Unfortunately, I wouldn’t count on it. Remember a few years ago when Muslims kidnapped a Coptic cleric’s wife, claimed she converted to Islam, then accused Copts of wanting to abduct a Muslim when they tried to get Egyptian authorities to free her?
Until I see it in action, I’m going to be very leery of laws like this in Dar-al-Islam that superficially sound good. I know how Islam can not just twist things, but actually invert them.

The quote from chapter 2 paragraph 16 that he chose out of context of the whole seems to imply that Muslims and Christians are much the same — yet the very next chapter begins mentioning the Trinity of which Muslims violently reject.
The opening paragraph of Chapter 1 speaks about (unity) of the whole human race.
But this ‘unity’ does not make any special allowance for Islam’s ideology in place of Christ.
Quite the opposite.

This does not surprise me. This is classic Islam—kidnap and terrorize powerless people, and claim that *they* are the aggressors.
I pray for their safety—but no Christian is safe in Libya these days—or in many other parts of the Muslim world.
