He has also recently said that “Islam is a religion of peace, love and compassion.” “Speaking about Taliban and the Islamic State or Daesh militant groups, the Imam said that those who misinterpret the Quran and apply Quranic verses about infidels on other Muslims are ‘Khwarij.'” The Khawarij were an early Muslim sect that was quick — like the Islamic State, the Taliban and al-Qaeda — to pronounce takfir upon other Muslims, that is, declare them unbelievers who could lawfully be killed. And however much the Imam-e-Kaaba and other members of the Saudi establishment may dislike its being used against them, takfir is an accepted practice in Islam, with no limitations on how often it can be pronounced. The Imam-e-Kaaba says that the Islamic State and the Taliban “misinterpret the Quran and apply Quranic verses about infidels on other Muslims.” If he deigned to explain how these groups misinterpret the Qur’an, he might really start making headway against them.
“Daesh, Taliban have no link with Islam: Imam-e-Kaaba,” The Nation (Pakistan), April 26, 2015:
Islamabad: Imam-e-Kaaba Shaikh Khalid al-Ghamidi today urged the people of Saudi Arabia and Iran to unite over the Holy Quran and Sunnah. He said Daesh, Taliban have no link with Islam.
Speaking exclusively to a private news channel, the Imam urged Saudi Arabia and Iran to shun their differences.
The Imam said that enemies want to hurt Muslims by creating divisions within their ranks, and that the unity of the Muslim Ummah is the need of the hour. “As the Imam of Haram Sharif, I call upon all Muslims, whether it is our Saudi or Iranian brothers, to unite over the Holy Quran and Sunnah. Today, our enemy does not want to see us united. They want to see us divided like this,” he said. “A Muslim is the flag-bearer of Quran and Sunnah. It is critical that we unite while shunning sectarian differences,” he said.
Speaking about Taliban and the Islamic State or Daesh militant groups, the Imam said that those who misinterpret the Quran and apply Quranic verses about infidels on other Muslims are “Khwarij”. He said that Pakistani people and Parliament are on the same page regarding defending the Harmain Sharifain, but they are not on the same page regarding Yemen issue. He said that during his trip he had a chance to meet people and the way they are ready to tender any sacrifice for defending the Harmain Sharifain, is unprecedented….

The mullahs know all the difficulties in this confusing system of texts. They above all others must have substantial doubts about the material they are teaching. I can’t believe they don’t know Islam is false. They certainly do know what we know from reading the textual criticism.
They only give the appearance of being firm. The mullahs are actors performing a part in a play.

Dear mortimer , help me out here , you have a far greater knowledge of the religion of Islam than I do .
Last night I was watching on satelite . T.V. prayers coming from a Mosque , I think in possibily Tehran .
At the end of the service the cameras panned up towards the ceiling of this very large mosque .There suspended on ropes from the the ceiling was a very strange object,it looked like a skinned goat or sheep torso ??? It was next to a huge chandelier .
Any ideas as to what it may be ?? and its purpose ?

Well he is right isn’t he. We don’t want to see any unity between sunni and shia as unified they present a much greater threat to the West, not to mention Israel. I can’t see it happening any time soon though.

The Sodomizer of a six-year old child, Muhammad said, “I did not rape the six year old girl until she turned nine”

Islamic texts clearly state that the little girl had her head shaved to look like a little boy.
But, that still does not make it right, Muhammad.
Shame on you Muhammad.

I am so relieved that beheadings, amputations, floggings, and wife beatings have been stopped by Shaikh Khalid al-Ghamidi who was previously approving them for use by the government and people of Saudi Arabia. There must be jubilant crowds in the street celebrating as if it were 9/11!
What good news for Sunday worshippers in the West, to think that peace will now reign in the ME with Saudi Arabia leading the way.
“..those who misinterpret the Quran and apply Quranic verses about infidels on other Muslims are “Khwarij”. So, it’s just fine to apply them to Infidels??
Won’t having all the Muslim world unite in belief with Saudi Arabia make the world flat and cause the Sun go around the earth?
Wait! There is figure coming in the distance. Why, its, its, the Iranian Ayatollah! He has something for the Shaikh Khalid al-Ghamidi. It looks like a, a, bomb!

“If he deigned to explain how these groups misinterpret the Qur’an, he might really start making headway against them.”
Even of the Kaaba Imam actually did proffer an explanation for how ISIS is misinterpreting the Koran, it would at best devolve into a Scholastic dispute over minutiae (much like the Scholastic dispute in the High Middle Ages, only bickering incessantly here about how many houri can fit on the head of a pin…).
I’ve seen transcripts from various “conferences” of Islamic scholars and imams — they usually are concerned to discuss & debate matters of war, fighting, killing, and general hatred of various Others; and when discussing & disputing, they never dispute whether they as Muslims should be warring, fighting, killing, and hating the Other — they only dispute as to the fine points of when to fight and kill the enemy, how to do so, and under what circumstances.

Also see my essay on an Islamic scholar living in London (yes, in our 21st century), who goes by the name Al-Tartusi (full Arabic name is Sheikh ‘Abd Al-Mun’im Mustafa Halima), who wrote among other things about:
“On the one hand, we use the proofs and the texts calling for bravery and penetrating [iqtiham] and storming [inghimas] enemy lines – but this without being foolhardy – and [this is permitted] even if it leads to one’s being killed by the enemy, so long as there is in one’s storming [enemy lines] an overriding benefit to the jihad, to Islam, and to the Muslims. On the other hand, we have the proofs and the texts that forbid one to kill one’s self. The reconciliation [of these two groups of texts] is possible and easy, and there is absolutely no need to have recourse to limiting [the application of] or abrogating [texts]!”
And as I observed back in 2012 when I wrote this essay:
“Doesn’t this Islamic scholar have better things to think about?
“Of course he doesn’t. My apologies for that silly question. Onward.
“The words are, unfortunately, important because this modern Islamic scholar living in the West is parsing the proprieties and niceties of how and why to kill us.”

Um-hmmmm… What this says to me is that ‘Official Islam’ [aka the Saudis et al] are gearing up to unite against ISIS, and they have to make a start by declaring their enemy heretics. Of course we are aware that the ISIS barbarians are practicing a very pure and radical form of Islam, very much in keeping with the religion’s roots and established by The Prophet. Can the Saudis fool enough of the people enough of the time?
My personal belief is that somebody [the Saudi royal family is a likely candidate] is attempting to establish a caliphate before the world doesn’t want mid-eastern oil any more…and the plutocrats of the Gulf states have the funds and leisure to make a go of it. But having a bunch of fundamentalist radicals running amok might upset the grand plan…so they have to do some housecleaning.

What other religion has to go to such lengths to convey to the world that some of its adherents got their religion wrong AND with such deadly consequences by doing so? The “AND” in the previous sentence is critical. As to the question I asked in the first sentence my answer would be a resounding “None.”
Also, as voegelinian correctly pointed out above, what Muslims are really disputing in the matter touched upon in this article is when to kill, when to fight, how to do it and the whole nine yards of Islamic nonsense along these lines. What they don’t dispute, in summary, is Islam’s right to “wage war upon the unbeliever until all religion is with Allah” {Sura 8:39}.

The only error he could find is that ISIS targets lax Muslims, but so did Mohammed. There is a very good precedent for executing those who do not fulfill all their Islamic duties.

Jack Diamond says
As mention above, there is no controversy about killing infidels, it is only when Muslims kill other Muslims things become un-Islamic (for one side). Al Qaeda was highly popular in Jordan until AQ in Iraq started including Muslims in their kill spree. The catch is that they regard the Muslims they kill as apostates, hypocrites, or of having joined the kaffir war against Islam. Muhammad had a mosque burned down he heard was not following the Islam of the Prophet and Muslims have been burning down rival mosques ever since.
When “hypocrite” Muslims opposed one of his military raids, Muhammad ordered the house they were gathered in be burned down. The grounds for apostasy in Islamic law are wide-ranging (including ‘thought crime’ apostasy) with a potential death penalty at stake. The Ridda Wars involved killing tens of thousands of Muslims who wanted to leave the fold. Real Muslims do kill other Muslims and attack them in their apostate mosques, fitna-discord is worse than a slaughter. The early history of the caliphs? Islamic cannibalism, full boar. It continues today and that is good news for infidels, considering the alternative. As for the Qur’an not being literal you better take that up with Allah: “We have sent down on thee the Book making clear everything.” Where in any consensus of Islamic scholarship does any “smart” Muslim have the right to not take literally the obligation to fight the disbelievers and to hate them?
