Right after the jihad massacres in Paris in January, he wrote: “I feel like Charlie Coulibaly.” One of the massacres was at Charlie Hebdo magazine, which had published cartoons of Muhammad; the other was at the Hyper Cacher kosher supermarket, where the killer was Amedy Coulibaly.
The vile Dieudonne has previously won notoriety for his modified Nazi salute.
“Comedian Dieudonne guilty of ‘condoning terrorism,'” DW, March 18, 2015:
A French comic has been found guilty of “condoning terrorism.” Dieudonne posted a Facebook comment appearing to sympathize with one of the attackers involved in a series of killings across Paris in January.
The comedian, whose full name is Dieudonne M’bala M’bala, was arrested on January 14 after writing “I feel like Charlie Coulibaly” on Facebook.
The statement was a mix of the slogan “Je suis Charlie,” popularized in the days following the murders at the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, and the name of a gunman in a related attack, Amedy Coulibaly.
Between January 7 and 9, 17 people were killed by gunmen across Paris, starting with 10 people at the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. Coulibaly had killed a police officer on January 8 and four people at a kosher supermarket on January 9.
Dieudonne made the comment on the eve of a public march attended by almost 4 million people, to show solidarity with the journalists, police and citizens killed in the attacks.
The comic’s case was just one of several for “condoning terrorism” or “making threats to carry out terrorist acts.”
His arrest sparked a debate around free speech in France, with others caught on similar charges receiving jail sentences of up to four years.
Dieudonne had faced the possibility of a jail term of up to seven years and a potential 100,000-euro ($106,000) fine.
In the past, Dieudonne has been criticized for his trademark “quenelle” hand gesture, which some critics say looks like an inverted Nazi salute.
Dieudonne has been repeatedly fined for hate speech, while his shows have been banned in some cities as a threat to public order.
Prosecutor Annabelle Philippe accused Dieudonne of presenting “in a favorable light the acts committed by Amedy Coulibaly.”
Dieudonne denied this, saying he “condemned the attacks without any restraint and without any ambiguity.”

From that photo, it doesn’t look “inverted”.
Also, I though Dieudonné was a rapper.

I don’t like hate speech laws as they silence free speech. Muslims should be free to speak about their support for ISIS and jihad, and Western nations should deport these traitors and take away their citizenship.

I agree with post above. Financing and carrying out terrorism are crimes. *Maybe* advocating it or counselling it should also be a crime.Slippery slope. Making a *joke* about it absolutely should not be. Exile jihadis. Stop Muslim immigration. but comics and cartoonists – OFF LIMITS! Didn’t we learn from Charlie Hebdo? Otherwise we create a thought and expression police state, just like the Caliphate.

When Jon Stewart finally steps down, one figures his replacement will want to start with his own team. Jon’s departure means that his Moslem comedian used over the last few years will go. Maybe monsieur Dieudonne can get the job as Moslem token on the new Daily Show.

He should be judged in Israel.

The LIST
It is time to update the LIST of all the Muslims and check it twice, to protect ourselves and to insure who has been naughty or nice.

I don’t think he’s Muslum, in fact i think he’s not but he could be one, it has all the qualities. Anyway he’s a ropy Crétin. And BTW as far as i know he’s some kind of stand up comic in France.

He is a goat abuser (muzzie) in fact.

Free speech has to be free for all, including what Dieudonne says. He’s been charged with this sort of stuff before, right? But has he ever been charged with an actual threat or act of violence? I’m a big supporter of Robert Spencer and Pam Geller, but if anyone would know how it feels to be persecuted for speech, it would be them. I hate what Dieudonne says, and I hate his gesture, but his offensive speech is no different than Charlie Hebdo’s. And we’re all #Je Suis Charlie right?
RonaldB says
You got it.
On the one hand, you have to applaud almost any action a government takes against Islam. On the other, for sure, any restriction on free speech will be more used to silence anti-Muslim speech.
It’s better to keep the freedom of speech for all, including Muslim wanna-be comics, and shut off immigration, which is more effective and has the added benefit of not affecting the rights of those who are already citizens.
Shane says
Hate speech laws are also used in Europe to punish anyone who dares to say anything negative about Islam and Muslims, whether the statements are true or false. I loath hate speech laws as they restrict free speech. When Muslims call for the slaughter of non-Muslims in their country, then they should be arrested and jailed.

…his infamous salute resembles that of Dr Strangelove, the deranged ex-Nazi scientist.
‘Deranged’ describes the obscurantist and toxic worldview of Islam.
