There have been several Muslim members of the Knesset who have openly declared their support for the “Palestinian” jihad and hope that Israel will ultimately be destroyed. The kneejerk assumption that the overwhelming majority of Israeli Muslim citizens have the best interests of the State of Israel in mind, and are voting for its defense and preservation, is just Leftist fantasy. And Leftist fantasy is the basis of all Obama Administration policy.
“White House: Bibi’s Election Undermines ‘Democratic Ideals,'” Weekly Standard, March 18, 2015:
…”There’s one other thing that I anticipated might come up that I just did want to mention as it relates to the Israeli elections. Specifically, there has been a lot of coverage in the media about some of the rhetoric that emerged yesterday that was propagated by the Likud Party to encourage turnout of their supporters that sought to, frankly, marginalize Arab-Israeli citizens. The United States and this administration is deeply concerned by divisive rhetoric that seeks to marginalize Arab-Israeli citizens,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest told the media aboard Air Force One today.
“It undermines the values and democratic ideals that have been important to our democracy and an important part of what binds the United States and Israel together. We’ve talked a lot about how our shared values are an important part of what binds our two countries together, and rhetoric that seeks to marginalize one segment of their population is deeply concerning and it is divisive. And I can tell you that these are views that the administration intends to communicate directly to the Israelis.”…

In case anyone doubts Iran’s goals to destroy us, our military now says that Iran already has plans in their military manual to eliminate the USA by disabling our electrical grid and it can be easily done with a few nukes.
Why don’t our politicians talk about it? Simple. Public perception is the only driving force in Washington and the TV people have their nose up Washington’s rear. The nuke delivery method used to break down the power grid has been thoroughly tested but it is too difficult to explain for public perception. It sounds unbelievable except to ANY electrical engineer. People are not engineers and therefore there is no perception, hence Washington sleeps. Politicians believe their own BS and TV is for entertainment, not news. This is a perfect formula for Iran and B.O. is their perfect stooge.

Felix Quigley says
This is what has been avoided by the joyous victory in Israel and on St Patricks day too. If the Left Fascists of Livni and Labour had won then in combination with the evil of Jihad Arab Muslims IN Israel – Fascist dictatorship would have followed and all discussion closed down
The Israeli election and victory for Netanyahu is a major positive. There is no doubt that if the Left Fascists Herrzog and Livni had won and then teamed up with the United Arab faction which is now the third largest in a Jewish Israeli Parliament (while Jews are killed in every Arab country and repressed terribly in Iran – what is left of them that is)…
It is this alliance of Left Fascists inside of Israel and of Jihadist Israel Hating Arabs who have been given a vote and base also inside of Israel that was so dangerous. These moves were being orchestrated against Bibi by Obama who does not really hate so much Bibi as hates Bibi as a representative of Jews and Jewish culture in our world. In other words Obama is an Antisemite. That is what the election defeated.
I feel the above (written and published this morning) is correct. Discussion is being closed down. In article on (4international.me) I draw attention to jailing of 8 youth in Catalonia yesterday for no more than youthful and unemployed protesting. In other words it is Franco again.
I try to show that these Left Fascists (note my precise terminology here) of Herzog and Livni uniting with the Jihadists INSIDE of Israel would have moved SO fast. So very fast.
And anything was possible. I also analyse how they were stopped and I believe it was the POOREST Jews who stopped Obama and these Left Fascists. I am a Trotskyist and I salute Bibi and in particular I salute his speech to Congress March 8 which I believe turned everything around.
In the article I explained the latter. The Left Fascists of Herzog were pushing economic issues. But leading in the most reactionary direction possible.
In their hands towards a Jihadist palestine State which is of course the death of the Jewish Homeland and the opening of the door to Iranian Nuclear World Destruction
Note please note my studied terminology. They are Left Fascists.

Felix,
I looked at your article. I also did a bit of research on the positions of Isaac Herzog: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2015/02/21/could-isaac-herzog-become-israels-next-prime-minister/
I actually don’t see the need for your apocalyptic language. Herzog basically agrees with Natanyahu’s position on Iran and on the apartment building in Israel, not to mention other issues. You repeat your fascist charges in the article, but you never give evidence to back them up. In other words, where is the evidence for your implication that the brownshirt thugs would be going around Israel eliminating opposition voices?
vlparker says
You want evidence. Here’s your evidence. France, Britain, Denmark, Italy ,etc., etc., etc.
RonaldB says
May I suggest you read the exchanges before commenting on them?
Felix Quigley says
I actually agree with VL Parker above. These Labour Parties are all cut from the same cloth. There is no difference between say Blair and Herzog. Whatever about the latter’s ancestors in the history of Israel it is the present that counts and he was the baby of Obama and heading towards the creation of a 22nd Arab state, meaning the end of Jewish Freedom. Plus he had a mass base which is the forces of Jihad.
occupant 9 says
Perhaps it because, election after election, Leftist makes promises that sound conservative but they don’t mean it; they parrot the common current on the issues but always have their own agenda.
In their accusations, it has been my observation that whenever a Leftist accuses a conservative of doing or planning something awful, often, the Left is either already doing those awful things or plans to, but when they do them they’re not “awful.”
The Left has a magic of their very own which gives Islam a challenge to the mantle of the world’s best delusionists.

Obama and his administration DON’T promote democratic ideals. Obama ACTIVELY promotes Islam, which does not promote democratic ideals at all. I agree with someone who said he and his administration turn everything upside down – they call things that are good evil and what is evil, good. Benjamin Netanyahu has the courage to call evil for what it is. If he did have any anti-Arab rhetoric, there is probably a very good reason – because they are demanding and divisive, having no intent of cooperation, and do not support democratic ideals. The fact of the matter is, Benjamin Netanyahu won this election, and Obama can’t stand it. Obama and his administration tried to undermine this election and they should be called on the carpet on this. I am tired of him being a tyrant, doing what he wants and getting away with it. He needs to be thrown out of the WH.
O'bum Obama says
What kind of Rhetoric is then Obama and Leftists are reading out to Israel? Why should White House poke its nose on the conduct of elections in a close ally’s domestic politics? How can Political Opinions and Partisan views be issued as White House Statements? On what basis America is telling Israel its conduct of election was ‘divisive’? Isnt the Arab faction not Divisive? Isnt Left Arab alliance not Divisive of Israel’ Unity and endangering its Security? What if tomorrow Arabs achieved a State using these idiots of Left parties and turned it to another terrorist safe heaven? Where’s the guarantee such a Arab Political victory wouldnt lead to Ethnic Cleansing of Jews and Terrorism against Jews? Seems Arabs are free to gang up with Leftists and attempt a ‘democratic’ Subversion of the Jewish State! Thats not Divisive ! Only any Resistance that thwarts that is Divisive? This blatant intrusion in the Internal affairs of an ally nation, and Delegitimisation of its Democratic processes and choice- is what is Anti- Democratic and Divisive Subversion. Israel must summon the American Ambassador and insult this administration with a strong Note for poking into her Internal affairs.
RonaldB says
There are reports that the Obama administration is considering (planning) collaboration with the UN to pressure Israel into accepting a full Palestinian state. This is an extremely serious development, as the UN General Assembly, if not the Security Council, would condemn and sanction Israel immediately, were it not for US vetoes. Israel cannot stand against a world boycott by itself. The leadership of countries such as Britain, France, and other European entities under fire by Muslim populations, try to buy time for themselves by throwing Israel under the train. Without the US veto, the UN will declare sanctions against Israel, giving cover to groups using violence and legal pressure to deny markets and military cooperation to Israel.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/03/19/white-house-eyeing-un-to-pressure-israel-on-peace-deal/
It was pressure such as this that brought down the South African government. It is a little-known fact that the South African government actually renounced apartheid, and embraced representative government for all its inhabitants, prior to its fall. But, the UN and anti-apartheid groups maintained its sanctions on South African, not satisfied with anything less than the total victory of the African National Congress.
The fact is, the existence of Israel as a strong, independent country is absolutely vital to US interests. It is not that Israel always supports the US or even acts in a manner in which we approve. It is that the existence of stable, strong, distinct national countries is a requirement of stability in the region. It was the destruction of the Iraqi government by George Bush the second, and the destruction of the Libyan and Syrian government by Obama that opened the way for ISIS, and also which allowed vast Iranian influence in the region. Iran and Iraq are natural enemies, and would have balanced each other nicely, if George Bush the second had used the brains of a tomato.
Will Durant commented that in the Second Punic War, Hannibal would never have made it to the gates of Rome if Rome had not previously conquered the independent tribes of Italy. Each tribe would have defended its territory, the same way that Belgium fought the German army at the beginning of World War I, unwilling to allow the German army to pass over its territory, even though the Germans were willing to give territorial guarantees.
It’s significant that a distinguishing feature of Obama’s philosophy is precisely that he wishes to do away with strong national identity, in favor of class identity. The UN is a bureaucratic organization, unaccountable to anyone, whose path to more power and influence is to de-emphasize national identity and prerogatives. The primary influence in the UN is the 57-nation Islamic Oganization of Islamic Cooperation. It is an extremely dangerous development that the US is contemplating using the UN against Israel.
Paradoxically enough, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, all Muslim countries, are forming informal or not-so-informal alliances with Israel, seeing their own interests in stability rather than the advancement of pan-Islamism. Chances are Russia will support this alliance, and Israel will tilt towards Russia in the future. But, even such an alliance ultimately serves US interests more than the dissolution of strong national identities in the region, although it may be to the tactical disadvantage of the US.
There is absolutely no doubt that the Obama administration is doing severe damage to US interests and long-term security by working to dissolve national identities and governments in the region. The Republicans are just as complicit, supporting the removal of the Assad government in Syria. You’d think that Republican candidates such as Bobby Jindal would put a bit of thought into the matter but no: Bobby Jindal is strongly in favor of removing Assad, not considering that there is NO viable alternative to maintaining the cohesion of Syria, not to mention the protection of non-Suni populations.

Wellington says
Solid comment, RonaldB. Well written.
I would only add this (and perhaps you’ll agree with me here): Bush 43 had to go into Iraq and remove the megalomanic who was Saddam Hussein. SH was out of control, slaughtering his own people, the only world dictator who had WMDs AND used them, was giving the impression he still had WMDs (every major intelligence agency thought so too) and regularly violating the truce terms that concluded the 1991 war, including firing daily on British and American jets patrolling the two no-fly zones. Where Bush made a mistake was in thinking democracy could be implanted in a Muslim land. What he should have done, after removing SH, was install an authoritarian type as well as allowing the Iraqi military to stay in tact. He would have been criticized, of course, for this——America aligning with another dictator, blah, blah, blah——-but this would have proved far more likely to work than Bush’s attempt to transplant democracy into a land that was completely incapable of it.
RonaldB says
Hello, Wellington. It is always a pleasure to read your rational, well-informed comments, and I eagerly read every posting you make that I encounter.
I myself would rather that the US had not deposed Saddam Hussein, but I do not dispute your analysis. Paul Bremer, the US governor in Iraq from 2003 to 2004, systematically removed every Ba’athist government official, and disbanded the Iraqi army, civil service, and police. In other words, he laid Iraq completely open to every Muslim and criminal gang. putting Iraq into a state of complete anarchy. It took the lives of over 4000 US soldiers to restore a semblance of order.
In fact, following your scenario of simply getting rid of Hussein, actually all the US had to do after deposing Saddam Hussein was…nothing. The totalitarian structure was already there, and there was no shortage of ruthless Iraqis wanting to take power. The difference between them and Saddam Hussein would be that they would know that if they angered the US too badly, they themselves would be deposed. I think it would have been better to have allowed the Iraqis to scramble among themselves for the position of dictator, rather than choosing one for them. The US has been notoriously bad in that area.
The Buffster says
Good analyses, RonaldB and Wellington.
I lean in Wellington’s direction regarding Saddam Hussein. But I have to admit, I’m not 100% confident in this area.
In a region where the concept of individual rights doesn’t have a strong cultural foundation, pretty much anything you do will look like a mistake. If that basis isn’t in the culture, it’s not going to grow there magically overnight. And you can’t force people to understand it or to love it. But without that principled basis within the culture, you’re going to get tyranny, once way or the other.
The best you can do is tell the frickin’ dictator that if he threatens you or your allies in any way, he’ll get a drone up his bum. And then deal with him in accordance with that and with whether he’s a fairly reasonable dictator or a megalomaniac of monstrous proportions.
I’m not 100% comfortable, though, with my own foreign policy opinions. I feel like something’s missing. I’m not sure I know enough about the options to have a solid, confident view.
Maybe what’s getting in my way is my desire to rescue everyone who wants to be free from the tyrannies of the world. No matter how realistic I manage to be, that bit where we can’t free all the decent people will always bug me. (No, I really think it’s my sense of inadequate knowledge in regarding foreign policy and our own best interests, but I hate that anyone is trapped under tyranny.)
But the question is, will we rescue our *own* liberty from destruction? If we can just do that, then at least we can continue being the place where freedom-loving people aim to escape to.

In you three I at least see balanced criticism for all humans, not just for Westerners and it’s like a breath of fresh air.
My nuances; – Am on the whole optimistic about the future. a few things to mention; – the internet, 2 billion Smartphones …., investment by US Defense in nano-technology and drones that are called “spy-flies”.
– I am in favor of paradigm-shift in that we do not have some high but vague “norms about normal”, then see Islam and Muslims “only” as negative deviation. But that we do have “low but vague” “norms of normal” and then see Positive Exceptions like balanced, accountable, honest, honourable, informed, democratic citizens.
And that we protect and promote those and that we do not care much anymore about these stubborn “ordinary citizens”, albeit them being rather innocent and nice on average. Since persuading them is for 99 % a waste of time.
If that means losing territory to Muslims, yeah, I would accept such a “worst-case-scenario”. We Democratic Citizens and Muslims may both have “something”, we do not even want “all” and they are not likely to get “all”.
If they get “something more”, with lots of stubborn ordinary citizens, let’s see how THEY like’m, and how the Ordinary citizens like the Muslims THEN.
Greyhound Fancier says
Well said…GWB started out right, but the only value received by the US from attempting to install decent government in Iraq is the knowledge of fair and decent government’s incompatibility with the Islamic population.
Not too long ago, BHO and VP Biden touted Iraq as one of their shining achievements. But they lost interest too soon. It’s considered unlikely that any ISIS types would have had much success if they had to oppose the “Varsity” (US Marines and US Army).
