidance to NBC News, MSNBC, and CNBC not to show headlines or cartoons that could be viewed as insensitive or offensive.”…

    “Yes sir, I’ve abstained from saying or showing anything that could be considered offensive to muslims or islam. I’ve also kept my head down, eyes on the ground, moved to the side of the road whenever a muslim crosses my path… sorry sir, not ‘crosses’, I meant to say whenever I see a muslim going on the opposite direction. I’ve been using the distinctive clothing and harboring muslims in my house whenever they deman.., erm, ask for it. Could you please not slap my neck so hard the next time I pay the jyzia?”

    • And the Italian paper, “Corriere della Sera” (the one that ex-Muslim Magdi Cristiano Allam works for), is going to publish some of them as well.

      This is going to be a litmus test, of sorts.

      *Which* of the main news outlets anywhere in the Lands of the Non-Muslims will publish the pick of the Charlie Hebdo Islamocritical cartoons? And extra points to them if, in addition, they republish alongside them the *Danish* cartoons – most especially Westergaard’s iconic ‘turban-bomb mohammed”.

      Extra points on top of that if they go look in the Hadiths and the Sira and tell their readers where lies the *source* and justification of mohammedan hitmen murdering the critics and mockers of Islam, namely, the stories about conman and warlord Mohammed’s ordering “hits” on pagan Arab poets who criticised him and his band of thieving thugs, back in the day. Let’s see a paper that has the guts to tell its readers that Mohammed was a conman and warlord who ordered and approved of the “rubbing out” – the assassination – of anyone who dared to mock his absurd ‘revelations’ and/ or criticise his evil deeds.

  12. What has become of American journalism and media? They are all cowards.

    Every left leaning media outlet should publish these cartoons on their front cover. The hypocrites only do it when it concerns Christianity or Judaism, but when it is Islam they cower.

    I’m saying this as a left-leaning liberal: the media as a whole are hypocrites and cowards.

  14. Standing around in squares in solemn protest is all very well but…

    There’s is really only one thing to do.

    Reprint the Mohammad cartoons in every publication and website that says it believes in freedom of speech. The editor can even add a rider that he doesn’t personally like the tone of the pictures.

    Shame those who won’t do it till they do.

  17. The US media wonders why it’s ratings are trending downward. Part of the reason is that these days it is just as easy to access information from countries that don’t live in fear and that’s where many of us go because we see that we can’t find the truth at home. So if they don’t wake up soon, no one will be watching or reading self-censored US journalism.

    Not much time for them to wake up and smell the roses.

  18. Oh, so they ARE showing it??! This is terribly dangerous not to! But they do it everytime something like this happens – bow down to islam!! And CNN is one of the worst here!! But it is known, that the muslim dollars – ads for turkey and arabic countries – make them richer!
    I would love to see some HATE from the French people on the streets – through the media, through the news.. instead of this silly plastic coverage.. It’s TERRIBLE..!

  19. Understandable with CNN and NBC, but very dissapointed in FOX.
    Fortunately, the HEBDO Cartoons are all over the Internet (and have been from day one), on MANY Websites, and People are Downloading and Archiving them, should the “New World’s Politically Correct” Apologist, Sympahitic, Pandering Governments, towards the Bloody Murderous Islamic Jihadists, “Ban” and “Outlaw” them as well as “Free Speech”.
    This goes Double for our U.S.A. Obama Administration, and his well Documented Muslim, Islamist Sympathies.

  20. I got the cartoons printed on the front page early yesterday on NBC’s blog Newsvine which is attached to their web page. The feedback against this latest a Islamic assault on civilization and free speech was overwhelming, 310+ comment s but there still were a few liberals defending islamic values.

  23. French authorities are telling people not to overreact to the killings because it will inspire more action by Jihadists. France has already done everything possible to submit to Islamists, but now they’re asked to be even more craven in hopes of being spared.

But if any thing America is no throwing its constitution under the bus to appease Muslim and the left.
