Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Sharia France: Artwork violating Islamic blasphemy law removed from Paris exhibition after Muslim threats

Jan 28, 2015 1:53 pm By Robert Spencer

Zoulikha BouabdellahThe more the West kowtows to jihadist intimidation and thuggery, the more jihadist intimidation and thuggery it will get. The Charlie Hebdo jihad massacre is proving to have been a great victory for the jihadists: now they are getting non-Muslims in France and elsewhere to curtail their behavior to conform to Sharia blasphemy laws.

“‘Blasphemous’ artwork removed from Paris exhibition,” by David Chazan, the Telegraph, January 28, 2015 (thanks to Banafsheh):

An artwork depicting high-heeled shoes on Islamic prayer mats has been removed from an exhibition after a Muslim group warned of possible violence in the wake of the Paris attacks.

The French-Algerian artist, Zoulikha Bouabdellah, withdrew the work from an exhibition in a northern Paris suburb with a large Muslim population after an Islamic group told local authorities it could provoke “uncontrollable, irresponsible incidents”.

It is considered disrespectful to step on Muslim prayer maps with shoes.

Ms Bouabdellah has replaced the artwork, “Silence”, previously exhibited in Paris, New York, Berlin and Madrid, with a video installation showing belly-dancing to the French national anthem, with swirling red, white and blue shawls symbolising the national flag….

Ms Bouabdellah, 37, said on Wednesday that the “lack of understanding” of her work was probably related to “heightened emotions” after the attacks.

“I’m left wondering at the reasons that push a certain fringe among French Muslims to see this work as blasphemous,” she said. “I’m from a Muslim background and my intention was not to shock or provoke, but to offer a vision as a starting point for a dialogue.”…

Where is the courage of that glorious moment the french stood with their Je Suis Charlie signs?! How quickly they have sunk back to quivering fear and submission!!

There will be NO change without passion and commitment for change!

It is no longer Je Suis Charlie – it’s Je Suis Charlie Martel!!!!!

Yeah, but notice that the crowd on that day held signs only with the slogan. Nobody dared put cartoons lampooning the Holy Prophet on them.

The lesson has been well taught to the French and the rest of Europe. And in North America and Down Under. Yeah, it’s ok to blab about freedom of speech, but don’t dare use it, at least not when it comes to criticizing Moslems and their Holy Prophet Mohammed. Nobody wants to die, least of all a newspaper editor or a Fox News producer. And not publishing the cartoons was an easy decision for this crowd, because their position for decades has been that Islam is one of the world’s great religions, and thus that lampooning the Holy Prophet is uncalled for.

In this it can be said that the Kouachi brothers accomplished their mission, and well.

They will kill for shoes on a carpet images or cartoons, but videos of beheadings are proudly shown for recruitment purposes. In their perverted value system, Islam trumps human life.

Cultural marxism has been so efficient in eardicating basically all our tradition values and own religious feelings trough effective separation of “state and religion”, that now religion roars back as never before. Only issue, is an alien, violent and wrong one ….

Cultural moral equivalence is illogical. It is entirely appropriate to make value judgements about the relative merits of cultures. The situation has gotten so out of hand, that a survey of Harvard students had them equating IS with the US.

    Charlie she ain’t…

Ms Bouabdellah, 37, said on Wednesday that the “lack of understanding” of her work was probably related to “heightened emotions” after the attacks.

Huh, what lack of understanding would that be? Non-muslims are the ones who have good reasons to have “heightened emotions”. 17 of them. This is just pious, devout muslims getting what they want through the threat of violence. The Charlie Hebdo massacre worked.

“I’m left wondering at the reasons that push a certain fringe among French Muslims to see this work as blasphemous,” she said.

Well, have you tried asking them?

“I’m from a Muslim background and my intention was not to shock or provoke, but to offer a vision as a starting point for a dialogue.”…

And look at the good it did to you…

Her surprise, and her comments that it wasn’t meant to ‘provoke’, seem a bit disingenuous. She must know how touchy some Muslims are, and the imagery was clearly designed to be challenging to Islam’s view of women. But why shouldn’t art provoke? And as for ‘misunderstanding’, each person can read into art what they want, surely, that’s the point of it.

What a weak religion Islam is. For it can’t stand up to or hold up to any criticism whatsoever. This not only exposes just how fragile and baseless Islam really is but it also show that the Muslim clerics have no real foundation of real auguments that are based on logic and reason to keep Islam standing

    • pennant8 says

      Jan 28, 2015 at 7:09 pm

Actually Muslims do practice logic and reason, but it has their own special rules. For example, our logic tells us that if two things are in contradiction, then one of them must be false. Not so in Islamologic. Two things can be contradiction and both be true.

Mark Steyn likes to tell about the numerous Muslims he has spoken with who will claim that Muslims had nothing to do with 9/11, and then say that 9/11 was a great victory for Islam, and see nothing contradictory in those statements.

Robert stated: “The Charlie Hebdo jihad massacre is proving to have been a great victory for the jihadists: now they are getting non-Muslims in France and elsewhere to curtail their behavior to conform to Sharia blasphemy laws.”

    Yup. In a word.

The article also stated, “An artwork depicting high-heeled shoes on Islamic prayer mats….”

Oh my God!!! The horror of it!

When recalling, it was none other than Muhammad himself, during the Last Hajj, said to his “blessed wives, …: ‘This is it. After that, [sic] should stick to the mats at home’….In essence, the Hadith is saying: your [sic] going out for this alone is done. After that, you stick to the mats of your homes necessarily without having to part therefrom.”

(Mariful Qur’an, A Comprehensive commentary on the Holy Qur’an, By Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi, translated by, Muhammad Shamim and Muhammad Wali Raazi, Revised by Maulana Muhammad Taqi ‘Usmani, Fourth Edition, 2007, Maktaba-e-Darul- ‘Uloom, Karachi, 14 Pakistan; Nol. .7, P. 142; 33:28 – 34.)

Alternatively, as Abu Dawud provides it, “during the Farewell Pilgrimage,” he [“Messenger of Allah”], said to some of his wives, “This, and then the surface of the mats.” (Hasan.).

Or, as al-Waqidi provides it, “the Messenger of God said to his wives, “‘This is the Hajj, then the back of the carpet’—meaning stick to your homes.”

Never did He mention high-heels on the pray mat! Never!

For crying out loud, people … — Remember Charlie!!! Remember Charlie!!! Therefore, honor the “prophet”! Slap an abaya-niqab-clad-woman on that mat!

Bouabdellah should realize more than anyone else — given her Muslim background — that French Muslims aren’t interested in “dialogue.” They just want everyone to shut up and never mock Islam even in the most innocuous ways. Is that so difficult to understand?

They’re going to kill people anyway, so why withdraw the damn thing
from the exhibition? Whether it’s Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Atheists,
or even other Muslims, they hate people who aren’t as hateful as them
and will invent any bullshit pretext to proudly take human lives. It’s just
so sad that things will have to become much more severe before we finally
develop a backbone and treat these subhumans with the contempt they
    deserve.
