Video of the actual talk I gave at our Free Speech Rally in Garland, Texas has not surfaced. If anyone has it, please contact me at director@jihadwatch.org. In the meantime, here is a brief interview I did with Damon “Runyan” Rosen of United West, and The Blaze story about it.
“Jihad Watch Director Has Sharp Words for Texas Conference Titled ‘Stand With the Prophet Against Terror and Hate,’” by Dave Urbanski, The Blaze, January 17, 2015:
While reportedly thousands of protesters and counter-protesters stood outside an anti-Islamophobia conference in Texas on Saturday, the director of Jihad Watch — which identifies and critiques Islamic extremism — spoke sharply regarding what he said is the event’s real intent.
“Stand With the Prophet Against Terror and Hate” has been billed as a fundraiser for a center to teach Muslims how to combat negative depictions of their faith, KXAS-TV in Dallas reported.
But Robert Spencer said that while the event is “dedicated to eradicating Islamophobia,” what that phrase really means is “dedicated to eradicating any honest discussion of how Islamic jihadists use the text[s] and teachings of Islam to justify terror and hatred.”
Spencer, the director of Jihad watch, added: “They have too long controlled the discourse and shut down any honest examination of the motives and goals of terrorists by crying ‘Islamophobia.’”…

Islamic supremacists must be worried.
First Bill Maher and now even Huffington Post has had enough of their hatefulness.
Huff Post published Muhammad cartoons even when CNN did not.

If the United States prevails against jihad, and we manage to eventually elect leaders who tell the truth, Robert and Pam will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in a joint session of Congress.
As it stands currently, those extraordinarily brave, tireless 24/7 persons are — with the energy they devote and the time they give — doing the work of TEN persons.
Absolutely a blessing we somehow got put into our comfy privileged life of liberty, and I give thanks every day to my own version of the Creator — as Islam revs up at a pace bordering on incredible.

And to end any discussion about Islam and or Mohammed at all. The use of any discussion will by anyone
seen as even if indirectly associated with Islam or Mo’, seen as an attack and unjustified. So… if someone posts the reality that not all muslims are terrorists, but most terrorists are muslims that will, if blasphemy laws are passed, will be seen as hateful or unlawful and to be disallowed. That is the intent of the current push by the west and all muslim nations. Also, if say, some begins a discussion regarding the fact that some 61% of the Qu’ran discusses what to do with and to infidels, that too would be seen as too biased.
It’s not merely the idea that picturing Mohammed would be banned, but rather any critique and discussion that if unfavorable to Mohammed would be seen as criminal.
That is the take away lesson this week. People will be even more desperate to annoint some muslims as moderates, who have little or no following, and people like Sisi, who while sane enough to want the hamasistans to be unsupported and deprived of legitimacy and lauded for their ‘moderation’ will not be allowed to be seen as the supporters of a muslim caliphate which he most assuredly is, as has been recently documented by Andrew Bostom.
That’s what so disturbing, because for example, there is no discussion of the thousand of so homes to be moved so that they aren’t a source of treachery against egypt in the sinai border area. But Israel is demonized as they have been for years if they go after houses with tunnels exiting in them that are used to destroy jews. In other words, the sad and wrongheaded attempt to find the unicorn moderate muslims will take place as the western leaders desperately legislate the business of finding out ‘terrorists’ without ever mentioning the word Islam, or Mohammed, who amongst the some 100 plus Jihad war against unbeliever sura’s in his book, famously said ‘I have been made victorious thru terror’.
Several thousands slaughtered and their churches burned in Nigeria this week. Last week four jews slaughtered for merely being jews, and not one ceremony by these western leaders to show their anger at the muslims who did this and who teach their populations that this is holy.
And Jimmy Carter, who said the serial murders in Paris were a chance for non muslims to discover what is special about Islam to those 1.5 billions who are muslims. I already know what’s special about it.
Anyone who leaves islam is an apostate to be killed. Anyone who criticizes Islam or Mohammed will be seen as creating a criminal act.

I don’t know about the HuffPost – often when I post comments drawing attention to how Islamic texts promote violence they seem to disappear. It’s possible it’s just that I can’t find them again due to the confusing way they nest their posts, with many replies not being visible unless you click to open parts of the comments threads, but I definitely think their mods seem to be deleting my more strongly critical ones on a regular basis. It’s frustrating because I see other ones that stay there that are just as critical. I don’t know if they have me flagged as some kind of “islamophobe” whose posts they censor, or maybe I’m just being paranoid… :-/

Was anyone (free speech advocate) able to attend? I’d love to know how their agenda played out.

Is this a kind of propaganda among themselves or is it just a muppets show ?

I was at the event. And I do have a suggestion for events of this type in the future, and how to preserve the speeches. I can testify that Pamela’s speech was inspiring and that she had the crowd with her all the way. Robert, as usual, gave a learned, accurate, and clear explanation of the real issues and the stakes involved.
Here is my suggestion. There were a lot of problems that day. The loudspeaker system, which was actually not bad, simply cut out in the middle of the followup speech by a leader of Texas Grassroots. Now, it turns out to be difficult to find a video of the speeches.
I suggest that in cases like this, Robert, Pamela, and whoever else is speaking, simply record the audio on cell phones. Audio by itself is much easier to work than combined audio and video. Once you have the audio, you can easily combine it with still pictures of the event, to produce a dramatic presentation that is dependent on two simple effects (audio and snapshots), rather than one complex effect (video, combining streaming pictures and adequate sound).

Too true and ‘Islamophobia ‘is just one card they play in order to ‘play the victim’ and thereby remain in the coalition of the new left.
