“After assaulting the faithful, the group stole items worth 33,900 taka (4,134 EUR); destroyed Bibles, crosses, holy pictures, musical instruments and homes; killed goats and chickens.” Time to step up the “dialogue,” bishops! That will fix this right up in a jiffy!
The U.S. Catholic establishment, with its refusal to discuss, much less do anything about, the Muslim persecution of Christians in any honest manner, is failing its brethren in Bangladesh and all across the Islamic world.
“Bishop of Sylhet: Protection for tribal Catholics, victims of expropriation and threats,” by Sumon Corraya, Asia News, April 17, 2015 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Sylhet (AsiaNews) – “We want justice and security for our priests and our faithful. We hope that the government will find a peaceful solution and that our people can live free from tensions. ” This is the appeal that Msgr. Bejoy N. D’Cruze OMI, Bishop of Syleht, launches through AsiaNews after the recent attacks against the tribal Khasia living in his diocese. “They are a very peaceful community – the prelate said – but often fall victims of the Bengali majority “.
April 6 last, Syed Ara Begum, a Muslim owner of a tea plantation, along with at least 35 people attacked the Khasia village that falls under the jurisdiction of the parish of Sreemongal (Moulovobazar district). The population – all Catholic – was celebrating Mass for Easter Monday. Hearing the cries, the pastor Fr. James Kiron Rozario CSC ran to the site to save them. The crowd of Muslims, however, attacked him with a knife, seriously wounding him and threatening to kill him.
After assaulting the faithful, the group stole items worth 33,900 taka (4,134 EUR); destroyed Bibles, crosses, holy pictures, musical instruments and homes; killed goats and chickens.
The pastor filed a complaint against the Muslims who attacked them: “They attacked us to push us to leave the plantation. They want to occupy the land, but what they did is illegal. ” Fr. Rozario explains that the population years ago obtained government permission to use that land. “Now – he says – my Catholics and I live in fear, they might attack us at any moment.”…

Muslims are like a swarm of poisonous leeches.
Islam was invented by Mo to help him dominate his neighbours by force and now they are doing exactly the same all over the world using and misusing our tolerant societies and religions to get what they want.
Scum.

Slightly off-topic, but it is worth noting that Pakistan’s Christians are showing support for UKIP in the forthcoming UK elections. As supporters of UKIP are constantly accused of being “closet racists”, it may be worthwhile British JW readers linking to this story:

This link can be used to reply to leftists who routinely dub UKIP as “a bunch of racists”. According to them, these Pakistani Christians must also be a bunch of “racist Islamophobes”…………..

This is great news and very heart-warming to hear. The story should be broadcast more widely. Farage is doing a herculean task with the British leftist hawks ready to descend on him at every opportunity. He is absolutely not a racist in any shape or form – he is simply the best hope we have of getting rid of the insidious and ubiquitous dominance of the left over here – in the BBC, in our education system. A massive task indeed.
I hope, after this election, he’ll accept the the invitation of these good, long suffering people and visit Pakistan. He understands the big political/cultural picture and the relationship between Judaic-Christian culture and the West better than anyone in the British establishment right now and he is truly a God-send.
Mainland Europe has a different world-view to the UK because of each country’s recent liberation from some form of totalitarianism. They are like adolescents in love with their new found ‘freedoms’ – so called ‘tolerance’ and relativism being their gods. At source this is the secularism that Islam sees as their golden opportunity for infiltration. Europe is culturally emasculated. I believe UKIP symbolises a much needed distancing from all of this.

Whereas genuine, actual racism is an ugly thing and should be
opposed, I hope everyone wakes up and realises that ‘progressive’
Lefties have twisted and perverted the idea of what it is to be
‘racist’. They don’t give a toss about the mainly non-white victims
of Muhammadanism, whether it’s the appalling treatment of Christians
in Pakistan, Copts being butchered in Egypt, Nigerian Christians
being targeted virtually every day or the Ethiopian Christians recently
murdered in Libya etc. What they mean by ‘racism’ is to oppose this
fascist ideology that wants to murder EVERYONE who doesn’t
submit to its inhuman demands. I just wish they’d do us all a favour
and go and live in the Cultural Marxist paradise that is the Islamic
State. A win-win situation for all, surely.

Muslims resent Christians because Christians worship Jesus who was sinless while Muslims know at some level but are afraid to admit that when Muslims die, Muhammad and his filth will be waiting to greet them in hell.

I remember watching a Peacock fanning out its feathers and a female watching him. The thought occured that even a bird brain appreciates art.
Art, music, and literature are the earmarks of a productive society. Destruction and control of the host is the mark of a parasite.
Why doesn’t President Obama explain to the entertainers who perform at the White House that their music and instruments were not appreciated by Muhammad, and that if they think Muhammad was nuts they are slandering the poor devil? If Muhammad were there he would stick his fingers in his ears and walk away as was described in the Hadiths. When PC-deficient Muhammad called some of them them raisin heads that would definitely raise some excitement.
Carving out Pakistan from India didn’t solve the internal muslim-hindu problem because too many stayed in India. Every year we read about some bloody clash with Islam in India.
One bright note: they can’t swamp India through reproduction like they are doing to Europe.

I didn’t realize that Christians in Bangladesh are only 0.4 % while Muslims are 87%. These poor Christian are doomed to harassment, expulsion or worse. The Ummah is getting restless.

In the 70s Bengali Muslims cried out to the Christian West to save them from their barbarous country folk from what is now Pakistan.
Thousands trekked into India for safety and India finally entered Bangladesh and sorted out the Pak Army.

Matthieu Baudin and particolor, it is a grave error to equate the Catholic Church, Western and Eastern, with the delusional ramblings of (an) appeasing bishop(s) in the USA, and even a greater mistake to identify the Church with the US Catholic establishment. Not a day passes that the present Pope fails to issue an appeal for the Christians of the Middle East, Africa and other places where they are under persecution. He also has taken up the cause of persecuted non-Christian minorities.
Perhaps if both of you were to consult daily at least “ZENIT – the world seen from Rome” – you would be less quick to judge the Church Universal. You might also notice that the repeated position of both the Vatican and numerous representatives of the Church are in stark contrast to the realpolitik of the elected representatives of the modern, secularist world.
You seem not to be aware of the constant activity of the several Eastern Catholic and Orthodox Diasporas on behalf of their co-religionists remaining in the areas worst afflicted at the moment because of the disintegration of the political framework of the Middle East.
I can only comment on the Australian situation – here the Catholic Bishops Conference has been consistently supportive of the Church under persecution. Official statements issued, special collections taken up and prayer campaigns organized. Recently, an official delegation of Catholic bishops (Eastern and Latin Churches) and Orthodox bishops visited the “hot spots” of the Middle East; and you can add to all this, the bishops engage regular dialogue on this matter with Australian governments both state and federal. But, of course, I am sure that both of you are fully cognizant with all this, and I am sure, much more.
As an Eastern Catholic cleric living and serving in Australia, and in a Church with connections throughout the Middle East and Africa, I can assure you that your judgments are both hasty and inaccurate.
Indeed, your thinly veiled anti-Catholicism only gives comfort to the enemy. The Mohammedans must thank the demon god of Makka that amongst the Christians on the home front, there are sowers of untruths and discord.
The recent statements concerning the threats to Agia Sophia illustrate the point – very quickly contributors parted from the issue at hand and fell into uninformed amateurish comment about Catholic and Orthodox history, and theology.
Matthieu and particolor, whatever your agendas, put them aside and speak the truth in charity. The enemy is at the gate.
