Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Obama: Media overstates terror threat as opposed to “longer-term problem of climate change”

Feb 9, 2015 4:25 pm By Robert Spencer

OBAMA-STONED-NBCObama’s timing couldn’t be worse. First there was this:

“The fiddling with temperature data is the biggest science scandal ever,” by Christopher Booker, the Telegraph, February 7, 2015:

When future generations look back on the global-warming scare of the past 30 years, nothing will shock them more than the extent to which the official temperature records – on which the entire panic ultimately rested – were systematically “adjusted” to show the Earth as having warmed much more than the actual data justified.

Two weeks ago, under the headline “How we are being tricked by flawed data on global warming”, I wrote about Paul Homewood, who, on his Notalotofpeopleknowthat blog, had checked the published temperature graphs for three weather stations in Paraguay against the temperatures that had originally been recorded. In each instance, the actual trend of 60 years of data had been dramatically reversed, so that a cooling trend was changed to one that showed a marked warming….

But Obama is entirely oblivious. He readily agrees with Matthew Yglesias’ contention that “the media sometimes overstates the level of alarm people should have about terrorism and this kind of chaos, as opposed to a longer-term problem of climate change and epidemic disease.”

Also, it is not surprising that in an interview devoted entirely to foreign policy, Obama never once mentions Islam, or even “Islamist.” He does refer to “violent extremism,” which seems to be his euphemism of choice these days, as it is also the name of his Countering Violent Extremism summit, which should be renamed Countering the Threat We Dare Not Name.

Worst of all, he refers to “violent, vicious zealots who behead people or randomly shoot a bunch of folks in a deli in Paris.” No one was randomly shot in that “deli in Paris.” It was a kosher supermarket, and the people who were murdered there were murdered because they were Jews. They were murdered by people who were animated by the Qur’an’s relentless Jew-hatred and labeling of the Jews as the worst enemies of the Muslims (5:82). But that, too, is a threat that Obama dares not name.

It’s also significant that he gave this massive, detailed, extensive interview to Vox, a far-Left publication that just last Saturday was claiming that those who took issue with Obama’s reprehensible moral equivalence regarding the Crusades were just looking for an excuse to hate Muslims. That is the milieu from which Obama comes, and in which he is most comfortable. That is, almost certainly, his world view as well: that those who believe that Islam uniquely teaches and justifies violence in a way that Christianity and other religions do not are motivated solely by hatred of Muslims. This is the line that Hamas-linked CAIR and its henchmen have promoted for years. In the White House today, they have their most powerful champion ever.

“Obama: The Vox Conversation,” Vox, February 9, 2015:

Matthew Yglesias

Do you think the media sometimes overstates the level of alarm people should have about terrorism and this kind of chaos, as opposed to a longer-term problem of climate change and epidemic disease?

Barack Obama

Absolutely. And I don’t blame the media for that. What’s the famous saying about local newscasts, right? If it bleeds, it leads, right? You show crime stories and you show fires, because that’s what folks watch, and it’s all about ratings. And, you know, the problems of terrorism and dysfunction and chaos, along with plane crashes and a few other things, that’s the equivalent when it comes to covering international affairs. There’s just not going to be a lot of interest in a headline story that we have cut infant mortality by really significant amounts over the last 20 years or that extreme poverty has been slashed or that there’s been enormous progress with a program we set up when I first came into office to help poor farmers increase productivity and yields. 7 It’s not a sexy story. And climate change is one that is happening at such a broad scale and at such a complex system, it’s a hard story for the media to tell on a day-to-day basis.

7 The little-noticed “Feed the Future” initiative has reached about 7 million people already, and introduces farmers in poor countries to more advanced technologies and management practices to boost crop production.

Look, the point is this: my first job is to protect the American people. It is entirely legitimate for the American people to be deeply concerned when you’ve got a bunch of violent, vicious zealots who behead people or randomly shoot a bunch of folks in a deli in Paris. We devote enormous resources to that, and it is right and appropriate for us to be vigilant and aggressive in trying to deal with that — the same way a big city mayor’s got to cut the crime rate down if he wants that city to thrive. But we also have to attend to a lot of other issues, and we’ve got to make sure we’re right-sizing our approach so that what we do isn’t counterproductive. I would argue that our invasion of Iraq was counterproductive to the goal of keeping our country safe.

And despite the incredible valor of our troops — and I’m in awe of them every single day when I work with them — you know, the strategy that was crafted in Washington didn’t always match up with the actual threats that were out there. And we need to make sure that we’re doing the right things and doing those well so that we can also deal with future threats like cybersecurity or climate change or different parts of the world where there are huge opportunities, but [that] before I came into office, we had neglected for quite some time, Asia Pacific being a perfect example. Or our own backyard, the Western Hemisphere, where there’s been real progress in Latin America and we’ve got the opportunity to strengthen our relationships. But there are also some big problems like Central America where, with a relatively modest investment, we could really be making a difference and making ourselves safer. 8

8 This is not necessarily directly relevant to “our safety,” but it’s worth noting the horrific conditions documented by NGOs that have looked at the lives of Central Americans sent back to their homes by US officials. Here’s what the administration is doing now in Central America.

I wish there was a way to not anymore hear about this guy’s comments on Islam and its Jihad’s threat, as I really feel beyond disgusted and sad.

Given the rate of his recent comments- almost daily, minimizing Jihad and Islamic terrorism, he’s transforming himself from “Commander in Chief” to “Islam defender in Chief”!

Why in 2008, he didn’t show his true colors? Then, I really believed him when he said, at least in two separate occasions, that he was not a Muslim. Liar in Chief!

To look closely at islam is to see the horror and become terrified. The senators and Representatives have no stomach for it. Easier to just be distracted by the shiny toy the left, in particular imam obama, waves in their faces to distract them. Who knows maybe it will just go away! Is the Democratic party the US equivilant of Labour in the UK? Sure seems like it, in how Obama coddled Muslims and never deviates from the far left talking points. The reason he turns a blind eye to violent islam is because he agrees with them- he shares their hatred for Israel, their hatred for Christianity and their hatred for the west.

Yes Democrats in the US are basically the same as Labour in the UK. Socialists in ideology. Tools for facilitating the mandate of the 3rd Jihad. Destroying the image of these two political parties is the only way Westerners have to halt and neutralize islam. Unfortunately the majority of the electorate is so tuned out, politically correct, and just plain stupid that these two forces of evil flourish. We need to organize and actively publicize all the harm committed and allowed by democrats and the labour party so that Republicans and Conservatives can win and start to push back the rising tide of islam. Otherwise, we are done…a long slow death (maybe not so long and slow) to our values and freedoms. No future for our children. The best way to convince the voting population is to make them glaringly aware of how much worse off they are living under Labour or Democratic rule…as in loss of income due to high taxes because we are funding immigrants to live on welfare while we go out and work.

  12. Robert Miller says

    Feb 9, 2015 at 5:47 pm

Spencer is right about Islam, but he’s wrong about global warming, which is not a hoax as he has said.

As for this baloney about a nonexistent “scandal” regarding temperature record adjustment:

“Why do they have to be processed at all? Because almost none of the records are continuous. Weather stations have moved, they’ve changed the time of day where the temperature-of-record is taken, and they’ve replaced old thermometers with more modern equipment. All of these events create discontinuities in the record of each location, and the processing is used to get things into alignment, creating a single, unified record.

“Does it work? The team behind the Berkeley Earth project performed a different analysis in which they didn’t process to create a single record and instead treated the discontinuities as breaks that defined separate temperature records. Their results were indistinguishable from the normal analysis.

“We knew this already; we knew it two years ago when Fox published its misguided piece. But our knowledge hasn’t stopped Booker from writing two columns using hyped terms like “scandal” and claiming the public’s being “tricked by flawed data on global warming.” All of this based on a few posts by a blogger who has gone around cherry picking a handful of temperature stations and claiming the adjustments have led to a warming bias.

“Why would Booker latch on to this without first talking to someone with actual expertise in temperature records? A quick look at his Wikipedia entry shows that he has a lot of issues with science in general, claiming that things like asbestos and second-hand smoke are harmless, and arguing against evolution. So, this sort of immunity to well-established evidence seems to be a recurring theme in his writing.”

I thought there was something familiar about the timing of that article, and there was also a familiar stench of shady dealing along with the memory…. so I followed it back, and, yes, the article is rubbish on several points. The first and most amusing, is that the name front and centre in the article, Richard Muller, cannot be taking the least bit seriously….. He had claimed he was a skeptic, who had been convinced by his own hard work etc….. except, he never was a skeptic. He was always a warmist, as legitimate skeptics were quick to point out, and he and his daughter had been running a business for several years, ‘educating’ people on how to, overstating it a bit here, ‘save the world from climate hell’. This ‘study’ was itself subject to very harsh judgment by peers…..

WJ can be safely ignored on this subject.

And, you know, the problems of terrorism and dysfunction and chaos, along with plane crashes and a few other things, that’s the equivalent when it comes to covering international affairs.
    …………………………….

My God, what a condescending *sshole. Even if one were to consider “climate change” a serious issue, his sneering dismissal of the metastisizing Jihad threat is simply sickening.

    More:

you’ve got a bunch of violent, vicious zealots who behead people or randomly shoot a bunch of folks in a deli in Paris…
    …………………………….

No wonder he not only didn’t bother showing up at the march in France, but didn’t even bother to send anyone…sickening.

And here’s *another* reason his bullsh*t is wrong: as horrific as the Jihad threat is *now*, it is showing no signs of slowing—just the opposite. It is not just growing, it is *mushrooming*. Before 9/11, terrorist attacks in the West were virtually unheard of. Now—God help us—they are commonplace. And things are getting progressively worse elsewhere, as well—Al Qaida, Boko Haram, the rise of the Islamic State, on and on—bombings, mass kidnappings, commando-style attacks.

    More:

There’s just not going to be a lot of interest in a headline story that we have cut infant mortality by really significant amounts over the last 20 years or that extreme poverty has been slashed or that there’s been enormous progress with a program we set up when I first came into office to help poor farmers increase productivity and yields…
    …………………………….

All well and good—never mind that Obama himself had little to do with any of this—but how are these programs going to fare in the face of an increasing Jihad threat? Not terribly well, I’d imagine. How is infant mortality faring in the Islamic State? How about about crop yields? How about poverty rates for anyone except Jihadists taking other’s property as *booty*?

That’s why this kind of argument is so bogus.

It would be like chiding someone in 1939 alarmed over the rise of Fascism for failing to overlook the toll from accidental falls from ladders…

Your point about Arctic ice was valid until 2007 and all the subsequent Winter freezes which have expanded ice coverage to record levels. It is not for nothing the Russians recently commissioned more nuclear ice breakers.

The climate changes radically in the short and long term. CO2 is but one small piece of the climate puzzle. Human contributions to CO2 are smaller still.

    • Wellington says

      Feb 9, 2015 at 6:47 pm

Agreed, Beagle. Humans, from all their activities, pump out about 8 gigatons of CO2 into the atmosphere annually. By contrast, the oceans of the world emit into the atmosphere from condesation hundreds of gigatons of CO2 yearly. Yes, what the oceans emit, they to a great extent thereafter absorb, but not everywhere. For instance, the Baltic sea emits more CO2 than it thereafter absorbs. In any case, 8 gigatons of CO2 is a nugatory amount and of no importance where the planet in general is concerned. It doesn’t even remotely fall within the variance of CO2 emissions by the oceans on a yearly basis, such variance being 40 gigatons or more.

There is also the uncomfortable fact that during the Paleozoic Era, some 400 million years ago, the earth went through an horrific ice age, much more extensive than the last one which ended (or at least ceased temporarily) with the retreat of the Wisconsin glaciation about 12,000 years ago. During this Paleozoic ice age CO2 levels in the atmosphere were 8-10 times the levels they are now. If CO2 causes global warming, then how is this explained? Some, knowing this fact and still fans of AGW, aver that the Sun 400 million years ago was dimmer than it is now and this accounts for what occurred, but this is straining the argument big time. And now, per this very article by Robert Spencer (this time I got the author of the article correct), Paul Homewood has discovered that manipulation of temperatures have occurred repeatedly. Climate is far more influenced by other factors like solar activity and ocearn currents but I have no doubt Obama is oblivious of this as he is of so many areas of knowledge. Well, just as lies have to be told to excuse Islam, so do lies have to be told to continue the promotion of AGW.

Why is all this about the farce which is AGW important? To anyone of sense it should be obvious that if you can buy nonsense in one area (e.g. Anthropogenic Global Warming), then you can quite easily buy nonsense in another area (e.g., Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance). I submit that Obama not being concerned about Islam and yet promoting the fraud which is AGW are directly related. Should not be separated in fact.

You are always right about Islam, but unfortunately you are wrong about global warming, which is not a hoax as you have has said.

The National Science Academies of dozens of nations around are in agreement that global warming is not a hoax. The belief that fossil fuel emissions result in global warming does no merely rest on temperature records. It rests on physics. Scientists have understood for 190 years that CO2 and other greenhouse gases would unavoidably cause a rise in average temperature of the atmosphere. Could you possibly do yourself a favor and read just ONE article on this subject?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenhouse_effect

In fact, AGW represents a watershed in Western history, the specific watershed being the politicization of science. Bad enough the liberal arts have been terribly politicized by the Left, but now science is being polluted by modern nonsense. But, on a specific note, forget about Hooker. Any statistic, data analysis or report that is used for political or activist purposes should be taken with a large measurement of salt. The object of it is to use something that sounds scientific or based in fact in order to sway people’s opinion. The purpose of it by default invalidates the reliability of it all. Statistics, data analysis and reports that are valid can stand on their own and do not require hype or hysteria. In addition anyone can edit wikipedia. I’ve seem it done. You can believe that garbage if you want. I’ll remain skeptical.

It doesn’t in the least. In the above rants, WJ tries to discredit CB by dragging down critical thinking re: asbestos and second hand smoke….

There are 3 variants of asbestos that have been used in shipbuilding, construction, insulation etc. They can be identified by their technical names, or their colour. The Blue asbestos is very dangerous. Used in shipbuilding, it caused a large number of deaths, of an appalling nature. The White, the most commonly used?? Rather close to harmless. Check out the sellout of science to politics, in the US decision to ban asbestos. Sickening.

As for second hand smoke….. as an asthma sufferer, I loath it. And wish people would give up a dirty, smelly, vile habit/addiction. As for it being a cause of cancer….. The confidence level of 95% was not giving the desired (negative) results, so in order to get the results…. the standard was, mmm,,, ‘adjusted’ to 90%….. Science was again sold out, to politics.

And the funding for the panic mongers is absolutely massive, compared to that available to legitimate scientists, who don’t produce the politically correct and scientifically weak ‘right’ answers.
A late American president was correct when he warned against the military/industrial complex, and is rightly lauded for doing so. Not as commonly know, was his warning (in the same speech) about what has turned out to be an even greater threat: the political/scientific complex….

The New Left, Obama’s generation, are showing the rigidity of thinking that comes with aging. In the past, the attitudes of this generation were kept in check, to some extent, by the WW2 and Korean War generation, who have now departed the scene or retired. The New Left now holds the reins of power unchecked, even by their offspring, who have by and large, been successfully indoctrinated into their parents modes of thinking and values. Obama and his ilk think that they are hero’s of peace, which is really just a self accolade, however it’s becoming increasingly clear that they are unfit to lead their nations in war. The children of the New Left need to take a cold shower and realise that their parents have led them astray, along a course of neglect that is steadily stripping away their freedoms.

The sun cycles have more impact than man. Our co2 input is a drop in the bucket on the total scale of things.

There is no evolution. It is mathematically IMPOSSIBLE and it goes against the second law of thermodynamics called entropy. All things go through DE-EVOLUTION. Name one, just one beneficial mutation.

There is indeed evolution, Joseph, and the entropy argument was debunked long ago. We have over 80,000 Neanderthal skeletons alone. We can date the earliest hominids back to as much as 7 million years ago (Sahelanthropus tchadensis). We have at least six known species of Australopithecus datable from about 5 million to 1 million years ago. The Homo genus began with habilis some 2 and a quarter million years ago. Later there is Homo erectus (the hominid that left Africa). The size of the craniums have been measured with great precision. For instance Homo habilis had a cranial capacity of some 750cc, Homo erectus 1000cc and Homo sapiens (us) around 1350cc. The evidence is massive for evolution. Absolutely overwhelming. I am an AGW skeptic but if you’re going to deny the evolution of man you might as well deny the earth revolves around the sun.

Whenever Muslims or Islamic apologists respond to criticism of Islam, we see them instantly resort to argumentum ad hominem, even though that is the most well-known logical fallacy of all. Your entire comment consists entirely of ad hominem against Richard Muller and nothing more. Are you satisfied to use exactly the same tactic the Muslims always use? Richard Muller didn’t write the article, but yes, Richard Muller did realize he had been wrong and changed his mind. Your idea that for some reason he insincerely published fallacious conclusions just so he could later admit that they were wrong is absurd. Scientists’ reputations are based on how often they get it right. The last thing they want to do is to put themselves in the position of having to admit that they were wrong, so they do their best to get it right in order to avoid that situation. But when they realize they were wrong they don’t have much choice – if they want to be honest scientists they have to admit their mistakes and move on. That is the honest and honorable thing to do. You said the article was “rubbish on several points” but in fact you only presented one point, namely your ad hominem that Richard Muller produced a “stench” by being honest enough to admit that he got it wrong the first time around. It seems that you read the first two sentences of the article, saw a way to attack it by ad hominem, and read no further. You don’t want anyone else to read it either, so you tell people that I can be “safely ignored,” even though you have offered no rebuttal whatever except an empty ad hominem. You have perfectly mastered the very same tactics the Islamic apologists use every time we hear from them. Are you satisfied to be using the Islamic apologists’ favorite debate tactics – or would you like to do better?

Your attacks on Booker are nothing more than ad hom, and unlike you I actually mentioned a few facts about the lack of quality of your alleged devastating site…. Which is not devastating in any way. And since the name of the fraud (not name calling, an accurate description, as anyone who looks will find) does not appear in the first two sentences…. It seems you didn’t read the article, while I did.

“Are you satisfied to use exactly the same tactic the Muslims always use?”

Since I’m not, that comment shows just how weak your efforts are.

” Richard Muller didn’t write the article,”

No one here said he did…… You really are grasping at straws.

” but yes, Richard Muller did realize he had been wrong and changed his mind.”

Wrong. He never was a skeptic, he had jumped on the ‘lets make money’ bandwagon years prior, as he was also issuing statements that were NOT skeptical.

“You said the article was “rubbish on several points” but in fact you only presented one point, namely your ad hominem that Richard Muller produced a “stench” by being honest enough to admit that he got it wrong the first time around”

Except, his lie about ‘being honest enough to admit that he got it wrong the first time around’, is utter rubbish, which has no resemblance to his prior stance…. which was very much similar to your own.

Like many others, I followed this story when it first came out….. And that ANYONE, but ANYONE would still be so ill-informed about this clown…..

          From Grist.org on 7 Oct 2008

“The bottom line is that there is a consensus — the [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] — and the president needs to know what the IPCC says. Second, they say that most of the warming of the last 50 years is probably due to humans. You need to know that this is from carbon dioxide, and you need to understand which technologies can reduce this and which can’t. Roughly 1 degree Fahrenheit of global warming has taken place; we’re responsible for one quarter of it. If we cut back so we don’t cause any more, global warming will be delayed by three years and keep on going up. And now the developing world is producing most of the carbon dioxide.”

And he has, on Hufpo, admitted that he never was a skeptic.

Me, imitating mass murdering loons, by telling the truth about a fraud….

You really can be safely ignored by anyone interested in facts, but should be watched, as should anyone so sadly ill-informed.

    “The planet is wobbling!”

    Global warming? PAH!

    Climate change? PHOOEY!

The biggest threat to this planet and all of it’s inhabitants is AXIS SHIFT!

The norther countries through there greed and insatiable appetites have caused most of the planets resources to be diverted to the north. Resources such as gold, masses of timber from the rain forests, billions of barrels of oil and imported goods from poor disadvantaged countries is causing an imbalance in the distribution of weight on the planet. That is like taping a dollar fifty in quarters on one blade of your ceiling fan. It will start to wobble.
The earth is rotating at 900 nautical miles per hour and orbiting around the sun at 803,621,917.8 miles per hour. As the planet wobbles in it’s orbit, summers in the northern hemisphere last longer due to more direct sunlight and winters are colder and more devastating due to all of the moisture in the air from long summer evaporation.

Do not fret my brothers and sisters, we can solve the problem of Axis Shift by redistribution of wealth and resources from the greedy northern countries, especially America, to the poor disadvantaged countries in the southern hemisphere. And in so doing, we can balance out the planet’s rotation into perfect harmony, and there will be peace and plenty for all.

If you believe that bullshiite there is a bridge in Brooklyn I will sell you.

Everyone, keep a very close watch on the racist riots in America. Americans carry guns both blacks and whites. Severe provocations by terrorists such as ISIS could bring them all out of the closet and cause the streets of American cities to flow with blood.

Why do you think Obama is playing terrorism down as insignificant? You think the Americans don’t know that ISIS is trying to create instability especially in America knowing that the fabric of American society is almost destroyed racially? ISIS know only too well the tension between black and white is at boiling point.

There IS a way to fight ISIS effectively. We must stand up to them. We must condemn them for what they do to people. They are uncivilized and barbaric, and this is a very easy case to make. My fear is that we do not, as a country, have the guts to do it. In order to defeat them, first each and every terrorist must be eliminated. Radical Islam needs to be outlawed in the world. There must also be a reformation of Islam to prevent further recurrence which would require re-education efforts. Muslim women would love this. This can be done but it will take guts to do it.

      B. Hussein. Obama in his blaming of the media for exposing ISIS terror, is acting as an agent for ISIS and is clearly on the side of ISIS. His unequivocal defense of Islam is another example of his intentions. Could anyone imagine FDR taking a position to hide what the Third Reich was systematically doing to Jews, some Christians, and other groups, then telling everyone that the Third Reich is an honorable group of good people. If he had, he would have been imprisoned. ISIS is systematically and publically killing people in front of all Muslims and the world in a most vicious manner as a form of propaganda and to produce booty.

The German people themselves were never bad people no more than the Swede’s, Scottish, Russians, or anyone else. The fact is they were led by am evil “Pied Piper” named Hitler. The USA is now led by an evil “Pied Piper” named B. Hussein Obama. If he succeeds, Muslims and ISIS will take over the world and force everyone back into the 7th century. This appears to be his goal.

I see that Baha’i apologist for Islam David is back. He wrote:

I can’t imagine anything worse than a fanatical nuclear East vs the nuclear materialistic west.
      ………………………………

So he considers the “fanatical East”—I presume he means Islam—morally equivalent to the “materialistic West”? On what basis?

In fact, David has said this before—that the horrors of Islam are no big deal compared to the shortcomings of the West.

      More:

Or east vs west fighting in the streets of Capitol cities descending into chaos and anarchy.
      ………………………………

It needn’t come to that if we act soon enough. But what if this was the only option besides our rolling over for savage Shari’ah law? Would David be OK with that? It would seem so.

      More:

Everyone, keep a very close watch on the racist riots in America. Americans carry guns both blacks and whites. Severe provocations by terrorists such as ISIS could bring them all out of the closet and cause the streets of American cities to flow with blood.
      ………………………………

So *actual* violence from Muslims—which has been mushrooming in Jihad terror attacks all over the West—is not an issue, but armed Americans are?

      More:

You can’t fight darkness with anything but light.

The only way to fight terrorism (darkness) is for humanity blacks, whites, rich, poor, Muslim, Christian, Jew to all accept their common humanity and the equality of all mankind. As long as humanity remains partitioned in groups the threat of war hovers over us.
      ………………………………

That sounds great. But why does he think Muslims would join with this—given that it is their creed teaches violent Muslim supremacism?

      More:

All humanity must accept its oneness that no country or religion or race is superior to another then we can live in peace. This is the Teaching of Baha’u’llah for this age and we have no choice but to accept our common humanity if we really want to live in peace and want an end to terrorism.
      ………………………………

Why *must they*? The response of Muslim in the homeland of Baha’i—Iran—is to oppress and slaughter them for daring to preach this vision of peace.

And why would he assume that Muslims want to live in peace and see an end to terrorism? More and more, their actions point to the *exact opposite* of this.

David may be in the free West, but he is still whitewashing Islam for his Muslim overlords. *Ugh*.

When Obama talks global warming, what he is really saying is that he wants the world to be colder. Ponder it..

Between 95-98% of all carbon is natural, if the 3% we are sending into the air is putting us over the edge, then nature itself has us on the edge, not humans.

If one believes humans burning fossil fuels is the cause of CO2 buildup, then limiting humans would be a possible answer, and the leftists and globalists follow this.

However, importing humans from warm climates (i.e. Mexico), into areas that require, say the heating of homes (Northern North America) will make the carbon output climb, it is at odds with any attempt to limit emissions to import more humans. So , if global warming is what they say , you must tie the movement of humans into colder areas as part of the problem.

If they make the world colder( That would be the end game), humans will output MORE Co2 from heating needs. This says nothing about electric production, cars on the road, urban expansion ,etc, that comes from importing humans. Less humans using “fossil fuels” is not the direction Obama is going.

The Sun is the major driver of climate in our solar system. How about talking about Moon shift? We are loosing the Moon, another 27,000 miles out and we are in for a new ride on this ball. What can we do?

He conned this entire nation. That takes brains. He may believe his own BS as BS artists do but ignorant, no. He speaks the language of the terrorists. Terrorists are not ignorant nor are they insane. When he compared (500 to 900 year ago) Christian Crusades with todays terrorists, he was using the language of terrorists to defend terrorists. These are words that terrorists themselves say. He unequivocally defends Islam in a way that shoves it in the face of Christians. Obama is a communist (his parents and most friends also communists) but he pretends to be a Christian and loves Muslims. Communists hate Christians or Jews and would immediately recognize that Islam is to Christians and Jews as a mongoose is to snakes. He assists the mongoose in every way he can. Terrorists to him are just bad boys doing wrong but in their hearts they are doing good works when they get rid of Christians and Jews. He must be heavily coerced to send defensive arms to Christians and Jews but can’t wait to give arms to Muslims. There is a specific pattern to what he does and says, even if much is political BS. But, with Islam change, the proofs are right there in your face, self-defined and self-proclaimed by the perpetrators… and nobody pays any attention to its easily verified facts.

The lesson is that fictive reality cuts both ways. And that makes perfects sense from a system standpoint. If a culture is willing to believe in lies, it doesn’t matter which way.

We know factually that the “hands up” narrative is a lie. Climate change is a bit more complicated but easily debunked. Have we seen any of these so called experts discuss the Suns temperature and other planets’ temperatures as compared to Earth. Also why is it that they changed the name from global warming to climate change after learning that the Earth is actually getting colder as it normally does in cycles. Here is an excellent and very authoritative 84-page explanation of climate change and how we know it is not a “hoax:”

What, and you didn’t list the skeptics who have been involved with the IPCC, and expressed their disgust with the political influence overwhelming the science?? Or the sloppy inclusion of non-peer reviewed input into the process??

Gee, you wouldn’t be trying to mislead people, now would you??

There are thousands of weather stations in the world. For various reasons, scientists need to make adjustments to the recorded temperatures in order to get the most correct analysis. Adjustments will go more or less randomly in both directions over time, so in general the adjustments for one weather station will not result in very much overall temperature change in one direction over time. But if you look through the data for thousands of weather stations, eventually you will probably find some unusual cases in which the adjustments DID result in an overall change in one direction over time. That is just a consequence of statistics. So that is exactly what Paul Homewood did. He looked at the data for hundreds of weather stations until finally he found a grand total of THREE weather stations, all in Paraguay, in which the adjustments resulted in an overall temperature change in one direction over time. It is not the least bit surprising that he happened to find these few unusual cases. It would only be surprising if he HADN’T found them. It is just what a statistician would expect to find. Yet Christopher Booker has chosen to offer up this totally unsurprising and predictable discovery as “the biggest science scandal ever!” This is utterly ludicrous and absurd. Not only is there no scandal, there is not even any surprise. If you asked each of a thousand people to toss seven pennies, would you be surprised if a few people tossed seven heads? No, you would expect it. It wouldn’t serve as material for any “scandal” at all, and neither does the matter of the three weather stations in Paraguay.

Amazing how the ‘most correct’ results from an abnormal ‘adjustments’ in a upward direction for recent temps, and downward mainly in older records, which would give a false overall increase. But you were of course going to mention that.

        Feb 10, 2015 at 2:24 pm

I have no idea what you think is “amazing.” I did my best to explain why there is nothing “amazing” about it at all. Homewood found THREE weather stations, out of the THOUSANDS of weather stations in the world, that happened to have been adjusted so has to give the appearance he was looking for. As I tried to explain, one would EXPECT that out of thousands of cases there would be some cases like the ones he found. Is it likely that you can take seven pennies and toss seven heads on the first try? No. But if a THOUSAND people each toss seven pennies, on average about eight people will toss seven heads. This is closely analogous to the fact that out of thousands of weather stations, a few can be EXPECTED to have exactly the appearance that “looks suspicious.” The reason I didn’t mention the matter about needing downward adjustments in earlier records along with upward adjustments in later records was because first of all that seems obvious if you want to “fix” the records to give an appearance of warming, and second of all because it is somewhat irrelevant to the point I was making. The point I was making is that if you have THOUSANDS of weather stations to cherry-pick from, you will be able to find a few weather stations to support ANY APPEARANCE YOU WANT. Homewood wanted to find an appearance of fixing to show warming over time so he chose the three in Paraguay. If anyone wanted to claim fixing in the other direction he could find cases to support that just as easily. Have you ever taken a course in statistics may I ask? Or are you just going to try to figure out some way of insulting me for asking such a question? That is what I predict you will do, since now it seems that you are actually starting to think about Homewood’s argument, and you just might be smart enough to realize its utter worthlessness. So now we will see if you will continue to imitate the dear Muslims, by using using ad hominems to defend a heap of baloney.

AS one of the most active cherry pickers I have ever been amused by, your own efforts are frankly worthless. Your knowledge base is pathetic, and as for your rants…. they could best be described as unsubstantiated non sequitur ad hominem diatribes. I stated the fact about your hero, that he was and is a fraud. Never once a climate skeptic, but a co-author of a shabby and worthless effort, as befits a publicity hound.

A few more choice quotes from the fraud:

“carbon dioxide from burning of fossil fuels will prove to be the greatest pollutant of human history. It is likely to have severe and detrimental effects on global climate.” (Richard Muller, 2003).

“There is a consensus that global warming is real. …it’s going to get much, much worse.” (Richard Muller, 2008:)

And the last centuries climate record being changed by a very famous astrophysicist, who made well over a million $$ from his advocacy work? Oh, let’s ignore that while we are at it.

The quality of the data from the sites is in a majority of cases extremely poor…. The siting leads to and continues to lead to wildly inaccurate figures, and the ‘correction’ figures and methods are not made public.

Oh, and yes, I have taken stats as part of my course load…. And I am very aware of the shabby state of the recording station, and the utter worthlessness of the paper you refer people to….. And your amazing ability to pretend that calling a fraud a fraud, makes me some kind of a muslim……. You are truly pathetic.

Now you have just descended to telling an outright lie, as anyone can see by reading my comments. As you know very well I never said or pretended that calling a fraud a fraud, makes you some kind of a Muslim. I said that you imitate the dear Muslims, by using ad hominems to defend a heap of baloney, and I said that “you have perfectly mastered the very same tactics the Islamic apologists use every time we hear from them” – namely, instantly resorting to argumentum ad hominem. And that is all you have done in every single reply you have made to me. And after all your typing and all your insults you still have yet to offer ANY rebuttal whatever, other than relentless ad hominems, to anything I have said. That’s the problem with ad hominems. In the end they only make it clear that you have no proper argument, you only have insults.

You really know how to throw rocks at others, and loath having someone pick them up and throw them back at you, don’t you???

“Now you have just descended to telling an outright lie, as anyone can see by reading my comments. As you know very well I never said or pretended that calling a fraud a fraud, makes you some kind of a Muslim.”

Except, that is what has happened. I point out that the centerpiece of the article is a fraud, falsely claiming to be a reformed skeptic.. which you did not bother to acknowledge the truth of. An accurate description of someone is NOT an ad hominem, it is an accurate description.

” I said that you imitate the dear Muslims, by using ad hominems to defend a heap of baloney”

See first reply in this post, and you have mastered the other scam pulled by your dear muslims, that of ignoring an inconvenient fact that you don’t like, and going on the attack…. So, are you suni or shite??

“and I said that “you have perfectly mastered the very same tactics the Islamic apologists use every time we hear from them” – namely, instantly resorting to argumentum ad hominem.”

Again, if the description is accurate, it is not an ad hominem. Your inability to understand that is truly amazing, and the energy you expend to do so, must leave you exhausted.

“And that is all you have done in every single reply you have made to me.”

No, I accurately described someone who was and is not a skeptic as being a fraud, and gave you the quotes to prove it…. You must have missed that part, again as the result of an extreme effort on your part to remain blind to the fact….

” And after all your typing and all your insults you still have yet to offer ANY rebuttal whatever, other than relentless ad hominems, to anything I have said.”

Ah yes, you continue to refuse to acknowledge the quotes given, that prove that you are off base and very poorly informed.

Ho about another one for you to ignore (or lie about)…. Curry, a co-author of the report the article you insist is gold, threatened to quit over Muller overstating his case….

“That’s the problem with ad hominems. In the end they only make it clear that you have no proper argument, you only have insults”

An excellent description of yourself….. must be painful for you to acknowledge what is probably a decades old failure such as that…..

Oh, and your description of Homewood cherry picking 3 sites in Paraguay to get his desired results, is another display of ignorance on your part, or just another Ad hom, which you just cant stop dong!!!! He has checked other sites surrounding the 3 he first selected…. and found the same thing….. a cooling trend magically transformed into a warming trend.. Pity you can’t or won’t agree that this is really amazing.

I have offered numerous examples of why your post is of no value, and if you don’t like being shown up to be un or ill informed, or worse, maybe you should refrain from insulting the skeptics who you so glibly attack, without any basis to do so.

Don’t know where you got that attack on his integrity from, but it is a complete fabrication. And he has examined the records of sites in proximity to the original 3, as well as others in much colder climates…. and found the same sad and sorry state.

I suggest you own him an apology, for your uncalled for and unsubstantiated smear of his work and his character.

“Whenever Muslims or Islamic apologists respond to criticism of Islam, we see them instantly resort to argumentum ad hominem, even though that is the most well-known logical fallacy of all. Your entire comment consists entirely of ad hominem against Richard Muller and nothing more. Are you satisfied to use exactly the same tactic the Muslims always use? Richard Muller didn’t write the article, but yes, Richard Muller did realize he had been wrong and changed his mind.”

I did not indulge in an ad hom attack, I correct the falsehoods that you are so desperate to cling to, and have supplied quotes that are more than enough to confirm that he is not and has not been a skeptic. And to you that is an ad hom???

          You’d make a great muslim.

“He does refer to “violent extremism,” which seems to be his euphemism of choice these days, as it is also the name of his Countering Violent Extremism summit, which should be renamed Countering the Threat We Dare Not Name.”

I submit that the Politically Modified Meme “violent extremism” could be something a little different than just a mere euphemism. Perhaps there’s a method to the seeming madness of rejecting any notion that Islam might be violent from the get-go. Consider the case of Breivik, the almost archetypical angry white men, and one can see that, already, the notion of what constitutes an extremist is being broadened to be more “inclusive” (sounds positive, doesn’t it?). Pretty soon the infamous “War on Terror” may come knocking on your door, when the category of extremist has been expanded to mean: “anyone who opposes government”. What if this War on Terror is less about protecting us from the violent doctrine of Islam and more about government power? Just saying..

The attempt to control humans is really the agenda, using the globalist mindset . Obama has no answer to natural climate change/ shift. He can only regulate and control human activity .

All data is focused on human caused changes, at least as to what they try and present as such, and all globalist progressive ideas present data that is used to gain control over human activity. Progressives and islam have much in common..
