Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Some Shi’ites link Saudi king’s death to end times, return of the Mahdi

Jan 24, 2015 9:33 am By Robert Spencer

Saudi King Abdullah sits before a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Kerry at the Royal Palace in Jeddah“But some Shiite scholars think differently about the matter, believing that Abdullah’s death will mark the beginning of a chain of great events that will shock the world.” That could well be true, even without “the rise of Imam Mahdi.” The main concern for non-Muslims is that all too many Shi’ite (and Sunni) end-times scenarios involve the mass slaughter of Infidels.

“Some Shiites link Saudi king’s health to end-times,” by Rohollah Faghihi, Al-Monitor, January 14, 2015:

In the last two years, media outlets have published conflicting reports on Saudi King Abdullah’s health. Just last week, Saudi Arabia’s Royal Court announced that the king has pneumonia and is temporarily using a breathing tube. In fact, every time the king’s health deteriorates, news agencies speculate on what will become of the Saudi dynasty and its leadership after the king’s death. But some Shiite scholars think differently about the matter, believing that Abdullah’s death will mark the beginning of a chain of great events that will shock the world.

Abdullah, the 10th son of King Abdulaziz, was born Aug. 1, 1924. His mother, Fahda bint Asi Al Shuraim, was a member of the Al Rashid family, longtime rivals of the Al Saud family and a historic dynasty in the Arabian Peninsula that ruled the emirate of Jabal Shammar. Abdullah ascended to the throne in 2005 following the death of his half-brother King Fahd, though power was already in his hands.

According to Shiite hadiths, after the death of a king named Abdullah in the Hijaz — a western region of present-day Saudi Arabia — no successor to the throne would be accepted, and disagreements would escalate and persist until the rise of Imam Mahdi.

The Shiites believe that divine Imams are heirs to the political and religious Ummah, or Islamic nation. These 12 imams are successors to the Prophet Muhammad and to the head of the caliphate, with Mahdi being the final Imam who disappeared, or went into occultation. Mahdi will be revealed only in the end-times, along with Jesus, to deliver peace to the world.

According to the book “250 Signs Until the Appearance of Imam Mahdi,” Prophet Muhammad said: “On doomsday, a man who is carrying the name of an animal ascends to the throne, after which a man named Abdullah comes to the power. Whoever informs me of his death, I will inform him of the rise [of Mahdi]. After Abdullah passes away, for several days and months, the government will appear.”

A seminary teacher based in Qom told Al-Monitor on condition of anonymity, “The animal-named man can be King Fahd because one meaning of Fahd’s [name] is rapacious animal and cheetah, which matches what Prophet Muhammad said.”

The Bahar al-Anvar, a book of hadiths, quotes the sixth Shiite Imam Sadegh as saying: “When Abdullah dies, people will agree on no one, and this issue will be kept alive till the rise of Imam [Mahdi]. An age of a hundred-year reign comes to an end, and an age of a [kingdom lasting] a few days and months arrives.”

The Shiite scholar in Qom said, “Currently, there is a possibility of a power struggle in Saudi Arabia, as King Abdullah has tried to make up the new post of deputy crown prince. Actually, with regard to [this], if Prince Salman becomes the king and Muqrin bin Abdulaziz is named the crown prince, the next deputy crown prince will be Mutaib bin Abdullah, so we can expect tensions between King Abdullah’s sons and Salman’s brothers to escalate after Abdullah passes away.”

In 2012, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was named crown prince, and two years later, Muqrin bin Abdulaziz was introduced as deputy crown prince.

According to Al-Akhbar newspaper, past tradition dictated that the interior minister would be the most likely candidate for second deputy prime minister, and after that, the post of crown prince. But after upgrading the status of the National Guard, which is chaired by Mutaib bin Abdullah, and turning it into a ministry on par with the ministries of defense and interior, King Abdullah’s wing in the royal family is well-positioned to be a strong contender for the throne.

The Qom seminary teacher said that according to some hadiths, leaders in the Hijaz will hide news of the king’s death for 40 days. Based on Abdullah’s deteriorating health situation, this could have happened by now.

Some believe that the rise of terrorist groups in the Levant, along with their black flags, is another sign of Mahdi’s resurrection.

The Nahj al-Balagh, a collection of the first Shiite Imam Ali’s sayings, quotes the imam as saying: “When you witness black flags, don’t move, because their calls are void and null and you shouldn’t help them. Their heart is like iron fillings, and they don’t honor their promise. Their names and monikers are taken from the names of cities.”

The Qom-based scholar explained the quotation, “Black flags can suggest the Islamic State, which is killing hundreds of innocent people in the region with brutality, and [regarding people named after cities], I can mention Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi or Omar al-Chechen.”

He added, “Many in the seminary of Qom believe that the rise of Imam Mahdi is imminent. Even important figures in the seminary have expressed their hope for this event to happen and has called for our readiness to help him.”

“What’s happening in the region is very similar to what our Imams have predicted about preconditions for the rise of Imam Mahdi, so the moment of truth may have come.”…

Mahdi relation to Jesus sounds suspiciously like Muhammad’s shameless pretense to be the ‘final prophet’

    Appeasement to Islam today.

    THE HOLY SEPULCHER
The Holy Sepulcher is the place where it is believed that Jesus Christ was buried and rose from the dead.
Muslims deny the crucifixion and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Today the keys to the basilica are in the hands of a prominent Palestinian Muslim family.
In contrast to Muslims, Christians do not need to hold the keys to the Kaaba in Mecca to justify Christianity’s existence. Muslims can parade around and worship an idol stone in Mecca if they wish.
Muhammad is long dead and buried in the place where he murdered 900 Jews and stole their wealth and then took their wives as sex slaves.

    Jesus lives.

I’m continually amazed that there are still people in the world of the 21st century who think and behave like this, and who believe such ridiculous rubbish. They are ignorant barbarians.

You wouldn”t be amazed if you knew how strong the ties of the umma are
and how extremely powerful islam hierarchy is ,not just in state anr society but also inside families.

It means nothing which century we live in as humans have not changed since acient times.
They may enjoy modern achievements but are still victims of their social environment and believe standards and easy to controlled by manipulation and fear.
Islam works like any good army:shut up,stop thinking, don’t doubt the generals orders, strictly follow the rules, kill those who desert ,keep your soldiers in a mental childhood state-emotionally disbalanced and always just one step away from histeria and violence if your believe system is attacked and your general not close to you.

They may enjoy modern achievements but are still victims of their social environment and believe standards and easy to controlled by manipulation and fear.”

One of the truest and most accurate statements written in this site’s comments section!!

When I was young, and up till relatively recently, I used to think and believe that us, human beings, are rational animals. Meanwhile, life experience, knowledge and close observation of human behaviour convinced me of otherwise.

I found out that, at least, most of human beings in, at least, most of situations, and this is probably a very conservative estimate, are irrational, sometimes being surreal at that! This, simply, is due to the fact that they are not aware and conscious of the major role the “pain vs. pleasure” principle play in daily life, directing their decisions and behaviours.

Also it seems to be that a majority of us, human beings, didn’t arrive yet at making some very important and essential distinctions in our lives, one of which is differentiating between, on the one hand, scientific and tecknologic achievements, and on the other, the real essence of life.

For example, looking at things through the whole picture, technology creations and advancements, in certain specific fields or endeavours, in reality and in most instances, are nothing but toys, with precise monetary values while genuine love of and care for others, the environment and life itself, may not have tangible monetary value but they are far more important for leading a healthy and satisfying life, on both individual and group level.

Failure to make this distinction between the importance of those former toys and that of these later non tangible yet essential ingredients will, without fail, prove to be disastrous, as it has already proved in the case of many people living in the west.

I understand what you’re saying Terry because I’ve thought it myself. This idea of being ‘civilised’ is a thin veil which can fall off fairly quickly, but it is the way we are socialised which leads people to assume that we have somehow become ‘more advanced’ and have moved past certain barbaric behaviour. Many people are very futuristic in western society and don’t even contemplate the idea that society could regress, because they’re unaccustomed to seeing the ugly side of humanity on a frequent enough basis, unlike that of developing countries.

Human beings in general terms, don’t appear to be particularly good at reigning in their propensity for bad behaviour without some kind of tempering force; or perhaps a template like that which is provided in Christianity. But many people in western society, disregard traditionalism today and it’s based on the idea that knowing right from wrong is ‘common knowledge;’ which no longer needs intense emphasis because it’s ‘a given.’

Those who are socialised according to Islamic values have Muhammad as a template, and I do not believe that it necessarily matters so much, whether they are knowledgeable about each and every aspect of Muhammad because you can learn about Muhammad, simply through cultural immersion. People will emulate the behaviour which they witness in their environment and the legacy of the head-chopping Muhammad is passed from father to son- you need not read the Islamic texts to know of him. Westernized Muslims; having not grown up in an area where Muslim terror has reigned for a considerable amount of time; may indeed be lacking knowledge of certain aspects. But this will all change when the Muslim problem is culturally entrenched in western countries. Exposing Islam is most useful for non-Muslims to understand what is going on around them. But this assumption that Muslims, having been exposed for what they are, will stop raping and killing is not a safe assumption for anyone to make. Muslims are known troublemakers among non-Muslims elsewhere and it has not changed a thing. This is why I said that western countries have too many over idealistic people living within them and seem to somehow assume that western countries can deal with these problems differently to other countries. Muslims understand the language of force, and placating them will only go so far. This is why a zero tolerance approach was necessary; because otherwise it’s just delaying an inevitable outcome. All the rest is fumbling, and will get a lot of people killed.

          From Bare Naked Islam:
EXCELLENT! Another ‘anti-Islam’ Czech Republic politician urges people to walk dogs and pigs near mosques http://www.barenakedislam.com/2015/01/05/excellent-another-anti-islam-czech-republic-politician-urges-people-to-walk-dogs-and-pigs-near-mosques/

And by developing countries; I really should have said countries or areas which have a high crime rate. Especially violent crime which can go without prosecution or countries where corruption is known to be given among people who live there. Or a place with well-established Muslim problems. People learn not to drop their guard so easily upon realising the world is not a friendly place; contrary to the appearance provided by the comfortableness of a western lifestyle in many cases.

That’s absolutely true and what helped Islam to reach what it has reached to in the west today, Jen.

This is what this is, they make it up as they go along, then they actually do the things to fulfil it.

One of their beliefs is, they will be the ones to start a world war, which will bring the Mahdi on. which is why they are all becoming so violent world wide. it is to fulfil the prophecy.

Hope this helps you understand the mentality of a death cultist a bit better 🙂

      Interesting point Mac10.
I have no experience with Hindus, and my superiors kept me from interaction with muslims as possible, something do do with being trigger happy.

I can say that Buddhists and Taoists acknowledge there could be an End Times, but they do not preoccupy themselves with it. They mostly focus on just living and cultivating their spirit. If End Time comes? Great. If it doesn’t? Great.

Scandinavian and Germanic tradition speaks of an End Times where the Norse Gods battle Loki the trickster. It is known as Ragnorock. It is essentially a battle between order and chaos. Both men and Gods are involved because our faits are intertwined. Most combatants die. In the end, order prevails and builds a new order that grows and flourishes. It kind of reminds me of the native american idea of the Phoenix.

      Hope this was helpful.

The important issue here isn’t whether or not these hadiths are true or not.. (they’re not)

The important issue whether or not that the current leaders of Iran believe them … (and they do)

According to an 2011 Islamic end-times documentary – The Coming Is Upon Us – produced by the Iranian government, the Ayatollahs believe that the death of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah will be a major sign indicating that the destruction of Israel and arrival of the Mahdi are imminent.

They will do everything they can to bring their hadiths to fruition.

“But some Shiite scholars think differently about the matter, believing that Abdullah’s death will mark the beginning of a chain of great events that will shock the world.”

To be honest, Abdullah’s death could be a unique opportunity for his successor (Salman) to clean up some of the mess in this rotten kingdom.
First, he needs to get rid of the so-called ultraconservative clerics. Then, he’ll have a golden opportunity to gradually lead his country to the 21th century, open up to the modern world and, as Egypt’s al-Sisi is trying to do, reform the islamic “thinking.”
Will he seize the opportunity? time will tell.

Wishful thinking. It seems the 79 yr older has dementia and alzheimer and is more ” conservative”than his 1/2 brother. It seems the shadow rulers will be behind the throne pulling the strings. The wahabi clerics still will be a powerful force. Will the poor young man who is set to get 1000 lashes among other punishments for mocking the clerics be pardoned due to westwern influence? In the meantime Obama and Moochelle went to show respect and bow to the tirant head of a repressive kingdom.

  11. Mark Spahn (West Seneca, NY) says

    Jan 24, 2015 at 2:05 pm

There is great similarity between the End Times
    doctrines of Catholicism and Shiaism.

According to the Prophecy of Malachy
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prophecy_of_the_Popes ,
we ran out of popes one pope ago. The last real pope,
Benedict XVI, has gone into occultation (“retirement”).
And according to Shia doctrine, the Twelfth Imam (a.k.a.
“the Mahdi”) has also gone into occultation, at the bottom
of a well, and will emerge again at the start of a time of
tribulation, which is coming soon, says the mystical book
    of prophetic divination, Al-Jafr:
    http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2013/09/hezbollah-nasrallah-shiite-doctrine-syria-conflict.html#
    .
Might these two personages be identified with each other?

Meanwhile, Quran 9:29 refers to “the Last Day”,
although it is unclear when this will be (e.g., does it come
before, or after, Judgment Day?), or even what it means.
Anybody got a Quran concordance to find where
in the Quran this term is defined?

But according to the Torah, “I Jehovah thy God am
a jealous God visiting the sins of the fathers upon the
children to the third and fourth generation, but showing
acts of kindness to the thousandth generation of those
who love me and keep my commands.” Source:
    http://biblehub.com/childrens/God's_Commands_to_the_People.htm
So the End Times will not come until a thousand
generations after Moses, which (if I did my sums right)
takes us up to at least the year A.D. 19,000.

Thus, Catholics and Shiites believe one thing about
the End Times, while Jews and Sunnis believe
    something else.

On the other hand, while we are sitting around waiting
for the End Times, Xenu might suddenly show up
    to smite all us non-Scientologists.
