The parents were mistaken in citing fears of terrorism in refusing permission to visit the mosque. Their children are unlikely to be attacked or killed there. Much more likely, however, is that students who go to the mosque will be indoctrinated with a dose of soothing nonsense designed to render them complacent about jihad, Sharia, and Islamization. In any case, the point here is that it is now mandated in Britain to adopt such complacency and swallow the nonsense about Islam being a religion of peace: dissenters’ children will be publicly humiliated.
The self-destruction of Britain is painful enough to watch as it is, and compounded by the eagerness of so many Britons to abet it.
Her Majesty’s Britannic Death Watch Update: “Students Publicly Humiliated by School Because Parents Refused Permission for Mosque Visit,” by Donna Rachel Edmunds, Breitbart, April 29, 2015:
Ten young children who were pulled out of a school trip to a mosque by their parents have been publicly humiliated by their school in Cornwall. The children, aged between eight and 11, were singled out in assembly and made to answer questions about their planned non-attendance.
Junior school children from Lostwithiel School in Cornwall are due to visit Exeter mosque, Devon in May as part of their Religious Studies lessons. The rural school has just 156 pupils on its books, nearly 100 of whom, aged between eight and 11, are expected to be taking part. The school says the aim of the outing is to teach children that jihadist groups such as ISIS are not a true reflection of Islam.
But the parents of 10 children refused permission for their youngsters to take part in the trip due to safety concerns, citing fears over Islamic terrorism. They reacted furiously to the news that their children had been made to publicly answer questions about their non-attendance, pointing out that it was not the decision of the children involved.
One parent, who asked not to be named, told the Daily Mail “We have grave concerns about the childrens’ safety during the trip due to the horrific events that occur every day. We have therefore decided not to send our children on this trip. This decision is not one based on ignorance or racial or religious beliefs, but one based purely on safety concerns.
“They were made to stand up after assembly. The sitting non-attendees were then asked individually why they were not going on the trip. This is not a decision the children have made, so discriminating against these children in this fashion is disgraceful, unacceptable and unprofessional.”
However, the Chairman of Governors of Lostwithiel School, Kat Smith, was unapologetic. She insisted that the school had a duty under the Equalities Act 2010 to promote different faiths and ethnicities.
“This is the first time pupils from the school have visited a mosque and it’s an exciting opportunity for them to learn about different faiths and ensure that they’re aware of the diverse nature of modern Britain,” she said.
“Because of recent news reports about extremist groups, such as ISIS, that identify themselves with Islam, a small number of parents have expressed concerns about the trip and the teaching of Islam in school.
“In response, the school held a special assembly with children to discuss these issues, and the head teacher has met and sent letters to parents with specific concerns.”
She insisted that the trip was safe for the children to take part in, and that, coming from a provincial area such as Cornwall, it was imperative that children be introduced to other faiths and cultures. And she explained that children should be taught that ISIS is not “a true reflection of Islam”.
“A full risk assessment has been conducted for the trip and there is no more risk attached to this trip than any other school trip,” she said.
“Religious Education forms part of the basic curriculum in schools and its teaching is enshrined in law. The school recognises that parents have the right to withdraw their child from RE in whole or in part, and provide alternative work to further their child’s knowledge and understanding of the parents’ beliefs and values.
“However, the school is aware that children growing up in Cornwall may have little contact with Muslims and it is aware that it has a duty under the Equality Act 2010 to promote good relations between people of different beliefs and ethnicities as part of its single equality duty.
“The Governing Body fully supports this trip and the teaching of RE, including Islam. It is the governors’ hope that the visit to the Mosque will provide an insight for pupils into the nature of British Islam, help them understand how Islam is presented in the media and that groups like ISIS are not a true reflection of the Islam followed by the vast majority of Muslims in Britain.”
The school’s headteacher Carolyn Huxley said that the trip would still go ahead and reiterated the need to teach children that jihadist groups such as ISIS are not a true reflection of Islam.
“Our hope from the visit to the mosque is that children will be given a view as to what are the values and beliefs of a ‘British Muslim’”, she said. “This trip will show the children the views of extremists are not a true reflection of Islam as a religion.”
In other words, it will be one long exercise in deception.

My question would be how the school administrators and teachers normally vote. Surely they are all Democrats. Probably just a few of those nasty Republican students’ parents complained. Nothing here to see. Move on.
Anti Fish says
Duh, this is in England. They don’t have Democrats or Republicans. I don’t blame these parents. With all the terrorist attacks carried out by Muslims, I would never let my child go anywhere near a mosque. This is no religion of peace, it’s a death-cult.

Sorry, mate, the school is in the UK. No Democrats or Republicans. Just ‘Labour’ and ‘Conservative’ who frankly aren’t much different from each other. All part of the same up-their-own-rear-quarters ‘political elitist’ club, or so it appears. The problem in the UK is that most of the Education has been hijacked by the same trendy left-wing liberals (influenced by Communism and the Frankfurt School, and the rest of it) as have also hijacked the BBC and a lot of the UK Establishment. They’re all pushing this PC, feminist, multi-culti, Islam-loving crap. If you’re at all ‘nationalistic’ or ‘conservative’ with a small ‘c’, or you, as it were, vere to the ‘right’ (which is actually the ‘centre’ a lot of the time, but THEY are all so far to the ‘left’ that anything that they disagree with must be to the ‘right’ as far as THEY are concerned), then you’re definitely ‘persona non grata’. There have been people hounded out of their teaching jobs because they had links with the ‘British National Party’, which those in ‘influential places’ regularly denounce as ‘Right Wing’ (that’s the INSULT, of course) or ‘Nazi’ (that’s just plain ridiculous) because THEY don’t agree with it, of course. (Actually, BNP ‘right wing’ policies are surprisingly similar to 1950’s centre-left ‘Labour’ policies but with a nationalist emphasis, and it was the BNP who (a) first denounced Islam as ‘evil and wicked’ and its leader almost jailed in a trumped-up show-trial for saying so, (b) was amongst the first to blow the whistle on the Muslim sex-grooming gangs and (c) played a pivotal role in stopping UK involvement with the anti-Asad people in Syria, but no one ever mentions THAT, of course!). And did I use the word ‘liberals’ earlier on for people in the UK Establishment? Is it possible to have ‘Liberal Totalitarianism’?
Linde Barrera says
To jayell- You posted that the British National Party (BNP) was the first to state that Islam was “wicked and evil”. Do you sense that they have any chance in winning the election? I live in Brooklyn, NY and have no idea about what is what with British politics and Islam. Thank you in advance for answering my question.
jayell says
Hello Linde. The answer is No, they haven’t a snowball’s chance in Hell of winning anything since they’ve almost been destroyed by the Liberal-leftie, Globalist, Politically-correct, Common Purpose-infested, islam-loving British Establishment in cahoots with the BBC and the rest of them. Whenever the BNP is mentioned in public, the word ‘odious’ (or something similar) is prefixed before its name like some sort of Pavlovian reflex because, if you want to be ‘in’ and ‘respectable’ (etc) you’re not allowed to show any kind of positive attitude towards them. The reason for this might be that some of its elder members had dealings with the ‘National Front’ when this was about the only viable ‘nationalist’ group available in England for those who weren’t too happy with the way they saw things going in the post-war period (like the MP Enoch Powell who made the infamous ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech), and to be honest there were some in its ranks who strayed rather too far to the ‘right’ for comfort. That might have been a bit of the ‘mud’ that stuck to the BNP when our friends from the Left (who now seem to dominate the show) started throwing it around.
However, when you look at the current policies of the BNP and the people that support it, it becomes obvious that it looks very much like a ‘traditionalist’ group of (often working-class) ‘normal Brits’ who want the UK to stay as it WAS up until the immediate post-war period, and maintain the standards of that time, which explains its ‘nationalist’ agenda and why a lot of its thinking resembles the 1950’s centre-left Labour party. From what I’ve seen they are most certainly NOT raving nazis or fascists as the ‘establishment’ would have us believe, but they are angry.
The big joke now is that a lot of what they were saying 10 – 15+ years ago is now going increasingly mainstream in even the more up-market press as the effects of the rot of ‘multicultarism’ becomes increasingly apparent to more and more in the UK and the quite repulsive and corrupt antics of our Mohammedan friends has made it to the headlines since their (establishment-managed) cover has been blown. It really is becoming very obvious now what’s been going on all the time, and who the villains really are. A ‘respectable’ party called UKIP (United Kingdom Independence Party – that is, independence from the EU, which was a major BNP plank) has effectively taken over the BNP mantle on many issues in defence of what WAS the ‘staus quo’ (but don’t say that too loudly or you’ll get shouted down).
I personally remain politically non-aligned since I’m fed up with the whole rotten business – the United Kingdom (which looks like NOT being ‘united’ for much longer) has been sold out to all and sundry and is no longer the place I grew up in. Can I join you in Uncle Sam?
Linde Barrera says
To jayell- You gave a great description of what is happening in Britain, politically and popularly, and it sounds sad and pitiful. I welcome you, Neil Jennison and Manchester lad to the USA should you decide to come. One good feature here is we do not have a state sponsored church. And I think many Muslims want “equal time” so to speak, with the Church of England, so they can get the benefits of whatever UK gives to individuals who are members of a state sponsored religion. Correct me if I am wrong. Take good care.
jayell says
Hello again Linde. Actually the CofE isn’t ‘State sponsored’ even though it is the ‘established Church’ and often bahaves like ‘Her Majesty’s Department of God’ (I made that joke once before, even though it’s not really a joke!). It has to pay its own way, but it’s got plenty of investments & property ever since Henry VIII nicked it all from the Roman Catholics, and its Bishops sit in the House of Lords. Bit odd really, because there are quite perceptible anti-Christian undercurrents over here at the moment – you can see it clearly on the BBC and elsewhere amongst ‘those who must be obeyed’ and it seems to be linked with all the closet Marxists who have got into the woodwork and who are working with the Muslim infestation. Possibly a huge cultural destabilising exercise. There was a story on this site not long back about a vicar of a church in Waterloo (London, not Belgium) who hosted some kind of joint Christian/Muslim do in his church, clearly part of the big sucking-up-to-Mohammed thing that seems to be going on (WITHOUT the consent of the British people, I might add!!!). This sort of thing seems to have spread down to the grassroots since I notice that my own church has started its annual ‘Christian Aid’ campaign apparently in co-operation with ‘Muslim Aid’. I was never aware of any general consultation about this! I actually looked at the Muslim Aid website about a year back, and it seemed to be simply a cheap rip-off of Christian Aid. They made a statement that they help anyone irrespective of who they are (Christian Aid does not HAVE to make a statemant like that – they just do it, it’s naturally expected). The only problem was that I looked at their campaigns, and they were ALL being conducted in MUSLIM areas. Now, there’s a surprise!!!
Linde Barrera says
To Jayell- I appreciate that additional information on the C of E and Christian Aid. I feel as though you are my “Overseas Correspondent of Truth”. Thank you! There is a group called ACERO, which stands for the Assyrian Church of the East Relief Organization. I made a contribution to them from my US tax return. You may want to check them out. And please, please say a prayer for me that I can speak only truth and show proof in the Holy Bible of the Divinity of Jesus Christ, to my very nice and kind neighbor from Uzbekistan. He has been in this country for many years, and is glad to be in the USA, as Uzbekistan is one of the countries on the “Top 10 List of Corrupt Countries”. He requested this meet-up information from me; I am a Christian witness for Jesus Christ, but I do not push my beliefs on anyone. God bless you and your family Jayell.

Exactly. How many different faiths are the children being shown through a mosque visit? How many visits to other houses of worship, for other religions, are planned for the students?
Why are the children being ridiculed over a decision that is out of their hands?
Sad.
Peggy says
How many Muslim children will be allowed to visit other places of worship? Will anyone try to ridicule those children if they don’t?
Time to start suing the school and the education department. Ridiculing children is child abuse and someone has to be held accountable for that.

Important question. Peggy.
Ephesian says
Rev….why would any sane person visit a mosque? If I confessed to someone that I was a satanist and had my own place of worship,do you think it’s ok for people(and children)to be given a guided tour and enlightened on the subject? Of course it wouldn’t,because (I hope!)people would find it abhorrent to be “into” such things(although I accept some are).We have the situation where evil is not only being condoned quite publicly, but is also being trumpeted as “the” religion, and being introduced to our children. It doesn’t matter what the school curriculum is,no child of mine would be visiting a mosque,or listen to a talk given at school by any muslim, full stop.
john in cheshire says
Or what about something really novel – a visit to a Christian Church?
Ephesian says
John…can’t you just hear the muslims shout “it’s against our faith to visit an infidel church!” and…..their kids wouldn’t have to either,as the school would back down pretty smartish, craven cowards.
Charli Main says
but its not against their faith to convert those churches into Mosques. In fact it is a fundamental tenet of their faith.
There is probably NOTHING more these Muslims would love than to see minarets on Westminster Abbey and Canterbury Cathedral.
voegelinian says
“The parents were mistaken in citing fears of terrorism in refusing permission to visit the mosque. Their children are unlikely to be attacked or killed there. Much more likely, however, is that students who go to the mosque will be indoctrinated with a dose of soothing nonsense designed to render them complacent about jihad, Sharia, and Islamization”
I think Robert Spencer is subtly erroneous here. While it is highly unlikely that Muslims will explode during a Dawa field trip, the “soothing nonsense” of such a Taqiyya-Dawa is not merely trying to lull Kuffar about the stealth jihad, as Spencer’s formulation implies, but also about precisely the violence which these parents fear. That threat of violence could happen anywhere, anytime — and likely not at a mosque at all or anywhere near. It is the open-ended quality of Islamic violence which, when coupled with other factors directly pertinent to Islam — mass-murderous fanaticism, hatred of the Other, supremacist expansionism, and, last but not least, taqiyya — that is the point. From our perspective, motivated as we ought to be primarily by our concern for public safety, such violence has no discernible bounds or delimitations, and we cannot pinpoint which Muslims will do it and when, rendering the problem universally broad to include all Muslims.
As a global revival of Islam is slowly coalescing in a mass rippling effect all around the world — including our own Western world — of social, psychological and cultural networking among Muslims, it behooves us to be logical about this. If anyone has a magical key by which they can discern the harmless Muslim with sufficient reliability for the purposes of our #1 concern — our public safety — then they really should not be counseling attitudes, behavior, or policy. The danger, the stakes, are too high. We cannot afford to play Muslim Roulette with our lives, and the lives of our loved ones, neighbors, and fellow citrizens.
I wish I were singing to the Choir here; but unfortunately, too many in the Counter-Jihad (“such as it is”, as Diana West wryly remarked not too long ago) continue to indulge in fantasy thinking with regard to this horrific, systemic, metastasizing problem.
voegelinian says
Correction (those damned double negatives…):
” If anyone has a magical key by which they can discern the harmless Muslim with sufficient reliability for the purposes of our #1 concern — our public safety — then they really should not be counseling attitudes, behavior, or policy. ”
Should be, of course:
“UNLESS anyone has a magical key by which they can discern the harmless Muslim with sufficient reliability for the purposes of our #1 concern — our public safety — then they really should not be counseling attitudes, behavior, or policy. “

There are several points on which I have differed with Voegelinian, and I have said many times that I don’t think his tone of disparaging his fellow Anti-Jihadists is particularly useful, nor—as Wellington notes—is it gracious.
That being said, I don’t see how his perfectly unremarkable statement that it is virtually impossible to determine which Muslims are harmless is objectionable, nor how saying this makes him an “ass”.
I know PJ is irked with Voeg’s tone, but to turn this into a blanket and often crude personal condemnation is even less gracious.
As I have said before, I actually respect both Voegelinian and Philip Jihadski, and find this running spat disconcerting and divisive. I imagine PJ will be disparaging and dismissive of my views, and Voeg will think that my statement is not nearly strong enough.
But this is an old difference of opinion—very old, at this point.

Meanwhile voeg is the one in need of correction; besides, he should be cleaning up his own messes. Voeg created this mess, so let HIM clean it up.
Next time, please don’t fall for voeg’s manipulation: by calling *us* out and having the nerve to criticize *us* for not SAYING SOMETHING to PJ. That kind of manipulation should piss all of you off. Please, next time just say No to this nonsense from voeg …ha, if there is a next time.

Hi Champ—much of what you say here is quite true.
Far from being appreciative, Voegelinian has said in the past that he considers comments that (in his eyes) don’t go far enough as not merely something he disagrees with but actually as constituting a personal “betrayal”.
His assertion that other posters have “stayed silent” is also incorrect—I have weighed in on this issue a number of times in the past.
But his comments and those of others involved have had no bearing on my response—I have always been very honest about my views here, no matter whose posts may have prompted a response.
I find myself in general agreement with Wellington’s stance here, a poster I have always had the greatest respect for.
I doubt that we can all consider ourselves Anti-Jihadists committed to the cause whatever our occasional disagreements on tone and tactics, but I well realize that this may be too much to hope for at this point.
In any case, I always look for your comments, Champ, and consider you both an ally and a friend. Be well.

To Ephesian- Thank you for clarifying about BNP and UKIP. Seems to me the battle is hotting up between individual/ personal beliefs and societal/collective beliefs. Where and when these 2 concepts clash or become incompatible, is where there is fighting and controversy. Life on Earth it seems, is always in some sort of battle.

Note the head teacher’s conflation of Islam and Muslim. Usual story. How can kids be taught that ISIS is not a reflection of Islam? You can only be taught something that is true. Now, the kids could be taught that only a certain percentage of Muslims approve of iSiS. But distinguishing between the ideology of a religion and the actions and beliefs of its adherents seems to be beyond most people, sadly. And actually, the sitting member of parliament for the area is Tory,, and the European MPs for the area are a mix of conservative, UKIP, and Lib dem.
dumbledoresarmy says
And these kids were aged 8-11.
How many 8-11 year olds are capable of making fine distinctions – or of seeing through nonsense-and-lies such as they will be smilingly fed by doe-eyed hijabis at the mosque?
dumbledoresarmy says
If I found out that my either of my two younger children – aged respectively 14 and 17 – were being taken on a school “excursion” to a mosque, I would ask why.
I would probably not deny permission; but I would state that my permission, since my children were under-18, was conditional on my being allowed to accompany my child. If I was not permitted to accompany them, I would refuse permission. And when I *did* go, I would wear – visibly – either my Christian cross or my Star of David.
And before I went, I would insist to my children, at home, that they watch 1/ Geert Wilders’ “Fitna” and that they read 2/ the Barnabas Fund booklet “What is Islam?” and “What is Shari’a”; and I would show them the pages at the back of Mark Durie’s book “Revelation? Do We Worship the Same God?” in which he sets out, in plain language, and in tabular form, side by side in two columns, the crucial points of difference between Christianity and Islam.

Sadly I’m a blue collar drone wage slave who is no expert on them. and I am too blunt.Though being stalked by hackers since August of 2013 is still bizarre. Hopefully no one else has it happen to them, or if you do, hire a good PR agent.
On a side note any computer experts know what I should do after having all of my personal data including my Social Security number all of my tax information ect looked at by people I’d rather not see them, and it’s not the government. Also say when I file taxes next year can the hackers enter my personal data into the IRS website and get my address ect?
Being stalked is creepy, since I can’t discuss and debate politics in peace, I think the best idea is to find a way to escape the dragnet of my stalkers and find something else to do. Also since both my computers have so many STD’s how do I go about cleansing my system without them maintaining some kind of backdoor into said system.
I reinstalled windows ect, but a virus I know is there reinstalled itself. Also can your Comcast modem get infected? Just assume after so long and after so many times hacked my computers are as infected as a hooker at a third world brothel. Sorry to hijack a thread on this site, or not I doubt too many people will bother reading this post, besides members of my fan club, but I figure there most likely are quite a few good I.T people here. whether any of you feel like helping me is another story. I’m sure many will be happy as well. though I simply support better conditions for the troops since they have the stones to take the fight to the enemy, and just like you want to find a way to deal with this threat, though I understand I just piss people off in the way I deliver the message more often than not.
I don’t want to spam this thread with my personal problem anymore so if anyone can offer some help I’d appreciate it. If you have any good advice email Raistlin009@yahoo.com, though do it from a dummy account and if you get any links back from said email don’t click on them since it means my email got hijacked again and it’s a phising attack.
They used this one to great success on a different email account awhile back, or if you don’t want to risk that way, I guess replying to this message would be OK. I just don’t want to spam a thread about an important subject. Though after reading this they will be just that more determined to go after me, which is why I asked the thing about filing taxes., this also applies to sites like Turbo Tax ect being a blue collar drone, I don’t use a CPA. Any help would be much appreciated and sorry to post an off the topic subject. Anyway I wish you people the best, hopefully someday people will take your warnings seriously.

I expect the parents had to cite fears of ‘safety’ as they felt this would be the only grounds on which they could object without being accused of overt ‘racism’.
Perhaps these ten parents are some of the few people in the UK who understand a little about Islam. I would not want my eight year old daughter to go to a mosque as part of a school trip as I’d be well aware of the propagandising nature of such a trip.
I very much doubt they will learn ‘something about Islam’ while they are there. Just the usual lies and taqiiya so they can write essays about how lovely Islam is when they get back to school.
If the parents had given the real reasons for their objections, they would probably be arrested and charged with a criminal offence.
Welcome to Britain!

This is very true, Champ. It all depends on the *nature* of the diversity—if it is something that is compatible with Western democracy, then it can be broadening and enriching to explore. If it is *not*, then whitewashing it and pretending that it is—as is entirely the case with Islam—does nothing but endanger us and our freedoms.
Ahmed Deedat says
The parents ought to say that they do not support a trip to a mosque because because they don’t feel that will give a good enough insight into Islam.
The parents should go on to say that they would support a trip to Mecca.
The school can then promote equality by organizing a trip to Mecca for the students.
Would someone suggest the school write to the Saudi Embassy to arrange this trip and make the reply from the embassy public so we can all see Islamic Equality in action. hahaha
RonaldB says
I think that a point that has only been mentioned tangentially by a few posters is that the real issue is not whether the trip is safe or not, or whether the school officials are correct in positing it as a necessary “diversity” experience.
The point is that the school administrators are punishing the parents through humiliation of the students. The point, important as it is, is irrelevant. The school is letting the parents know that in the future, the students themselves will be publicly humiliated for any non-politically-correct demonstration by the parents.
The administrators are too dull and cowardly to take on an assertive adult, but a 12-year-old entrusted to their care is just right.
Unfortunately, as the government becomes more centralized, powerful, and non-responsive under civil service, the more intimidation to conform will take on this form. The parents do not have any real recourse, as the centralized bureaucracy supports not only the trip but the humiliation.
It’s a sign of increasing totalitarianism when the government resorts to extra-legal steps to push its philosophy.
Nathan says
I sort of agree with your post there RonaldB and this may be the point that you were making. It’s not about the 10 not going (they are a lost cause, yay!). It’s about showing to the other 90 what will happen to you if you show any dissent to the powers that be. School, police, government & islam..
It’s a life lesson, dressed up as something else…. That’s islam. It’s not about what right or wrong. It’s only about what will happen to you if you don’t follow their directions.
So…Shoes off, head down, ass in the air.
gravenimage says
Ronald B, I believe you are correct in positing that the audience for the humiliation of these students is primarily the students who *are* going, lest they or their parents even get cold feet over going with the dhimmified program in the future. They know that they will be publicly shamed and ridiculed by their own teachers in front of their peers.

OPINION OR FACT?
“The school’s headteacher Carolyn Huxley said that the trip would still go ahead and reiterated the need to teach children that jihadist groups such as ISIS are not a true reflection of Islam.”
What ‘need’ is there to teach an opinion as fact? That is propaganda. Whose propaganda?
Not Mohammed’s.
Mohammed said that jihad IS ISLAM: Sunan Abu Dawud Book 23, Number 3455
Teachers should not teach their own speculation or guesses as fact.
Tom Cherian Mullammootil says

Ideally they should have given a reason like “.. for their youngsters to take part in a field trip which takes them to a institution where a slave owner (Muhammad) is respected as the most perfect man ever lived is offensive and traumatizing to their kids ”
Force liberals to defend slavery and slave owners – they moment they do so – file police complaint against RACISM for condoning slavery and slave owners.

This resonates hugely with me. The education system in my country (Commonwealth) is fixated on two groups. Group One are the academically gifted and Group Two are the social misfits. The kids in the lumpen majority in the centre of the bell curve are pretty much forgotten on the basis of ‘Hey, they’ll turn up anyway’.
One state primary (grade) school in a working class suburb, self-congratulated itself on reaching out to migrant/refugee children and this is a quote from a newspaper write up:
‘Christmas and Easter celebrations are out, while Chinese New Year and Diwali are in for a Wellington school meeting the challenges of cultural diversity’.
No thought of readying these children to take up productive lives in their adopted country, or even a ritual nod in the direction of their host culture.
Teachers are ‘gratitude junkies’ and the silence of the majority is taken as approval. Turning little Johnny away from a life of crime or oohing over little Jane who just got entry to med school is what it is really about.
As with the school in Cornwall, those parents who don’t signup to the teachers’ view are firmly put in their place.
In the school mentioned above, some migrant parents protested against the ‘let’s all learn together’ approach and asked that the boundaries between teachers and students be re-established.
The teachers rather crowed that those parents had been told what to do.
The internal paradox is that if it’s the diversity the teachers approve of – OK.
If it’s the views of dissenting migrant parents who want a structured programme for their kids – not OK.
Angemon says
You’re going to learn about islam whether you want it or not. The school
may very well have the duty to “promote different faiths and ethnicities”, but it certainly doesn’t have the duty to abuse its students, which is what this amounts to – in the words of Hillary Clinton, “a good, old-fashioned public shaming”.
Or they could just read the news – Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Sikh or Buddhism don’t have gangs of men acting upon the tenets of their religion and raping little girls. Islam does.
Are there any “extremist” groups identifying themselves with any other religion?

The foolish woman said, in part: ““Because of recent news reports about extremist groups, such as ISIS, that identify themselves with Islam, a small number of parents have expressed concerns about the trip and the teaching of Islam in school. And she explained that children should be taught that ISIS is not “a true reflection of Islam”.“Our hope from the visit to the mosque is that children will be given a view as to what are the values and beliefs of a ‘British Muslim’”, she said. “This trip will show the children the views of extremists are not a true reflection of Islam as a religion.”
***************************************************************************************************************************
So, we know it’s okay to lie to the kids about isis and islam. They are ” teaching of Islam in school.”
But, that is not enough. The children must be taken to the barracks where hatred and incitement to war against the other *religions and cultures* is part of their *worship* that the children must hear. The children must hear….by the *enshrinement of law*…that Christians and Jews are to be hated and killed….but this is not the same as isis. This is *British islam* and therefore, different from isis.
So, one of the questions to the foolish woman should be: How do you know enough about islam to say for a certainty that isis is not the “true reflection of islam as a religion”?
Another: If a cleric in saudia arabia says isis is a “true” islam and an imam in iran says it isn’t, and two more in pakistan say it is, and one in turkey says no…should they all contact you,… the woman trying to get her kicks making small children feel emotional pain…for an answer as to which is the true face of islam?
This is more worship of the wild beast from satan being compelled and forced on children too young and vulnerable to be able to effectively stand up to it.
Oh, foolish woman, you will not escape just because you bow down now.
Georg says
Children must be forced into proselytization about the simian nature of Jews and piggish aspects of Christians, and introduced to their not being individuals, but rather kaffir, or they are deemed intolerant. The people who forced this propagandizing will be remembered in history as morons and cowards.
Nazis had an attitude, relating to Hitler youth, that essentially presumed if they couldn’t get the adults it wasn’t overly problematic because they’d get the kids. Well, some people aren’t *$#@&(! having it– and get used to it!

I hope the teachers explain why Mohammad was right to “marry” a 6 year old girl and then force himself on her when she was 9.
That way the kids will understand one of the basic facts about Islam.
Pedophilia is sacred.
The 6 to 9 year olds will be fascinated by this kind of cultural info.
gravenimage says
I doubt these witless teachers have any idea that the “Prophet” was a pedophile—or a war lord, slaver, kidnapper, rapist, assassin, and mass murderer.
And yet despite their vast ignorance, they are confident in saying that ISIS does not represent Islam, when they exactly exemplify it.
Michael Copeland says
Three points:
“British Islam”. There is not one. “Islam is Islam, and that is all there is to it”, said Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey.
“the vast majority of Muslims in Britain” may be quite interesting, but they do not define Islam, nor can they change it. Islam is defined by its core texts.
“a true reflection of Islam”: the Chairman of Governors, Kat Smith, being a kafir, is NOT ALLOWED IN to a mosque to hear the sermons. She cannot, therefore, judge from her personal experience what constitutes a “true reflection”. This is simply an unbacked assertion.

Please respond. Anyone who lives in Britain may respond. Thank you.
Ahmed Deedat says
You do not have to provide a reason so perhaps just do not.
If you have integrity and wish to inspire it in your children you could say no to mosque visit and say you will, however, support a trip to Mecca.
Now, of course, “unclean kaffir” (according to the koran) are forbidden to enter Mecca and Medina. You are unclean kaffir to moslems so a school trip of the likes of you and your children will not be possible.
After you have pressed the school for an answer as to why a school trip to Mecca is impossible and they finally tell you that Moslems are supremacists who look disparagingly upon the unclean kaffir you can ask when the children will be taught about this moslem intolerance and bigotry in lessons.
Then you can say that you do not want your child exposing to such intolerance and bigotry as you are bringing your children up to be good as best you can and do not want undermining.
Say that as teachers they should not be cowards and lairs by telling children untruths about moslems when they know the truth about this bigoted religion. It is important for teachers to have integrity so children can learn to have it too.
At this point they will probably call the police to arrest you for islamophopia for pointing out the kaffirphobia banning your children from Mecca.
Linde Barrera says
To Ahmed Deedat- Thank you for your truthful and funny answer to my question about refusal to visit the mosque.
Michael Copeland says
“true reflection”
“groups such as ISIS are not a true reflection of Islam”, asserts the Chairman of Governors. ISIS, that is, Islamic State, orders Yazidis to convert to Islam. Yazidis, because they are not Jews, Christians, or Zoroastrians, are not permitted by Islamic law to pay the jizya tax and retain their religion. Islamic State killed those who did not convert.
The Grand Mufti of Egypt is not a member of Islamic State. He is the highest authority in Sunni Islam. Ali Gomaa, when Grand Mufti, said, “Muslims must kill non-muslims wherever they are unless they convert to Islam”.
Where is the “true reflection”?
Michael Copeland says
The “true reflection” is in Islam’s main source text, the Koran, at 9:5:
“And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.”
The Koran – all of it – forms part of Islamic law, which specifies the death sentence for anyone who denies any verse. This can be carried out, vigilante style, by anyone, and with no legal repercussions “since it is killing someone who deserves to die” (Manual of Islamic Law, “Reliance of the Traveller”, o8.4).
Wellington says
Extra sad that this occurred in Cornwall. If such a remote and beautiful part of England, my wife’s favorite part of England I might add, has been sullied by the terrible burden which is the Islamic faith, then it is so that all of England, even its most lovely and remote regions like Cornwall, the Lake District, the Border Region, Dorset and Yorkshire are vulnerable to the hideousness and repressiveness and general ugliness which characterizes the desultory religion which goes by the name of “Islam.”
Time, I submit, for the Queen to take a stand as the Danish Queen already has. If a constitutional monarchy can’t opine when its entire nation is being subverted from within, which Britain surely is courtesy of Muslims and its foolish allies among so many of the British elites, then what the hell is it good for? If you can never put a national institution on the line for fear that such institution might tread too heavily, then, I submit, such institution has outlived its usefullness. Besides, look who’s waiting in the wings to replace Elizabeth. Why it’s Charles, and would anyone here at JIhad Watch who knows what Islam is really all about want this man in charge of determining the true worth of Islam?
I submit that Britain is at a critical juncture in its history and so is the British monarchy. Get it right, Britain, get it right, Queen Elizabeth. I’m rooting for you both. Millions more outside of Britain are too.

Peggy, people who *are* qualified to teach about Islam – like Robert Spencer – are not even allowed into the UK. And anyone qualified who already lives in the UK and has anything other than a glowing assessment of Jihad etc, will soon be in prison for “Islamophobia”. This is how fascist regimes operate.
Bindon Blood says
Unfortunately the educational establishment in Britain ,and indeed Europe ,was conquered by Marxists several decades ago and under the last allegedly Conservative led coalition the strength of the Marxist activists increased rather than decreased. Many in the teaching profession are sympathetic to the hard left, many ,like this dope in Cornwall, are hopelessly squishy liberals.
In Britain ,as in Europe ,the politicians have invented a watered down type of Islam purely for public consumption.Nothing will be allowed to impede this brainwashing exercise and as all good lefties know the best place to start indoctrination is in the schools.
Parents, seriously, do need to be careful because the way British society is developing it will quite likely be illegal to criticise Islam eventually and parents who don’t want their children to be brainwashed could find themselves accused of child “abuse” and the children would be taken into “care”.Oh yes,the Social workers are mainly Marxist too in case you were wondering so they will be quite happy to do it.
It is very unlikely that the head teacher or the staff have any depth of knowledge regarding Islam,if any;but that won’t stop them talking about it as if they have made an in depth study of the Koran, sira and hadith. To my knowledge ,I’ve never heard of it anyway,Muslim children don’t seem to visit a church, there wouldn’t be coerced to go anyway. Strange that.
Seriously, this all so stupid. The message of Islam is not even a secret kept by Muslims ;it’s there for all to read. It won’t make any difference though, the left and liberal twits will still keep sticking their fingers in the ears and singly loudly la,la,la whenever there is a danger of anyone telling them the plain ,obvious, written in all the holy books truth about Islam. They want their fairy tale version to be true.If they wish long and hard enough ,they believe, hey! it might just come true. Dangerous Morons all.

UK: School officials publicly humiliate students because parents refused permission for mosque visit
……………………………….
Disgusting—this would be a shameful mistreatment of students no matter *what* the issue.
That is it to further dhimmitude is even more appalling. When did teachers ever get the idea that it was their job to whitewash the evil of Islam?
More:
The parents were mistaken in citing fears of terrorism in refusing permission to visit the mosque.
……………………………….
This is correct—but this is not the explanation many parents gave. Here are some:
“I do not want my daughter going to the mosque for personal reasons. I don’t agree with the religion and what it stands for…”
“I did not want him to go because they are a violent religion…
You can see what they are like every day on the news. There was a Muslim bomber in Exeter just a few years ago”
These sound pretty reasonable to me.
And even re the parents directly concerned about their children’s safety: I’ve certainly heard responses that are much less rational to the threat of Islam than this.
And not surprisingly, these Muslim are already whining about ‘Islamophobia’:
Mosque claims “myths and hysteria surrounds our religion”

dumbledoresarmy says
Here’s another thought.
If the parents were *non-religious* they could have argued that they didn’t want their kids being exposed – at such an impressionable age – to Muslim *dawa*, all backed up by the simpering approval and encouragement of the teachers (and then they could cite the myriad instances of persons of non-Muslim background, many of whom converted to Islam when young and impressionable, like Jake Bilardi in Australia, who have gone on to become rabid jihadis and traitors to their country).
The worried parents, whether religious or non-religious, could also have cited the multiple – and ever-multiplying – cases of Muslims preying upon underaged girls in the UK, and asked ever-so-sweetly whether the school could be *sure* – 100 percent sure – that the little girls amongst the party would *not* afterward be stalked by Muslim male predators. The children in the excursion group were aged 8-11. Girls as young as eleven *have been* targeted and raped and pimped by Muslim sex gangs in the UK. Parents need to cite those multiple cases, cite the Islamic texts that describe Mohammed’s ‘marital’ rape of nine-year-old Aisha, and state that they *do not want* their little daughters in contact with a cultural group that views girls that age as potential sex slaves.
Perhaps Gavin Boby and his “Law and Freedom Foundation” can be informed and can parley this into a nation-wide campaign: Parents Against Compulsory Mosque Visits, or Parents Against Dawa, in which non-Muslim parents of *all* backgrounds – Christian, secular, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Jewish – unite to put a stop to this state-supported dawa-ising of infidel children in the UK. Vulnerable infidel children should NOT be made to go anywhere near a mosque. *Adult* infidels should only visit a mosque in groups, and if they have previously informed themselves thoroughly about the varieties and types of deception they may encounter.
The concerned parents could watch – with their children! – the series “Undercover Mosque” and “Undercover Mosque: The Return”. And then read ex-Muslim Sam Solomon’s book “The Mosque and Its Role in Society”.
gravenimage says
All important points, DDA. I doubt many of these parents had anything like that depth of knowledge, but they were not wrong in their general association of Mosques with violence and danger to their children.
There is anger in other places over coerced school visits to Mosques, as well. This one, from Tennessee here in the States:
“Fury After Public School Sends Students to a Mosque and Gives This Controversial Alternative Assignment”
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/09/18/fury-after-public-school-sends-students-to-a-mosque-and-gives-this-controversial-alternative-assignment/
The alternative assignment in question was given to a girl who had opted out of the Mosque visit. She was to write a paper comparing Christianity, Hinduism, and Islam, but had to work from supplied sheets which completely whitewashed Islam. When she and her parents balked, she was penalized by the school giving her a zero on the assignment.
This visit was especially appalling, because the Mosque in question is the notorious Islamic Center of Nashville, which has links to the Muslim Brotherhood and Jihad terror:
http://counterjihadreport.com/tag/islamic-center-of-nashville-icn/
I imagine these two stories are just the tip of the iceberg, and that in many cases the parents are either too cowed, too apathetic, or too ignorant of Islam to protest.
But even though in both cases students were penalized, at least the news is getting out about students and their parents standing up to this twisted agenda—and parents are getting angry. I very much hopes this both empowers parents, and—as you suggest—leads them to educate themselves further about the threat of Islam.
Bindon Blood says
In modern Britain having Christian beliefs, even if only nominally, is almost as bad as being “Islamophobic” ;actually it might be worse,it’s too close to call. Anyway Christians ,or anyone remotely resembling one ,are not allowed to have and stand by any principles that can’t be judged “appropriate” by the P.C ,Marxist, self righteous and self appointed arbiters of what is permitted. Women, like this apparatchik in Cornwall, are often more fanatical than men.Yes I’m also “sexist”;a cell, the rack and the stake obviously await me.

The parents have the last say in matters of safety and security. If they feel they don’t want their children going to visit a Mosque even if it is safe then the school cannot force the children to do so in light of current tensions.
The children should not be interrogated and bullied for obeying their parents.
Today’s Islam is the Islam of Mullas and is infiltrated by all sorts of evil doctrines unfortunately so I would understand parents feeling unsafe having their children visit Mosques.
Whatever happened to freedom of choice in such matters??
General says
It is surprising how easily educators; those paid professionals entrusted with the responsibility to educate our children and promote critical thinking among them to help them deepen their understanding abdicate their duty towards the children in order to comply with some politically correct inspired legal requirement.
Islam a theocratic, authoritarian political ideology is up there with Hitlers National Socialism as the mother of bad ideas. As a parent I would object to my child being brought to a Mosque on political and moral grounds as I do not support any group which advocates genocide in this case everyone who is not a believer (in Islam) and in particular Jews and Christians of which I am one.
Once again PC doctrine mandates all religious beliefs are essentially the same and all are equally valid. However I argue that not all political systems are equal; I would rather live in a Western Liberal Democracy than under Fascism, Communism or Sharia. I view Democracy as the best available governmental system and therefore whould not want my child exposed to a religious/political system which advocates my and my families death because I don’t share their particular faith (Islam).

When are the children going to take a field trip to a church or synagogue? Apparently all religions are equal, but some religions are more equal than others.

We have Blair to thank for all this and much more. His speech about the “forces of Conservatism” was actually about the “forces of conservatism”. He dismantled and abolished systems and institutions that had served the UK well for decades, simply because he could.
He behaved like a bored, naughty child in a toy store, always looking for something new to play with and smash. Even at University, his lecturers remember him wanting to change anything he could lay his hands on.
He replaced that which he destroyed with the “everything is equally valid” mantra that now permeates our lives. Blair was always about change for the sake of change and his acolytes have continued down the same path.
The fool who occupies the White House is cut from the same cloth.
At the ’97 general election the Tories used a much criticised poster of Blair showing him with devil red eyes and the strap line “New Labour, New Danger”, We have and will continue to pay the price for his wanton destruction in perpetuity.
Perhaps one day when Blair is rich enough he may return as King of the EU,Tony the first.
In the mean time our children suffer as they are both the fodder and ammunition in the greatest social experimentation for centuries.

Even though I did follow the election, as a Yank I missed the “forces of Conservatism” speech from 1999. Here’s the full transcript:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/460009.stm
I’m certain some were sure he was just talking about clearing away the last vestiges of the class system, but if you read it you will see that this all about the entitlement society.
For instance, he says that the Labour government is going to “give” every pensioner an extra £100, and that the Conservatives would take it away. But this money was never Labour’s to give, of course—this is taxpayer money.
Of course, the taxpayer’s may elect to fund pensioners—but pretending that this is simply Blair’s own personal largess is absurd.
Flash forward fifteen years and you find most Muslims on the dole, and more flooding in all the time.
He also blames the Conservative Party for the murder of Martin Luther King. I think I can say with confidence as an American that his killer was not influenced whatsoever by any British political party.
And here’s a howler: Blair refers to “a spectre haunts the world”—what spectre would that be? Islamic terrorism? (even pre-9/11 this was clearly a growing problem). A revival of Communism or Fascism? No—”technological revolution”. Most of us would actually consider such productive innovation a positive thing—not Britain’s Prime Minister.
Worse, he sneers at the idea of “promoting the individual, and freedom and liberty”, and he sneers at Britain’s “past glory”, and pushes Britain’s domination by the EU. Disturbing stuff.
Jonathan says
“The Governing Body fully supports this trip and the teaching of RE, including Islam. It is the governors’ hope that the visit to the Mosque will provide an insight for pupils into the nature of British Islam, help them understand how Islam is presented in the media and that groups like ISIS are not a true reflection of the Islam followed by the vast majority of Muslims in Britain.”
So, this school are basically judging Islam by how Muslims act in Britain – and considering this to be a true reflection of Islam, rather than how Muslims act in actual Islamic States. A clear lack of joined-up, logical thinking there.

THIS IS WHAT I SENT THEM
Dear School,
The United Kingdom is increasingly under threat from Islam, Sharia and Jihad, and I truly fear for the long-term future of my two young children and all other non-Moslem children like them. The ordinary British people do not want the Islamisation of our Judeo/Christian Country.
The growth of Islam, Sharia and Jihad in traditionally Christian cultured Europe, the USA, Canada and Australia, is horrifying, especially in the UK. I have always believed that it is vital to understand the enemy within our nation in depth and to do this I have been studying Islam in for some fifteen years. It has been clear to me for a very long time that there is no such thing as either “moderate Islam” or “extreme Islam”. There is only Islam. Supremacist fundamentalist groups, like the Islamic State, are only obeying the strict word of the Qur’an, the Hadith and interpretations of Muslim scholars down through the ages correctly and they believe that they do no wrong. Unlike the Christian Faith, Islam is a false, artificially constructed, ideology of three fully integrated parts, religious, political and military. This is why it is very dangerous. DO TEACH THIS FACT?
Many Religious Studies teachers, Priests and politicians that I have discussed this matter with, simply do not understand Islam, Sharia and Jihad, nor have they even read an accurate translation of the Qur’an in English. This is so dangerous. All I have spoken to have said to me, “but there are many good Moslems”. Yes, indeed there are. But those Moslems have no idea what the Qur’an and Hadiths say and the vast majority of them, even educated Arabs, can neither read nor understand classical Arabic in which the Qur’an is written and in which it has to be learned and used in their religious practice. The vast majority of Muslims have been forced, in ignorance, to become Moslems by birth and by the society in which they have been brought up. The overwhelming majority of them have not come to this evil ideology by free will.
Please may I humbly urge you, to spend a valuable moment or two watching three brave YouTube videos? The first is, “An Historical Critique of the Beginnings of Islam – Jay Smith” who is a Quranic scholar and a Pastor in London. The second is “Exposing the Truth about the Qur’an – Usama Dakdok”. Usama and his wife are friends of mine and Usama is an Egyptian Arab Christian preacher and a Quranic scholar, now living in freedom, away from Islamic death squads, in the USA. Lastly, it is also interesting to watch, “Franciscan University Presents Catholics and Islam – Franciscan University of Steubenville, USA”. This involves a discussion with the American Catholic Quranic scholar, Robert Spencer.
There are many other valuable YouTube videos on this subject particularly by Robert Spencer, but I believe that every religious studies teacher, Priest, Pastor and Politician should be required to watch these videos, as I sincerely believe that most do not realize that our great democratic nation is under real threat through capitulation and appeasement of violent Islamic supremacism, starting in our schools, where a highly sanitized version of Islam is taught in Religious Studies lessons.

Does the school plan to take Muslim children to a church or synagogue visit to teach them diversity? And will the school berate those Muslim kids if their parents refused such a visit?

The idea that the problem here is women teachers is total bs, as is the idea “their (sic) all just cheap whores in the end”.
Many of the “politically correct” are men, and there are staunch Anti-Jihadists who are female, such as Pamela Geller and Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
The fact is that neither dhimmitude nor heroism has a gender.
His misogyny is sickening, and has nothing whatsoever to do withy fighting Jihad. In fact, given pious Muslims’ virulent hatred of women, it seems that Arizona would be right at home as a “revert”.

Teachers of the Torah. God did not make a “blanket statement” covering all teaching.
God holds good women in high regard. Have you ever read the Old Testament? Especially the book of Ruth, Esther or Proverbs? Probably not. click on the link below and see for yourself. The other books you can find yourself

This is why it’s important *not* to drink and operate a keyboard …

Drinking? Now I am unsure, the verbiage and sentence structure seems OK to me. The hate is there though.

Under the Equality act are the Muslims children also taken to visit Christian churches, and are they taught about Chritianity, or do their parents forbid it?
jane christian says
Do schools in Britain take children to Christian churches where they are told about Jesus and Christianity, and do Muslim children participate in these visits?? I very much doubt if Muslims would visit a Christian church for such cross-cultural religious “educational” occasions.
John says
I hope that the other parents pulled their children from the trip in solidarity with the victimised children.
