“Zeid Raad al-Hussein, the first human rights chief from the Muslim and Arab worlds” praises the Islamic State’s “ethnic diversity.” Apparently he is a supporter of the concept of the global caliphate, the supranational unity of the Muslims. And so the first step has been taken to normalize the Islamic State and bring it in from the cold, as the UN becomes ever more of a tool of the international Islamic supremacist agenda.
“France Calls for Islamic State to Be Referred to ICC,” Associated Press, March 27, 2015:
UNITED NATIONS — The U.N. human rights chief told the Security Council on Friday that in a “most terrible irony,” the Islamic State group may be more accepting of the ethnic diversity of its members than some states are about ethnic differences among their own citizens.
Zeid Raad al-Hussein, the first human rights chief from the Muslim and Arab worlds, spoke as French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius chaired a special meeting on the abuses in the Middle East on ethnic and religious grounds. Both said the Security Council should refer the situations in Iraq and Syria to the International Criminal Court.
Fabius later told reporters that the Islamic State group itself, “these criminals,” should be referred to the ICC.
Zeid called the Islamic State group “an abomination” but also criticized states in the Middle East and elsewhere for overlooking abuses, attacking civil society and letting fanaticism flourish. “If we attend to minority rights only after the slaughter has begun, then we have already failed,” he said.
The rights chief, who is from Jordan, did not name any governments in his criticism. He said the Islamic State may be more accepting of ethnic diversity of its members so long as they adhere to the group’s world view, even while the “intricately interwoven social fabric in Syria and Iraq is giving way to the demented obliteration of any difference” from IS ideology.
The Islamic State group has seized large parts of Syria and Iraq over the past year, drawing an international military response that includes U.S. airstrikes against the extremists in both countries. The group has imposed a harsh version of Islamic law and beheaded and massacred their opponents.
“Ordinary citizens are wondering how so many countries gathered here together, who call themselves the ‘United Nations,’ have so far been unable to tackle terrorism and eradicate it,” Fabius said….
Maybe because they refuse to address honestly its motivations and root causes.

There is no racist close minded minority loathing society like that of the Arab & Muslim “failed” states , they don’t even welcome each others , the problem is the solution is there it’s kinda tough but effective
[ let them live the mid evil era the long for don’t buy their oil don’t provide them with technology & science cut them completely from the rest of the world ] except for those civilized individuals& those the ones we should be accepting in here

lf this guy is so proud of the ethnic diversity of ISIS/ISIL why isn’t he out there trying to get himself killed so he can go to paradise and really find diversity?????
Don McKellar says
Well, this is an ironic echoing of the left-facist canard of calling those who speak honestly about Islam and the Islamic Supremacist agenda as clearly laid out in their texts as “racists”. OF COURSE the Islamic State is open to any ethnic make-up — as long as they are Jew-hating, women-beating, savage killers of anybody who doesn’t believe in their religion and bow to them because of it. Obviously. They make no secret of this — it’s all right up front.
Zeid Raad al-Hussein is a deceptive piece of human garbage straight out of the Islamic school of taquiyya and kitman. That this Islamic Supremacist would be the “human rights” chief has sealed the coffin on the UN as a viable entity in world affairs. One of the first actions of any president to follow Obama must be to pull the United States out of the UN, citing the reason as an Islamic Supremacist takeover with full documentation (written up by Robert Spencer, no less), and a physical shutdown/boot of all officials if they do not clear out at a hard deadline.

I think you might want to read the article again. It says,
‘Zeid called the Islamic State group “an abomination”…’
and it went on to say,
‘He said the Islamic State may be more accepting of ethnic diversity of its members so long as they adhere to the group’s world view, even while the “intricately interwoven social fabric in Syria and Iraq is giving way to the demented obliteration of any difference” from IS ideology.’
What that means is ISIS does not care what ethnic background a person is from, as long as they convert to Islam and adhere to their world view of Islamic dominance of the entire planet, to the point they should be willing to kill their way to paradise, basically. He’s actually spot on with his comments.

He’s actually spot on with his comments.
……………………….
No he’s not. This is the UN *human rights chief*, and he is lauding the Islamic State for its “diversity*—moreover, he is comparing it favorably to some UN member states.
“Diversity” is not a neutral phrase these days—this is intended as an entirely positive statement.
Citizen Ghost says
Read it again, slower.
Nimrod says
I’m sure that he’s secretly being criticized for not praising IS for the reduction in carbon emissions that they’ve achieved by destroying evil carbon-emitting vehicles and industrial equipment.
Yes, let’s praise a gang of genicidal murderers, rapists, and thieves for their “ethnic diversity” while saying nothing about their absolute intolerance for religious or any other sort of diversity.
At this point the National Socialism of Nazi Germany has just been replaced with the International Socialism of the UN. Eventually we may find the effects of both to be rather similar.
Lioness says
Nimrod, this is the UN you are talking about. The most corrupt, Islamic-dominated, communist-fascist organization. I am only surprised that this clown who thinks that ISIS is diverse, did not blame Israel at that opportunity. After all that is their perpetual agenda.
Rita says
On their recently past record, the UN will soon appoint the “Islamic State” to the UN “Security Council”, and the “Protection of Women Council”. Soon thereafter they will join Obama on the Podium and receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
Vomit bucket please…
Rob says
Does this mean a captive can choose their beheader on ethnic lines?
Lewis Carroll couldn’t write this stuff!!

Nothing beats those ‘buzz words’ – diversity – it seems to draw attention to the ‘tolerance’ that we have failed to notice due to our ‘blinkered attitudes’ towards gleeful head loppers and mass murdering zealots.
Karen says
ISIS should be “referred to the ICC”. Snicker. Sounds like the 9th grade Hall Monitor is taking names.
Baucent says
“Islamic State accepting of diversity?” Oh yeah? tell that to the Yazidis and Assyrian Christians.
But this is the reason PM Tony Abbot of Australia said he was tired of criticism from the UN Human Rights body on Australia’s determination to stop the migrant boats.
The UN Human Rights council is made up of delegates from decidedly undemocratic countries who like to lecture, countries with better human rights protections than their own. In a word they are hypocrites.
Matthieu Baudin says
Bravo Baucent, well said! Good to encourage positive statements from politicians when they surface!
Ferdinand (@StFerdinandIII) says
Another reason to defund the UN, shut down almost of all its organs including the useless general assembly, and use the G15 forum as a replacement [a talking shop of pretend]. Islam is fascistic, intolerant, racist and supremacist. ISIS is more savage than Nazi Germany in some ways. The UN is in the vanguard of Christian extermination and Jew-hate. Nobody with a brain and an ounce of morality can possibly support it.
mortimer says
Prince Zeid Raad al-Hussein of Jordan is ‘UN HUMAN RIGHTS CHIEF’? WINDOW DRESSING!
Islam does not recognize the equality of kafirs and Muslims nor of women and men. How can their be human rights for the UNEQUAL groups?
Nevertheless, Prince Zaid has stated in his new capacity, “There is no justification ever, for the degrading, the debasing or the exploitation of other human beings – on whatever basis: nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or caste.”
He has ipso facto placed the UNCHR above Sharia law.
DP111 says
Islamic State group may be more accepting of the ethnic diversity of its members than some states are about ethnic differences among their own citizens.
Diversity Good. Islamic state good.
We bad.
Paul says
“UN Human Rights”, now there’s a few words to boggle the mind.
A bit like saying ‘hot ice’ or ‘cold fire’. Mind you, he is quoting
straight from the Muhammadan/Cultural Marxist handbook.
“Diversity” (only Muhammadanism), “tolerance” (only Muhammadanism)
“respect” (only Muhammadanism), “religious” (only Muhammadanism),
“multicultural” (only Muhammadanism)” etc. etc.
lebel says
“Zeid called the Islamic State group “an abomination” ”
at jwatch that means full support to IS and taqqiya/kitman
The report continues “Zeid reminded council members that earlier this month, his office found that the Islamic State group’s vicious attacks on Iraq’s minority Yazidi community “may amount to genocide.” The report details killings, torture, rape and sexual slavery, forced religious conversions and the conscription of children. ”
Yes, clearly an ISIS supporter, what “praise” lavished on ISIS.
Im glad that jwatchers are the way they are however because it would only become worrysome if they acquired critical thinking skills.

More apologia from lebel.
Besides Zeid’s lauditory comments about the Islamic State’s “diversity”, his main purpose in fighting for “human rights” is to ensure that no one can really oppose Jihad.
That he tosses in a couple of obligatory criticisms of ISIS along the way to maintain his plausibility to those not paying much attention does nothing to change his basic stance.

Muslims loving diversity?mdont make me laugh! Although they will say that to your face and encourage converts to marry muslim men of different races or backgrounds (a convert muslim man is usually only considered good enough for a convert woman) what they say in private is very telling. A friend told me about a conversation with a Muslim woman about an upcoming wedding. When she asked if the bride was American the lady sighed and said “what difference does it make, the only reason OUR men marry YOUR women is because you’re so cheap”
FredvanH says
Is anybody else noticing how an enormous lot of that diversity is being paid for by white western autochtons?

And Hitler has good taste in shoes.
Less than shocked this guy found something to admire about IS.

The UN Human Rights Chief’s statement on diversity in the IS-Utopia – could be leveled at – western nations. With all the Christian persecution across the Arab/Muslim world / the Jordanian rulers stubbornly cling to the idea that western ‘Islam-o-phobia’ is the number one problem.
His statement could be more to this denial ~ which covers the Islamic world like an oil slick!!
::
Islam-O-PR
Saudi Arabia beheads people in the public square ~ as well leaves rotting severed heads stuck on posts – to discourage others from engaging in similar ‘Islamic crimes’.
Part of the Islam-o-phobia invention effort was to get westerners to accept Islamic values and norms – of course without actually examining them – as critical analysis or examination was put down as Islam-o-phobia.
Where Saudi Arabia’s public beheadings – are carried out behind a shroud of secrecy – kind of Islamic PR – those caught filming and posting images of these beheadings online – face arrest [and possibly beheading themselves] – ISIS on the other hand is throwing the whole thing in everyone’s face – along with the Koran verse to match.
And this is for Muslims more worried about the preservation of Islam’s image – the real ‘abomination’ – which lies not in the abominable act – but in the exposure – Iran for example throws its criminals off the side of cliffs ~ under order of a judge – but when Isis acting in a less discrete manner – does the same – it’s “un-Islamic”.
Because with Islam’s image tarnished – how can these Islamists-in-suits – ever hope to arrive at Muhammad’s dream of a global Islam State – without going the IS route.
::
Muslim leaders argument against ISIS is not with Islamic scripture ~ it is a mixture of timing, method and power.
If they thought they could win ~ there would be many more – possibly even whole nation states – alongside ISIS.
Islam ain’t Christianity! And that reality is ever present – Malaysia wants to put to death those who leave Islam. Such that there is only no compulsion to Islam in the west [read: free west]!!
The idea is – we join and persecute [read: conquer] others until they join – and after there is no one left to join then there is “Islamic” peace!! And 13-14 hundred years on…. Islam has still not found its ‘peace’.
gravenimage says
And what has Prince Zeid Raad al-Hussein’s “human rights” focus been?
Surprise, surprise—it’s been that the “fight against terrorism not violate human rights”—i.e., that the fight against Jihad be stymied at every turn:
http://www.voanews.com/content/un-official-says-fight-against-terror-must-not-violate-human-rights/2668758.html
He says there must be no “overreaction to extremist violence”.
He said that people drawn to “extremism” have been “alienated by years of state tyranny, repression, discrimination and deprivation”, and that “Many of the recruits that flock to ISIL from well over 50 countries are drawn, I believe, by messages of persecution and pity.”
Never mind that the only persecution going on in the Islamic State is by ISIS victimizing *other people*, and that the only pity one should have is for these victims.
It’s all bs, anyway—most recruits are heading off to join ISIS to wage violent Jihad and to get booty and sex slaves.
The UN has had some pretty grotesque figures on their “human rights” council in the past, but they may well be outdoing themselves in the Orwellian department with this Taqiyya-spewing creep.
