Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

International Union of Muslim Scholars calls on UN to criminalize “contempt of religions”

Jan 21, 2015 12:55 pm By Robert Spencer

Chairman of the International Union of Muslim Scholars Youssef al-Qaradawi speaks during a news conference in Doha“In a statement released Tuesday, the union said there should be protection for ‘prophets’ and urged Islamic countries to submit a draft law to the UN calling for defamation of religions to be outlawed.” You’ll notice that the International Union of Muslim Scholars isn’t saying that there should be protection for the freedom of speech and urging Islamic countries to submit a draft law to the UN calling for blasphemy laws to be outlawed. But remember: the problem is just with a tiny minority of extremists, and there are extremists of all faiths!

“Muslim scholars urge UN to outlaw ‘contempt’ of religions,” AFP, January 21, 2015 (thanks to Lookmann):

A leading Islamic organisation has called on the United Nations to make “contempt of religions” illegal and urged the West to protect Muslim communities following the attack on French magazine Charlie Hebdo.

The Qatar-based International Union of Muslim Scholars, headed by influential preacher Yusuf al-Qaradawi, appealed to Muslims to continue peaceful protests against images of the Prophet Mohammed but “not to resort to any violence”.

The latest cartoon of the prophet in Charlie Hebdo has angered many Muslims and triggered protests in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

In a statement released Tuesday, the union said there should be protection for “prophets” and urged Islamic countries to submit a draft law to the UN calling for defamation of religions to be outlawed.

The union said the UN should then issue a “law criminalising contempt of religions and the prophets and all the holy sites”.

It also called for the West “to protect Muslim communities from attacks, whether they are citizens or residents or visitors”.

The union has condemned the publication of a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed holding a “Je suis Charlie” sign under the headline “All is forgiven” in the first Charlie Hebdo edition since Islamist gunmen killed 12 people in an attack on its offices.

It said that the new drawing would give “credibility” to the idea that “the West is against Islam” and warned the image would incite further hatred.

Qaradawi, 88, is seen as a spiritual guide of Egypt’s banned Muslim Brotherhood, the movement of ousted former president Mohamed Morsi.

Make it an ex post facto law. Muslims have desecrated tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of temples and prayer places belonging to other religions – and that’s without even getting into the material in the quran and ahadith that lies about and vilifies other religions. Let’s sue the bastards so hard that their descendants thousands of years from now will still be paying for it.

It also called for the West “to protect Muslim communities from attacks, whether they are citizens or residents or visitors”.

Sure thing. Tell ya what? We’ll get all our law enforcement agencies that aren’t investigating at least one case of muslims plotting to attack us, be it foreign terrorists of homegrow terrorists, protecting muslims. Is that good enough for you, Beardly Mckufiyahead?

Mohammed provides the “beautiful pattern [of conduct] to follow” (Koran 33:21).
    His contemporaries complained that he

This is what they said of him:

It’s real simple, following the example left to us by Mohammed, criticism of Islam is a death sentence. In its purest form, normative Islam relative to the behavior of Mohammed is incitement to murder and violence, regarding free speech. Criminalizing speech doesn’t change these facts, or make them go away.

That initiative is only ever intended to protect one ideology … that is not even worth protecting. In any case, the un is hopeless at best, but useless in reality – all talk and near zero effective action. Also, protecting/defending Jews and the Jewish state of Israel is evidently against un practices and frowned upon. Just look at the un (selective) human rights organ.

It is true that the uk was deeply involved in Kosovo with un’s blessing. However, Kosovo was a nato operation which would not have been possible without the active support of major nato powers, namely US, uk and to a lesser degree France. Russians would have loved to get involved but was not in the position to intervene directly then (militarily weak and disorganized plus yeltsin was president) just like nato is not in the position to intervene in eastern Ukraine now. (A note: while nato’s official involvement in kosovo was to “protect” civilians, its actions could be seen as a wider effort to subjugate Serbia under nato/eu sphere of influence. nato and eu wish to eliminate Russian sympathetic states in the Balkans and keep all parts of Europe west of Ukraine and Belorussia firmly under nato/eu control.)

What this all boils down to is that un mandates and initiatives are useless unless they are backed up by member states with some degree of power and influence willing to enforce them. The un itself is powerless to act without the support of members. The security council is a example. In any case, it is generally not the un that takes meaningful actions first in order to lead member states, but the other way around. Although obama may like to sign over the bill of rights to the un, it is unclear if the American people or congress would allow him to so. As for the rest of dhimmified Europe, the situation is more precarious as there are already some self imposed blasphemy rules in place. Quite likely any such nonsense un blasphemy mandates may be seen as a formality, unfortunately.

Is not the criminalization of Christianity in many Muslim countries ‘Contempt of Religion’.
Is not the contant Muslim outlawing and ridiculing of Christian symbols and people contempt ?
Is not refering to Jews (as a religion and a people) as “Descendants of Apes and Pigs” contempt ?
Is not refering to Kafir and other non-believers as “filthy..” and “vile..”, contempt ?
Is not the very real threat of arrest, abuse and often death for apostates of Islam contempt for the religion and spiritual ideals of the individuals persecuted by Muslims ?
Muslims are by far the greatest offender.

As for contempt for Islam, it is certainly justified. How can people consider a plundering, murderous, warlord pedophile a prophet ?

The offensive, brutal, primitive, misogynistic, tribalistic, Bronze-Age amorality of Islam is the most repulsive aspect of Islam which cries out to a logical person that it cannot possibly be true.

Secondly, the repulsive, opportunistic, amoral character of Mohammed is something only a sociopath could love.

Thirdly, the doctrine of jihad is inseparable from Islam which further denounces Islam as an ideology of supremacism.

Islam is the mother lode of bad ideas.

For many other reasons as well, Islam must be put under the microscope of criticism and dragged into the court of world opinion and totally and irrevocably banished from the civilized world.

What those Muslim scholars who say they want to “criminalize contempt of religions” really mean the they want to criminalize all criticism of Islam. It might be noticed that many Muslim scholars do ,in fact criticize all other religions except Islam. nevertheless, What they want to do only exposes the reality that Islam is so very weak in nature that it can’t stand up to criticism. In other words the imams and other scholars of Islam have no real actual sound arguments based on reason or logic to defend Islam so they have to resort to coercion to intimate the critics of Islam into silence.

How about the idea that Islam is against the West? Now where might I dredge up an idea like that? The latest spate of terror attacks by Muslim jihadists perhaps? I could get that idea from the numbers of vocal clerics who call for an end to the West. That’s possible. How about the slogans on the signs they hold at protests, things like “Death to the West” or “We will DESTROY Great Britain”–those could also do some damage to the reputation of Islam vis-a-vis the West.

In his weekly religious ruling show on the Qatari Al-Jazeera TV, Sheikh Yousuf Al-Qaradhawi blamed American culture and Judaism for spreading violence in the world. Following are excerpts from his comments:

Dr. Al-Qaradhawi: Violence exists everywhere and terrorism exists everywhere, even within America, and America may be one of the reasons for the spreading of the violent ideology around the world because of the culture it spreads, violent films, the violent TV series, westerns… This is America and even the children… We have seen children shooting their classmates.

Judaism is the No. 1 propagator of violence. As I said in the last program, the Torah itself states that when you enter a certain country, you must offer peace, and if they agree, all their residents are your slaves. In other countries, you should not offer peace or conversion. You must destroy them all, do not leave a living soul. In the first country you must slay all males and leave only the women, but in the second country, you must not leave… you must uproot them. This is in Judaism, in the Torah.”

The only thing that catches the politicians attention is what gets in the media. Think of what the Muslims would do when they have a real grievance, and copy their tactics. I can’t be any clearer than that. Nothing else will work. PEGIDA got some attention, but Merkel is clamping down them, for the sake of their own safety, of course, not to restrict freedom of speech or anything.

International Union of Muslim Scholars calls on UN to criminalize “contempt of religions”
    ……………………………..

“Religions”—yeah, right. As though Jews, or Christians, or Hindus, or Buddhists, or anyone else besides Muslims were clamoring for this crushing of freedom of speech.

Even more grotesque is the fact the Muslims regularly show their contempt for the religion of others—and not through irreverent cartoons, but by blowing up churches and destroying temples, often along with their worshippers.

The truth is that there is no freedom of religion in *any* Muslim country—and in the most Islamic, no non-Muslim is allowed to worship openly at all, and is even subjected to arrest or worse if they worship in their own homes.

This ‘respect’ for religion is purely a one-way street.

But they hope they can snow the UN—which, historically, has not been all that difficult.

    More:

A leading Islamic organisation has called on the United Nations to make “contempt of religions” illegal and urged the West to protect Muslim communities following the attack on French magazine Charlie Hebdo.
    ……………………………..

Notice—they aren’t saying “Je Suis Charlie”—instead, they are trying to achieve the goals *of their murderers*: to shut up any criticism or even questioning of Islam.

    More:

In a statement released Tuesday, the union said there should be protection for “prophets” and urged Islamic countries to submit a draft law to the UN calling for defamation of religions to be outlawed.
    ……………………………..

Funny that Jews and Christians do not feel prophets need “protection”. And while Muslims *occasionally* get their panties in a bunch over depictions of other prophets—as they did recently over the movie “Noah”—when they speak of “prophets” they usually just mean the Muslim “Prophet” Muhammed, and no one else.

    More:

It also called for the West “to protect Muslim communities from attacks, whether they are citizens or residents or visitors”.
    ……………………………..

How grotesque is this, predictable as it has become? His own coreligionists murder Infidel cartoonists and Jews, and Muslims call for Muslims to be protected from phantom “backlash” attacks from Kuffars. He is not calling for protection for Infidels.

And even as this charade is going on, his fellow Muslims have been plotting the murder of more Infidels.

    More:

The union has condemned the publication of a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed holding a “Je suis Charlie” sign under the headline “All is forgiven” in the first Charlie Hebdo edition since Islamist gunmen killed 12 people in an attack on its offices.

It said that the new drawing would give “credibility” to the idea that “the West is against Islam” and warned the image would incite further hatred.
    ……………………………..

Some here have—possibly with good reason, I’m afraid—questioned whether the “all is forgiven” line might constitute appeasement and dhimmitude.

I noted that whatever its precise meaning, that Muslims would regard *any* further Charlie Hebdo “Mohammed” cartoons as resistance to Islam and another cause for offense—and I was right.

Does Yusuf al-Qaradawi show respect for other religions? Here’s what he has had to say about Judaism:

“Judaism is the No. 1 propagator of violence….the Torah itself states that when you enter a certain country, you must offer peace, and if they agree, all their residents are your slaves. In other countries, you should not offer peace or conversion…”

Hmmm…that sounds pretty contemptuous to me. Not only that, of course—this is nothing but projection, since this is what *Islam* demands, not Judaism.

And it is not just lack of respect: here he is, calling for the genocide of the Jews, just five years ago:

“O Allah, take your enemies, the enemies of Islam. O Allah, take the Jews, the treacherous aggressors. O Allah, take this profligate, cunning, arrogant band of people. O Allah, they have spread much tyranny and corruption in the land. Pour Your wrath upon them, O our God. Lie in wait for them. O Allah…”

More calls for the extermination of Judaism:

“Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the Jews people who would punish them for their corruption … The last punishment was carried out by Hitler..This was divine punishment for them…. Allah Willing, the next time will be at the hand of the believers..”

So he believes not only that all Jews should be exterminated, but that Muslims should be the ones to wipe them out.

And when he heard that Sheikh Admad Hassoun, the Grand Mufti of Syria, had at one time said to an American delegation: “If [Muslim prophet] Muhammad asked me to reject Christianity or Judaism, I would have rejected him.”

    Qaradawi responded:

“No scholar of Islam, or even an average Muslim would ever say such words. If you believe that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, then you must obey him—for he does not command except that which is good. So, even if he tells you to kill, you must…”

Again, this doesn’t sound very respectful of other religions…

He also emphasized that the Muslim “Jesus”—”Isa”—will “break the cross and kill the pigs”; in other words, he will kill Christians. This is mainstream Islam, and, again, not exactly respectful of Christianity.

    http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/3461/qaradawi-murder

And he has openly said that Islam should conquer the West:

“What remains, then, is to conquer Rome. The second part of the omen. ‘The city of Hiraq [once emperor of Constantinople] will be conquered first,’ so what remains is to conquer Rome. This means that Islam will come back to Europe for the third time, after it was expelled from it twice… Conquest through Da’wa [proselytizing] that is what we hope for. We will conquer Europe, we will conquer America!”

Clearly, the idea that he is calling for any sort of respect for al religions is simpl;y ludicrous.

Qaradawi : “If you believe that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah …” Qaradawi thinks that disbelief in Muhammad as the messenger of Allah is worthy of killing, yet he wants tolerance for his own beliefs. Truly incredible, in fact, insane.

But not uncommon, mach37. This is, in fact, the mainstream Muslim stance.

The best way to fight intolerance is to tolerate others. The best way to exist is to give others the right to live. If you impose your ways on others, they will resist and one way of resistance is by hatred to whatever you stand for. Human beings are not fools. If other religions do not have right to co-exist with your , yours would not deserve any respect. If those religious protagonists do not know, people might be cowed , but they hate them. That I fear to talk does not confer holiness on you or what or who you rever it only makes me to see the limit of your power and deride you and no law can stop it as no law has stopped racism. If Islam or Christianity want respect for their prophets; they they should respect others too and not impose jihad or Armageddon us. The greatest blasphemers are those who called their religions “religion of peace” or their prophet ‘prince of peace’ but everywhere their hands are soaked with human blood. They do not only blaspheme themselves but blaspheme their prophets who cannot save but can only be appeased with human blood. Sincerely, with the level of atrocities perpetrated in the name of these so called “religions of peace which have left the world in pieces”, one cannot but wonder whether these their prophets do not thrive on blood. If your religion cannot solve the problems of the world at its inception, then it has failed in solving the problems of the world therefore it does not worth it. You call others infidels and murder them , have you not become worse than infidels. These two “great religions’ have done enough damage to humanity to make human envy beasts. If blood and fire are what these religions have to offer, one rather be a true infidel. The religions thrive on the throes of other religions and cheapens human lives. From hither to thither they spew corruption, murder, genocide, hate to appease their prophets and saints who cannot defend themselves. They are idolaters whose gods cannot defend but have to defend their gods to defend them. The more these religions thrive the more blood their prophets demand, the more corruption in the world, the more genocide and strive. Murderous bunch!

I think that if you take the time to learn about them, you’ll find that the concepts of “jihad” and “Armageddon” are not similar at all, that both muslims and Christians believe in Armageddon, and that Christians aren’t trying to impose Armageddon on anyone, unlike, for example, shiites in Iran. Shiites believe that in a time where muslims are suffering the 12th imam will return, bring Isa (the islamic knock-off version of Jesus) with him, break all the crosses, destroy all other religions and islamize the whole world. Of course, there’s nothing in the prophecy saying that muslims can’t bring the suffering on themselves like, for example, acquiring a nuke and bombing Israel, which is something Iranian leaders have stated often – that they’ll get their hands on a nuke and bomb Israel.

“The greatest blasphemers are those who called their religions “religion of peace””

Describing islam as “the religion of peace” is a Western invention. Of course, muslims willingly go along with it, and say that all they want is peace. But, in a textbook case of Orwellian doublespeak, by “peace” they mean “everyone becomes a muslim or keep their religion and live in conformity with sharia law”. Living in conformity with sharia aw would be something like this:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XmxgKznqpo

“Sincerely, with the level of atrocities perpetrated in the name of these so called “religions of peace which have left the world in pieces””

There’s a difference between doing something in the name of and doing something because you’re mandated to do so. You’re not even oversimplifying, you’re getting two different concepts and claiming they’re the same thing.

“These two “great religions’ have done enough damage to humanity to make human envy beasts.”

And yet, the Christian part of the world has historically driven mankind to great heights (literally to the Moon), even though they had to fend off muslim attacks for centuries. The islamic part of the world, on the other hand, has nothing to show for it other than a culture that discriminates against anyone who isn’t a male muslim of the same sect.

When UN criminalizes contempt of not-Islam religions of other peoples by Muslims? When UN criminalizes Quran doctrine for blessed by it beheading, stonning, crucifying, raping, burning alive, slaving, shooting to death, eating hearts of infidels and destroying their temples? It is time Islam terror to be stopped! For decades, we have been reading and watching their atrocities all around the Earth. They never hide them – they are proud of them. And UN mums!?!?
When muslim Infidelophobia will face world tribunal?

Time to put the United Nations in the Obsolete Bin of History. Tear up all our Treaties and Agreements. Then look at it for what it is, An Islamic Boys Club, Contributing to the Demise of Western Civilization.

And once it’s done, they will no longer quote from their qur’an that Jesus was not crucified, that Jews are apes & pigs, that Christians should be killed, that people who believe in more than one god should be killed …

Tarnishing other Religions is part of Islamic Life Practice. Others only React to the Islamic Insults. If Muslims Refrain from Insulting others, No Reaction will be there.

I call for all law makers to criminalize contempt of lying.
    Oh wait! It already is!

I guess we can start by outlawing Islam then. It doctrinally holds all other religions in contempt.

But what about all the passages in the Koran and the Hadiths that defame Judaism and Christianity? Islam itself would be in contempt if this law was passed.

If attacks on religion are to be stifled, then all the unholy korans would have to be burned, or hidden from public view at the very least!

Would “contempt of religions” include Muslims who spit on Jews, Who burn churches and crucify Christians, and all the Muslim run countries that put you in jail for having a bible? Or the Iranian tv shows that teach children to hate and kill Jews. How about the Muslims parents that kill their own children that have converted to Christianity? There is no bigger contempt than that.

Islam has some real problems that should be discussed and CRITICIZED. Muslims, even mullahs, are unable to defend Islam is a debate because it it’s so repulsive, unhistorical and amoral.

The Islamophobia slur is merely a distraction from the issues. Some of those issues are:

1 No Golden Rule 2 No free speech 3 No democracy 4 Jihad – holy war of supremacism 5 Honour killings 6 Taqiyya – sacred lying 7 Taqlid – group think 8 Misogyny – repression of women 9 Rape of kafirs as jihad prizes 10 Genocide 11 Ethnic cleansing 12 Al-Walaa wal-Baraa – Islamic apartheid 13 Torture 14 Plundering 15 Cruel and unusual punishments 16 Backwardness – stagnation 17 Violence against women 18 Slavery 19 discriminatory Sharia law

Islam is the mother lode of bad ideas and should be discussed, analyzed, critiqued, exposed and rejected by decent people.

The cruelty in Islam can only appeal to sadistic, psychopathic personalities.

What the International Union of so called “Scholars” is really calling for is to Criminallize “Contempt” for ISLAM, which (based on World events) is a Bloody, Murdering so called “Religion”, which is NOT a “Religion, i.e. “”It’s a movement to take over the world by force. A global caliphate is the objective. That’s why Islam would not qualify for First Amendment protection since it’s a geopolitical system, and is Antithetical to the U.S. Constitution” as Islam ALREADY has Contempt for ALL OTHER Religions OTHER than ISLAM.
