Dutch Parliamentarian Geert Wilders will deliver the keynote address at the Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest being held on May 3rd, in Garland, Texas. The Art Exhibit is being put on by Pamela Geller’s American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI). It will be put on at the same facility in Garland as the Honor the Prophet Conference that was held by a pro-Islamic group in January.
Wilders earned international recognition in the free speech movement when he was brought up on charges for speaking out against Islam at a March, 2014, rally where he promised to reduce the number of Moroccans living in the Netherlands. “The public prosecutor in The Hague is to prosecute Geert Wilders on charges of insulting a group of people based on race and incitement to discrimination and hatred,” prosecutors said in a statement, according to an article by Sam Webb on the DailyMail.
“Politicians may go far in their statements, that’s part of freedom of expression, but this freedom is limited by the prohibition of discrimination,” prosecutors stated.
Time Magazine called Wilders “The ‘Prophet’ Who Hates Muhammad.” Winston Ross wrote, ”Wilders may look just as cartoonish as The Donald. But unlike Trump, he’s a legitimate force in politics. For nearly a decade, he’s served as the leader of Holland’s anti-Islamic political party, and he regularly uses his platform to denounce not only violent jihadists but all of Islam.”
Breitbart Texas previously reported the announcement of the art exhibit. Geller’s event comes on the wake of the Islamic terrorist attack on the French magazine Charlie Hebdo in January. Following the attack, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) scheduled the “Stand with the Prophet” conference at the public school district’s conference center. Geller, the President of the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), scheduled a protest outside the event that was attended by approximately 2,000 people.
“Enough is enough,” she explained in a statement obtained by Breitbart Texas. “They’re just cartoons. We’re holding this exhibit and cartoon contest to show how insane the world has become — with people in the free world tiptoeing in terror around supremacist thugs who actually commit murder over cartoons. If we can’t stand up for the freedom of speech, we will lose it — and with it, free society.”
In addition to the art and cartoons featuring The Prophet Muhammad, the exhibit will also have presentations from other free speech advocates.
“Of course, this event will require massive security,” she assured potential attendees. “But this exhibit has to be staged. If we don’t show the jihadis that they will not frighten us into silence, the jihad against freedom will only grow more virulent.”
The art exhibit and contest will culminate with the award of a $10,000 prize for the best artwork or cartoon. Geller also announced on Sunday that there will also be a $2,500 People’s Choice Award. People wanting to submit artwork or cartoons for consideration may do so by sending an email to MuhammadArtExpo@gmail.com.
The Expo will be held at Garland Independent School District’s Curtis Culwell Center on May 3rd, from 5 to 7 p.m. Central Time.

GOOD ! For Jihad Watch, Geert Wilders and Pamala Geller.
I personally have NO Problems with OPENLY “Blaspheming” Islam, Mohammad (their Pedophile Prophet), or Allah.
The SAME as Islam has no problems with “Blaspheming” ANY other Religion that is NOT Islam, and is attempting to force Islamic rule throughout the World.
1st by Islamic Lying and Deception if possible (Taqiyya and Kitman), but then by Bloody Murderous Atrocities, if their Creeping Sharia “The Religion of Peace” Lies don’t work.

Geert Wilders is a rock star and will probably be the next Dutch PM. I am impressed by his experience and his thinking. A few of his quotes include:
“The biggest disease we have faced in the last decades in Europe is cultural relativism, the idea by liberals and leftist politicians that all cultures are equal. They are not,” he said. “Our culture, based on Christianity, humanism and Judaism, it’s a better culture.”
“I’m not against immigration because I believe all the people who immigrate are bad people,” he says. “But they bring along a culture that is not ours. Islam is not there to integrate; it’s there to dominate.”

Again with cartoons! You have good intentions but this event just sounds lame and childish. The list of speakers is great but this may get innocent people killed! Can’t you come up with another reason to gather? Are cartoonists the only weapon in your quiver? Freedom of speech isn’t the only freedom we’re concerned with; we’re worried about Sharia, et al. For God’s sake I hope no one gets killed. Might as well burn Korans.
I heard Islam expert Robert R. Reilly speak. He’s the author of “The Closing of the Muslim Mind.” He began his speech saying, “We should respect the Muslims.” By this he is instructing us that Muslims have legitimate beliefs that don’t threaten anyone, specifically, a deeply held belief that drawing Muhammad and burning the Koran is blasphemy; it makes them want to kill. You’re deliberately provoking Muslims.
So, just leave those two things alone; but by all means criticize Islam, Sharia, Dhimmitude etc. Those things won’t get anyone killed!
Jay Boo says
“deeply held belief ” — is the excuse that allows Muslims to behave like beasts.
Any society that allows Muslims to freely practice the hate crime know as Islam is not a civilized society.

…………………………………
There is *nothing* “lame and childish” about political cartoons. Political cartoons can be very powerful—Thomas Nast’s cartoons famously were the major element that drew attention to the corrupt Tamany political machine in New York City, and led to its downfall. Great artists such as Goya and Daumier have also created political cartoons.
More:
The list of speakers is great but this may get innocent people killed!
…………………………………
These cartoonists aren’t going to kill anyone—nor are the organizers. You are, I suppose, saying that homicidal Muslims may murder more innocent people if they don’t comply with their strictures. This means that you are willing to let murderous thugs dictate the limits of your freedom of speech.
Would you have let Hitler dictate what you could and could not say if you had faced the Fascist threat seventy years ago? And if your answer s “yes”, an you not see how that would have made any real opposition to the Nazis impossible? Would that bother you?
More:
Can’t you come up with another reason to gather? Are cartoonists the only weapon in your quiver?
…………………………………
What utter crap. Robert Spencer blogs here, he is the author of at least a dozen books on Jihad, he appears on television and radio, he participates in debates, conferences, and public appearances, he posts billboards through AFDI, he speaks at universities and with law enforcement. Involvement with cartoons are only one of many “weapon” against Jihad.
More:
The Freedom of speech isn’t the only freedom we’re concerned with; we’re worried about Sharia, et al.
…………………………………
One of the central elements of Shari’ah is that *no one can criticize Islam* Shari’ah law encompasses “blasphemy” laws, and as we have seen, pious Muslims have killed to prevent anyone from criticizing or even questioning Shari’ah law itself.
The fact is that freedom of speech is the *basis* of our freedoms—there is a reason why the First Amendment of the US Constitution enshrines freedom of speech. How would you propose we defend against Shari’ah law if we cannot say anything critical of it?
More:
For God’s sake I hope no one gets killed.
…………………………………
Again, the implication is that we should act as cowering dhimmis in the face of Shari’ah law. Not only is this craven, but bowing to such threats of violence won’t keep us safer—it will just embolden Muslims further.
Might as well burn Korans.
…………………………………
Book burning is not my favorite form of criticism—I would rather be more specific. But Qur’an burning is, nevertheless, a form of critique, and is protected speech under American law. Are you saying that free people should not be allowed to criticize the baleful Qur’an?
More;
I heard Islam expert Robert R. Reilly speak. You’re deliberately provoking Muslims.
…………………………………
This paragraph is completely contradictory. No one here has any problem with Muslim beliefs that do not threaten anyone. If a Muslim wishes to pray fie times a day facing Mecca, use a Wudu bath before he does so, fast during Ramadan and go on the Hadj, I have absolutely no problem with this, and I doubt many here would. If this were all Islam urged for its followers, we wouldn’t have a problem with Islam.
But then you go on to cite as an example of this non-threatening behavior *murdering anyone who dares criticize Muhammed or the Qur’an*. How is this non-threatening?
Moreover, you cite this as a “legitimate belief*. In what way is murdering people who criticize any belief “legitimate”? Adherents of other faiths don’t do this.
And you appear to regard any criticism of Islam as “deliberately provoking Muslims”. The only way to prevent “provoking” them is to either convert to Islam or agree to live as an oppressed, threatened dhimmi under Shari’ah law.
Further, implying that Anti-Jihadist Robert Reilly *agrees* that it is legitimate for Muslims to murder anyone who criticizes Islam could not be a greater calumny.
Here’s an interview with Robert Spencer from 2011:
“Robert Reilly, author of The Closing of the Muslim Mind: Exclusive Jihad Watch interview”
More:http://www.jihadwatch.org/2011/01/robert-reilly-author-of-the-closing-of-the-muslim-mind-exclusive-jihad-watch-interview
So, just leave those two things alone; but by all means criticize Islam, Sharia, Dhimmitude etc. Those things won’t get anyone killed!
…………………………………
Is this a joke? your putting forth the idea that Muslims have not killed over non-cartoon criticism of Islam, Shari’ah, and dhimmitude either shows that you re deeply ignorant, or else that you hope we are. Salman Rushdie received a death Fatwa for criticizing Islam in the Satanic Verses, Theo van Gogh was butchered for creating a film with Ayaan Hirsi Ali criticizing the oppression of women in Islam, Salman Taseer and Shabazz Bhatti were slaughtered for daring to question the blasphemy laws in Pakistan, and Robert Spencer and many other Anti-Jihadists receive a constant flood of death threats for speaking out against Jihad—none of the above have involved creating cartoons or burning Qur’ans. In some cases such “blasphemy” has involved nothing more than affirming that one is not Muslim—this is the case with Asia Bibi, who is in prison facing a death sentence for admitting she is Chiristian.
More, in reply to Philip Jihadski:
Just trying to make people look at what they’re supporting: provoking violence.
…………………………………
What crap. There’s nothing in this show that provokes violence, and nothing that calls for it. Instead, it is pious Muslims calling for violence and perpetrating it—something you appear to consider “legitimate beliefs”. *Ugh*.

OK then, how are we supposed to criticize sharia if we give up our freedom of speech over what we fear others might do?
The sooner muslims realize that their reaction only makes us more defiant in our criticism, the sooner they’ll rage-quit to sulk in the corner.

I was at the protest of the “Honor the Prophet” conference, and I most assuredly will be attend the exhibition.
I expect the counter protesters of the previous conference will be the protesters at this conference, with the same themes:
We’re acting out of bigotry.
The actual religion of Islam is peaceful and tolerant, and the terrorists and ISIS have misread Islam.
We’re damaging the efforts of the peaceful Muslims to win against the violent Muslims.
We’re endangering the peaceful Muslims by agitating against Islam.
We’re radicalizing young Muslims who see how disrespectful we are towards the revered Muhammad.
We’re alienating Muslims who just want to be Americans like anyone else.
One of my favorite actions is to go among the counter-demonstrators and ask them what their reasons are for protesting a protest against Islam. I couldn’t get a completely coherent answer, and by the time I got around to asking again, the police had asked the demonstrators to stay separate from the counter-demonstrators, for good reasons.

Here’s a short article on the protest:
“‘Stand With Prophet’ event in Texas draws thousands of protesters”
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/jan/18/stand-with-prophet-event-in-texas-draws-thousands-/
The full title of this appalling annual event is “Stand with the Prophet in Honor and Respect”. It should surprise no one here to learn that one of the speakers there this year was an Imam who is an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.

I plan on both entering and attending! I face long long drive but this is too important an event not to enter and attend. I hate that news media back off printing such drawings and then riot and kill in defense of their psychopathic founder….hmmm so they are psychopathic followers. Makes sense to me. Drawing Jesus or like the famous Cistine Chapel showing God creating the Universe and Man is so gorgeous and I never tire of looking at photo books of Michaelangelos work. We miss an important part here that REPRESITIONAL ART was prohibited by Mohammed so these barbarians would destroy ALL works of art showing people, animals, trees, buildings, landscapes, sky, water. Oh that is just about everything on God’s planet. These Mohammadans will attack and kill over dog, pork fritters and beer also. And Mohammed hated DOGS. And he also hated singers and musicians let us not forget! Saying “let molten lead be poured in the ears of those listening to a songstress.” That barbarian HATED everything we consider fun and entertainment! So no wonder his followed like to live in rubble and squalor as they destroy everything of beauty. Mohammed even hated church bells! So can you imagine them trashing the Cistine Chapel? The Louve in Paris? This is ISLAM folks. If we don’t draw a line then we’ll be the poorer for it as their DEMANDS will continue to include all of this list of what Mohammed hated.

This is very true, PatnCats. One of the first things the Taliban did on gaining power in Afghanistan in the was demand that the National Gallery in Kabul surrender any art depicting people for destruction.
A brave curator there—who was also an amateur painter—painted out as many figures as he could with watercolors while stalling the Taliban thugs. But he couldn’t try to save everything—statuary, works done in watercolor to begin with, and some works that were too well-known were impossible to disguise. He also knew that if they didn’t surrender any work to them that the Taliban would be suspicious.
He worried that his painting was too crude to fool the Taliban—that it would be clear that the colors and style in many cases did not match perfectly, or that they resulting compositions would look obviously imbalanced. But, not surprisingly, these pious barbarians knew nothing about art, and his work was not detected.
Here’s an article:
“In 2001, the Taliban ordered that all art showing people be destroyed”
http://www.colorsmagazine.com/stories/magazine/87/story/in-2001-the-taliban-ordered-the-destruction-of-all-art-showing-people
But this act of defiance is now famous, and no doubt can never be repeated there. Now that the Taliban is encroaching again, what will happen to the surviving art in Afghanistan? Will it suffer the same fate as the Bamiyan Buddhas? Probably so.

Yes—Islam crushes virtually all of the arts—the visual arts, music, and most writing.
There have already been attacks by Muslims on art galleries and art in churches. You are quite right to worry about the fate of the Sistine Chapel and the Louvre—and all the other great repositories of art in Europe and the rest of the West.
If they are not stopped, we can look forward to a future where great churches like St. Peter’s and Chartres are stripped of their Christian art and turned into Mosques, and where the Prado and the British Museum are dynamited.
This show in Garland will be an act of defiance that I hope will resonate, and be part of the beginning—along with Jyllands-Posten and Charlie Hebdo and “Everybody Draw Muhammad Day”—of a great push back to end this tide of Shari’ah barbarism.

I will proudly admit that they can add my name to those who hate the “prophet of Islam.” Islam has been nothing but trouble for EVERYBODY since day one and it all goes back to when Sarah ( in direct disobedience to what God had already told them) had Abraham sleep with the maid so that he could have a child. As far as I am concerned Muhammad has not done anything for me….his bones still lay in Mecca. The good news is that my redeemer still lives and has already conquered Islam….and there isn’t thing one that any of them can do about it.
If, by some chance, Muslims happen to rid the world of Christians…..who would they go after then? I can promise you that they will start infighting as fierce as they have fought us. I have seen this and the more they fight among themselves the more concentrated the spirit of legalism and hatred within that religion, form of gov’t, and whatever else you want to call it will become.
