Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

UK: Muslim “human rights” activist refuses to condemn death by stoning

Mar 6, 2015 1:42 pm By Robert Spencer

We are constantly told that there are multiple versions of Sharia, making for such a dizzying multiplicity that the thing itself cannot be characterized as one thing or another. Yet everywhere it is implemented, it looks essentially the same. And whenever we see challenges like this one to Asim Qureshi, note that he doesn’t say, “Oh, I don’t subscribe to that version of Sharia, I’m believe in the anti-stoning version of Sharia.” He can’t say that, because there is no such version.

“‘Sharia isn’t practiced correctly’: CAGE director refuses to condemn death by stoning,” RT, March 6, 2015:

The director of human rights charity CAGE repeatedly refused to condemn the stoning to death of women for adulterous behavior during a television interview.

Asim Qureshi appeared on the BBC’s This Week program, where he was asked a series of questions about treatment of women advocated by a Muslim scholar, including female genital mutilation (FGM) and stoning for adultery.

The show’s presenter Andrew Neil asked Qureshi to condemn the series of opinions, currently prevalent in the so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) and other terror organizations under their interpretation of Sharia law.

Qureshi avoided committing himself, arguing: “I’m not a theologian,” adding “I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.”

When accused of speaking in favor of jihad and Sharia law, Qureshi answered: “As far as I am concerned, Sharia law isn’t practiced correctly anywhere in the world.

“Jihad is part of the religion of Islam,” he said.

Neil further criticized Qureshi for avoiding the question by using “weasel words.”

The director went on to claim the security services were responsible for the radicalization of young Muslims by mistreating them.

Qureshi was also asked by Alan Johnson, the former Labour home secretary, whether he truly believed that Mohammed Emwazi – the man recently revealed to be IS extremist Jihadi John – was genuinely on safari in Tanzania when he was picked up by British security services.

He said he had no evidence to suggest he wasn’t, adding: “They should not have stopped them.”

Johnson appeared shocked by the answer, saying: “This is what we are up against in terms of the ‘moderate front.’”

Former Defence Secretary Michael Portillo told Qureshi: “I wonder what the hell the BBC is doing giving you all this airtime.”

Qureshi recently came under fire from London Mayor Boris Johnson after the charity director gave a press conference accusing MI5 of radicalizing Mohammed Emwazi.

Johnson said Qureshi should stop “scatting the blame around,” and sticking up for the rights of IS executioners.Asim Qureshi

During a phone-in on LBC radio last week, the Mayor of London said Qureshi should “stop crying Islamophobia” and condemn the “sick atrocities” committed by Emwazi.

“I really, really think the focus of your indignation and your outrage should be on people who go out to join groups that throw gays off cliffs, that behead people who don’t subscribe to their version of Islam, that glorify in the execution of innocent journalists and aid workers,” Johnson said….

In reference to beheadings by Jihadi John: “I’m unequivocally saying right now that we have to stop those types of executions because, that, it’s exactly that type of action that we are condemning in Guantanamo Bay and elsewhere.” — Asim Qureshi

Wow. Did anyone else notice this? Qureshi implied that the U.S. military in Guantanamo Bay has been beheading people!

Asim Qureshi, you are a liar.

He’s commanded by his cult to lie to the rest of us! He hasn’t copped on yet that he’s been rumbled by the more intelligent among us (ie NOT politicians or other useful idiots for Islam).

He’s a disgrace and it’s equally disgraceful that he seems to be the “go to” person for MSM in the UK – but on second thoughts, it probably isn’t

Well, a sound example that clearly there is no such thing as a “moderate muslim.” There is only window-dressing for Islam.

This Qureshi character is getting quite a bit of publicity here in the UK at the moment as Director of this somewhat dubious CAGE setup. First of all he was telling all the world and his dog that the charming ‘Jihadi John’, aka Mohammed Emwazi, was a ‘beautiful, gentle character’ and a wonderful intellect, that he had been traumatised into terrorism by the nasty MI5, it was all everybody else’s fault, blah blah blah, etc. etc. ad nauseam, only to be effectively contradicted by the inconvenient revelation in the press that the wonderful, vulnerable, gentle genius Emwazi was actually a bit of a rubbish student and had a criminal record for violent robbery amongst a host of other typically muslim misdemeanours. Interviewers were clearly becoming more than a little p*ssed off with incessant garbage that Qureshi was spouting, and you’d think that the penny would drop and he’d have the sense to realise that he’s putting his foot in it left, right and centre and that he should keep his mouth shut (assuming it to be properly connected to his brain, which we presume exists) before he starts looking like a complete buffoon. But no, here we go again. Constant predictable lies and weasel words, incessant transparent prevarication, ducking the issue, casting the blame onto all and sundry in the most ridiculous way possible…. What the hell is it with these muslims? Are they so inanely self-possessed, self-important and arrogant, or just plain thick, that they really think they can palm people off any old incoherent drivel and get away with it? Don’t they notice that the whole civilised world is not falling for their garbage and getting totally hacked off with them?

Both human rights and charityy are total oxymorons when referring to the followers of Mahommed. Charity is a Christian concept and it is extended to any human being without considering religion, race or any other factor. This doesn’t exist in Islam as everything is dualistic. They collect money supposedly to help poor muslims, but it often goes to support jihadis and suicide bombers, hardly charity as it involves killing the innocent. The fact that there is no such thing as human rights in Islam neesds no commenting.

UK: Muslim “human rights” activist refuses to condemn death by stoning
    …………………..

Just more evidence—if any were needed—that Muslims use language differently than we do. The truth is that CAGE isn’t about human rights at all, but only about the “right” of Muslims to spread Islam through Da’wa and Jihad, with the aim of imposing Shari’ah law.

Here’s what the “About Us” page of CAGE has to say:

“CAGE is an independent advocacy organisation working to empower communities impacted by the War on Terror. The organisation highlights and campaigns against state policies, striving for a world free from oppression and injustice.”

    http://www.cageuk.org/about

Notice that CAGE has *nothing* to say about the problem of Jihad terror itself. They seem to believe that the world can be made free of oppression and injustice if only Infidels stop prosecuting a “war on terror”.

And why not? As pious Muslims use the terms, “oppression” is any attempt to prevent Muslims from waging violent Jihad and imposing Shari’ah, and “injustice” is the absence of brutal Shari’ah law.

    More:

Johnson appeared shocked by the answer, saying: “This is what we are up against in terms of the ‘moderate front.’”
    …………………..

Boris Johnson isn’t wrong. So often “moderate” Muslims turn out to be anything but, exactly as here.

    More:

During a phone-in on LBC radio last week, the Mayor of London said Qureshi should “stop crying Islamophobia” and condemn the “sick atrocities” committed by Emwazi.

“I really, really think the focus of your indignation and your outrage should be on people who go out to join groups that throw gays off cliffs, that behead people who don’t subscribe to their version of Islam, that glorify in the execution of innocent journalists and aid workers”
    …………………..

Well, I very much agree. But why should pious Muslims like Qureshi care what “filthy Infidels” think?

  12. PJG says

It has become so tediously predictable what these characters are going to say. They slip, slide, weave and dodge; they smile as they accuse, demand, threaten, warn, blame, pretend, justify, lie; they don’t know sharia, they do know sharia; jihad is this, that or the other.
I think I could have a go t it myself by now!

    This is good news.

Those of you who live in the UK or know the political and media history of it in recent years will see the importance here. Firstly the BBC, which for the last 15 years has list it’s once great reputation for impartiality as it became dominated by the mediaista left wing, wanky, progressive apologists and started to deny the truth. The BBC has dedicated air time to putting the boot into CAGE

Secondly, Neil is rare as a journalist who does go for the truth. Johnson is a political heavyweight and a man whose integrity is greatly respected. Portillo, although retired now is very influential across the traditional right and was one of thatchers ministers.

CAGE have miscalculated here their taqqiya has been blown apart on national TV.

This is a very important programme in the awakening of the UK which has been slumbering into Islamisation.

This will hopefully be on the BBC iplayer and needs the bejesus shared out of it.

What a hilarious interview. Qureshi has got to be a walking, talking public relations disaster for the Islamists. He was totally exposed as a sham “moderate muslim”. On the one hand quietly stirring up Jihad while talking soothing words to the fools who listen in the British government. What was encouraging is that even the BBC is daring to take on the Qureshi, there might still be hope for Britain yet.

This is the real issue isn’t it? Muslims do not accept responsibility for their actions. And the west does not make them accountable. Blaming the west for everything they do is part of the big fraud Islam is playing on the west. Professional victims setting everyone up around them, so they can cry foul and sue, Racist, bigot, discrimination, offended, gimme, gimme, gimme! They are bred to fight and taught to be the perpetrator whilst playing the victim. They offend me on a daily basis and behave in a manner no other immigrant would have considered. But then they weren’t trying to take over the world either!

His surname should have peoples alarm bells ringing straight away because it denotes a family history of hatred and Jihad. Quresh is the Jewish tribe that Mo killed off. His first act of ethnic cleansing. Trusting him is like trusting someone with the family name Auschwitz for human rights advice.

      ……………………………

Almost right, John. The tribe the “Prophet” liquidated was the Banu Qurayza. Here’s an account:

      http://wikiislam.net/wiki/The_Genocide_of_Banu_Qurayza

The Quresh was the tribe Mohammed himself belonged to. Many Muslims have adopted this as a surname to indicate that they are direct descendants of ol’ Mo. The ridiculous thing is that this use is most common in the Indian subcontinent—India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh—where most Muslims are actually Hindu if you go back a few generations. Most of them not only are not descended from Mo, they aren’t even descended from Arabs. This is almost certainly the case with Qureshi himself.

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qureshi

You are certainly right that the use of this name indicates an embracing of hatred and violent Jihad.

Thanks for explaining his name a for me Gravenimage. I have seen the name Qureshi frequently on the internet lately. I use to live in the middle east and incorrectly assumed it was a variant spelling of the same name. I have noticed many names and words seem to get spelled in various ways. The letter k and Q are two of the most common letters that are mixed up.
