Muhammad said: “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him” (Bukhari 9.84.57). The death penalty for apostasy is part of Islamic law according to all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence. This is still the position of all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence, both Sunni and Shi’ite. Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the most renowned and prominent Muslim cleric in the world, has stated: “The Muslim jurists are unanimous that apostates must be punished, yet they differ as to determining the kind of punishment to be inflicted upon them. The majority of them, including the four main schools of jurisprudence (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi`i, and Hanbali) as well as the other four schools of jurisprudence (the four Shiite schools of Az-Zaidiyyah, Al-Ithna-`ashriyyah, Al-Ja`fariyyah, and Az-Zaheriyyah) agree that apostates must be executed.” There is only disagreement over whether the law applies only to men, or to women also – some authorities hold that apostate women should not be killed, but only imprisoned in their houses until death.
Yet Muslim spokesmen such as Harris Zafar, Salam al-Marayati, M. Cherif Bassiouni, and Ali Eteraz (among many others) have assured us that Islam doesn’t punish apostasy and condemned those who point out that it does as bigots and “Islamophobes.” So are Zafar, Akyol, al-Marayati, Bassiouni, and Eteraz on their way to Africa as we speak, so as to find those who are threatening Ahmed Ali and explain to them that they are misunderstanders of Islam?
“Islamic Extremists in Sub-Saharan Africa Pursue Convert from Islam Who Fled Egypt, Morning Star News, March 2, 2015:
NAIROBI, Kenya (Morning Star News) – When Ahmed Ali, a Christian convert from Islam, fled his native Egypt to a sub-Saharan nation after months of torture by his father and brothers, loneliness was not his worst problem.
On the streets of the capital city of the African country (undisclosed for security reasons) last month, Ali’s uncle appeared – accompanied by members of an Islamic extremist group his family had hired to assault him, Ali said.
“Why have you left Islam?” various ones among them said, according to Ali. “Why did you become an infidel? You should pay for your act.”
The assailants seemed to want to kill him but succeeded only in breaking his right shoulder, which has not been properly treated, said Ali, who has gone into hiding. He has been in hiding since August 2010, when he left his parents’ house in Cairo, Egypt. His father had tied him to his bed post and had beaten him every day with an iron bar, telling him he had brought disgrace on the family, Ali told Morning Star News.
“My father beat me with an iron in the morning when he went to work, and in the evening when he returned back from work,” he said. “My younger brother also mocked me, saying, ‘Shame on you, oh infidel.'”
Family members managed to monitor his movements after he left home, and in September 2010 his father and uncle confronted him in the street in Cairo and beat him unconscious, he said. They left him at the gate of a nearby church.
Having been baptized in 2005 at a Coptic Church, Ali was welcomed and given refuge for a season. After he went into hiding at another house in Egypt, however, his older brother in 2012 sent a group of radical Islamists to set the place on fire. As his house burned, Ali received a call from his younger brother, threatening him with further assaults, he said.
“Every place you go, I will burn that place,” his brother told him, according to Ali.
He later fled to the sub-Saharan country in 2012 only to find that his family had contacted radical Muslims who learned where he was. The Islamic extremists – accompanied by officials from the Egyptian embassy in that country – went to his church and asked about his whereabouts. They said they were looking for a certain convert from Islam, he said.
“This person is wanted because he is charged with apostasy, evangelism and insulting of religions,” the Egyptian embassy personnel told the church leaders, saying the alleged crimes were punishable by 37 years of prison. Apostasy in Egypt tends to be prosecuted under blasphemy laws, with courts sometimes ruling that leaving Islam constitutes disparagement of Islam, and officials act according to sharia (Islamic law), which prohibits Muslims leaving their religion. Evangelism per se is legal but tends to be punished under statutes against “disrupting social cohesion” and against “tempting” a Muslim away from Islam.
The Islamic extremists caught up with Ali and beat him with iron implements, seriously injuring him. With the help of Christians in that country, he managed to go into hiding again.
Meantime, one of his brothers in Egypt seized his belongings and burned his vehicle. The brother managed to reach him by phone in his new country to advise him of this and to remind him that under Islamic law he was disinherited.
“You don’t deserve to inherit because you are infidel,” he told Ali….

I see a day soon where people start leaving Islam en masse just to get away from it’s cultish coercion, behavior, and indoctrination. There should be an International Leaving Islam Day.

Perhaps infidels like us could give a lead by mass conversions followed by immediate declarations of apostasy, filmed of course. Probably though Muslims might say that mock conversions don’t count so there would be no apostasy. It would piss them off though wouldn’t it?
gravenimage says
Some Muslims might say this as Taqiyya, but the fact is that under Islam if you say the Shehada your thenceforth a Muslim, whether you meant it or not.
So yes—if you then left you would be considered an apostate.

“Islam will never control the world because, for the typical Muslim nation, it creates no progress”
The problem is that Islam and Muslims are allowed to infiltrate and bypass the borders of civilized countries. Our governments not only allow, but encourage, the immigration of Muslims. Muslims inside the borders are far more of a threat than Muslims outside.
A non-Muslim country fighting a Muslim country will almost always win. India has mopped the floor with Pakistan in every conventional engagement: the only thing maintaining Pakistan as a threat to India is the Pakistani nuclear stockpile. It took the Spanish a century and a half to get rid of all the Muslims, and they’re now not only readmitting them, but catering to their sensitivities.
The technological superiority of the West in no way guarantees victory over Islam. It will take a determination to win, and to carry out uncomfortable acts.

Rinzai, he may not have had a choice as to where to flee. He probably would have headed for Europe if he could have. Not that things are entirely safe there, either, with her mushrooming population—but much safer than most most of sub-Saharan Africa.

Wait the minute-the islam is a religion of peace according to our president. The Christian religion is bad and violent. Islam is a nice and peaceful religion says the White House man.
This person should be helped to exit the muslim country. He is a true genuine Christian who puts many to shame. The Americabns voted twice for this pro-muslim, anti-American and pro-Abortion president. What a disgrace and shame to the whole American nation.

Bukhari 9.84.57 says
==QUOTE==
Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to ‘Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn ‘Abbas who said, “If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah’s Apostle forbade it, saying, ‘Do not punish anybody with Allah’s punishment (fire).’ I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah’s Apostle, ‘Whoever changed [past tense] his Islamic religion, then kill him.'”
==UNQUOTE==
This is peculiar. The discussion starts out being about the proper way to kill atheists, whether by fire or some other method, but this question never gets answered. Instead, “Allah’s Apostle” is quoted about a different topic: what to do with a non-atheist, a man who decides to alter his “Islamic religion” — he should be killed, but the method of execution is left unspecified. This quick change of topics is characteristic of discussions among sufferers of Attention Deficit Disorder.
This execution imperative applies only to someone who has an Islamic religion and alters it, such as a Shiite who becomes a Sunni, or vice versa. It also applies to a Muslim who alters his Islamic religion by deciding to disobey Quran 47:4 and to refrain from chopping off the head of any non-Muslim he meets. But this “kill him” rule does not apply to someone who has a non-Islamic religion and changes it, such as a Buddhist who converts to Scientology.

Fouad al-Bayly, the Imam of the Islamic Center of Johnstown, Pennsylvania told local newspapers:
“If you come into the faith, you must abide by the laws, and when you decide to defame it deliberately, the sentence is death.”
O al-Bayly,
Is your moon god – allah so weak he can’t judge and punish those who leave the faith on his own?
Paul says
‘Almighty’ (monolingual) Allah (Muhammad’s alter-ego) who can only
be prayed to in one direction cannot do that as he’s dependant upon
savages doing his dirty work for him. I’d have thought that such a ‘pure’
and ‘perfect’ religion with absolutely NO contradictions – apart from the
above, and many others – would not only have the masses flocking to it,
but wouldn’t even have to threaten Apostates. After all, the idea that
anyone in their right mind would want to leave after having been
introduced to something that’s apparently so wonderful, perfect and
is the ‘pure’ word of the ONLY (pagan) god is it itself deeply
blasphemous!

There is a mass exodus from Islam going on, but no MSM will ever tell you about it.

I have looked at the link, it’s very positive 🙂
Muslims are the first victims of Islam and I really hope that many
more will leave it and come into into the light.
Lioness says
Don’t hold your breath. Even though the majority of the victims of Islam are Muslims, very few will actually leave the religion. Deep down they agree with the basic ideology of Islam and Sharia, and given the opportunity, they would abuse others just the same as they are being abused themselves. There is also a very legitimate fear of being beheaded by your neighbour if you convert.
Paul says
I agree with a lot of what you say, but if you look at a
country like Iran that was introduced to pure
Muhammadan rule in 1979 and after people there
were forced to appreciate the full ‘beauty’ of its precepts,
there’s been a mass exodus from the Muhammadan faith.
There’s also been a massive revival in Christianity there with
at least a million converts estimated in Teheran alone – that’s
quite something when compared to a mere 500 or so in 1979.
That’s why the insane ‘religious’ leaders have clamped down
on internet access there. Again, we should take heart from the
fact a majority Muslim country like Egypt kicked out the fascist
Muslim Brotherhood.
Yes, Muhammadanism will continue to attract scum and will
provide gratification to the bad people already in its grip and
we’ll undoubtedly see a lot more unpleasantness, but it’s got
absolutely nothing whatsoever of any value to offer the rest
of humanity in today’s increasingly smaller world. I am hopeful
for the long-term.

Muslims in Sub-Saharan Africa hunting down convert from Islam who fled Egypt

Not exactly indicative of a “tiny minority of extremists”, is it?

Let *that* sink in—Egyptian *diplomatic staff* are accompanying this murderous family and their thug allies to threaten and abuse this poor man.

I know the country Ahmed Ali has fled to is not named. Is this a Muslim country, that would extradite this poor man on “blasphemy” charges? Or is it just a corrupt and chaotic place where this thuggery is ignored or winked at? In any case, Ahmed Ali clearly is not safe there.
In a sane world, Western nations would be lining up to offer him sanctuary.
