And on whose orders? And to what end? And why is no one in either party willing to raise a voice against this coverup?
“How the FBI is whitewashing the Saudi connection to 9/11,” by Paul Sperry, New York Post, April 12, 2015:
Just 15 days before the 9/11 attacks, a well-connected Saudi family suddenly abandoned their luxury home in Sarasota, Fla., leaving behind jewelry, clothes, opulent furniture, a driveway full of cars — including a brand new Chrysler PT Cruiser — and even a refrigerator full of food.
About the only thing not left behind was a forwarding address. The occupants simply vanished without notifying their neighbors, realtor or even mail carrier.
The 3,300-square-foot home on Escondito Circle belonged to Esam Ghazzawi, a Saudi adviser to the nephew of then-King Fahd. But at the time, it was occupied by his daughter and son-in-law, who beat a hasty retreat back to Saudi Arabia just two weeks before the attacks after nearly a six-year stay here.
Neighbors took note of the troubling coincidence and called the FBI, which opened an investigation that led to the startling discovery that at least one “family member” trained at the same flight school as some of the 9/11 hijackers in nearby Venice, Fla.
The investigation into the prominent Saudi family’s ties to the hijackers started on Sept. 19, 2001, and remained active for several years. It was led by the FBI’s Tampa field office but also involved the bureau’s field offices in New York and Washington, and also the Southwest Florida Domestic Security Task Force.
Agents identified persons of interest in the case, establishing their ties to other terrorists, sympathies with Osama bin Laden and anti-American remarks. They looked into their bank accounts, colleges and places of employment. They tracked at least one suspect’s re-entry into the US.
The Saudi-9/11 connection in Florida was no small part of the overall 9/11 investigation. Yet it was never shared with Congress. Nor was it mentioned in the 9/11 Commission Report.
Now it’s being whitewashed again, in a newly released report by the 9/11 Review Commission, set up last year by Congress to assess “any evidence now known to the FBI that was not considered by the 9/11 Commission.” Though the FBI acknowledges the Saudi family was investigated, it maintains the probe was a dead end.
The review panel highlighted one local FBI report generated from the investigation that said Abdulaziz and Anoud al-Hijji, the prominent Saudi couple who “fled” their home, had “many connections” to “individuals associated with the terrorist attacks on 9/11/2001.”
But: “The FBI told the Review Commission that the communication was ‘poorly written’ and wholly unsubstantiated,” the panel noted in its 128-page report. “When questioned later by others in the FBI, the special agent who wrote (it) was unable to provide any basis for the contents of the document or explain why he wrote it as he did.”
How strange. Yet panelists did not interview the unidentified agent for themselves. They just accepted headquarters’ impeachment of his work.
Odder still, the agent’s report was just one of many other FBI communications detailing ties between the Saudi family and the hijackers. In fact, the Tampa office of the FBI recently was ordered to turn over more than 80,000 pages of documents filling some 27 boxes from its 9/11 investigation to a federal judge hearing a Freedom of Information Act case filed by local journalists over the Sarasota angle. The judge is sorting through the boxes to determine which documents should remain classified. Most are marked “SECRET/NOFORN,” meaning no foreign nationals — a classification reserved for highly sensitive materials.
“The report provides no plausible explanation for the contradiction between the FBI’s current claim that it found nothing and its 2002 memo finding ‘many connections’ between the Sarasota family and the 9/11 terrorists,” Thomas Julin, the attorney who filed the FOIA lawsuit against the FBI, told the Miami Herald.
The panel’s report also doesn’t explain why visitor security logs for the gated Sarasota community and photos of license tags matched vehicles driven by the hijackers, including 9/11 ringleader Mohamed Atta.
The three-member review panel was appointed by FBI Director James Comey, who also officially released the findings.
Former Democratic Sen. Bob Graham, who in 2002 chaired the congressional Joint Inquiry into 9/11, maintains the FBI is covering up a Saudi support cell in Sarasota for the hijackers. He says the al-Hijjis’ “urgent” pre-9/11 exit suggests “someone may have tipped them off” about the coming attacks.
Graham has been working with a 14-member group in Congress to urge President Obama to declassify 28 pages of the final report of his inquiry which were originally redacted, wholesale, by President George W. Bush.
“The 28 pages primarily relate to who financed 9/11, and they point a very strong finger at Saudi Arabia as being the principal financier,” he said, adding, “I am speaking of the kingdom,” or government, of Saudi Arabia, not just wealthy individual Saudi donors.
Sources who have read the censored Saudi section say it cites CIA and FBI case files that directly implicate officials of the Saudi Embassy in Washington and its consulate in Los Angeles in the attacks — which, if true, would make 9/11 not just an act of terrorism, but an act of war by a foreign government. The section allegedly identifies high-level Saudi officials and intelligence agents by name, and details their financial transactions and other dealings with the San Diego hijackers. It zeroes in on the Islamic Affairs Department of the Saudi Embassy, among other Saudi entities.
The review commission, however, concludes there is “no evidence” that any Saudi official provided assistance to the hijackers, even though the panel failed to interview Graham or his two key investigators — former Justice Department attorney Dana Lesemann and FBI investigator Michael Jacobson — who ran down FBI leads tying Saudi officials to the San Diego hijackers and documented their findings in the 28 pages.
Graham smells a rat: “This is a pervasive pattern of covering up the role of Saudi Arabia in 9/11 by all of the agencies of the federal government which have access to information that might illuminate Saudi Arabia’s role in 9/11.”

I realize Spencer’s tech guy, marc, has a lot to do maintaining all the glitzy, busy bells & whistles on this site, but there are some features that are bad for commenters. The ghostly grey text draft box here, where you can’t see what you’re typing. Also, the lack of warning as to when your sign-in account has run out, so that you can have posted, say, nine comments swimmingly well, lulling you into complacency so that on the 10th time, you type out something long and complex, then forget to copy it, hit “Send” and suddenly out of the fucking blue get an error message that you need to sign in all over again, thus losing your long, complex comment.
Another thing that irritates me about this text draft box is that it doesn’t bump down normally as you type lines, so you have to keep scrolling down or bumping down with carriage returns just to move the text you’re writing back up to be able to see it while you are typing — and the box is so fucking small, this becomes a pain in the ass — AND, there is this long row of busy glitzy bells & whistles of Facebook, Twitter, “in”, “digg”, etc. that just stay fixed there and get in the way of visibility of the already ridiculously cramped text draft box space.
Champ says
The ghostly grey text draft box here, where you can’t see what you’re typing.

This isn’t an *issue* for me at all, and I can see what I’m writing here just fine. I have good eyesight and I don’t wear glasses, so perhaps you need to wear corrective lenses; but if you already do wear glasses, then maybe it’s time to get them rechecked. Just a thought …

Hello Champ!! Old “Vog” could perhaps be somewhat color blind. (Many males are, to varying degrees). In which case, it could possibly pose a problem. But what I miss are “UP” or “DOWN” vote possibilities. Don’t know how easy – or difficult – it is to add to an existing site.
Champ says
Hi EYESOPEN! …oh, then glasses for color blind might help, like these:

😀
voegelinian says
This isn’t an issue of “color blindness”. It’s an issue of light/dark. This text in the draft text box is markedly lighter and fainter than the text after you post. I have been commenting on probably a few hundred various forums over the past 15 years, right up to the present, and I have never seen any forum with a problem like this, and I have never had this problem before anywhere on the Internet.
Edward says
voegelinian,
At 80 I’m the worst typist on the planet….early when I started submitting a post it took me forever. So I day decided to draft my remarks on notepad….in this way I can take more time to compose my thoughts and don’t have the ghostly grey text draft box on hold while I’m typing.
Perhaps, these error prompts most likly occour when we go over the system’s preset time in keeping the text drafting box active.
So, here’s the process: Type your comments on notepad> proof read… correcting your spellings and polishing your grammer here (editing while going over your work)> then select all that has been typed> then copy data unto the PC’s clipboard> then paste clipboard’s content to the JW’s ghostly grey text draft box> finally submit your completed thoughts. Then re-read your master piece amongst the other postings 🙂
One these days when I can afford one those fandangle speech-to-text programs (Nuance, the ‘Dragon’ software) I’ll be able to spit out what I want to type before I-i-i …..dooze off zzzzz!
Suggestion: if you want to save your work to keep a record of your lastest comments, that is if for some reason they are not published you can re-submit later again or just to be able to archeive your sayings or just for the hell of saying it again!
There is something I wish Mr. Spencer would incorporate in the articles comments foremat…..providing means of editing one’s submission after it has been posted on JW.
Sometimes I have a senior moment (brain fog) and forget to proof read my own pre- submissions …so what I usually do to save face I hit the ‘REPLY’ option and retype the required corrections, but first by saying Ooops!! before I re-type over my own @#>&*%*||?? needed boobo’s fix 🙁
voegelinian says
Yeah, I have adopted the habit of drafting my comments (if I know they’re going to be detailed and relatively lengthy — unlike this one) in a Word document. I don’t fuss with “Wordpad” — I just go straight to a blank Word document. Anyway, as I noted above, this problem I have encountered only here at Jihad Watch after the latest refurbishment makeover that occurred a year or so ago (this problem never existed at Jihad Watch for the decade plus I was commenting copiously here prior to that). I have never encountered it in the some hundred other various discussion forums I have written comments on (craigslist, Gates of Vienna, pam Geller, Debbie Schlussel, Ace HQ, Examined Life, Voegelin View, on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on ….
And this snide issue of my supposed failing eyesight is also ignoring my other concrete complaints described in my OP.
voegelinian says
Another deficiency (or oddity) here is the seemingly random process by which some comments fields get divided up into “Newer comments” and “Older comments” while other fields don’t. I used to think it might have something to do with the number of comments (you know, going for the most elementary reasonable explanation). But look at this field here on which we are commenting: 104 comments, and no division into “Newer” and “Older” — whereas I have seen other fields that get divided with far fewer total comments (50 or 40 even).
Linde Barrera says
To voegelinian- You sized up the problems very well. But I am a techno dunce. What can I do about them, pray tell? May I refer to you as “Vogue” because you are in vogue, having a lot of knowledge about topics of which I know little.

voegelinian says
“Also, the lack of warning as to when your sign-in account has run out, so that you can have posted,”
Since I don’t post too often nowadays I figure that my Login name will be no longer be noted on the webpage’s marquee; I no longer look for my users name there; so I go directly to the ‘LEAVE A REPLY’ format field and type my users name and email address after I had satisfactorily pasted my new comment on the JW’s ghostly grey text draft box. I go through this purposely as a save-guard to prevent me from inadvertently sending any incomplete comment contents. I do this with confidence as long my personal profile is correct and kept in the JW’s data banks file.

See.
Here’s the thing about bowing.
At least what I was taught when I was taking Karate.
Obviously, when you bow lower, you consider yourself the inferior.
But even so, you never bow so low as to lose sight of your adversary.
To expose the back of your head or neck, is akin to a dog rolling on its back, exposing its underbelly.
Basically you’re saying for all to see, “I acknowledge this person as my complete superior, so much so that I am willing to show I am only allowed life because of this person’s graciousness.”
It’s grovelling, plain and simple.

If you Google the vid moment, you might turn up a commentary by someone (I forgot the name — sorry) who understands how seriously an indicator this is of Obama’s Islamic empathy.
voegelinian says
Part of it may be a Leftist New Agey thing, showing “respect” to a perceived “underdog” (which in PC MC is usually Third World, and pre-eminently Muslim). The pop rock musician Carlos Santana is a flaming New Age Leftist, for example, when he appears on talk shows, bows deeply when approaching the host to shake his hand. On the Jay Leno show, after Carlos performs then walks over to sit down, he bows on the floor with his face to the floor before Jay Leno. In addition, another Leftist meme Obama may have been communicating goes something like this:
“My African-American Presidency is the beginning of a new era in American Presidents and their international relations. Too long, America has appeared to be arrogant in its relations to other nations, other peoples, and other heads of state. As a symbolic gesture of my profoundly radical redressing of this longtime pattern of conduct, I want to dramatically and vividly reverse that arrogantly superior relationship with other heads of state — particularly Third World — which America has heretofore maintained. I will show the Saudi King that America is strong enough to show humble respect before the sovereign of another nation, another culture…”
Hey, I oughta apply for a positiion on the White House speech-writing staff… 🙂
(Note: my explanation above is not intended to exclude the Islamic factor in Obama’s motives — but actually may point to how cleverly he massages and weaves in the dominant PC MC motifs into his deeper allegiance to Islam, confluent with the deeper, darker waters of Marxist Revolution which I maintain are his dominant worldview.)
RonaldB says
Well, there is the possibility that Obama just bows a lot:
http://www.thewire.com/politics/2014/04/a-not-so-brief-list-of-all-the-things-president-obama-has-bowed-to/361160/
Anyway, Obama is a bit on the outs with the Saudis anyway. Do you think the Saudi’s like the confused negotiations with Iran on the bomb? The last thing the Saudis want is a nuclear Iran, and here Obama is preparing to give away the farm to Iran.
Also, the Saudis have decided the Muslim Brotherhood is a bit too close to ISIS and al-qaeda, which wants to not only depose, but behead the Saudi royals, and declared the Muslim Brotherhood to be a terrorist organization. Obama’s administration is, of course, riddled with Muslim Brotherhood agents. Obama inherited a Muslim Brotherhood-riddled government from George Bush like he inherited a crashed economy…and like the economy, Obama put his own stamp on the disaster.
If only Jeb Bush wins the presidency, he will set everything right with the Saudis. The Saudis have been firm friends with all the Bushes. The Saudis provided major funding for George H Bush when he was playing businessman, before he played governor, before he played President.
Here is my take on the Saudi cover up:
The Saudi royal family is notoriously wealthy and notoriously splintered. They run the gamut from extremely fanatic Muslim to establishment Muslim. Also, there is no real distinction between the royal family and the Saudi government. They are one and the same.
So, it is not surprising that some members of the Saudi royal family used their wealth to fund al-qaeda penetration of the US and held high positions in the Saudi government. The question is, did their actions reflect official policy of the Saudi government, or was it a case of very-highly-placed rogue elephants?
Once the trigger was pulled, the Saudis called in all their chits to cover up any high-level Saudi participation in 9/11. Even if the king didn’t support or even know about 9/11 before it actually took place, Saudi is based on tribalism, and a Saudi royal will always protect a family member from outsiders, even if the member stabbed him in the back.
One obvious question is, did the Saudis overtly blackmail Bush, or was it a general understanding that they cover each other’s backs? I’m inclined to think that the Saudi ambassador just told Bush that it would be extremely embarrassing for both governments if the investigation focused too much on Saudi government involvement, and Bush picked up the hint immediately.
I wish I could agree that Obama is a worse president than Bush was. Both of them are not only scraping the bottom of the barrel, but looking under the barrel. Both supported unrestricted immigration, both defended Islam, both brought Muslim Brotherhood agents into positions of influence, if not power, and both advanced anarchy and revolution in the Middle East.
Linde Barrera says
To RonaldB- Your critique of Bush and the Saudis was good, and I agree with almost everything except when you wrote: “If Jeb Bush would only get elected, then he will make everything right with the Sauds.” Are you implying that Jeb Bush will suck up and kiss butt to the Saudis more than any other president? Because that is what I think he will do, and I want a mountain between the US and those evil Saudi leaders, I don’t want hugging and kissing. The Saudi royal family are terrorists in my opinion. Please clarify. TY.
RonaldB says
Hi Linda,
I only saw your comment right now.
Please don’t take me as an authority of any kind. I try to take what I read and make logical sense of it. That should not be confused with any type of expertise. If what I say makes sense, then explore it further. If it doesn’t, or if it goes against facts that you know, discount it.
Having said that, in my opinion, the Bushes have a special relationship with the royal Saudi family. Saudi investors pumped money into George H Bushs (second president) oil company. But, the relationship with the Saudi’s soured, at least for a time, when Bush invaded Iraq against their advice.
There’s a lot more to talk about, but I have to leave the keyboard again. I emphasize once more, I am not an expert, just someone who tried to connect dots.
Linde Barrera says

There must be at least a small possibility that if enough pressure is applied by the public the redacted information could be opened. The Saudi connection has gone a bit like it does for a privileged accused serial molester. The first accusers are laughed at or scorned, then it becomes a curiosity, then awkward, and after it’s apparent it ends with anger. It seems at this point too many relatively disinterested people have found reasons for suspicion. If SA had a supporting role in 9/11 the American public must know. Americans cannot vote or behave in a politically rational manner if Saudi crime is concealed.

The GOP remain cowrds — but the former Sen Graham (D) is leading this charge — why did he not do that years ago? Only reason i can see is that the saudis stepped over one of sultan Barry’s invisible “red ;lines” by attacking irna’s team in Yemen. Graham’s present interest must have been urged by the WH.

For more on this, see the essay I wrote back in 2011 (even then, I was noticing that she was largely forgotten):
Remember Jayna Davis? (and related questions)

“Why is the FBI whitewashing the Saudi connection to 9/11” Simple, we can not offend “other” cultures even if they cut our heads off. We can offend us as Christians, Jews, White Racists, Women haters, Greedy Capitalists, etc, etc. Why? Because we are f******dhimmis. And that is how we loose our freedom.
Wellington says
Bottom line: As long as Islam is exculpated for 9/11 (and so many other atrocities), then to the extent it is does the greatest problem of our time remain, to wit, the continued refusal to see Islam, all of it, YES, ALL OF IT, as a menace to Western Civilization.
There is Islam. And there is liberty. These two can never be reconciled no matter how much the Obamas, the Bushes, the Powells, the Kerrys, et al. assert otherwise. In fact, to the extent these limited people do assert otherwise, then exactly to that extent do they reveal themselves as either ignorant of Islam’s designs or, what is even worse, complicit with them. No third alternative exists here.
EYESOPEN says
Right you are Wellington. And… if they are ignorant – at that level – of such a national security threat as we have faced, and continue to face, they do NOT belong in their jobs!
Maria says
maybe its being white washed because the FBI and CIA knew what there freinds the saudis where planning and instead of preventing 911 they allowed it to happen so they could have a excuse to take our freedoms and spy on us more and control us if they trained alquieda against the soviets in Afghanistan and Bosnia for there own interest why would they not do the same thing to there own country if its in there internest this is my theory. From what I remember it was on the news that the CIA was told that arab terrorist where planning to use hijacked airplanes as missles into building so 911 could have been prevented why wasn’t it?
David M says
Exactly right Maria, the US should be more concerned about who allowed it to happen, obviously Bush & Cheney were the two highest. Skyscrapers do not fall from fire damage, never have before & never will again. Nano thermite particles were found at Ground Zero, as well as molten steel pillars for months afterwards, these temperatures cannot be reached by plane fuel fires. Cheney stood down NORAD on the day & allowed it all to happen. The Saudis may have financed it, but sections of the US government allowed it to happen. It was a total false flag, just like the Gulf of Tonkin Vietnam war starter they have admitted was a false flag too.
duh_swami says
David M…If you are an American, and you have evidence that Bush /Cheney were complicit in war crimes against the US or others, it is your duty to report it to the authorities. The problem with 911 truthers is that they cannot finger an actual culprit…Mr Big eludes them except for ungrounded claims.
Until we get a ‘who dun it’…We don’t have much…
David M says
The things that happened after the event are the most suspicious to me. No black boxes, an invasion of Iraq that had nothing to do with it (& more lies re WOMD),the Patriot Act that trashes your constitution, molten steel in the debris field for months after, the reluctance to hold an enquiry by the government. A plane was tracked for an hour & flew into the most secure air space building in the world (the Pentagon) while Cheney sat there & let it happen? Oh really? Mayor Giuliani orders the illegal removal of the crime scene evidence & ships off the steel beams overseas to be scrapped the next day. If the official story is correct there should have been mass prosecutions for serious neglect of duty, as well as Giuliani prosecuted for illegal removal of evidence, & Cheney prosecuted for sitting there for an hour & allowing the plane to hit the Pentagon, including standing NORAD down.

Now according to a web site I visited ( but I can’t remember which web site) I heard that King Abdullah
of Saudi Arabia donated $2 million to the college that Obama attended to pay for his tuition.
So that means Obama is in on the 911 attack. I also heard that his dog has to travel in a separate
plane. Moslems consider dogs to be unclean. He makes speeches against Christianity. It must be concluded that Dems and Reps are the same party. Operation Jade Helm 15. The operation is to be
carried out by the National Guard. Jade means Chinese Communist Party and Helm means that the
Chinese Communist party will be at the Helm. Andropov is behind the idea of using Moslems to bring Communism to the world, Lenin would call such people “Useful Idiots” However, it is obvious that radical Islam is out of control and not under the control of the former Soviet Union.
Obama has fired about 250 high ranking officers in the US military, he is obviously planning on a military coup. The Dems stand no chance whatsoever of winning the Presidency, the backlash against
such an obvious traitor to the American Constitution will probably put the Dems out of the whitehouse
forever. The weather underground who is behind Obama have no other choice to maintain the Whitehouse but to try a military coup. Now according to SteveQuayle.com there are 2 million members of the Chinese Liberation Army in America as sleepers. the Chinese have been transporting AKs and other arms into America by means of Containers. George Washington had a vision of America being attacked by some foreign power far in to the future. China now has more subs than America. .

Sorry, but my south Louisiana upbringing is showing. If a politician or law enforcement organization was on-the-take, you could smell the corruption from a mile away! And so it is with the modern day FBI. Why does the FBI bar me from their website, fbi.gov, when they could simply refute all my accusations of corruption or have me arrested. I’ve called them out for “Misprision of Treason,” a federal offense for officials ignoring threats to the Republic. Their strategy seems to be to just “Ignore him. He doesn’t count.”
Where was the FBI’s mind when the Russians warned them twice that Tamerlan Tsarnaev was a terrorist and the Bureau pronounced Tsarnaev as American as apple pie? Of course, the Russians also warned the CIA; but, they were too busy supplying the Syrian “rebels,” otherwise to become known as ISIS.
Where did a certain Saudi citizen disappear to after he was tackled by a bystander as he ran from the scene of one of the Boston bomb blasts with his clothes on fire? He was hospitalized, found to be on the “No Fly” list and was visited by Michelle Obama in the hospital. Did the man’s student visit allow him to be living in Boston? No, it was in place to allow him to attend college in Findlay, OH. At any rate, who the hell gives student visas to terrorists on the “No Fly” list? I guess we do.
One of the Saudi’s cousins was imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay and the FBI spent hours interviewing his roommates and placing a SWAT Team to guard his hospital room. Then the man disappeared! The DHS swore that they didn’t know where he was!
Guess where he appeared next? How about at the White House Fourth of July picnic three months later? All of this and not a peep from the media.
Drop me a line if you have all this figured-out, will you?

Your arguments would hold a lot more water if you gave some references or links for your assertions. Such as information about the Saudi hospitalized, and the appearance of his cousin at the White Hour picnic. It’s hard to evaluate vague assertions and fuzzy linkages.

I don’t have a link or name, but I do recall the saudi guy who was “arrested” and then in the hospital and then…poof! No more news on the guy, but I do seem to recall someone saying he was back in sa and nothing more.

I dare any one to investigate 9/11. Look at the facts, the evidence and be honest with yourself. Do not be afraid. All you need is an up to date computer and an open mind. You can get a lot of reliable info from youtube. Some logic will help as well. Then make up your mind. Then you will understand more about why the FBI bahaves the way it does. Do not blindly believe the NIST report. Put it to the test, a rigourous test. All you need is average intelligence.

What evidence is there of President Bush personally reading and redacting anything in the report, re the general statement ” 28 pages of the final report of his inquiry which were originally redacted, wholesale, by President George W. Bush.” I cannot see ANY president, not even Obama, doing anything as damning as that. Obama’s personal records were very likely ordered sealed by his handlers rather by his personal action.
