Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

French Prime Minister blames Muslim terror on France’s own “ethnic apartheid”

Jan 21, 2015 2:27 pm By Robert Spencer

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls delivers a speech to present his 50 billion euro savings plan ahead of a vote at the national assembly in ParisValls has been more forthright than most Western leaders in identifying the foe as “radical Islam,” but here he shows that he is just as clueless as the rest of them when it comes to knowing the root causes of Islamic terror. Valls shares the paternalistic assumption that virtually all Western leaders hold: that Islamic jihad terror is the fault of the West, and that Muslims are merely passive reactors to whatever the West does, so all we need to do in order to end jihad terror is change our own behavior. The idea never enters their minds that jihadists may be attacking non-Muslims for reasons of their own that have nothing to do with what non-Muslims do. And since Valls knows nothing about Islam except whatever the French counterparts of John Esposito and Karen Armstrong tell him, he doesn’t know about the supremacist idea that Muslims are the “best of peoples” (Qur’an 3:110) while the unbelievers are the “most vile of created beings” (Qur’an 98:6), and this “ethnic apartheid” is not solely the fault of the French: it stems also from the fact that many Muslims in France and elsewhere in the West have no desire to assimilate, no desire to mix with Infidels and adopt their ways, and intend only to live by Sharia.

So what will happen now is that Valls will shower money on the banlieues, and find to his surprise that Islamic terror continues.

“French Prime Minister Blames Muslim Terror on France’s Own ‘Ethnic Apartheid,’” World Israel News, January 21, 2015 (thanks to Dave):

After suffering long string of Islamic terror attacks in France, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls has found the root of the problem – the French, and their “apartheid” regime ruling over the immigrants in France.

“These last few days have underscored a lot of evil that is gnawing at our country and challenges we must be equal to,” Reuters quotes Valls as saying at a New Year’s address to the media.

Relating to the root of radical Islam in France, Valls said that the French “have to look at all the divisions, the tensions that have been going on for years … the neglect of the suburbs, the ghettos, the social misery,” he said.

Cherif and Said Kouachi, who committed the Charlie Hebdo massacre, and Amedy Coulibaly who murdered four Jews at a Market in Paris, were from the large Muslim immigrant community in France.

“A geographical, social and ethnic apartheid has established itself in our country.” In others words, the root of Islamic hatred is tied in with immigration and social issues, not religion or culture.

Valls called for reforms, which he believes means “fighting relentlessly against the inequalities. We have to battle each day this terrible feeling that there are second class citizens or some people that are more import than others.”…

It’s the system of apartheid in France which enabled the indigenous population to delude themselves for so long that they didn’t have a problem with islam. Charlie Hebdo could never have been published in Britain, for example, because every major town and city (with the exception of a few, quaint white places like Bath and Brighton), has a large muslim population, visible in the town centre. They would have kicked off and rioted when the first cartoon of Mohammed appeared.

The more western countries (or rather, their elites) deceive the Demos the worse they ensure the ultimate conflict will be.

True. There is no real apartheid in France. “Immigrants” may initially be directed to apartments in the Banlieues, but after that Muslims and anyone else can move wherever they like within their budgets.

There are no areas that are barred to Muslims, or any other group.

The fact is that Muslims like to gather in No-Go Zones, where they can consolidate their power and start the process of imposing ipso facto Shari’ah, and terrorizing and driving out any Infidels who might remain in “their” neighborhoods.

When the Persians poured into Hindustan back in the 12th century, they did so because Moslems had suffered at the hands of apartheid in their homeland. This is what Valls meant. Not making sense to you? You can clear things up by remembering all those welfare checks given to Moslems in France as part of its apartheid assault on them.

Exactly. It’s just more “Wah, wah, wah– gimme, gimme, gimme”. I doubt the French are selectively imposing “apartheid” (which is shameful in how casually the term is banded) on Muslims but not Chinese. Read the Koran or listen to some whacky Imams and you’ll quickly learn where this apartheid originates. It’s called Dar al Islam… And the leftists ought to learn the translation of Dar al Harb. Of course, Kerry and others would trip all over themselves stating how it’s all a matter of interpretation, etc.

There is an Islamist Supremacist bent to this whole “apartheid” phenomenon that skips along with anti-Western and anti-white sentiments Islamists know all too well carries massive currency among a political class who despise themselves almost as much as they do their constituencies. Those who mistake kindness for weakness are foul– at least we know who we’re dealing with. Anything ceded to Islamic supremacism is a fool’s errand and the fools need to go.

I’m sure that you are well isolated and that you and your family will enjoy a lifetime of protection and the best of what life has to offer. I’m sure you don’t have muslims as neighbors, and I’m sure your children don’t have them as classmates.

Why don’t you take your compassion and understanding the the next level and ask a newly migrated muslim family – randomly selected – to move in with you for five years? That would be very helpful in getting to know the ways that they are misunderstood and to help them assimilate. In fact, why don’t you encourage all of your neighbors to do the same thing? You can all take personal responsibility for all of this.

Please journal your experience and report back in five years.

There is simply no hope for France or any of Europe. They are doomed to civil war unless the voting population does a complete turn around and vote only for people who speak to truth about Islam. They must acknowledge the facts about what is in the Islamic texts and how the jihadis completely and directly base their actions off of those and the example of Mohammad. It’s right there for anybody to see for themselves, any time they like. This continued head in the sand, complete denial of reality and facts by the leaders of Europe is like some form of madness born out of political correctness dogma. It is creating fear in the streets, destroying Western Civilization bit by bit, taking away peoples liberal rights, and sucking the very blood out of Europe’s economy. This denial of truth has to stop!

“Valls has been more forthright than most Western leaders in identifying the foe as “radical Islam,” but here he shows that he is just as clueless as the rest of them when it comes to knowing the root causes of Islamic terror. ”

This should come as no surprise; the two perspectives — the TMOE meme (the “Tiny Minority of Extremists”) and the Islam-is-not-the-Problem meme — fit hand in glove with each other.

Indeed, they depend symbiotically upon each other (and benefit greatly from another meme held massively, albeit amorphously and semi-consciously by most (ironically) in the West — namely, the West-is-the-source-of-all-significant-world-problems meme).

To the extent that the observer has not yet full grasped the massively fashionable sociopolitical and cultural proportions of the PC MC paradigm, he will continually be surprised by the regularly repeated phenomenon of various Western experts, pundits and political leaders coming out with seemingly robust and no-nonsense statements about the problem of “Islamism” — only to blurt out PC MC burps, farts and other spasms in the next 15 minutes.

    • voegelinian says

      Jan 21, 2015 at 4:51 pm

This really has become a signficant phenomenon in its own right. Namely, the phenomenon of various individuals becoming strenuously anti-Islam — in the form, of course, of being anti-“Islamism” (or anti-“Islamist extremism” or anti-“radical Islamism” or anti-“Salafism” (or anti- any number of the multitudes of various cacophemisms generated for precisely the purposes of this need) — while continuing to defend Islam proper. Indeed, what we see is that in their mind, the two are joined at the hip: they feel they can best defend Islam proper precisely by going so robustly after the artificial truncation into “Islamism” and its various hybrids. And when we realize that what they are actually so anxiously concerned about is not so much defending the abstraction of Islam but rather to defend the multitudes of nice, decent, innocent Muslims-Who-Just-Want-to-Have-a-Sandwich, we begin to see what’s going on with their psycho-logic. Defend them from what? Well, to defend them from their own (tiny minority of) “extremists” — but more importantly, to defend them from the evil white West ever ready to round them up and genocide them.

I examined this in more detail in a previous comment here from August of 2014:

This is an important point—that even many of those who oppose Jihad to a greater or lesser extent have no idea that this is mainstream Islam—or feel they cannot bear to acknowledge that it is—and that this consistently undercuts their efforts.

Speaking of undercutting one’s efforts, though, I read the rest of your comments hoping you would not include some gratuitous and probably off-topic slam at other Anti-Jihadists, but that was too much to hope for.

The fact is that you spend *far* more time here attacking your fellow Anti-Jihadists over shortcomings—real and imagined—than you do actually opposing Jihad.

I have said it before, but France is finished unless they get the National Front in power. The political elite will do all possible to ignore the problem and hope it goes away, but it won’t – demographic factors (ie the massive population boom of muslims) despite being “disadvantaged” as this naive French prime minister would have you believe.

If they are so “disadvantaged” why do they have 4-5-6 children per couple? You know why? because the French people – the tax payers – are paying for their breeding and their eventual takeover. It is all about numbers. This French Prime Minister must cut social security and get the Muslims to move back to North Africa. Get people in from Brazil, Mexico or wherever there are Christians, but not from Islamic countries.

The funny thing is that when I heard him say this I thought he was talking about Muslims, I know my French is not that good but I honestly thought he was referring to the Muslims. Valls tends to shoot at things having had his nose rubbed into reality, then someone gives him a good socialist talking too and he adjusts his stance to be more in line with the socialists.

I am not totally convinced that I misunderstood what he meant by this comment when he first came out with it.

Thanks for that link, Wide Awake. I read some of what the link took me too but I just couldn’t read it all, so silly was it. This Tom Pyszczynski is the worst kind of fool, i.e., an overeducated fool. The man is so silly that that he draws a morally equivalent comparison between bin Laden and President Bush and their policies. He talks in the mumbo-jumbo speak of modern academia, respecting which I know a great deal since I taught at the college level for almost a third of a century. Regular folks really have no idea how foolish higher education has become here in America. This Tom guy could be Exhibit #1 here of this truth.

As for sociologists and sociology per se, I was reminded when reading Pyszdzynski’s gibberish of what my finest history teacher I ever had (his specialty was French history and I took four courses from him and modeled my teaching style after his) said of sociology and psychology, to wit, that one majors in sociology if they secretly hate society and in psychology if they secretly hate themself.

      True then. Still true now.

  17. R Cole says

You can’t really blame people for trying – but the reason many French Muslims don’t join in with the rest of society – where other minority groups are willing – is because do not want to.

Partly it is France’s own fault – they were well aware that many North African Muslims were not assimilating into French culture – and with large numbers unemployed – families were able to marry their children off to spouses in N.Africa and bring them back to France – to also live off the French state – on benefits, dole, welfare.

This is their creation – and possibly – even it was those on the Left – now holier than thou champions of anti-“Islamophobia” – were the very ones who prevented the French state from exercising sensible controls on immigration That were creating ghettos.

The immigration policies are insanity in themselves – understand this – if 1,000,000 Muslim youths come of age in Europe – they can travel or be taken – to North Africa, Africa parts, Pakistan and so on – to marry and bring back a spouse – whom they never met – is often closely related – under the family reunification act.

    This is not reasonable.

Integrate – integrate into what – and for what. Half the households of most Muslim families are often foreign born [they have at least one parent born outside of Europe hence the stark rise in Muslim numbers]. These people will never adjust to Europe like this – nevermind that this immigration policy allows ideas from the old country to be prevalent in any Muslim household. [The battle for ideas begins here]

This is playing with fire – can someone admit we don’t know what we are doing here!

    ::

Here comes the next wave of integration attempts. A round of quick fixes – for everyone!!

What is clear those who wish to integrate – do!

Valls seems to be echoing a recent Amnesty report which apparently claims that “more and more muslims face daily discrimination, forcing them to carve out their own communities outside of mainstream society.”
    Bovine Excrement.
Muslims are INSTRUCTED in the mosques to “carve out their own communities”. It is policy, and was set out in an Islamic guide book about hijra (migration) jihad in 1980 (Patrick Sookhdeo, of Barnabas Fund, cites it).
If there are difficulties (many of them self-imposed) for muslims in finding employment this makes an obvious reason to limit the number of muslim immigrants.

It is a comforting self-delusion for liberal, Western elites to blame the more benighted set of the “we group” (le petit bourgeois, in Valls case?) for the pathologies of the non-West. Back in the days when they protested the 2d Indochina War, our current leaders cheered critiques such as Barbara Tuchman’s scold that Asia was not clay in the hands of the West (she drew on her own experience as a journalist in wartime China)–and then went on to forget such lessons when they themselves came into power.

it seems that the ancient pattern of segregation by creed in North African and Middle Eastern cities may have more to do with Muslim cultural separatism in France and other European countries than any distaste over the West’s long-gone colonialism and color bars. And a France that could absorb and embrace the African ancestry of the authors Dumas pere et fils (and the mulatto general from Martinique grand-father) and provided a home for Sitson Ma (the father of Yo-yo) would probably be wise to refrain from comparing itself to an already fading generation of South African Boers. One would think that after generations of impressive French Orientalists, people like Valls might recognize that it is probably very wounding for a conscientious Muslim psyche to live surrounded by the non-humiliation of the Ahl-al-Kitab. Could it possibly be that the radicalized young men of the banlieux are in fact truly rational, responsible individuals–only they define their rationality and responsibility by a set of axioms wholly foreign to those held by Valls and his ilk?

It is an interesting game that the Leftist mindset plays. On the one hand, the White West is excorciated and rejected for excluding the “Other”; on the other hand, pompous statements designed to make the speaker sound open and brimming with goodwill perpetuate the myth that the “Other” has no ability to act on its own or accept responsibility save by the leave of the White Western (the liberal one, at least).

Note that other immigrants to France do not appear to suffer from such “ethnic apartheid”.

The fact is that Muslims set *themselves* apart—because they have a supremacist creed. And now that they are approaching 10% of the population in France, they—as is always the case in any society—become more violent and more intent on imposing Shari’ah norms, and punishing those who will not comply, like the brave cartoonists at Charlie Hebdo.

The only reason things are worse in France than in some other parts of Europe is that *France has the largest Muslim population* on the continent.

Whatever policies this leads to will likely just further appease—and further embolden—violent, supremacist Muslims. It certainly will not lead to their greater integration in French society, since most of them have no desire to assimilate.

Non-Muslims don’t have to “do” anything, they are already enemies of the Islamic State just by existing. Islam contains an ancient, implacable and preordained hatred of Jews, Christians, women, music, dogs, pigs, you name it. This dedication, were it focused in some constructive and positive direction would be admirable. As it is only vileness and evil are generated.

A cartoon is only an excuse, obviously.

I suspect that most of the politicians “get it.” However, they are professional politicians. Their income (getting elected) often depends upon playing to a small number of swinging voters and / or special interest groups.

When a significant number of voters make this issue No. 1 at the ballot box then many politicians will change their song out of pure self-interest.

We don’t create the apartheid, they do.

Besides, we have less apartheid in the UK than France, and our Muslims blow up trains and buses, instead of using AK47s. Is that an improvement to be proud of?

Face facts, the problem lies at Islam’s door, not our door. The Hindu’s and Jews of the UK also have a degree of apartheid, but do they cause terror everywhere?

The French Prime Minister is talking bull shit, and he knows it. The Prophet (PBUH) told his followers do kill all unbelievers. That was long before there was even a country named France. Muslims don’t go around killing people because they are discriminated. This is their way to discriminate all khafirs. Do away with them, in the name of Allah and the Prophet (PBUH).

Yes, like the good Muslims they are, they refuse to assimilate into French culture and demand that they live under their barbaric sharia law. Muslims do not assimilate; they kill, rape, pillage and conquer.

I think that Muslims do an appartheid on Western population in the countries they go to live! Isn’t it?

I don’t believe this guy. He blames the French for not accepting Muslims who don’t raise their kids to be Frenchmen (or women) but raises them to be good Muslims who will never assimilate to Western culture or Western values and in turn wants special compensation from the host country. That makes a lot of sense.

Betrayed yet again his speech the following day was ugh.

My French is not very good and when I saw him talk about this I thought he was talking about what the Muslims were doing:

“A geographical, social and ethnic apartheid has established itself in our country.”

Notice he said has established itself in our country, so my point of view was that he was talking about Islamic Fundamentalism, but it can be read both ways.

His comments on refusing to accept Islamophobia was correct, the issue is that he is surrouned by so many socialist idiots that even if he has common sense he has to water it down, this happened to him previously.

No this man does sort of get it, I have to believe that!

All these pusillanimous politicians are scared to death that if they say the real blame is radical Islam
the so called ‘moderate Muslims will turn against them and either not vote for them in elections
or rise up and attack the state. Question why of they are really moderates would they do that and secondly might they not welcome some real leadership from the govt. instead of the continuous appeasement they receive, which is seen as weakness.

A classic case of blaming the victim. The politicians created this situation, and they have to blame somebody. For politicians to admit the truth, would be to admit that they are idiots and scoundrels. And that, they dare not do.

The stupidity and treason of our leaders is most annoying. The koranic rules were formulated long before there was a modern Israel, British colonies, or the USA. The koran’s brutal
“rules of engagement” were devised long before islam”s “enemies” came into being as modern national states. Islam has been resurrecting its first crusade, and khalifa Barak is in cahoots with them.

High time that islam is given the Axis treatment — preferably before mullah Barak Hussein declares shjaria law for the USA

Arrogant politicians hate losing face, so even when they know they’re wrong they’re very unlikely to admit it. Maybe they think it’ll make them look weak. In reality, it’s not admitting one is wrong that looks weak. But then, defensiveness was never a rational strategy. What makes politicians in a democracy sit up and take notice is the voters, the will of the people. Which party in USA represents the realists amongst the electorate? If none of them do, then America needs someone like Robert or Pamela to stand for Congress to represent the not so silent majority. Britain has the UKIP, led by Nigel Farage, although the PC brigade try to demonise him or his realistic perspective. No wonder Robert has almost given up on Britain! As for Belgium, well! Muslims are 6% of the population overall (less than in France) but more than 25% in Brussels, the “Capital” of the European Union! Scary, isn’t it? I’m getting pessimistic…..

I forgot to offer a solution. Since an “Apartheid State” seems to develop in countries where Muslims are a minority, the Cure is to deport all Muslims to Muslim-majority States. All the peaceful Muslims will feel at home again (and since Islam is “a Religion of Peace”, the imams will advise their submissive believers to not object), while any Muslims who protest are either Jihadists or “Economic Refugees” (apart from a few who fear for their lives & should consider becoming Apostates, then integrating in Host countries which will declare themselves Islam-Free Zones). Of course, none of this can occur while the PC brigade have so much influence. Any solutions for that bunch of hypocrites? Perhaps a period of time doing Community Service in a Muslim-majority country may induce an awakening !?
