Clearly the police thought that this “blasphemer” deserved what he got.
“Bangladesh police stood close by during US blogger attack: Wife,” Reuters, March 11, 2015 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
DHAKA: The wife of an American blogger and critic of religious extremism who was hacked to death in Dhaka last month said that police stood nearby when the couple were attacked on a university campus in the Bangladesh capital.
Avijit Roy, an engineer of Bangladeshi origin, was killed by machete-wielding assailants when returning from a book fair. His wife, Rafida Bonya Ahmed, suffered head injuries and lost a finger.
“While Avijit and I were being ruthlessly attacked, the local police stood close by and did not act,” Rafida told Reuters. “Now, we demand that the Bangladeshi government do everything in its power to bring the murderers to justice.”…
Avijit’s killing follows a string of attacks on secular bloggers in recent years in the Muslim-majority nation. Media group Reporters Without Borders rated Bangladesh 146th among 180 countries in a ranking of press freedom last year….

They can claim innocences. Yet God, (The true living God), knows their deeds….
“They hold fast to deceit, They refuse to return. “I have listened and heard, They have spoken what is not right; No man repented of his wickedness, Saying, `What have I done?’ Everyone turned to his course, Like a horse charging into the battle. “Even the stork in the sky Knows her seasons; And the turtledove and the swift and the thrush Observe the time of their migration; But My people do not know The ordinance of the LORD.”

Most of the evil of the world has religion as it’s origin. Believing the nonsense of your quote shows a dupe.
Jeremiah8: 5-7 is bullcrap. How can anyone believe this nonsense.

The same way anyone would question how over a thousand years before Jesus was even born, Psalm 22 was written……..
Describing the very way He would die.

You are looking at this from the wrong end. It is more likely that the gospel writers who were writing about events about 100 years later, used the Psalm 22 to give credibility to their stories. The Romans crucified people like they had hot dinners, all the time. They did not allow victims to survive, they left them on the cross to rot. This was to terrorise people into not rebelling against Rome. They did not kindly allow the relatives to take the d bodies down. There is also nothing unique about Jesus’s
supposed crucifiction, there are at least 15 other ‘saviours’ in various lands who are said to have been crucified. The question is who put the fiction in crucifiction?
Even the cross as used today is wrong. Prior to the 15th cenbtury the artists depicted the real Roman cross as it would have been a tenon joint forming a T shape.

Liar. Religions teach different things and its followers do different things.

Actually, in a Muslim-majority country, you’re better off under a dictatorship. The dictator takes non-official violence and assaults as a personal affront and acts accordingly. This is the reason that Christians were able to prosper under dictators Saddam Hussein, Assad, Gaddaffy, and Mubarak, among others.
The Republican senators, in opposing the agreement with Iran, are specifying that Assad should be deposed from power as part of the alternative.
Here’s the scenario as they appear to envision it. Assad is deposed. The other Muslim countries in the region contribute troops to a regional effort to rid the region of ISIS, without allowing Iran any influence.
The only problems with this scenario:
1) The only successful Iraqi moves against ISIS have been led by an Iranian agent;
2) The Syrian government, especially the army, is not likely to stay together as a cohesive entity in the chaos resulting from the forceful deposing of the Syrian government during an intense war;
3) Turkey will be a prime contributor to the proposed joint military effort.
What could go wrong?
The only really sure thing about this plan is that it will open up the rest of Syria to ISIS.
Depending on Turkey for anything is always likely to backfire. Turkey is more likely to be interested in weakening Kurdistan, the only other local entity enjoying some success in pushing ISIS back.
Depending on the Arab countries to work together on anything, except creating UN resolutions against Israel and against the freedom of speech, is always likely to backfire.
In sum, the Republicans, while on the track on opposing the proposed agreement with Iran, are pushing a harebrained scheme which is likely to eliminate the small number of Christians still being protected in Syrian territory under the control of the Syrian government. The “coalition” will dissolve of its own internal stresses, and ISIS will be able to infiltrate territory formerly held by the Syrian government.
Is this posting off-track for the subject matter? Let me go back to the main thesis: in Muslim majority countries, the best governments are autocratic dictatorships not sympathetic to the influence of Muslim clerics. The US lawmakers, including Republicans, are still operating under the delusion that the US has an interest in deposing strong, sometimes brutal, Middle Eastern dictators, a delusion which has without any doubt at all been instrumental in creating ISIS.

You make many good observations. As I see it, Assad will eventually be removed and perhaps ISIS will fill the void, but only temporarily. Iran will continue to expand their conquests across the region to the borders of Israel. I believe this is what Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt realize. This would certainly make a preemptive strike by Israel easier. Iran is removing ISIS all by itself and has been awaiting this opportunity. And I believe this has been Obama’s #1 reason to coddle the Iranians: Iranian troops are Obama’s proxy boots on the ground. It’s a short term winning of the battle but will result in losing the war, as Netanyahu said in his speech.

Sadly, you are correct. I know someone who went to Libya to treat a member of Qadaffi’s family. This non-Muslim medical specialist was protected and treated well from the airport, throughout the visit, and back.
Protip: Don’t try visiting Libya now.

This is Islam at its “finest”!! Killing a critic of Islam is every Muslim’s duty and that is what this Muslim mob did and so the police didn’t interfere with them!! How can they save a critic of Islam? Muslims do not have a conscience when it comes to Islam!
Islam is a scourge on humanity and Muslims cannot be called human beings!!

PUBLIC PPL HAS NOT RIGHT/RESPONSIBLE TO PUNISH PERSON/PEOPLE ACCORDING TO ISLAMIC LAW,KILLING PPL IS PUNISHABLE OFFENCE,
Islam gives the right of freedom of thought and expression to all citizens of the Islamic State on the condition that it should be used for the propagation of virtue and truth and not for spreading evil and wickedness. This Islamic concept of freedom of expression is much superior to the concept prevalent in the West. Under no circumstances would Islam allow evil and wickedness to be propagated. It also does not give anybody the right to use abusive or offensive language in the name of criticism. The right to freedom of expression for the sake of propagating virtue and righteousness is not only a right in Islam but an obligation. One who tries to deny this right to his people is openly at
war with God, the All-Powerful. And the same thing applies to the attempt to stop people from evil. Whether this evil is perpetrated by an individual or by a group of people or the government of one’s own country, or the government of some other country; it is the right of a Muslim and it is also his obligation that he should warn and reprimand the evil-doer and try to stop him from doing it. Over and above, he should openly and publicly condemn it and show the course of righteousness which that individual, nation or government should adopt.
The Holy Quran has described this quality of the Faithful in the following words: “They enjoin what is proper and forbid what is improper” (9:71).
In contrast, describing the qualities of a hypocrite,
the Quran mentions: “They bid what is improper and forbid what is proper” (9:67).
The main purpose of an Islamic Government has been defined by God in the Quran as follows:
“If we give authority to these men on earth they will keep up prayers, and offer poor-due, bid what is proper and forbid what is improper” (22:41).
The Prophet (pbuh) has said: “If any one of you comes across an evil, he should try to stop it with his hand (using force), if he is not in a position to stop it with his hand
then he should try to stop it by means of his tongue (meaning he should speak against it). If he is not even able to use his tongue then he should at least condemn it in his heart. This is the weakest degree of faith” (Muslim).
This obligation of inviting people to righteousness and forbidding them to adopt the paths of evil is incumbent on all true Muslims. If any government deprives its citizens of this right, and prevents them from performing this duty, then it is in direct conflict
with the injunction of God. The government is not in conflict with its people, but is in conflict with God. In this way it is at war with God and is trying to usurp that right of its people which God has conferred not only as a right but as an obligation. As far as the government which itself propagates evil, wickedness and obscenity and interferes with
those who are inviting people to virtue and righteousness is concerned, according to the Holy Quran it is the government of the hypocrites.

@shabeer_hassan.
The real test of integrity and truth is whether it can withstand the scrutiny and evil of those who hate it. Muslims revert to violence, anger and bloodshed without exception, when they are scrutinized and questioned about their beliefs. They are the CRY BABIES OF THE WORLD!
So how’s that make your blithering rant a valid argument for the truth???? Answer: The only real truth is found in THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, ALMIGHTY, SON OF THE FATHER, who himself said, “I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.” – John 14.6.
So who the hell is mohammed, claiming to be more knowledgeable than JESUS CHRIST???? Ahemm! Seems to me that somebody’s lying here!!!!!
I just wonder, ahhh, could it be, ahhh, YOUR FALSE PROPHET!?!?
P.S. The only truth and righteousness that you muzzies understand is whoever has more AK-47’s or more machetes! You’re blind leaders of the blind and you refuse to admit it when you’re wrong! You think God is impressed with all of your bloodshed and hatred, but your whole concept of truth is based on the lying words of ONE EVIL MAN!
P.S. AGAIN – You claim that God has no Son (or so your book of lies says) and that God in not a TRINITY (FATHER, SON AND BLESSED HOLY SPIRIT) But…..
In the opening chapters of your koran, mohammed is allegedly quoting the words of your allah-god verbatim, and in those opening chapters (which is all that I could stomach w/o regurgitating violently) – yes in those opening chapters of your koran, mohammed repeatedly, ad nauseum, quotes the words of allah saying, “We said”, or “We did”, etc, etc, etc. HEY ‘SHABY’ WHO THE HELL DOES THE “WE” REFER TO?
