The Islamic State has a truly global reach, because of the appeal of its claim to reconstitute the caliphate. Yet Western analysts have no idea about why it is so appealing to Muslims worldwide, as they have already decided that it has nothing to do with Islam.
“At least 33 killed in suicide bomb attack by Islamic State on bank in eastern Afghan city,” by Lydia Willgress, MailOnline, April 18, 2015:
Thirty-three people have died and 105 are injured after a suicide bomb attack in an Afghan city.
An explosive-laden motorcycle was detonated next to military personnel and civilians gathered outside a bank in Jalalabad early this morning.
They were waiting to receive their monthly salaries as crowds bustled around them when the bomb exploded in the busy commercial district.
Islamic State has since claimed responsibility for the attack, President Ghani said.
Speaking from Badakhshan he said: ‘Who claimed responsibility for horrific attack in Nangarhar today?
‘The Taliban did not claim responsibility for the attack, Daesh claimed responsibility for the attack.’ Daesh is an Arabic acronym for the Islamic extremist group.
