German paper that printed Charlie Hebdo cartoons target of arson attack

Jan 11, 2015 7:27 am By Robert Spencer

hamburg-arsonIt’s an all-out war to destroy the freedom of speech and impose Islam’s blasphemy law restricting negative speech about Islam. And most of the Western media has already surrendered and submitted to this violent intimidation by refusing to run the cartoons.

“German newspaper target of arson attack after printing Charlie Hebdo cartoons,” DW, January 11, 2015 (thanks to C. Cantoni):

A German newspaper in the northern city of Hamburg that reprinted Prophet Muhammad cartoons from French paper Charlie Hebdo has been the target of an apparent arson attack. Authorities said no one was injured.

Police said “rocks and then a burning object” were thrown through rear court-yard windows into archive rooms of Hamburg’s daily newspaper, the Hamburger Morgenpost around 0200 a.m. local time (0100 UTC).

Two people seen acting suspiciously in the area had been taken into custody, as authorities investigated further, police added, refusing to give more information about those detained.

The investigation had been handed to Hamburg city state’s protection service.

Hebdo massacre connection?

The Hamburger Morgenpost had printed three Charlie Hebdo cartoons following last Wednesday’s massacre in Paris. The Morgenpost headline on Thursday had read, “this much freedom must be possible.”…

German media reports the paper reprinted the Charlie Hebdo cartoons. But no connection to the Paris assaults have been established yet. The perps were probably some enraged Buddhists. I’m fed up with being conned. Our politicians and media have no other idea but appeasing muzzies. In Germany the police are protecting mosques right now, instead of protecting critical journalists. The world turned upside down. I’m pissed off.

Instead of *protecting* the mosques the police in Germany should be surprise-raiding and searching the lot of them.

And shutting down – permanently – the ones that are discovered to have illegal and/ or seditions/ treasonous activity going on inside.

Raid (with sudden display of overwhelming force), search – not forgetting to use sniffer dogs trained for detection of cadavers, explosives, and drugs, and then, if anything dodgy is found, after all forensic evidence has been gathered up…dynamite the place and bulldoze it flat.

PS Here’s an idea you could perhaps communicate to the Hamburger Morgenpost – when you write to thank them for having the guts to publish some of the Charlie Hebdo Islamo-mocking cartoons.

Tell *them* to start screaming blue murder – especially in editorials – about the sheer craziness of rushing to protect Muslims and mosques when in fact, right now, the place of a law enforcement and/ or military ring of steel is…outside every major media outlet, *especially* any that have, like Morgenpost, published Charlie Hebdo cartoons, and certainly any and all that have at any time in the past ten years received threats from Muslims. It’s the free press that needs protecting and defending… not Muslims, who are the ones from whom the threat to the free press has manifestly issued.

Why aren’t all these “moderate Muslims” infiltrating suspected mosques, as they know the rituals, and routing out the radicals for us?

This “Most Muslims abhor terrorism” argument would carry a lot more weight such Imams and mosques were brought down by their own attendees.

Has there been even ONE such case?

According to german TV they don’t know if there is a connection to the Paris assaults! This is just unbelievable. How stupid do our media think we are? It wouldn’t surprise me if they try to blame the “Pediga” movement for that arson attack!

Hello, epistemology. I hope you’re doing well and keeping clear of those nasty Buddhists. Really, though, how would you rate the mindset of the German populace as a whole? Are most fed up with the false, soothing words about Islam by German elites or are there still too many Germans going about their daily routines oblivious of what a menace to Germany Islam truly is? Is PEGIDA gaining in popularity significantly? And what about Merkel? I liked it a few years ago when she said that multiculturalism had failed. I thought that signaled a sea change right at the top, but now she makes statements about Islam and Muslims, and those that courageously are trying to point out the truth about Islam and Muslim immigration, that mirror what our clown of a President has been saying about man’s worst religion ever since he entered office back in 2009. Do you really believe that Merkel believes the nonsense she’s spewing?

Again, hope you’re doing well in these extra silly times we live in. At least during WWII and the Cold War we were allowed to name the enemy, even though we didn’t always fight the enemy optimally many times. Now we can’t even name the enemy in this war the West is in—–and the enemy is Islam, all of it. Goofy world. Take care, my friend. Stay safe.

Thanks a lot Wellington, your comment has been as refreshing as ever. But your question is hard to answer. The German media and politicians make a clear-cut difference between Islam and Islamism, the terrorists have got nothing to do with the real Islam which is as we know located with Snow-white and the seven dwarves somewhere under the rainbow.

Back to facts, the Germans didn’t really learn from their past. They want to be nice, multicultural and what have you, but they don’t understand that what they did to the Jews can’t be obliterated by being nice to muzzies. Complete misunderstanding of what’s really going on. But we’ve got a movement here against Islamisation. I’m so sorry for the victims of Paris, as they were killed in the fight against Western freedom of expression. But I hope these atrocities will help to get more people on board against Islam. Tell you more after our next rally in Munich which will be tonight.

Will look forward to your next post, epistemology. I do have to wonder how much longer the games will continue whereby Islam, which is really a kind of spiritual Nazism, continues to get a pass. One has to be quite ignorant to keep giving Islam the benefit of the doubt. All such benefit should have been removed long ago—–in Germany, in America, in Britain, in France, in all the West. Take care, my friend.

Muslims do not celebrate life, they worship death.

There is no god of Allah, Muhammad is his inventor.
Islam’s prayer mat line dance is such a sleazy display.
Washing will not cleanse a Muslim’s sins away.
Yet, Muslims stare at the palms of their hands.
Their hope is based on Allah’s shifting sands.

“Ask not, what Allah can do for you but rather what you can do for Allah,” they are told.
Muslims rot their souls in a bath of hate and emptiness.
Then they die complaining and groveling that Allah is best.
Yet, the worms and beetles that come to feed are never impressed.

One possible response would be to close down, or keep out of the public space, any media that supports the massacre at Charlie Hebdo. This includes those media whose editors have expressed contempt for the victims of the massacre. In particular, closing out Al Jazzera and CNN from the European market for at least a decent period of time might be appropriate. It would reduce pro-terrorist propaganda for starters. And the burned hand teaches best.

Wait a minute, Angry! Not all of us on the left are fooled by Islam & its apologists. I count myself as part of the “radical left,” in that I have long advocated economic democracy. Yet, I’m here, posting on this blog, agreeing with Robert Spencer, dumbledoresarmy, Jay Boo, magooey, & others who passionately & intelligently defend Western Humanitarianism & freedom of expression.
So, I respectfully request that you be more specific in who you blame for this “Main Stream Media & Spineless Government Capitulation.”
Should we not ask ourselves the question that the Roman Republican Cicero routinely asked: “Qui bono? Who benefits?”
Isn’t it more likely the Oil Money Trail?
Or, the Permanent War Economy Trail?
Or the beneficiaries of Disaster Capitalism?
      Or all of the above?
      None of these are left-wingers.
The question remains: Qui bono? Who benefits from the pretending to NOT see the obvious influence of the Koran’s hateful message against infidels? Is it one or more of the above? Or something other?

      • ManchesterLad says

        Jan 11, 2015 at 2:14 pm

Interesting that someone from the left should be posting on here.

I don’t think anyone is benefiting apart from Islam itself through the spreading of Islam throughout the civilised world. Unfortunately, it looks as if the natural progression of successful, liberal societies is towards left-wing elites governing without the ability to see beyond their own smug certainties. “After all, this has worked so far so surely it will carry on working like this for ever?” they think.

This makes us very liable to quiet takeovers by anyone who can press the right buttons to which left-wingers can be guaranteed to react in the ‘right’ way. The ‘victim’ button being the large, red one in the middle unfortunately.

Muslims have worked out how to press these buttons, and keep pressing them. Just like Pavlov’s dogs the reaction from the left is always reliable, always self-satisfied and always non-reflective.

Now that some people are starting to face-up to the issues, I think the left are the biggest obstacle stopping our society from adapting or reacting to the threat. Western culture seems to be literally frozen in its inability or unwillingness to admit what so many can see.

It’s not so much “the emperor has no clothes”, but more “the emperor has no clothes and he has just beheaded a bus full of school children after raping everyone under 11”.

@ManchesterLad, I’m glad to post here because I’m very much interested in supporting freedom of speech & democracy (economic & otherwise), & also contributing to a serious dialog about what can be done about the threat to our Western cultural & political values.
I confess I was one of the majority of foolish voters who voted for the Muslim-loving Obama. So did something like 70% of the Jewish voters, from what I read. But none of us are benefiting.
          Qui bono? Who is benefiting?
Obama is a “post turtle,” and couldn’t have gotten to where he is without a lot of monetary & political help. My reading tells me Soros, the currency manipulator, and his friends put up the millions to get Obama elected. They somehow are benefiting. I see then as a cabal of “disaster capitalist.”.
We need a strategy that goes beyond naming and blaming to fix this situation. Robert Spencer & Bill Maher and the dialoggers on this blog are helping us get clear-headed.
This is a crisis that involves both First & Second Amendment rights. We must give up neither.
But mostly it requires clear thinking, & a sensible strategy.
That strategy will most probably involve winning over ex-Muslims who want to escape from the suffocating, Mafia-like hold on most Muslims.
What do you, & others, suggest?
          FarmerMike

Congratulations to Spencer. He’s not in this for a career or self-aggrandizement, but still congratulations to him for his appearances on Fox RINO the last two days. Congratulations to all of us in here, too, for being able to speak the truth, if only under a screen name.

This is a propitious time, we’re at a “lynch pin” moment where the mass Infidel mind is open to capitulation. That term was just used by some dude in named Jeremiah on Fox RINO (it’s 8:20 CT here), who quickly went on to denounce radical Islam and extremism and a “strain” of Islam that has gotten as bad as Christianity was when it launched “brutal” attacks on innocent Moslems during the Crusades. He praised the surreal mass demonstration by a million Infidels in Paris right now. He also said that it makes sense in this lynch pin moment for the major media outlets to not print the cartoons because nobody needs a major security problem or even a tragedy during this critical moment.

I say surreal because if they were serious the slogan would be the cartoons, a bold and loud implicit statement of “we are unafraid.” And this televised “expert” idiot Jeremiah would just shut the hell up with his self-serving cowardly nonsense.

But they are afraid, as are their leaders, as are all the news entertainers like Jeremiah, and Walid Phares, who just delivered his perspective that Islam itself is not the source, but a perversion of it.

All of them, all of us, afraid to tell the truth. Terrorized, really. The obvious truth is strictly off limits. Watch for what is done after the next big attack, which many predict will be at least ten times bigger than 9/11. When that happens, will the “dialog” still just be just about whether it’s fair to speak out against a strain of Islam, or speak out against Islam itself?

Except when you’re at “war” with a religion. There is a reserve status for religions because that’s between you and the sky, with each believer looking for a purpose on earth and reconciliation with the cosmos.

True, the Moslems seem to be all about the here and now, and not the cosmos, and, true, Islam’s not a religion, per se, it’s also government and military, but still.

BSP leader Yakoob Qureshi offers to pay Rs 51 crore to Charlie Hebdo attackers
    Meerut/Lucknow, Jan 8, 2015 (PTI)
Bahujan Samaj Party leader Haji Yakoob Qureshi. Screen Grab
Former Uttar Pradesh minister and BSP leader Haji Yakub Qureshi today courted controversy when he sought to defend the terror attack on French satiricial magazine Charlie Hebdo, saying whoever shows disrespect to the Prophet will invite death.

“Prophet Mohammad had conveyed a message of peace to the entire world and if anyone makes certain cartoons on him will invite death like the cartoonists and journalists in Paris,” Qureshi said in comments that came at a time when the massacre came in for allround condemnation across the world.

Qureshi, however, denied reports in which he was stated to have said that he will reward the attackers who killed Charlie Hebdo’s Editor and cartoonist of the controversial Prophet poster with Rs 51 crore.

“I have not made any such announcement regarding the attack in Paris,” he claimed.
Four of France’s most famous cartoonists were among the dozen people killed yesterday when gunmen attacked the Paris office of Charlie Hebdo.

Reacting to the statements by Qureshi, Uttar Pradesh’s IGP(Law and Order) A Satish Ganesh said if anything like this has been stated then action will be taken by authorities.

“In our country no one has the right to violate law and order. If anything like that has been stated we will take action. No one will be allowed to violate the law and order,” Ganesh said. The top police officer, however, said he was yet to see the statement.

In 2006, Qureshi had stoked a huge controversy when he declared a reward of Rs 51 crore for anyone who would kill the Danish cartoonist who had created a controversial cartoon of Prophet Mohammed. He had made the offer at a public rally in Meerut.
