Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Jordan furious over Pentagon leak on secret anti-Islamic State training camp

Feb 24, 2015 4:13 pm By Robert Spencer

obama-shhh1“Either the official made a mistake or is deliberately leaking information to put the administration’s plans for Syria in a better light in an attempt to defuse criticism that the administration has bungled efforts to aid Syrian rebels” — in other words, playing politics yet again instead of dealing with the jihad threat in any adequate manner.

“Jordan furious over Pentagon leak on secret anti-terror training camp,” by Maggie Ybarra, The Washington Times, February 23, 2015:

The Pentagon let slip that one of its training camps to help fight Islamic State terrorists is in Jordan — information the pro-U.S. kingdom had specifically requested be kept private, and the latest gaffe in a series of sensitive leaks coming out of the Department of Defense.

In order to hide its flub, which was first announced to reporters during a briefing last week, the Pentagon has scrubbed its public transcripts of any mention of the training camp.

Pentagon officials acknowledged Monday that one of its officers, who was briefing reporters on condition of anonymity last week, likely made the mistake. The Pentagon’s policy is to discuss only the contributions its partner nations are making to its operations against extremists in Iraq and Syria only after those partner nations have publicly spoken about those contributions.

In Jordan’s case, that did not happen, a senior Pentagon official said.

Security analysts are befuddled by the high-level operational “screw-up.”

“Either the official made a mistake or is deliberately leaking information to put the administration’s plans for Syria in a better light in an attempt to defuse criticism that the administration has bungled efforts to aid Syrian rebels,” said James Phillips, a national security analyst at The Heritage Foundation….

Right, Obama’s administration decided to f*** up its plans to help allies fighting the islamic state in order to counter criticism regarding its lack of action in order to help allies fighting the islamic state…

If anyone believes that, I’ve got a bridge to sell.

My head almost explodes every time I see a pic of an ISIS fighter holding an American M16-model service rifle! Hillary and Obama did that! They betrayed ALL the DEAD Christians and other minorities who were murdered in cold blood with those weapons.

Going after Assad to please Saudi Arabia (that wanted a pipeline through Syria) was one of the GREATEST and most TRAGIC political errors to be on the charge sheet of both Obama and Hillary. BONEHEADS!

No question that Obama and Hillary’s led the way but McCain and Graham were full aboard with this Saudi Syrian effort. Saudi money doesn’t just talk, it screams. This was tragic for Syrian Christians and I blame all of these criminally negligent people.

Shouldn’t the plan to take out ISIS begin with taking out their (command and control) headquarters and center of logistics in (TURKEY)?
Obama’s — so called “operations against extremists in Iraq and Syria” is overlooking an obvious military strategy of targeting ISIS.

You’ve got it straight, Angemon, in that doesn’t make any logical sense to do what they did, but it doesn’t mean they didn’t do it. They just did it. This is Obama’s foreign policy in a nutshell. I mean think about: Empower and legitimize the Muslim Brotherhood, then okay the assassination of Bin Laden. Hold a major conference on fighting terrorism — which is 90% – 94% ISLAMIC of all terrorists globally — and make sure that nobody mentions Islam! And on and on and on and on.

Obama’s the one with a bridge to sell — and YOU’VE bought it!

Leak most likely by somebody that wants to annoy Obama. Say every American in the world except the Muslim ones.

As many wedges can be driven between Obama and his “moderate Muslim friends” the better.

Anything to cause friction to America relationship with a Muslim country is a major plus right now.

Muslim countries need to remember once the fool is out of the white house a new president will have to admit Muslims are actually the enemy.

Unless there is some major change or some huge terrorist attack, it is not unlikely that Hillary will be the next President, plus the Repblicans are mostly stupid. Allowing in more and more immigrants the America is going to have a one party system and zero press freedom, as the press self-censroing is only mouthng the official Obama line.

To the entire rest of the world, I’m so sorry for what America is being used for. Please forgive us for having this traitor to not only his own people but the entire civilized and hopeful world. Right now the entire world has every right to hate us, unlike the self loathing the left conjured up for all these years. All of this destabilization and destruction done with a smile and smear makes me ashamed.

    • Sally Archer says

      Feb 24, 2015 at 9:16 pm

I’m not ashamed, Jay. Here’s another way to see it.
The shame all belongs to the present presidential administration and all who’ve preceded it with pro-petrodollars, pro-oligarchic, pro-Islamic, pro-whatever-you-want-to-call-the-post-modernist-post-computer-globally-greed-addicted-software-tweaked-black-pools-mega-financial-global-empire-conflating-socialism-and-globalist-profiteering-as-faux-or-neoliberal-capitalism. No, this (and so many hyphens) does not make sense to caring, rational people. No I did not vote for Obama, either time.

After Citizens United (Supreme Court case) and its allowance of dark money campaign financing for U.S. elections with corporations (and questionable untrackable lines of funding) treated as if persons electorally for funding political campaigns, none of us have had a real chance in the U.S. as “we the people” to make a meaningful difference voting for a representative leadership in Washington, D.C. Special interests are running it all. The leaders of course do not tell us this. They still need us to engage the charade of voting for them as the U.S. government is presently configured.

The people are being appeased, ego massaged, played, made to believe we are still a republic as if computers impacting financial markets globally didn’t change everything, including wealth transfers and accumulations and those leading in the news. The Muslim cartel is one of the biggest special interests on the planet currently. Those invested in the current system, including “elected” leaders in the U.S. (there mainly because of who financed them after Citizens United), overall as a group privilege money ahead of everything.

RINO, Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, whatever the political label is not as big as the global system of finance and wealth opposing all reform for “we the people.” The middle class is being erased in the U.S. for the generation of young adults whose grandparents had paid-for homes on which they are needing reverse mortgages in order to stay afloat in the 21st century, effectively giving their homes to the bank and not their estates. (Just one example.) Each side of the red/blue divide in the U.S. will be equally inept at finding meaningful solutions to the dangers of Islam, because it is not in their interests to protect us as “the people,” we who have no meaning to them, really, or their elitist bottom line. They are good liars, most of them, a few exceptions to prove the rule. They’ve taken a page from the taqiyya books of their petrodollar Muslim buddies.

If we cannot see or cannot face the big picture, we are in part blind. Most people do not see, or perhaps do not want to see.

To see it is to face the individual ego deflation of how utterly unimportant we are to the American leadership or the actors pitching us either CNN or Fox News. (Exceptions, of course, always prove the rule. Not everybody’s complicit. But the system as a whole is not about us, but about those in it, running it and profiting exorbitantly from it.) There’s a freedom to facing reality, and a spiritual gift that’s more than a silver lining. Friends we can know face to face with continuity in the communities where we live are better than fantasy relationships any way.

Organized religion doesn’t fit for me, so I have no reason to want to hang out with those who attend mosques any more than churches. However, of course the U.S. military and law enforcement and intelligence community at the very least ought to keep us safe from being blown up, beheaded or otherwise murdered by Muslims following the directions in the Koran and Hadith. As a kid attending Sunday School, I never found analogs to the Medina-not-Mecca non-abrogated Muslim directives for violence, deception and conquest against infidels in what the Jewish Carpenter reportedly said as written later in the new testament’s biblical red letters.

Reading the Koran, not “islamophobia,” is what convinced me not to befriend Muslims ever. Anybody who would not disavow a book so vile, violent and insanely inconsistent is not anybody I would ever want to get to know. Similarly I would not want to know any of the Catholic Inquisitors who burned witches at the stake in centuries past. Today’s Catholics, pretty harmless, and no longer applying the vile Inquisitors’ manual, Malleus Maleficarum. Not that I like the Pope’s Chrislam, or promote the Church in its antiquated male-dominant hierarchy. But whatever I like or don’t, today’s Christians are not an existential threat to Americans; Muslim terrorists are. Jews are more often hate crime targets than are Muslims (who may have a taqiyya penchant to stage fake hate crimes to augment playing their fake victim card.)

If Islam cannot grow in the 21st century out of the evil place the Koran takes it, as dark and ugly as the Catholic Inquisition took itself in centuries long past with its own dark and ugly Malleus Maleficarum (and distortions of the gospel), then smart freedom-loving people will steer as far clear of Muslims as possible.

If Americans unofficially took this position given the freedom of association to do so, and simply applied “live and let live” to ignore Muslims wherever possible, then when the Muslims immigrated here without assimilation to form their terrorist cells and religious enclaves, it would be clear they do not wish to be part of our world, only to conquer it. It would be clear we are not engaging in hate crimes against them because we simply would never engage with them at any level.

At least that’s one way to look at it tonight. No shame for me who sees the hajib as a symbol of oppression. (The Fifty Shades of Grey film, also very creepy and oppressive, as if women exist to be dominated by men in Hollywood’s version of secular Sharia-like misogyny). No shame in saying that. No shame in having an opinion and expressing it. No shame for Americans who aren’t running the political leadership show. I shamelessly love the “sea to shining sea” continent on which my country was forged, and I do not hang my head in shame for the shameful acts of the world’s globalist leaders including those nominally from the U.S.

Sally Archer – Your post is eloquently crafted, thoughtful and compelling Thank you for it. I agree with your every word and every nuance, hyphens notwithstanding))), and I love our country. Our brilliant, beloved Constitution is in tatters, but sets the USA apart from any other country in the world. Our history and our Constitution are responsible for American exceptionalism, and it is breaking my heart and also driving me crazy to see both our history and the Constitution being re-invented or simply flushed down the drain. I have an adult son who attended “excellent” private schools his whole life (now he is 45) and I found out,a few years ago to my shock and horror, that he has never read the Constitution and has a very foggy idea of American history. He’s good at what he does in life, and I am proud of him, but I wish I had been more vigilant about the curriculum he was being exposed to whilst in school, college and grad school. Thanks again for sharing your intelligence with the readers here. qr.

Thank you, qr, for the beautifully written affirmation & validation. I love all of us who love our Constitution of the U. S. & the promise of freedom it continues to inspire, so a joyous shoutout to you! We had no idea @ the time how inadequate an education our children through grad school were getting or what were the roots of the dilemma, so no shame for us as parents about that either. In the spirit of the nonviolent U.S. movements & wise celebrity icons of the 20th & 21st centuries (e.g. Rosa Parks, MLK Jr., Phyllis Chesler, Meryl Streep to name some of my favorites), we can be creative constructively without physical harm to others as we take the higher road that violent Islamic terrorism disdains. This is the spiritual victory over greed-&-power globalist deceivers including the present U.S. administration.

The rule of thumb is surely to support and defend the secular (even if dictatotrial and anti American) against Islamic Jihad

Suharto…from Wikipedia but many other sources available…and up to a million Young communist members mainly in isolated country áreas and by Islamic killer gangs murdered…QUOTE “Sukarno’s balancing act of “Nasakom” (nationalism, religion and communism) had been unraveled. His most significant pillar of support, the PKI, had been effectively eliminated by the other two pillars—the army and political Islam; and the army was on the way to unchallenged power. (Best to investigate if the mother of Obama and stepfather also were involved in this CIA promoted bloodletting)

In my immediate memory Yugoslavia…Promotion of Jihad of Izetbegovic in Bosnia and Jihad in Kosovo also…this led to first beheadings I knew about ever

Arab Spring began with colour revolutions outside Arab countries – in Georgia etc which was an anti communist crusade basically

    On to Arab Spring

    Tunisia

    Ivory Coast

    Mubarak

    Gadhafi

    Assad

But above all Iraq. the millions of pacifists/stalinists who demonsatrated against the 2003 war of Bush and Blair on Saddam were following a reactionary course but there was ONE correct policy. That was to oppose the Bush war on Saddam because Saddam was always representing (despite everything else) a huge bulwark, and innate antagonism towards Islamic Jihad in general and since its very formation the Iranian Mullahs

The removal of Saddam was the single most damaging blow against those who oppose Islamic Jihad. THAT opened the floodgates.

Bush was a Republican and was supported by Republicans so that Little had changed fromt he 1990s war on the Serbs in Yugoslavia where there was across the board consent to the war on the Serbs, including from almost the whole of Jewish leadership in America

On the latter See Elie Wiesel Holocaust Survivor….article where it says:

“He (Elie Wiesel) blasts Milosevic as a “coldblooded cynic who never kept a promise, except
when it was in his own best interest.” “It is no accident that he is
nicknamed ‘the butcher,'” he writes. “With utter contempt for humanity, he
has embarked on a state-sponsored program aimed at the humiliation,
persecution and uprooting of an entire ethnic community.”

I do not wish to re-argue the Iraq war of 2003 but, I think you fail to remember what was actually happening there.
After the first Gulf war and under UN auspices, the coalition led by the U.S. established a “no fly zone” over southern and northern Iraq. Saddam had already gassed the Kurds once and he was in the process of draining the marsh in the south to exterminate the marsh Arabs. The UN, the U.S. and its coalition partners attempted to stop these genocides by Saddam.
And then there was the UN “Oil for Food” embargo placed on Saddam which ended up being an “Oil for Mercedes” program because the Germans, the French and the Russians would sell their Grandmothers for a nickle if they thought they could make a profit. Please recall that the command and control bunkers used by Saddam were German engineered and his defense system was Russian engineered.
After it was documented that Saddam had violated 21 requirements of the UN treaty agreed upon by Saddam and the UN, the U.S. led a coalition to take him out.
Much can be said of the horrific mess that Iraq is today. But please always keep in mind that Saddam was a genocidal maniac and his government deserved to come down.
You might now say that the U.S. and its coalition should have just sent their aircraft carriers, pilots and assistance to keep this maniac in check back home. The U.S. might have said that the treaty was being violated by Saddam AND OUR NATO PARTNERS IN EUROPE so, what’s the use of all this? I would be willing to entertain that discussion.

That leak of information about a training camp in Jordan is inexcusable. The government of Jordan is walking a tightrope with a large segment of their population sympathetic to Islamist ideology. Admission of a US led training camp in Jordan places unneeded pressure on one of the few Arab state allies that are willing to get involved.
If it is shown to have been leaked deliberately to cast the Obama Administration in a better light, it’s cynical move that demonstrates political image is more important to them.
Heads should roll, metaphorically speaking of course.
