Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Obama “blowing up our alliances to secure a deal that paves Iran’s way to a bomb”

Mar 27, 2015 9:23 am By Robert Spencer

Iran Nuclear TalksWhy is Obama so avid to have this deal that he will make disastrous concessions to the Iranians and throw U.S. allies under the bus to get it? Does he really, really want Iran to have nuclear weapons? Is this really all about enabling Iran to destroy Israel?

“Obama Admin Threatens U.S. Allies for Disagreeing with Iran Nuke Deal,” by Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon, March 27, 2015:

LAUSANNE, Switzerland—Efforts by the Obama administration to stem criticism of its diplomacy with Iran have included threats to nations involved in the talks, including U.S. allies, according to Western sources familiar with White House efforts to quell fears it will permit Iran to retain aspects of its nuclear weapons program.

A series of conversations between top American and French officials, including between President Obama and French President Francois Hollande, have seen Americans engage in behavior described as bullying by sources who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon.

The disagreement over France’s cautious position in regard to Iran threatens to erode U.S. relations with Paris, sources said.

Tension between Washington and Paris comes amid frustration by other U.S. allies, such as Saudi Arabia and Israel. The White House responded to this criticism by engaging in public campaigns analysts worry will endanger American interests.

Western policy analysts who spoke to the Free Beacon, including some with close ties to the French political establishment, were dismayed over what they saw as the White House’s willingness to sacrifice its relationship with Paris as talks with Iran reach their final stages.

A recent phone call between Obama and Hollande was reported as tense as the leaders disagreed over the White House’s accommodation of Iranian red lines.

Amid these tensions, U.S. Ambassador to France Jane Hartley met with her French counterpart, Gerard Araud, Monday to discuss a range of issues.

Benjamin Haddad, who has advised senior French political figures on foreign policy issues, said leaders in Paris have not been shy about highlighting disagreements they have with the White House.

“Fance [sic], like other European countries, has negotiated for more than 10 years and endured most of the sanctions’ burden,” said Haddad, a research fellow at the Hudson Institute.

“The French want a deal, but they see no rush and repeat that Iranians need a deal more than we do, and that we shouldn’t fix artificial deadlines that put more pressure on us than Iran.”

One source in Europe close to the ongoing diplomacy said the United States has begun to adopt a “harsh” stance toward its allies in Paris.

“There have been very harsh expressions of displeasure by the Americans toward French officials for raising substantive concerns about key elements of what the White House and State Department negotiators are willing to concede to Iran,” said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “That is because the clarifications expose just how weak the Americans’ deal is shaping up to be.”

“The meeting between the French ambassador in Washington and the president’s envoy to Paris—not a diplomat but a big fundraiser for his campaigns—comes amid these very harsh words that were spoken privately about the ambassador’s recent comments on the seeming American desperation for a deal, and the tough words that President Obama had for President Hollande in their phone call.”

Strategic differences remain between the United States and its allies over how a final deal should look, the source said. The French remain opposed to a recent range of concessions made by the Obama administration.

“We may agree that denying Iran a nuclear weapon ability is the goal, but apparently the view of what one can leave Iran and assure that is very different,” the source said.

“Clearly these are the differences that must be discussed. I don’t see France suddenly deciding that America is right and French objections to weakness are wrong, nor that silence is preferable to transparency.”

Haddad said the French are hesitant to rush into an agreement.

“The French want a robust deal with clear guarantees on issues like [research and development] and inspections to ensure that Iranians won’t be able to reduce breakout time during the duration of the agreement (also an issue of discussion), or just after thanks to research conducted during the period,” he said. “That is also why they disagreed on lifting sanctions.”

He also said the French “don’t trust Iran and believe an ambiguous deal would lead to regional proliferation.”

Another Western source familiar with the talks said the White House is sacrificing longstanding alliances to cement a contentious deal with Iran before Obama’s term in office ends.

“The President could be hammering out the best deal in the history of diplomacy, and it still wouldn’t be worth sacrificing our alliances with France, Israel, and Saudi Arabia—key partners in Europe, the eastern Mediterranean, and the Gulf,” the source said. “But he’s blowing up our alliances to secure a deal that paves Iran’s way to a bomb.”…

Dr. Tony Costa, a professor of world religions, talks about Dabiq, Syria, an otherwise unremarkable town that plays a key role in ISIS, and Muslim, end-times beliefs.

Dabiq is considered the final battleground of Islam vs. the infidels, similar to “Armageddon” in Christianity.

That’s why, for example, the name of the ISIS propaganda magazine is Dabiq.

This fascinating interview that gives you a concise, eye-opening primer on Muslim end-times beliefs, and why they matter to us today whether we like it or not.

Thanks for that, zulu. I had tried to look up the meaning of “Dabiq” as soon as I heard the magazine’s name, but had no luck—all references I could find were to the magazine itself. Important information.

And yet another indication that the “Caliphate” is not just a “state’ as we mean it in the modern sense—not even a very oppressive one.

Just like the “Twelver” Shia in charge in Iran, this is about “end times” for these thugs, which makes them even more dangerous than they would be otherwise.

Obama is a seriously disturbed man who may be a malignant narcissist. He only cares about getting this foreign policy victory for his legacy despite knowing that any deal with Iran will not be honored by these Islamic fanatics.

D’Sousa has made a good analysis but we can also add that he absorbed the Chicago mob mentality and hung out with 20th century communist revolutionist types. He came to be comfortable with Christian Liberation Theology, Islam, Marxism, Revolution, and anti-white sentiment. He is also an egomaniac and narcissist. Nice.

Please you guys are giving too much credit to Obama. Obama is a stupid, brainwashed communist and his arrogance does not allow him to see us as freedom loving people. He sees us as the problem of the world. Shame on those who elected him twice and still protecting him. They are the enemy.

You’re lucky, voytech. I live here in the bluest-of-blue states, in Oakland not far from Berkeley.

People not only still have 2012 Obama bumper stickers on their cars, they often still have 2008 stickers, as well.

The thing is that *very few* of these idiots have any awareness of the Jihad threat at all—they are still just caught up with the whole fake “hopey-changy” rhetoric.

Of course, this is somewhat better than the alternative—I would rather have stupid neighbors than evil ones.

There is also at at least a slight hope that ignorant people will one day wake up—if this enabling of our enemies were more deliberate, it would be much more sinister.

Of course, ignorance and stupidity—especially of the willful variety—can be enormously dangerous and destructive all by themselves.

THANKS,I never thought to look at it as having stupid neighbors is better than evil ones. I live north of you and I see the same things you do. I also see a lot of those “peace” stickers written with different religious symbols. I don’t however think that MANY of these people will wake up. I have had discussions with leftists who say “Obama is the greatest president ever” and I pointed out his murderous, treasonous and downright dirty tactics. Well they ganged up on me like one man against 19 in a fight. It was not nice. Only one person said later that she wanted to know where I got my information. Later she called and said I was right.
5% I suppose is better than none. Hard to keep up optimism at that rate.
This is why I like sites like these, it gives me hope in these dark and evil times.
The bad part I dread is that the other 95% could turn and become the enemy we all loath.
          WE SHALL SEE.

And yes—I have stupid relatives as well as stupid neighbors.

The good news is that this is not true of everyone—I do have a handful of Anti-Jihadists in the area—all too few, though.

We are living in a couple of could-be Tom Clancy novels. Who could believe 9-11 was possible? Now, who could believe a person could become President of the US who was groomed to use his power to undermine the country and make it possible for its arch enemy to possess nuclear bombs? Everything in Obama’s childhood and Chicago upbringing makes it credible that he would reject US power and influence. Elected by leftists, he has been systematically able to destroy US credibility from its allies and at the same time strengthen its enemies.
Congress, the only group able to remove this person from office, sits silently by.
Just as New Yorkers had to experience the aftermath of 9-11, will we all have to experience the aftermath of a nuclear attack before accepting the possible consequences of this man’s actions?

Obama “blowing up our alliances to secure a deal that paves Iran’s way to a bomb”
    ………………………………

This is especially insane now, when Iran’s having “peaceful” intentions is even less plausible than previously. For one thing, Iran is backing the Shi’ite Houthi rebels who have just taken over Yemen. We just pulled out the las of our special forces from there yesterday.

Right now, we seem to be backing both sides—at various times—of a bloody Sunni/Shi’ite sectarian war where there are no good guys, or even “less bad” guys. All of this is suicidal madness.

And that Obama has damaged our relationship with strong allies such as Israel, Britain, and France while playing footsie with the most vicious elements on the planet who are screaming “Death to America!”, is most destructive of all.

Increasingly, gravenimage, I find it at times harder not to conclude that Obama is the real Manchurian candidate. And I am not a conspiracy-oriented person at all. Quite the contrary in fact. I would contend that the VAST majority of conspiracy theories are completely bogus, including all those which see some kind of conspircay behind the killing of JFK, RFK and MLK. To be sure, I still don’t truly see conspiracy in Obama being President, but this wretched man being President can only be explained by one of two possibilities———-conspiracy or stupidity. I certainly still go with the stupidity option. All I’m saying is that there’s more “meat” here for conspiracy thinking than there is for almost all other conspiracy theories.

The part that I find alarming is the number of people who knowingly agree with the obola agenda. If it were just deception, then the truth would be enough and for the percentage of people who are deceived, as long as the enemedia deprives them of good information, they will remain deceived until they actually feel the effects personally. Tolerance has never been used as weapon to paralyze a population in the face of invasion like it being used now. Xenophobe is a concoction of the so called intellectual left to beguile as many as possible to accept their destruction. Bill Clinton is on video somewhere ( I can’t find it yet) saying that America doesn’t need to be a superpower anymore. The indoctrination of this mindset has been going on for some time. If that constitutes a conspiracy then so be it. Personally I limit my association to a minimum with people who think I’m stupid for not compromising principals to accommodate (the new normal). “You have to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything.”

Wellington, I think a lot of “politically correct” Americans basically wanted to show how incredibly “broad-minded” they were in electing—and re-electing—this dangerous man.

I know many people who voted for him who do not so much think he is the man for the job as they are patting themselves on the back for being so “enlightened” as to having voted for Obama.

I don’t think France is looking at this from an Israel-Iran perspective. They are looking at it from a Gulf States/Sunni Arab v. Iran perspective. Remember that France was a big back of Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq war.

Let’s put it this way. Kerry is a complete idiot except when it comes to finding wives with large bank accounts. There has been a Sunni/Shiite fight for close to 1500 years. France is simply backing the Sunni states with whom they have much larger economic ties. At this time, most of the Sunni states view Iran as their greatest threat. They do not want Iran to get the bomb and they want sanctions against Iran.
