Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Pope Francis: Christians “are persecuted, and the world tries to hide it”

Mar 15, 2015 5:53 pm By Robert Spencer

FrancisdovesFrancisdovecrowMeanwhile, the Pope himself has tried to hide the ideology of the persecutors, when he said: “authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Koran are opposed to every form of violence.” Even here, he notes that “Christians are persecuted.” He does not name the perpetrator. It is the great global force that no one dares name.

“Pope: Christians are persecuted and the world tries to hide it,” Asia News, March 15, 2015 (thanks to C. Cantoni):

Vatican City (AsiaNews) – Christians “are persecuted, and the world tries to hide it. I ask the Lord, implore the Lord for peace in Pakistan,” said Pope Francis after the midday Angelus. He had mentioned as much when he introduced the midday Angelus in which he stressed that God “loves us, really love us, and loves us very much! This is simplest expression that sums up the whole Gospel, faith, and theology. God loves us freely and boundlessly. This is how God loves us.”…

Right after the Angelus, the pope gave an unscripted address to the crowd. “Dear brothers and sisters,” he said, “it is with sorrow, a lot of sorrow that I learnt of today’s terrorist attacks against two churches in the city of Lahore, in Pakistan, which have resulted in many dead and wounded.

“They are Christian churches. Christians are persecuted. Our brothers shed blood only because they are Christian. As I assure you of my prayers for the victims and their families, I call upon the Lord, I beseech the Lord, source of all good, [to deliver] the gift of peace, and harmony to that country. May the persecution against Christians, which the world is trying to hide, come to an end, and may there be peace.”…

Sitting on the great wealth of the Vatican, he never, or did little to help the prosecuted Christians. He is hopeless as the head of the Christian community. Italy is taking in thousands of Muslim refugees from North Africa. Why can’t the pope ask the Italy government to take in the prosecuted Christians from the Arab land instead.

With all due respect for Pope Francis, he is a cultural Marxist as are most Christians in Argentina. Cultural Marxists must ignore large portions of the Bible.

Saying what sounds good in one country sounds bad in another. He should stick with the true meaning of the Gospels and call out evil when he sees it. The fact is that Islam is evil and there is no way around this fact, no matter how hard he tries.

I don’t get this man, he is so confusing.
at his first Easter service after being installed or whatever it is called, as Pope he drastically changes centuries-old traditions of washing twelve priest’s feet as Jesus did to his disciples, and instead washed twelve young offender’s feet, mostly muslim ( because everywhere they are a majority in prison but not PC to state that fact !) and then yuck… KISSES them, when Jesus never kissed anyones feet ! HIs feet were kissed! ( groveling to muslim criminals ? They looked down at him in disgust I remember !)
Then holds first inter faith service in Vatican.
Then after Charlie Hebdo murders says religions should not be insulted. And then punches in the air..and says “if anyone insults my mother they can expect a punch” ! Making himself out to be solidair with Muslims, ?? Is he scared maybe ? and now this. Has he some disorder ? Or is it planned ?!
Mind you, he did not mention ” Muslims”, or “Islamic persecution ” which he should have done

He had to say something. He can’t stay silent any longer or he will be on the nose with most Christians but at the same time he has to water down the story and hide the real problem.
He is sitting on the fence and so protecting Islam. Looks like evil has infiltrated the Vatican too.

        Pretty much anti-Catholic BS.

When Ratzinger cited Alexis (“what good has ever come from Islam…”), it already caused outrage. It’s easy to speak up for oneself, if you are not responsible for the deaths that will ensue and I have no doubts that a open anti-islamic stance by the Pope will cause that.

It’s easy to speak up for the leaders of the gazillions evangelical-protestants communities with no leaders of world wide relevance and as such not being clear targets of hostility.

In the case of the current Pope I’m assuming blissful ignorance of an Argentine. Nobody is really invested in the sick cult of islam if it wouldn’t kill, maim, slash for attention. I only started to think about this ideological pest starting 1997, when 30+ Swiss nationals where killed in the most gruesome way in Luxor.

    • Burt says

      Mar 15, 2015 at 7:12 pm

      “Our beloved Pope Francis”
Karine I’m Catholic, that’s why I do not share your sentiments regarding Borgoglio. He is not the only pope in my lifetime who I have doubts regarding their orthodoxy, but he is singularly the only pope I consider so far from the faith as to be the devil’s latest, most effective weapon against the Church established by Our Lord Jesus Christ. He is so vehemently against traditional Catholic piety that goes back to Apostolic times, so determined to break with pre-Vatican II expressions, which after all were the ages of saints when the reign of Christ (Christendom) civilized the world. He makes it well known with sneers and insults how he despises all that.

The good news is that he has actually spoken to ask the West why are they ignoring the plight of Christian persecution, trying to hide it.

Pope Francis may well be destroying the faith attacking the spirit of the Church far more effectively than ISIS themselves killing adherents of the faith.

Satan is having a field day. He will not win. Keep the faith Karina.
We live in dramatic times, dark times, we are in the later chapters of the story of Man perhaps. Love God. Love Our Lord His only begotten son who suffered and died for all. Pray to the saints who lived amazing lives following Him. Pray for Francis if you are good enough (I’m not) pray for the conversion of Muslims.
But don’t be naive. The reason the pope does not speak forcefully against those doing the persecution is because he is himself controlled by the same demon who wants to carpet the floor of hell with souls who seek to decrease Christ’s influence and power on Earth.

You’re right but how many practicing Catholics are not going to see this.

The Pope is a creature of liberalism and hence cannot bring himself to name the enemy whose name that one shall not speak.

Though I am not a Christian, I am aghast at his policies which I see as a direct assault against Christianity but Western society(which owes much to Christianity). The Church IMO would have been better off with a more traditional pope like Benedict instead of this populist/rockstar Pope who is too well liked by the secular elites(who are traditionally anti-Christian). The fact he’s liked by this segment worries me.

I guess it is because he was involved in interreligious dialogue in Buenos Aires and knew some NICE imans who gave the impression that they wouldn’t hurt a fly. However, now that he is Pope he ought to be more careful of what he says and does. There is no shortage of Catholics who are experts in Islam even in Rome, One of his defect is apparent spontaneity and not following protocol, which may seem nice, but can cause poblems. He seem to sidestep his staff and make decisions without consulting them..
Like everyone he has his defects and qualities and being such a public figure the defects are rather obvious. In the old days Popes didn’t give interviews, and in my opinion he would do a favour to the res to us Catholics if he refrained from giving them as some of what he says causes confusion.
If you are not very happy with him, he himself stated the other day that his Pontificate won’t last long, maybe four or 5 years. He is now 79 and he has only one lung. I would imagine that the next time up the Cardinals will try to find a different kind of Pope who will follow the protocols and won’t be Latinamerican, or so spontaneous as he is.

Because he himself is a political communist. Benedict was somewhat better, but he committed the cardinal sin of daring to quote some Byzantine emperor about Islam.

Benedict had to apologise from his ” handlers” he did so reluctantly.
      The fuss : ( from vicmord.com)
” A firestorm of Islamic protests was aroused by Pope Benedict XVI as a result of his visit to his native Germany and his address to the science faculty of the University of Regensburg on September 12th, 2006.
His address dealt mainly with the relationship between faith and reason, but that theme was eclipsed by the Pope’s comments on Islam. These comments were made with respect to a statement made by “the erudite Byzantine emperor Manuel II Palaiologos” just after the year 1391 as part of debate with a Persian scholar (Dialogue 7 of Twenty-six Dialogues with a Persian), in which the Emperor stated: “Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.” He then continues, saying, “God is not pleased by blood – and not acting reasonably (syn logo) is contrary to God’s nature.”

      Emperor went on :
The discourse by Palaiologos continues: “Faith is born of the soul, not the body. Whoever would lead someone to faith needs the ability to speak well and to reason properly, without violence and threats… To convince a reasonable soul, one does not need a strong arm or weapons of any kind, or any other means of threatening a person with death…”

Wish we had ONE leader like this Byzantine emperor today, and even a Pope like Benedict, they rushed to ” retire ” !

The Pope himself said: “Authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Koran are opposed to every form of violence.”

Yeah right, Pope Francis. And I suppose you also believe the Devil to be the Son of God and that chocolate ice cream tastes the same a donkey dung.

His statement makes about as much sense as Islam being “the region of peace.” The perfect religion of peace no less.

Anyone who believes Islam to be a good and true thing should take the next logical step and convert to it. But don’t try to leave Islam once you’ve joined it. Or your friends and family and the entire Mohammedan Ummah will come looking to crucify you in the street.

    >>>>>

THE REALITY OF FRIENDSHIP IN ISLAM

Friendship is only possible in Islam if both parties remain in the religion forever. For Muhammad has ordered that Muslims who leave Islam are to be killed.

If there are two Muslims sitting in front of the computer reading this article, they must admit that they should kill their friend if he or she tried to leave Islam.

Muhammad’s Islam even demands that a Muslim disown his or her family members if they attempt to leave the religion. It says so right in the Qur’an!

    009.023
O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers.

Whether a person is born into Islam or becomes a Muslim through conversion, they must remain in the religion for the rest of their lives or risk being killed by their former Muslim “brothers and sisters”. Muhammad said that those who leave Islam should be killed:

Hadith, Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 84, Number 57:

    Narrated “Ikrima:
Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to “Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn “Abbas who said, “If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah’s Apostle forbade it, saying, “Do not punish anybody with Allah’s punishment (fire).’ I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah’s Apostle, “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.’”

Due to Islam’s death penalty for apostasy, there can obviously be no true friendship between Muslims. Friendship in Islam is contingent upon continued adherence to the religion. In other words, if a Muslim simply chooses to leave Islam for his own reasons, his Muslim friends must consider him a traitor to the Muslim Ummah, an enemy of God, a worthless failure and an Apostate that should be killed.

Let us now further consider the reality of friendship amongst Muslims themselves. This topic concerned me greatly when I was a Muslim. For inside I knew the answers to the questions that I was asking myself…. and the truth was deeply disturbing. Some of the questions that I asked myself were as follows:

If I were to leave Islam would my Muslim friends HAVE TO DUMP OR KILL ME?

Does this mean that if one of my Muslim friends chose to leave Islam that I would HAVE TO DUMP OR KILL THEM?

The answers to these fundamental questions helped open the door for me and leave Muhammad’s Islam. These and other “Islamic realities” led me to a critical study of Islam that helped free me from its perverse falsehoods.

If this were not so, they would not rationalize the racist murders of Black Men Women and Children, nor prevent an establishment of health care for the poor. They would cease to interfere in the medical/sexual decisions of Women that are complete strangers to them and they would cease persecuting the rights of LGBT people with a zeal that was only matched 70 years ago when their ancestors made the same scurilliousr complaints aagainst Blacks and interracial marriage or Blacks attempting to participate in the economic goods and services exchange!

Every protester, every bomber of what these “Christians” are abortion death mills, the murderers of Dr .Tiller alone prove that your kind are naught but Domestic Terrorists. Every attempt to outright ban LGBT people of their rights, including the right to form consensual relationships with an adult their choosing (but they’re not the opposite sex as YOU deem fit) and spouting rhetoric that drives these people to suicide are the proofs that you are Christian Talibanists waging an intifada against those that don’t agree with you.

Keep on misrepresenting me as a “Muslim and a troll;” it proves the point that when you don’t have enough intelligence to win intellectual discourses with those who you don’t ideology wise agree with, you can always resort to the least intelligent and most child like reaction by resorting to call your opponent names. Now.don’t you feel better? At least you haven’t resorted to spewing out ina garrilous fashion endless phrases of obscenities like your cohorts have done against me.

Yah! Mass murder victims by Muslims are treated the same as earthquake victims.

I remember a few years ago, NPR had an hour-long radio program on the World Trade Center attack. The NPR broadcasters are very good at putting a catch in their throat and projecting sympathy and sadness. So, they went through an hour of tear-laden tributes to the firemen, the police, the office workers caught on the burning floors…and they never mentioned “Islam” once. They could have had exactly the same broadcast if it had been a program on a giant earthquake.

It was truly one of the most disgusting radio news shows I have ever heard.

So, yes. The pope finally announces that he knows that Christians are killed. We don’t know why they’re killed, according to his announcements, but at least we have a strong suspicion it wasn’t done by an earthquake.

I’m afraid Pope Urbans legacy has been to leave a very big baseball bat for Islam to keep attacking Christians with. It’s not that I think he was wrong (he did have other motives other than the defence of Christianity). His objective was wrong – Return Jerusalem to Christianity. Let us not forget that the Byzantines were also Christian but they had the good sense to see that Jerusalem was a step too far (as did Richard I). If the objectives were to defend Christianity then his first objective should have been Spain followed by a steady rolling back of Islam without jeopardising supply lines. Unfortunately his political objectives tainted the Crusades just as much as the sheer barbarity of those involved in the fighting.

To fear God and maintain His Church
To serve the liege lord in valour and faith
To protect the weak and defenceless
To give succour to widows and orphans
To refrain from the wanton giving of offence
To live by honour and for glory
          To despise pecuniary reward
To fight for the welfare of all
To obey those placed in authority
To guard the honour of fellow knights
To eschew unfairness, meanness and deceit
          To keep faith
At all times to speak the truth
To persevere to the end in any enterprise begun
To respect the honour of women
Never to refuse a challenge from an equal
Never to turn the back upon a foe.

Pope Francis now appears open to the message of counterjihad: That Islam is constitutionally intolerant and violent.

Perhaps, those close to Pope Francis can introduce him to theologians or pastors such as Fr Henri Boulad of Alexandria or Fr Zakaria Boutros who have a profound understanding of the hadiths, Sharia and Islamic history and great ability for communicating the confusing facts of Islam coherently and correctly.

Mortimer – Where do you get the idea that Pope Francis now appears open to the message of counterjihad? As others have noted, he has managed to identify the where but cannot bring himself to name the who or the why.

His own secretary Father Yoannis Lahzi Gaido, a Coptic Catholic Christian wrote of the:

“…difficulties under which Christians must live in places with a Muslim majority. These difficulties are not caused by a few Islamists, but by a culture of death and violence that is based on very clear verses [of their scripture] that they quote, calling for violence and jihad, saying they should murder all who are different and killing [those who express] freedom of conscience. Just to think differently is enough to be sentenced to death.”

If that didn’t get through to him I don’t know what will. As far as I know he is still imploring Europe to pluck our enemy out of the sea and embrace them.

John C says: The Chair of Peter is the successor to the Chair of Moses.

Jesus says: “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses; therefore all that they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds; for they say things and do not do them.” Matthew 23:2-3

Comment: Apart from Jesus’ statement in Matthew 23:2, there is no record of any tradition or history of Moses’ chair as traditionalists claim. What we do have is a direct reference in Exodus 18:13-27. There is no mention of Peter as ‘successor’ to the chair of Moses. Jesus was addressing the religious elite, not Peter.

John C: The Holy Spirit, third person of the Trinity, guides the Pope in union with all the bishops of the Catholic Church. “

Jesus: Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” 4 “How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!” 5 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’
      John 3:3-7.

Comment: Are you suggesting that all popes have been guided by the Holy Spirit – even the wicked ones who have murdered, cheated, lied and plotted to get the Papal seat? The Holy Spirit guides only those who have been regenerated by His infilling. He cannot be assumed to ‘guide’ anyone, whether Pope, Bishops or the ordinary person, *unless* they have been born again of the Spirit.

John C: Therefore in matters of doctrine and morality it is safe to assume the authority invested in the Office is infallible.

Jesus says: …27Then Peter said to Him, “Behold, we have left everything and followed You; what then will there be for us?” 28And Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
      Matthew 19: 27-28

Comment: Jesus was addressing Peter but he was, of course, speaking on behalf of the disciples who had left everything to follow Him.. Jesus was speaking of their future authority when they will judge the twelve tribes of Israel. To believe in the infallibility of any human being is sheer presumption. Only GOD is infallible.

John C: “You are Peter and upon this rock, I will build my church – and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.”

Peter: “So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. 2Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation 3if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. 4 As you come to him, *a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious*, 5 you yourselves, like living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.” 7 So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe,“The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone, 18 and “A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.” They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do. 1 Peter 2:1-8, Psalm 118:22, Isaiah 8:14

Comment: Was Peter here referring to himself or to Jesus Christ? There is no mention of Peter in either OT reference. Or perhaps you believe that Jesus flew in the face of prophecy and gave up His authority to Peter to found a church 280 years later? This, of course, is the gross error which even the early Church Fathers regarded as false.

I quote: ‘… the great Fathers of the church saw no connection between it [Matt.16:18] and the pope. Not one of them applies ‘Thou art Peter’ to anyone but Peter. One after another they analyse it: Cyprian, Origen, Cyril, Hilary, Jerome, Ambrose, Augustine. Not one of them calls the Bishop of Rome a Rock or applies to him specifically the promise of the Keys. This is staggering to Catholics…The surprises do not stop there. For the Fathers, it is Peter’s faith – or the Lord in whom Peter has faith – which is called the Rock, not Peter.”

      John C: Attention all anti-Catholics, cafeteria-Catholics and Evangelical Pope-bashers

Reply: Your condescension towards other believers is unwarranted. It is not ‘bashing’ to quote Scripture or to state facts.

        Postscript:

John C: …the Holy Spirit will never abandon it’s guidance of the universal Christian Church, nor its adherents.

The Holy Spirit is not an ‘it’, but the Third Person of the Trinity. As already pointed out, He does not guide institutional churches but individual believers. A church is described as a body of followers of Jesus Christ – not an organisation but a living organism – a healthy body, with Jesus Christ as its Head. A true believer can never have a relationship with an ‘it’.

I have a confession to make to all on this blog.

I am Brother Matthew of the Order of The Lord’s Shield. We are a military order that specialize in protective services. All legal of course.

My position in the order is that of Devil’s Advocate. My job is to use heresay and insinuation to get new members to question their faith. Then we use scripture to help them build their spiritual armor. I have been using this sight for testing new techniques. After the exchanges over the weekend, where I was portaying pagans, I asked the Abbot to allow me to expose myself to a certain limit. He consented with some restrictions imposed. After all, we are a reclusive order (not a secret society). You still won’t find us on the internet. This is all I can say.

I will get to the point. I have forgiveness to ask of all of you, if I had posted comments that are offensive or incited anger. I was chosen for devil’s advocate for my effectiveness and rock solid faith. We are concluding our tests at my request. It pained me to write those things and again, I beg your forgiveness.

As a devil’s advocate I use my fork to poke and prod at ones sense of pride, jealousy, greed, lust and fear. These are the satan’s tools with in us which he uses for his evil deeds. If we can concur these with reflection, guidance and above all, faith, satan will have no power over us.

The pope is just a man like the rest of us. He has a great deal of responsibility. But, the strength of the church is not on his shoulders alone. It is incumbent upon all of us to maintain our faith, no matter the denomination. Also, he is being protected by more than the Swiss Guard whether he knows it or not, or likes it or not.

One of my brothers needs counseling, so I will be away for a while.

May the Lord bless and keep all of you, especially you Mr. Spencer.
